I just wanted to drop in and say hey, as an old member of the Maximum Ride fandom and one you talked to pretty extensively. It's Ni. I was looking for my old fanfic on ff and found your blog via your profile. I saw your archive site, made me nostalgic for the forums. It's funny to think, but they really had a big effect on me, it might've taken me much longer to figure out that I'm bi and trans otherwise for one. I still have the Sherlock Holmes book you sent me. Yeah, the whole archive site exists because a few years ago I kept wanting to show people old Maximum Ride stuff, but didn’t have it all in one place. And the more I put together, the more I realized that I would absolutely not be the person I am today without MR fandom. (Back then I was still a couple years from realizing I was trans, & now I’ve been out for more than a decade, which is wild to think about.) I was so lucky to know you, and everyone else in that chatzy group — I heard from EndOfTheEarth a couple of years back (he’s doing well), and occasionally a few others post on the flockforum site. The time has passed so quickly it’s hard to believe…

I’m doing OK on the whole — I’m always glad to hear from old friends :)
