Oh yeah I forgot to say this earlier bc of the gross shit I saw on YouTube but I found this old comic I remember called Endertale and was excited to revisit it and the pages that came up in the dub were demonizing Chara, or at least seemed like it was from the few lines of dialogue I saw :(
It’s also one of the ones that get rid of flowey and bring back asriel which is a concept im just not a huge fan of anymore. Nothing against bringing asriel back in an au but it’s not my cup of tea, flowey is more interesting imo
Also unrelated to the above but look at the cover, not dissing it’s good /genuine but it’s the most 2016 undertale fanart I’ve ever seen
Tumblr media
I think I’m gonna reread it for funsies :P

I finished it. So please, let me explain what this is.
First, it’s Undertale September, but I decided to just do everything at once. Second, I liked the idea of every character being from a different AU. This was pretty much randomly assigned, so I had to design a few of the characters that didn’t previously exist in the story. Third, I liked @tatatale‘s Palette Challenge so I did every character in a different palette.
And so, I ended up with this
Gasttale Frisk by (unknown), palette 11 Stroyshift Asriel by voltrathelively, palette 12 Spirittale Flowey by my friend (Belle), palette 12 Chesstale Chara by (unknown), design by me, palette 3 Xtale Toriel by Jakei, palette 4 Underswap Napstablook by Popcorn Pr1nce, palette 15 Underlust Sans by NSFWShamecave, palette 6 Birdtale Papyrus by Greyscales(I think?), palette 7 Undertale Annoying Dog by Toby Fox, palette 18 Magusverse Grimm(Grillby) by xfr3eax, palette 19 Burstale Shopkeeper by Aymar, design by me, palette 10 Othertale Undyne by Superyoumna, palette 1 Overtale Gerson by (unknown), design by me, palette 2 Horrortale Mad Mew Mew by SourAppleStudios, design found online, palette 13 Underpray Shyren by (unknown), design by me, palette 4 Dancetale Monster Kid by Teandstars, design by me, palette 15 FNaFtale Temmie by JadaE (me), palette 16 GZtale Alphys by Golzy Blade Dee, palette 17 Quantumtale Burgerpants by perfectshadow06, palette 8 Underdecay Mettaton by Little-Noko, palette 9 Deltarune Bratty by Toby Fox , palette 1 Reapertale Catty by Renrink, design by me, palette 20 Epictale Muffet by Yugogeer, palette 2 Neurosistale Asgore by JadaE (me), palette 3 Deathflower  Gaster  River Person by JadaE (me), palette 5 Clickertale Onion-san by Vitjok, design by me, palette 20
AUs that landed on the amalgamates (which kept them the same): Underfell by Underfella (Memoryhead, palette 14) Outertale by 2mi127 (Lemon Bread, palette 5) Endertale by TC-96 (Reaper Bird, palette 16) Glitchtale by Camila Cuevas (Endogeny, palette 17) Abysstale by Meta-kaz (Snowdrake’s Mother, palette 18)

Why I do not like the idea of the Skele-Chara Redemption, by Goldy
(Warning: Some spoilers for other Undertale Fan Works below)
Hello, Goldy here. I just wanted to share my thoughts on something that's a part of AFAC, since... well, it's pretty easy to guess where ACAF will also head because of it.
Let it be stated first and foremost that this is something that’s been on my mind for years as I’ve kept up with AFAC. The goal of this analysis/rant is to get people to think about the issue at stake, and not to throw shade at anyone in particular. I am intrigued at the idea of evolving from one kind of being into another. It’s been explored a lot. What I don’t like is the idea of using that kind of transformation as a redemption.
The reason? The whole matter is unsettlingly reminiscent of eugenics in my eyes. I am aware that there are those in the fandom who do not see the matter that deeply, and believe me, I do understand the intrigue of the transformation. But please, hear me out.
Let us start with the “SOUL.” Undertale refers to the “culmination of a being” with this term in all-caps. We know it by other names; the spirit, the ego, the consciousness, the mind, the self, et cetera. Undertale tells us through its plot that SOULs are essentially people themselves in metaphysical form, as evidenced by all the times Flowey/Asriel got his hands on SOULs that weren’t his:
His death due to his SOUL clashing with Chara’s for bodily control
Photoshop Flowey being defeated due to relying on aid from the six Human SOULs he took
Asriel being defeated in his God-Form by literally calling out to all the SOULs he had trapped inside of him, making them remember their love for Frisk, and then using that love to remind Asriel of what love feels like
We can safely say that as far as Undertale is concerned, SOULs are people: essentially, as the personalities of people. Therefore, to forcefully change a SOUL in any way, by any amount, would essentially be changing one’s personality. It is not unlike the eugenic procedures of lobotomies and other forms of brainwashing.
Onto Skele-Chara. Returning once more to Undertale, the Game also goes out of its way to make clear that there are differences in strength and sprites between Human SOULs, and Monster SOULs. In order to be Human, one’s own SOUL needs to be a Human SOUL, and to be a Monster, one’s SOUL needs to be a Monster’s SOUL.
Chara in AFAC was human. They are now a Monster. This is not just a change of appearance. Their SOUL changed from being Human to being a Monster.
A change of the soul is a change of the personality. An artificially induced change, reminiscent of what defines eugenics. This is why I don’t like Skele-Chara’s Redemption, because it sends an unintended, inadvertent message that the only way for a person to be redeemed is by forcefully changing a person as opposed to going through a natural process of understanding their actions and wanting to change. I am not saying that Chara did not also want to change, and I know that as of writing this, any personality change has yet to be seen in the comic, but the fact of what a SOUL is- as defined by the game- and how it fundamentally works cannot be ignored. At least, I can’t. It’s not unlike a scientist who nitpicks sci-fi, only in this case, it’s philosophy. One does (arguably) not get more philosophical than the topic of the soul and its significance.
Forgetting that SOULs are people is an issue with the fandom at large. I believe that we tend to forget that because we empathize with the Monsters’ plight being trapped in the Underground. They have no choice but to see SOULs as a vital resource to their freedom without regarding their personhood, and as a result, the fandom also tends to adopt this view of the SOUL. It shows in various popular works: HawkerGary’s “Ask Drunk Chara” had Chara’s revival due to splitting Frisk’s SOUL- their being- in half, and using half of themselves for the revival process. TC-96’s Endertale does the same thing to revive Asriel. LynxGriffin’s bonus ending to Dogs of Future Past has seven human SOULs “donating” themselves to Flowey in order to turn him back into Asriel, while various other works have characters and askers alike donating SOULs to Flowey out of nowhere with no questions as to whom they are to or how they were obtained.
And I get why. Death is seen as a natural, sacred, part of life. Unless you work miracles, revivals are not supposed to be easy, or guaranteed to happen without a hitch. I myself am a proponent of reviving Chara and Asriel because it gives them a second chance to live the lives that were tragically taken from them, and to give proper closure to some of the remaining trauma the Dreemurr Family endured.
I will never be comfortable with the idea of the Skele-Chara redemption happening for the same ethical reasons involving the SOUL and the Self. But I still like the comic and the story it tells. It was one of the first Post-Pacifist stories I found when I was still new to the fandom. I’m still aware that as of writing this, we have not yet delved into all the implications of this transformation. If AFAC does end up doing this, I’ll consider it a good thing. If not, so be it. Everyone has at least one problem with their favorite stories. It’s a sign of how much they like them.
These are one man’s thoughts and opinions. To be clear, I am intrigued by transformations, I love redemptions, and I’m all for revivals when they are executed right. I just don’t like the idea of having to rely on the darker side of the sciences of thought to do so. What I want is for people to take a moment to stop and think about the implications of Souls as people. Thank you for your time.

In Deltarune, it is said that Asriel once sang in Hometown's church choir. Here is my depiction of said choir singing at church, and what happens when you apply said church choir to my silly AU... Notes: Originally the song the chorus sang was an existing church song called Holy Holy Holy by Reginald Heber (1826) . The original version can be still seen here: Choirboy: Part 1 (Normal Route) : Undertale (reddit.com) I switched it to another song because it seems whatever religion Hometown revolves around, its citizens worship the Angel in the Deltarune emblem. I tried to find a good song that would fit Monsterkind's worship of the angel but I had no luck. So instead I decided to try something a bit crazier; use The Legend of the Deltarune song adaptations from Youtube. I found a great one from Youtube Channel Game Rec Room which you can find the song here: (2) The Legend: Deltarune the Musical Chapter 1 - YouTube I only took a piece of the song and edited the lyrics slightly, since I doubt that Hometown's citizens know the terms "Darkners" and "Lightners." From this song change, I like to think that the church has a version of the Deltarune legend that Asriel sang at one point, and Ralsei knows the Deltarune legend because of his possible link to Asriel, whatever that may possibly be. (Also looking forward to this crackpot theory of mine to age terribly, lol)
Edit: I forgot to mention that the pose Asriel is in on the top panal came from the Endertale Azzy concept art here by TC-96, my bad: ET-Asriel Concept by TC-96 on DeviantArt

[ENGLISH]
I realized that a very long while ago I made this sketch of Asriel from my AU, but I never did a proper drawing of him, so I decided to do it.
I made a younger version of Asriel, back when he first met Chara.
I took a heavy inspiration from Endertale Asriel’s design, by @xxtc-96xx (He is so freaking cute :3)
And yes, he is trying to use his fire powers lol (pretty cute, ngl)
Full info here!

Have you seen AU from other Endertale belonging to TC-96 ? That is Siblingtale. Which is where Frisk and Asriel have a younger sister from Asgore and Toriel. Named Astell.
And do you have a ship like that in your AU Endfultale or fanchild ? (Or you ship Asgoriel or Soriel)
Oh yeah, I’m pretty sure what got me into the Undertale fandom was stumbling upon one of Endertale’s comic dubs! Siblingtale is super wholesome too if you ask me, Astell is a total bean >x3
I consider myself more of an Asgoriel fan actually, although nobody would probably guess that- I don’t draw ship art too often haha. But I feel like Asgore deserves redemption, like cmon he’s just a fluffy goat dad who wants to be with his family again ;u;
I wouldn’t say I’m a hardcore Soriel fan either, I mostly didn’t use the idea in Endfultale because I head-canon a big age gap between Sans and Toriel. Most people think I ship it in my AU since Frisk looks up to Sans as a father figure, but that’s just because she’s more on the skeleton side of the family and idolizes them more hehe
(Then there’s Travis crushing on Kiara, but we’ll just have to see where that goes ;3)

Post-Pacifist in Undertale and taking heart
One thing that's been on my mind a lot recently with writing Wholehearted Half-Souls, along with uploading the sprite teaser comic for it, is how I've heard lamenting from various people within the Undertale fanbase concerning being in agony that Asriel will supposedly, according to their claims, always be in his Flowey body "forever" and never see his family again. Yet, all of this is built on assumptions. Quite frankly, this is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
NOTHING in the game is saying that Frisk would *never* go back for Asriel/Flowey. If anything, it's likely they do because true pacifist Frisk isn't the kind of person to forget their friends or simply *not* care about the monsters. Moreover, the OPEN-ENDEDNESS of the ending leaves so much room to tell so many thrilling sequel stories. I'm writing a sequel story now, and many have before me. It's a BLESSING IN DISGUISE.
If Undertale's ending weren't as open-ended as it is, then stories like Wholehearted Half-Souls, but also works like Endertale, Beyondtale, Souls' Link, Over the Void, Growth Spurt, the Best Friends Forever collection, and more wonderful sequel stories would never exist. Again, it's a blessing in disguise that it's open-ended. That way, Undertale fans can use their brains to show all of the various ways that Asriel can either have his real body back or perhaps stay in his Flowey body but come to live with Frisk and Toriel again, continuing his redemption arc established by both the barrier break and also at game reopen after true pacifist.
Honestly, there's *no* reason to be sad. There's *no* reason to be in agony. Because, with UT finishing with being somewhat open-ended, now fans have all the opportunity to write wonderful sequel stories about how Asriel/Flowey's redemption arc can continue, along with seeing how our favorite ambassador Frisk would take care of him, like how they take care of all the other monsters. Heck, write about other characters, too. I can't count the number of Sans AUs out there. Back to the point though, with how true pacifist Frisk is, it's anywhere from *likely* to *inevitable* that they would go back to help Asriel/Flowey. It's just who true pacifist Frisk is. The other Frisks from other timelines would probably not do that. But true pacifist Frisk? You can count on it, based on how their personality is in that timeline. Besides, nothing's saying that you can't make a canon-compliant/canon universe sequel story and not get away with it. Just follow the lore and write well.
Let's enjoy how there are so many great sequel stories out there that do their part in telling wonderful sequels about our favorite cast of video game characters, especially for a redeemed goat-flower child and his new cherished friend, Frisk. And, if you desire to make one and you have the proper vision, why not make your own?
This isn't Deltarune; your choices DO matter and because of how there are no sequels and the ending is still semi-open ended, the writing room is your playground. Take off; run with it.
It may be hard at times, but it's honestly really worth it. I know I love reading and writing about these wonderful characters at the end of the day, and I hope you do all too.
Take heart. The sky's the limit. And please, above all else, stay DETERMINED.
