Considering the age difference, I can’t help but wonder if Maron already has someone he loves? Maybe a paramour, or perhaps someone he loved in silence. Was he forced to set that aside to fulfill his duty? The marriage was undeniably political, but the way the narrative frames it, there’s a sense of mutual fondness between him and Daenerys. I want to believe he treated her with respect, that he honored her, and that, in time, he truly loved her.

Hopefully, that's pretty much what one could hope for, as we see with Sansa thinking on Willas Tyrell after Margarey and Olenna Tyrell tell her they'd try to ship her off to HG to marry him. Though this is a bit more of an extreme bc this isn't the usual kind of arranged marriage where Sansa's parental authorities or safe guardians would be negotiating for her/themselves, and she's desperately accepting under the threat of Joffrey raping her, I'm talking about the emotions and hopes of arranged marriages where there's hope of the kind of developed and learned love Ned and Catelyn had.

It's absolutely possible Maron did...it's also possible he did his fair share of slutting around with prostitutes or any person, as Dorne is much more open towards that and he was the Prince/heir. We simply don't know.

I absolutely think that Daenerys enjoyed a high amount of respect and care from Maron regardless because he built an entire, HUGE, water-fed structure after she asked. Water is a prized thing, I reckon, in such an arid climate in Dorne even with the nobles likely having a higher claim traditionally built into their infrastructure. She was not lacking in either material or emotional care; men don't do things like that unless they are "obsessed" and in love with their partners or trying to get something from the/delu-lu/showing off his own power to his subjects or other people. Nothing in text so far indicates the latter. I'll say this much, too: that Daenerys' son seemed to value her and her advice so much that we have recorded evidence eof her saying that he should look after his subjects first and foremost shows her higher position and her value in the Dornish court, her having her own household, her authority having a lot of weight, what the boy-heir likely saw in how his father valued her, how much this boy-turned-Prince loved and respected her. She was comfortable and self-assured enough to say what she said. Even though it's just one sentence in the actual text and some may argue that it's just Maron respecting the diplomatic relations OR/AND Dorne respects (noble) women's autonomy, neither would efface the clear image of Daenerys II focused much more on raising a leader and building her family than on Daemon Blackfyre...indicating he was not that high in her priorities....which troubles the narrative of him being a disaffected hero against those mean, ugly Dornish invaders.

Yeah I agree with you, that's why I noted his absence in general. I feel like she had many close calls as she says in YLM (final blow) but it actually finally came when the show happened by some realization/acceptance. Whether it's feeling disappointed, or that life was better, or what I lean towards, a sens eof them already living separate lives and not belonging together anymore and she was done holding on to a plank of wood from what was their ship.

(I got a strong impression that they went on something of a break for lack of a better term before Eras, noting the distance they'd have and how rocky things have been for a while. But when it started Taylor kinda realised it needs to be more of a breakup. I think Peter really suggests a lot of this but I realise it's heavily heavily speculative and we won't and can't know. It's just my read of events but could be way off)

yeah like... this is kind of at the limit of my boundaries for what I personally feel comfortable discussing at the moment, so I don't really have much to say on the matter.

I guess my tl;dr of it all is sort of similar in that, I think there was A Lot going on, and A Lot that was making her unhappy, and feeling the unbridled joy of the crowds and the fulfillment she got performing for them for the first time in five years in contrast to everything she experienced on the other end of that spectrum in her personal life in those intervening years made her short-circuit. And yeah, made her realize that whatever she thought they once had they no longer did and it was definitely not worth giving up all this in service of that.

(And also, like Jake and all of them that came before him, his own comfort and security held more weight than supporting a loved one in an important moment, physically or emotionally, and well. Similar endings.)

Sure, here's a quick one.

It started as just another day of big bro Natsu putting the fear of god into Todoroki, which he calls "brotherly bonding". He voices his delight that Todoroki doesn't even try to fight back when Natsuo tickles him, he just tries to escape, fails, and takes it.

Todoroki is actually surprised that he's allowed to fight back. Natsuo jokes that it's actually his big brother prerogative to wreck him whenever he feels like it.

Little does he know that Todoroki is an extremely vindictive, methodical ler once he gets permission; the only ones who know are probably Deku, Kiri, and possibly Kami.

Todoroki gives it a couple of days. Maybe even weeks. He doesn't want Natsuo to suspect anything, and he doesn't want anyone in the house who can stop him.

The two of them play some dumb sport Natsuo loves. Then, when he plops down on a bench to have a drink, Todoroki makes his move.

He creates an ice column that encases Natsuo's legs and arms, so now he's not going anywhere. Then, he drags a chair behind Natsuo, who can't get his ass off the bench and can't see Todoroki.

Natsuo realizes what's going on and begins bargaining, but Todoroki has entered his "scary literal unflinching" mindset and there's just no way to stop him.

Todoroki starts at Natsuo's sides, since they're one of the most ticklish spots on Todoroki, and he's not playing around, his hands are already under Natsuo's shirt, squeezing and kneading his flanks.

Natsuo isn't fooling anyone, it's immediately obvious he's ticklish, but he's not laughing hard enough for Todoroki, so he begins scribbling at Natsuo's stomach, and his brother goes from giggling to laughing in 5 seconds flat (horny author's note: as flat as Natsuo's stomach).

Todoroki is just relentless: he isn't just turning the tables on his brother, he's taking revenge for every single time Natsuo has subjected him to big bro tickles all at the same time.

Mid-laughter, Natsuo complains that it's unfair that he can't fight back, so Todoroki... coats his fingers in ice, which doesn't hurt Natsuo due to his Quirk, but they glide even more easily so Natsuo's laughter rises an octave, especially when Todoroki dives in his bellybutton as well.

Natsuo apologizes, it tickles a lot and also it's kind of humiliating, which is Todoroki's cue to change spots and go after his ribs and pits next, which aren't any less sensitive.

Natsuo has never seen that side of his brother, on the one hand it's kind of sweet that he is learning to accept and give physical contact, on the other he is absolutely terrifying and ruthless!! Like he doesn't quite understand what the social norms around it are, so he has no qualms about tickling his brother to tears.

And when he finds that spot at either sid eof Natsuo's chest and digs in there, that is exactly what happens. Except tears won't stop Todoroki, his brother is strong, he can take so much more (eager lee Kirishima has definitely skewed his perception there).

When Todoroki finally frees Natsuo, his brother just crumples to the ground in a pool of sweat despite the ice. He's worked him over good.

A month or so later, Todoroki notices that Natsuo hasn't really tickled him since and confronts him about it. Natsuo is too embarrassed to say that he's afraid of Todoroki's payback, but Todo guesses as much and tells him he can still do it, and he apologizes if he went overboard. Natsuo tells him not to restrain him again, Todo promises, and Natsuo pounces, keen on reestablishing his role as the big brother!

Reader is not created by Father here, since all the homunculi created by him are siblings.

Reader being homunculus would definittely help Envy open up to them quicker, especially if they are close to Lust or Gluttony, as they are Envy's closest homunculi.

It probably wouldn't matter much to Envy what sin reader is, as long as he isn't bored around them. Envy would especially love it if reader keeps his mind busy and entertained, I really don't see him being into someone who has the same mindset as the rest of society and is easily predictable. He would be intrigued if they are an individualist and often suprise him with what they say. So, no matter what sin they are, he wouldn't care as long as they awake his interest.

During missions, Envy would often show off in front of reader, and if they compliment his fighting skills or intelligence he would get an immediate (I have no idea how to write this word, sorry TT) ego boost.

I think that depending on the sin reader is and their abilities, whenever they go on a mission, especially if it is a generally dangerous one, he would secretly worry about them. At times, he would even go to the extent to follow them in disguise so that he is sure they are safe. Of course, he would never let them know he worries about them, not only because he believes in their capabilities, but also because he is a bit of a tsundere.

To include Lust, I think she would be the type to help reader and Envy out whenever they are mad at each other or generally in a situation where they don't want to talk to one another becaus eof an argument. (which would probably happen quite often with Envy) Envy would never back down, no matter what, and reader would probably have to be the one to reach out to him and maybe even apologise even if the fault is not their's in the slightest. So, to prevent reader from feeling bad, she would talk to them, explaining that Envy deffinitely feels guilty and deep down he is sorry, but he is just not the guy that would get on his knees and beg for forgiveness, so reader has to accept him and love him the way he is.

"Just because he doesn't say that is sorry, does not mean he isn't. You should think about the situation from his point of view too, reader. This is Envy we are talking about."

Talking about Lust, I can see Envy going to her for advise every one in a while, whenever he wans to make up for something mean he said to reader or just wants to make them happy. Lust would very quickly understand exactly what he means, despite his demeanor.

"So...Do you have a minute, Lust?..You know, me and reader..the other day I got..I guess a little bit..too fired up..it was over something irrelevant..but now they don't speak to me at all so..you know.."

Looks down on humans along with reader.

Would train with them to make his combat skills better. Secretly goes easy on them, but still wins, to not accidentally hurt them.

If they have seen his true from and didn't find it repulsive or scary, he would loosen up around them much more.

An amazing week. We saw more wins than losses; I want to call out specifically the wins from removing attributes from metadata (up to 8.2% faster builds for 18 benchmarks) and from enabling LTO for rustc_driver.so (up to 9.6% faster builds for an epic 230 benchmarks, with zero regressions).

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Not in public, he has an image to uphold. He would have you sit on his lap and wrap his arms around you but thats about as far as he’ll go. 

In private, he’s actually pretty cuddly. He loves coming home and cuddling away his stress. Of course he’s scared that he’ll crush you because of his giant stature, so he opts for cuddling positions with you on top. He’ll hold you directly on top of his chest or in his lap

His cuddles are very warm and firm, but also extremely soft. Sometimes he uses his scarf to make a pillow for you. He likes to have his scarf off during cuddling, but earlier in the relationship he would keep it on. Believe it or not sometimes he likes to nuzzle his own face into your neck, it would be rather far into the relationship becaus eof the close proximity of his mouth to your face. But sometimes when anxiety/sress/insecurities sneak up on him, he likes you to hold him because it makes him feel safe and secure

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He’s extremely faithful in a relationship, nothing compares to his loyalty. 

Definitely wants to get married, I mean we all know his mom. He wants it to be a true marriage, not just arranged. He wants to actually love his bride and have his bride love him. Once he knows he love you, his proposal is not far behind

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Once again, he has an image to uphold, so in public he prefers no hugs. But wherever you are he will always have an arm around you.

In private he’ll initiate hugs but sometimes he’s too shy or insecure to, so you have to. He’ll always hug back and place a kiss on your forehead

Kata’s hugs are very warm but extremely gentle. He’s afraid of hurting you due to the size difference, so he holds you really gently trying not to squeeze too tight. His grip is soft but he holds you very close to his body. He likes to pick you so you wrap your legs around his torso, and he’ll place his hands under your butt to hold you up while he rests his chin on your shoulder

It’s not easy for him to trust and be open because that makes him vulnerable. He sees “I love you” as being fully open and vulnerable with whoever hears the phrase. Katakuri is scared that once he says I love you, you’ll run away. The first time he says it is most likely when he shows you his mouth

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

As said in “I”, it’s not easy for him to trust people. He doesn’t like sharing his secrets, most likely because he doesn’t want to appear vulnerable or weak to anyone, also his siblings and mother don’t help that.

Once he feels safe with you, and like you won’t judge him or make fun of him, he’ll start to open up bit by bit. Once he uncovers his mouth is when he’ll start sharing the bigger secrets. Whenever he opens up about any type of secret or topic, you should take this as an extreme complement

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Very protective. He’s terrified to lose you because you’re the only one who makes him somewhat accept himself and feel genuinley happy

Everytime he’s with you he’s right there beside you, he’ll bring you anywehere he can unless it’s dangerous. He makes sure that everyone in his family and out knows you’re his, and therefore under his protection. If for some reason he can’t be with you, he’ll have someone watch you. If you’re stuck at home while he’s off at sea doing something for Big Mom, he has a group of guards specifically for standing guard outside your house and another group for escorting you wherever you want to go

Okay but no, it's actually really pissing me off that in all the years of the entire Star Trek canon, we can have several GAY KISSES in the 80s and 90s, as well as a literal god-entity who can bring a whole mariachi band on board the Enterprise-

But in 2022, there is not a single hijab on any Federation starship.

Islam is the second-largest religion on the planet, and it's the fastest-growing by far in THIS century.

We've had Christian characters, quotes and iconography. We've even had a few Jews, (though I think there could DEFINITELy be more representation for all that Jewish folks have contributed to Star Trek - Hanukkah in Ten-Forward anyone?)

But not a single Muslim presence onscreen.

Major Kira is a devout religious character who in no way is seen to be less-than because of her beliefs. We see them challenge her and affect her in real life. We see both the corruption and the beauty of Bajoran religion tackled in a beautiful and nuanced manner.

I'm not even asking for a storyline like Kira's. I understand the allegorical nature of Bajoran religion as a METAPHOR for real religion, and the role that science fiction has in ALLUDING to real life without the bluntness of addressing it.

But I think it would be nobler to show us a future where all religious practices are ACCEPTED and accounted for, and coexist, rather than a religionless world.

Religion has caused untold harm and foul cruelty and violence in ths world. Every religion has within the capacity for hate, murder, and complacency in suffering. But it's up to the humans who practice them to give them value. And whether you want to admit it or not, religion is a cultural cornerstone.

Saying your utopia has "eradicated' religion is just cultural genocide and erasure under an altruistic label.

Not saying that Star Trek has said this!

I'm not even Hindu, but the reference to Diwali in 'Data's Day' really touched me. But I think we still have a little ways to go.

I can't speak for everyone who identifies as religious, but if I were out on a voyage into the inky black uncaring void of space, if there's one thing I'd want to take with me, as just one small human in a vast universe, it would be my connection to that comforting presence I sometimes happen to call God.

The meaning it has- just acknowledging that every one of us can have a place in the future without cutting peyes, changing names, hiding crosses or magen david or items that bring us spiritual comfort. That world peace and harmony without forfeiting the beliefs our ancestors cherished for centuries is possible.

I don't need to see a plac eof worship or prayer on the Enterprise. Hell, I don't even WANT to see a place of worship, or people praying on the enterprise. I enjoy the idea of a society that isn't FIXATED on religion, especially fundamentalism, as much as any other peace-loving leftist hippy.

Memories of past hurt. There could be a real sense of panic that washes over you when it pours outside. Over time you may have learned to treat rain as a bad omen. Some if this may not have nany basis in your current reality that the fear us so deep rooted that it's almost impossible to penetrate. I felt a lot if resistance before channeling this Pile, it was almost as if spirit didn't want me to touch upon these.

Either you wronged someone terribly or had something horrible happen to you in the past. Your conscious mind may have buried this to protect you. There is also a sense of picking at your old wounds and making it worse in the present day. I would really recommend keeping a journal kr speaking to a trusted professional about this.

Some of you need to meditate on the judgement card. Keep lists. And journals. Play the real or not real game. Question every toxic / hurtful thought you ever have about yourself. Let go of shame. Release the pain. You may feel guilty about a lot of things, I feel liek there is a grandma or some ancestral figure who was devoutly religious and could have severely admonished you for being a rational thinking child. This figure could have put fear into you. I felt so. E really heavy scorpion IC energy when I was reading for you guys. Like a spiritual shield around you. You could be naturally psychic or spiritual aligned but had to suppress that part of yourself because of the fear mongering at home. Now that you're older you're free to explore your sexuality / tarot / wicca or other occult practices without being branded as evil / ungrateful.

Of all the piles I've read for, yours feels the most sacred / private energy. Almost as if you have some kind of a Guardian angel trying to protect you from the truth / pain unlocking this could cause. There are some truths you need to uncover for yourself, by yourself. It will be long and probably any of you care about my life. But as always I use Tumblr as my diary and it helps getting things out of my mind.

So here we have a new chapter of Honey Bee's rant that could be a good ass love triangle plot for some wattpad book.

The whole thing started in September... My friend told me about a course she would do in Ireland and how she wanted me to go. I accepted without a second though, which is very strange because it doesn't go with me. I'm very anxious and I hadn't left Spain EVER.

We went to Ireland and we met the most sweet and wonderful guy (guy A) in there. He has some mental health issues. He is not good, but even though he has the purest soul ever. He is sweet caring and really unique. Plus. He is just like me. We like the same music, we have the same personality, we are the same.

We spent a week in Ireland and I caught some really weird and confusing feelings.

My best friend is in a situation ship with this guy (guy B) from Spain. He is not fully what she wants but... Well, it's there.

The last day after saying goodbye to the guy in Ireland, she told me she was confused and was feeling things about him but she had her "boyfriend" at home.

I felt as if they had thrown cold water at me. I was there, sad and confused because eof my own feelings and she was telling me this. All my insecurities came to surface and I felt even worst. I though, well, guy A would be better with her, she is better than me. It doesn't matter. I pushed my feelings deep and comforted her. I did for days.

Things with guy B weren't better. But things with guy A are. They talk everyday, he feels comfortable around her and maybe they are catching feelings.

We talked about this. I told her about how I was feeling. And she understood. We had some deep conversations about it and we really feel more connected than before.

But then. Then the doubts about guy B came, she is not sure of wanting to be in a relationship with him. She is confused.

Any of them knows about the other guy.

And as days went by and I kept comforting her about this issue, I decided to move on.

Between Guy A and I there isn't a big connection, I tried, but it didn't work. He likes her and I understand. I really do because she is amazing and has something that makes people like us feel safe and comfortable. I see what he sees on her. It still hurts though. I decided to move on because 1, between us it would work; 2, he is younger (+18) and is not okay, he really isn't; 3, he lives +4000km away. Getting into something with him wouldnt be responsible. It's not the right thing to do.

And since a couple of days ago, when she talked with Guy B, things got worst. She really doesn't want to have something with him. She wants something with Guy A. But. She still has this "relationship" with Guy B. He is still there. Guy A doesn't know about it. He thinks she is single. She is not. She doesn't have labels but promised exclusivity to Guy B.

And I'm here thinking of Guy A and how he is how he could feel and how much it can hurt him. And I feel the worst. I tried to make her think about it. To make her think about how he would feel. But she doesn't want to tell him.

And it hurts so much. I feel so selfish. Guy A has serious mental health problems, we don't know completely what happened to him, but she is playing with him. He has told her many times he trust her and he feels safe with her. And she doesn't want to tell him there is someone else. And I feel that if he ever knows, it will break him, because as I said, we are very alike. It would destroy me to know something like this.

My best friend is following the easy way. She wants to see if she can go on with Guy B and then forget about Guy A. Or if it doesn't work with Guy B and she can go on with Guy A. But without any of them knowing.

And I feel the worst. She is doing it for herself because she doesn't want to loose them. But I'm terrified of what can happen to Guy A if he eve knows. She is being so childish and irresponsible. And I can't tell her to tell him. I can't do anything but watch. And today I almost tell him, but it's not my thing.

I feel selfish and I'm terrified. Isje is not acting well and I don't know what else to do because there is no more advice I could give her. I don't care if she ends up marrying guy A, really. It's not about that. But I took a step back thinking of him and his wellness. I didn't want to make him suffer or have a hard time. And it kills me to see how she doesn't see what I do.

And yeah, when I'm getting better she comes and tells me something new. And sadness started to be more like anger and I don't want to end up fighting with her because she is one of the best things I have.

Happy Halloween y'all! Just some pics from a ritual Master and I did last night

Basically, calling on our ancestors to join us and accept various offerings we had out, especially those ancestors who were victims of proverbial and literal witch hunts. Master is actually a direct descendent of on eof the victims of the Salem Witch Trials, so it was kinda important to him.
