in every college!au i've ever thought of, deku is some kind of double... science/engineering major. i just always think of him as the guy in cargo pants with a pencil behind his ear, taking... 22 units a semester AND doing a sport. he is so hard to talk to cuz of how busy he is😭

and todoroki, in my mind, is a math major!! i have so many thoughts for him that i want to save actually, but it's so funny cuz not even he knows how he ended up doing stats and calculus 24/7. i def agree he's a major changer tho (from business, YES), and maybe even transferred schools too.

shinso is an education major... which i both love and hate for him (always has a fucking visitor's lanyard badge on)... sero + jirou (who has a job djing at a local club) a communication/media studies program?? which everyone HATES him for, and........ momo (may or may not be dating jirou👀) also as lit/eng! My Identity as a Rigger / Rope Top

Most of my friends (including many on here) who know me well know that I am passionate about a few hobbies, and one of them is my love for rope bondage. 

My journey in rope bondage began a little over 5 years ago. To be honest, at that point in time I did not have much interest in rope. I saw it as a long drawn, uninteresting activity. But, I’ll be honest, a lot of my friends circle was curious about learning and doing it, and so I thought it does not hurt to learn at least how to tie someone quickly and safely so that the “fun times” can begin. 

I started learning Japanese shibari / kinbaku first from websites and YouTube (very bad idea, do NOT recommend), and then from books (better idea) and teachers (best idea, though not always practical depending on where you live and how much you can afford). 

In Japanese shibari there are several schools of thought, and I started learning the one that is most commonly taught at a beginner level: the Denki / Kanna style of bondage. In the beginning, what captured my interest in rope was more the geometry and engineering. The Denki style is strongly structural, and it intrigued me about how to build strong, stable structures that withstood tension and pressure and could be used very safely. The shapes that emerged from it were to my liking in a mathematical / geometric way. Interestingly along the way, I had to use quite a bit of physics, and learned quite a bit of human body anatomy - layout of nerves, blood flow, muscles, tendons, pressure points, flexibility and tolerance. It was fascinating, in a scientific way. 

So, I kept learning, contrary to my initial premise of “just a bit and no more”. 

3 years in, I had attended close to a dozen workshops and lessons, and was increasingly fluent in foundational structures, tiny details, and the push towards perfection in execution of ties. But, something felt missing. I would tell my friends, I know a lot more about rope now, but I feel like I dont have my own flavour, style, love of what I want to do through rope. 

And at that point, something changed, a lot. I got introduced to the second major style [there are more] of kinbaku, a more esoteric and less commonly taught one - the style of Nureki / Naka. 

Naka’s style of tying initially looks puzzling. It is far less structured, it has weaknesses that need to be carefully adjusted or patched. But, it has something that at least I had failed to feel in the Kanna style - and that was emotion. Naka’s style of bondage - classically centred around the concept of semenawa (suffering and endurance in rope) is not about structure and shapes and patterns. It is a way of expression, a language of communication of how you convey your feelings to your partner / lover / bottom / submissive in rope [note: not all rope bottoms are submissive, although I would argue that you need to be fairly masochistic to be into semenawa]. 

What Naka style of bondage enabled me to do was something that I struggled with - to express emotions. As a person I am fairly good at identifying and knowing what I feel and when and why. But, I am not good at talking about it. Words get stuck in my mouth and my mind - perhaps influenced by social and cultural pressures of being vulnerable as a man. So, I instead turned to rope as a medium to express - express my pain, my sadness, my aggression, my anger, my passion, my love, my loyalty, my deep care and affection - and share it with the person I am tying with. It is not uncommon for us to be able to convey, shuttle back and forth, and sense and cry together on those shared emotions without any, any words being spoken. And that has something very beautiful in it. 

I have been tying mostly in Naka style now for more than 2 years, and have attended multiple trainings and workshops. It has opened up a new world for me in bondage and self expression. My friends tell me that my personality switches when I start tying. I am generally a very laid back, soft spoken, gentle and approachable person. But, when I and my rope bottom kneel down side by side and I put her in place and reach for the first line of jute, the mood shifts. The tension is thick and quiet, in search of wordlessly sharing and listening to the emotions of the day. I extract every bit of submission and surrender out of her [note: I have sometimes tied men too], and she knows that me making her endure and suffer is, in a twisted way, a proof of how much I value her, how much I this depth only with her, how much it touches me to see how far she is willing to give to my (often) silent unleashing.

I am far from a master, it will probably take me years more to really find my own way of expression. But I am happy with what shibari has given me, and how it has helped me grow as a person - in patience, in expression, in connection. This year I hope to actively start teaching [I have taught in bits and pieces before and have been kindly encouraged], but the logistics of it are yet to be worked out. Perhaps this is also why I am critical and selective about the rope work I often see on social media (especially here on Tumblr) because I can very easily see mistakes where many just see a pretty picture, and I feel responsible to share the real essence of shibari.

thinking ‘bout meeting izuku midoriya at a college party: he’s the cute engineering major a friend from your physics class – ochaco – introduced you to. she’d been talking him up to you for the better half of the last few weeks now. she knew that the first party of the semester was just around the corner. ochaco was determined to get you laid, and izuku clearly; she had been for months at this point.

you were just so high strung lately, which was unusual for the beginning of the semester. that kind of stress generally didn’t come until the later fall months.

despite how smart she was, ochaco could be kind of air-headed. she wasn’t always so quick to catch a clue.

you were studying in the campus library the last time she mentioned him. in the light of the day’s dying sun, filtering out of the science hall with ochaco on a tuesday evening, the pair of you made the choice to get an early start on the latest assignment you’d been given.

of course, not long into the brief study session, she started talking about him.

“he’s so sweet,” she said, flipping through scientific articles for her research paper, “you’d love him!”

you rolled your eyes at the way she gushed, focusing instead on reviewing the lecture notes in front of you. you were sure this deku – as she often referred to him – guy was all these things, but you were tired of hearing ochaco boast about him like he was some sort of sales pitch. especially when you’d already told her you weren’t really interested in being set up.

she just nodded in agreement to get you to shut up before pressing it further: “he’s really cute, too.”

you huffed in annoyance, tucking your papers into a binder. you shuffled to pack your bag, the pages of a textbook rustling as you work to close it. ochaco whined out from beside you.

“i’m sorry, Y/N,” she sighed, “it’s just– i kind of already told him i’d introduce you at the next party.”

“huh?” you asked, like you didn’t just hear her perfectly. you waited for an answer, nonetheless, and she scrambled to find one under your glare.

“he’s seen us together a few times now around campus and thinks you’re really pretty! he’s convinced you won’t talk to him unless i introduced you, so i sort of… told him i would.” she squeaked, eyes screwed shut. she’s so dramatic, you thought, folding your arms over your chest.

“you could have just said that, ‘chaco.” you said. there was a look of disappointment in your eyes that you didn’t really mean, but she didn’t have to know that.

“i know, i know! and i’m sorry i didn’t!” she said – pleaded.

“i’ll meet him. for you.” you said, sternly. in reality, you were kind of excited about the prospect of meeting someone new. you had met a few of ochaco’s friend’s before – tsu, kyoka, momo – but never izuku. you’d seen pictures on instagram of her beside a number of pretty boys – shoto, denki, tenya – but not that one. you wondered if he was just as easy on the eyes.

you never tell her this though, instead you let her think you’re a saint.

“thank you!” she clasped her hands together in prayer, like you were something to worship for your generosity. the look you spared her was one of pity, she decided, hugging you tight as thanks. you just laughed, you weren’t so sure what you had signed yourself up for but surely, if he was ochaco’s friend, he really couldn’t be that bad.

when you finally do meet him, it’s in momo yaoyorozu’s backyard on a friday night.

the night is young, sun just past the horizon, when you enter the backyard with a pack of hard cider (at mina’s request).

you’re wearing the cute little sundress ochaco let you borrow. you start to think that she might be pushing the idea of this too hard, when she becomes the center of your vision.

“Y/N!” she shouts, waving you down amongst a sea of faces. You let out a sigh of relief at the sight of her amicable smile and let your shoulders drop. standing beside her is an unfamiliar mop of curly green hair.

then your eyes meet his dazzling green ones – two big emeralds on his boyish face.

“finally!” your brunette friend says, animatedly. she stands up from the picnic table she’s sitting at to greet you. shadowing her steps is the man you assume ochaco has been eager for you to meet, though he hesitates before greeting you.

ochaco hugs you in haste before introducing you to the green haired stranger, “this is izuku.”

“nice to meet you,” he says, like that was his cue.

“and you.” you gingerly set your hand in his upturned palm, allowing his rough fingers to gently clasp around yours. he shakes your hand, brief but firm – respectful, you notice. he’s definitely the blushing virgin type, but he’s cute.

he sticks like a keychain at you and ochaco’s side throughout most of the party. during a quick game of soccer on the street out front, however, he’s quick to to join in – teaming up with kirishima against bakugou and tenya.

ochaco waggles her eyebrows at you, handing you another clear shot. she sits beside you on the curb, legs stretched out on the road.

“sooo,” she says, as the pair of you watch them, lit up by the street lamps outside. she circles a finger into your upper arm, drawing lazy figures in your skin.

“so what?” you ask, swatting her arm away, like she’s just a mosquito buzzing around you in the night.

“so what do you think of izuku?” she questions mockingly.

“you were right. he’s sweet.” you say, downing the liquor. you try not to scrunch you your nose at the taste.

“is that it?” she scoffs, as if she’s in disbelief.

“what do you want me to say, ‘chaco?”

“i want you to get laid! c’mon, you know he’s cute.” she says, hushed but still expressive. you can’t help but agree, he’s really cute.

“i need something to drink,” you laugh, avoidant of her stare. she sighs and gets up, happy to oblige.

ochaco had left the two of you alone hours ago, letting mina drag her away with some lame excuse. it was fine, you had been in good company thus far. the two of you traded stories over the bonfire out back, shared a joint with his close friend shinsou, and even exchanged contact information.

and now, you’re drunk, shameless, and barefoot on the front steps of momo’s home. izuku, from beside you, rubs your back and holds a bottle of water to your lips. the party continues inside, but from outside of the large home, the blaring music is nothing more than a muffled sound in the background.

“‘zuku,” you say, pulling away from the mouth of the bottle you’d been nursing, where a thin strand of saliva connects to your plump bottom lip. izuku can’t help but imagine what it would feel like to touch them, if they were as pillowy soft as they looked.

he’s pulled from his thoughts when you lift your left hand to cradle his cheek in your palm.

“hm?” he asks then, eyes averting your stare. he doesn’t think you’d be so forward if not for the state you’re in. you rub your thumb over his mouth and to the other side of his chin. his adam apple bobs in his throat when he swallows hard. his eyes are forced to meet yours when your thumb lands on the other side of his jaw, pinching his chin between your fingers.

“you ever been kissed?” you ask, scanning his face now that you’re in such close proximity. his eyelashes are long and curly, freckles dotted along his cheeks and over the bridge of his nose. his pretty green irises glitter under the dim porch light as they settle on your lips.

“n-no,” he stutters out, voice breaking. and that’s when you kiss him, left hand snaking to the back of his neck to pull his face into yours. your tongue digs into the seam of his lips and he opens his mouth for you in compliance. it’s sloppy, but his chapped mouth feels so warm on yours. his hands find purchase on either side of your thighs, digging into the fatty flesh. he licks into your mouth with eagerness, and while it’s messy, it’s endearing. your fingers dig into his veridian curls and he moans.

he pulls away in embarrassment at the sound, a look of horror colors his face and he slaps his hands over his mouth.

“i- i’m sorry,” he apologizes, bowing his head several times in quick succession.

“no,” you giggle, “don’t be.”

then you lean in, shifting your weight from your ass to your knees to meet your lips with the shell of his ear. your breath fans over his skin, blush blooming over his face, “i wanna make you do that again.”

im a canadian so i dont go back to uni until like the first week of septemeber! no matter that though; the thought of attending the same university as bkg (diff programs and what not) just got me sitting with moon eyes in my room like an ABSOLUTE IDIOT. IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IT BUT UGH- meeting after class with him or sitting in lectures with him (despite it not being your class/major... like at ALL)?? i luv.

GOSH DARN YOU canadians and quarter system students for getting to enjoy an extra three weeks of summer :(( i know i got out mid-may but it DOESN'T FEEL FAIR WAHHHH :((

anyway. oh my god, uni student!bakugo scratches such an itch in my head, you don't even know, nor do i where to begin.

...but you KNOW this guy is a double major, maybe even minoring in something, too (i always think contemp history and engineering or some other weird arts and stem combo). That's probably why you have class together, just because he's in EVERYTHING, maybe even plays a sport, too. Football or rugby, most likely, but i digress.

I always think he's the type of loner student who only ever talks to his friends and LOATHES group work. That's probably how you end up meeting though, isn't it? By being forced into a short project with him that (starts out a bit rough but) ends up going SO smoothly because you're a hard worker and he likes that...

AS THEN YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON he ever wants to sit next to, talk to, or work with ever... and the whole thing just grows from there, getting his number for homework stuff and then running into him eating like... the entire hot bar at the dining hall LOL.

but uh... god. You probably become a little inseparable, I think. He chases you down and gives you his coat one day after class because he notices you walking out without one. He buys you shit at the campus store because he claims he has too many campus dollars to spend. Even ends up inviting you to one of his friend's (Denki's) frat parties because he "doesn't wanna hang out with those stupid idiots alone."

i just... AHHHH. And everyone knows about you, too. Not just classmates but all his friends. Like you go to drop his coat back off at his dorm and kiri's opening the door all exited to see you. Tries to be smooth abt it but fails so badly and gets a pair of his dirty underwear thrown at his head.

(it's so funny. Kiri's leaning on the doorframe smirking at you, all "wow, i've heard so much about you" while Bakugo is behind about to choke him out. He's finally able to shoo him out of the way, and when you're alone in the silence of the hallway, he gets SO red trying to explain why Kiri looked so smug looking back and forth between you.

"I'd invite you in, but. Ei hasn't done his wash in—fuck, three weeks."

You laugh. "It's alright. i gotta walk back soon anyway."

And he's is immediately patting his pockets and looking for his key. "Let me walk you, at least."

You want to protest, but he's too quick, already slamming a fist on his door to tell Kiri to stop spying through the peephole and that he'll be back soon. Through the door, a quiet "go get 'em, man," is the only thing that follows when you start to start to make your way... and Bakugo insists you put his jacket back on so as not to catch a cold.

It’s short, 2/3 chapters. I know it’s discontinued but I don’t mind how it leaves off because it’s not a major cliffhanger and it’s really easy to imagine where the characters end up from there.

Kaminari’s Declassified Coming Out Survival Guide

Local disaster bi, Kaminari Denki, is yanked right out of the questioning stage of his life and now has to navigate the process of coming out. He decides to do it step-by-step, with each step taking more courage than the last. And if coming out equates to slaying the dragon, then perhaps by the end of this he'll get the guy, too.

In the cannon universe, 7 chapters and completed.

I LOVE THIS FIC! Coming out stories can have unresolved angst in there and coming to peace with who you are, but this is just Kaminari figuring it out but not stressing. There is a fight scene between Kaminari and a villain but it doesn’t result in angst, it’s all good times and fluff in here.

What’s Luck Got To Do With It

In the second row, two seats back, there’s a blonde boy with a black lightning bolt design in his hair. He’s tapping the fingers of one hand on his other arm, the thumb of his other hand tucked into his mouth so he can bite his nail, and one leg is bouncing incessantly under his desk. His golden eyes flick from Hitoshi to his classmates, to the window, then back to Hitoshi, like he was either nervous or bad at keeping his focus in one area for long. Every bit of advice ever given to Hitoshi by his dad about not falling for loud blondes instantly flies out of his head.

Izuku Midoriya: Psychology, minor in Mathematics. No, Kacchan, he doesn’t know what he’s going to do with that.

Katsuki Bakugo: Chemical Engineering, no minor. Just a lot of electives, and he’s all over the board on those. He wants to be really good at almost everything.

Shoto Todoroki: Literature, minor in History. His dad wanted him to go into Law, but Shoto detests law. Always has. You know what he likes? He likes to read. He’s one of those nerds who will randomly just carry around “War And Peace” and read it smack dab in the middle of the quad. 

Tenya Iida: Pre-Law, minor in Chemistry. He’s had his heart set on Law School since he was a wee lad. 

Occhako Uraraka: Chemical Engineering, minor in Women’s Studies. Bakugo and her take a lot of the same classes.

Asui Tsuyu: Biology, no minor. She takes a lot of dance and theatre and writing classes for her electives. 

Toru Hagakure: Women’s Studies and Marketing double major. Professional Writing minor. No one knows how she balances that work load. No one knows.

Momo Yaoyorozu: Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Civil Engineering. No one knows how she balances that class load, either. Uraraka looks on in awe. 

Hitoshi Shinsou: Criminology, minor in writing studies. He wants to write books about serial killers.

Kyoka Jirou: Music major, Chemistry Minor. Denki jokes that she’s going to write songs about test tubes. She told him to screw off. He told her he’d listen to her music no matter what it was about. Everyone but Bakugo ignored the fact that she blushed for the next twenty seconds.

Mina Ashido: Art and Fashion Design double major. She’s gonna make the best dresses, and she wants to be the most badass fashion designer on the face of the earth. 

Eijirou Kirishima: Exercise Science(“THAT’S A FUCKING PSUDEO-SCIENCE, SHITTY HAIR--”). Or Women’s studies. Or Marketing. Or maybe Literature??? Oh, and he’s also been seen taking engineering classes. He’s still undeclared, and no one knows what his minor is. Least of all him. He needs a solid talk with his advisor.

Denki Kaminari: English, minor in Exercise Science. “Bakugo, I promise, I’m going to write a book on getting freaking swole--” “Pikachu, if you don’t stop talking about that book you’re never going to write, I’ll shove the very non-real idea up your a--”

Hanta Sero: Chemistry Major, Biology minor. He has no clue what he’s doing, but he likes pouring stuff into things and the watching things explode part. He’s doing amazingly well. Professors have written him stunning reccomendations. He doesn’t know how it’s working, but he’s enjoying it.

Tokoyami Fumikagi: English and Literature double major, Forensic Criminology minor. He is going to write even longer, darker books about serial killers than Shinsou is.

Yuga Aoyama: Theatre Major, Fashion Design Minor. He and Mina wind up in a lot of the same classes, and Tsuyu is always in his theatre classes.

Mashiaro Ojirou: Mechanical Engineering, minor in Psych. He really enjoys making stuff, and also knowing way too much about how people’s minds work.

Koji Koda: Environmental Science. This wasn’t even a choice, it’s just what he’s doing. He’s also super involved in like 30 different clubs, from the sustainability club to the dog-walking club.

What do you think each student of class 1-A's quirks would be like if they were under the effects of trigger? If the trigger dosage matters, how about the amount that Mimic had as a baseline.

Hey so how would Trigger affect the 1A kids?

I don’t really think the dosage matters. If anything, the target’s Quirk seem to have a much greater impact on how the drug effects them, with stronger Quirks having weaker results. So, for the sake of this, I’m not going to be covering them of the more powerful Quirks in the class since Trigger may not effect the Quirks in many major ways. So no “One For All”, “Explosion”, “Half Hot Half Cold”, “Dark Shadow” or “Creation” for this.

Sato: The effects of the sugar last longer and have a greater impact on his strength output as he looks far larger.

Aoyama: Grows smalls lens-like disks around his body, or maybe only around his chest, letting him fire out more lasers or bigger lasers respectively.

Mina: Her skin itself becomes covered in her acid, making her harder to touch and letting her cause more damage just by moving around.

Uraraka: Adds more pads to her fingers and forearms, letting her use her Quirk easier and increasing her weight limit.

Sero: The tape becomes strong, both in adhesive and tensile strength, and fires out much harder.

Denki: Overcharges his body, causing electricity to emit around him, letting him make more powerful blasts of electricity.

Koda: No longer needs to speak to communicate with and command animals, now communicating with them telepathically.

Jiro: Finger tips become like her earphone jacks, letting her stab people and make more powerful sound blasts.

Mineta: His orbs grow over more of his head and down his arms. Instead of throwing them, he can now fire them out at high speeds.

Tsuyu: Physical abilities are enhanced, becomes more frog-like as a result of the drug. That or gets some other frog abilities, like stronger poisons.

Hagakure: Enhances the reflective properties of her Quirk, letting her burn people when she reflects light off of her body and now she can do it normally instead of as Super Move.

Ojiro: Not only does his tail multiply, becoming five in total, but they become far larger and stronger. The hair on the end hardens to a sharp point that he can attack people with.

Kirishima: Basically just becomes Red Riot: Unbreakable on steroids. He grows larger and more durable as the rocks cover his body, making his look like some sharp rock monster.

Iida: Becomes more car like, gaining plating around his body and wheels growing out of his feet. His engines are larger, covering his entire back thigh and heel, and are more powerful.

Shoji: Starts to sprout out tendrils similar to his arms around his body, giving him more body parts to work with and making him look like some sort of horrific limb monster like something out of The Thing.

It's really funny when you're popping ziploc bags full of nothing right outside tamura's dorm when he's trying to power nap before exams

only to meet the flash of yacchan's cellphone

toono will fall asleep during study sessions sometimes and yacchan will facetime you so you can let out a boom and wake him up

he will most definitely fall off the bed and yacchan will most definitely record it

Shikatani – S/O's Quirk: Zero Gravity – This Quirk allows the user to cause people and items to float on contact. There is a weight limit on how much the user can levitate, and if this Quirk is used to much, it will cause the user to get sick.

it's really helpful when you help him deep clean

after all, if the supplies are gracefully floating behind him, that leaves his hands free to do twice the work, saving him half the time

but you're content to watch the beautiful boy work

if you help him clean like that, he won't ask for much more that day

he is very very conscious of how much you use your quirk

because he cares about you too much to let you get sick

since he knows for a fact that because of his ocd he won't be able to take care of you

and that stings

so on the days where the chores have all been done he gets the honor of experiencing the effects of your quirk in bed

he likes how it feels when your tease him from the air above

your throat feels more open

but it's not like he can do too much about it since the instant he gets too eager you always float just out of reach

sometimes if he's behaved very well, you'll suspend him

the headrush he gets is euphoric

Akemi – S/O's Quirk: Hardening – This Quirk allows the user to harden any part of their body. This shell can withstand several tons of metal falling on the user, along with shock waves, explosions, etc.

but every once in awhile, he can be particularly malicious

really it's less about the scene and more about what comes after

due to the limits of your quirk, aftercare is all on him
