❄️ Winter Sonata ☁️
Here’s my new little winter piece as we phase out of fall! I really enjoyed painting the ice sheet section and actually discovered a new method of painting clouds that I really like!

I’m going to try to use this screenshot of a room I built in minecraft as a mockup for an illustration. Wish me luck, folks!

“But complex animals had obtained their adaptive flexibility at some cost--they had traded one dependency for another. It was no longer necessary to change their bodies to adapt, because now their adaptation was behavior, socially determined. That behavior required learning. In a sense, among higher animals adaptive fitness was no longer transmitted to the next generation by DNA at all. It was now carried by teaching.”

Photo bash and edit study thing. Painted over the photo so I guess I didn't bash anything on it, just used it. Needed a break from my Yelan piece and a thumbnail for my how to paint fire video lol. Tend not to photobash anything in my art most of the time 'cause I'd rather learn how to paint things from the ground up but it's useful for learning how to mesh and edit things every once in a while. Still not something that feeds the beast for me though. Anyway as usual with anything I have used photo elements for I like to give credit so props to Stergo on Pixabay for providing this butterfly piece for me to procrastinate work on my Yelan painting with lol.

Found once one cool environment concept art tutorial video about sketching landscapes by Jordan Grimmer (youtube) and tried it myself. That was fun actually, certainly will repeat. With grid next time.
