Jean Valjean owns a flower shop, so Cosette helps him run the store. She's always wanted to be a botanist, so taking care of her father's business is something she's really passionate about.

One day a pair of people come in looking to get flowers for a friend of theirs. The girl has dark features and a glint of mischief in her eyes. The boy is tall and freckled, and his smile is infectious. They're absolutely gorgeous.

She helps them choose a proper bouquet for the event, not missing the way either of them keep eyeing her. She may or may not have lingered a little to long when handing them the flowers after she had cut them and helped them check out.

Cosette cannot keep her eyes off either of them, and is absolutely floored when the girl sidles up next to her to say "I'm Eponine. That boy over there is Marius, and we both think you're stunning," before walking out of the store.

One thing I love about the Les Mis fandom is that we're such flexible shippers. Like, most of us have favorite ships that we really love, but I don't think I've seen a single ship-hate post in any of the tags; the 'worst' I've seen is, "I don't really ship it but, hey, whatever." Pictures and headcanons sometimes get reblogged by people who don't normally ship something, because they acknowledge the cuteness of the post. There's plenty of multishippers. It's just been, as far as I've seen, a really safe shipping space, and that makes me so happy.

Let's talk about modern au Courfeyrac and Cosette's friendship

Courf and Cosette meet at age 12 at Catholic school

Cosette is this super scared, super smol girl angry at the world for giving her such a shitty childhood and taking away her mother

Meanwhile Courfeyrac is this shy little pansexual kid who had just been thrust into an environment that makes him feel shitty about himself, like he's a living sin

Courfeyrac sees Cosette sneaking away to the back of the school and follows her

To his delight she's smoking and blowing heart-shaped smoke into the air

He begs her to teach him (she refuses but from there on in they're friends)

Half the school assumes they're dating because they're always together

They're unafraid to get their hands dirty for each other

They dug up and moved the school gerbil's grave to save it from being destroyed when construction was being done

Courf helps Cosette quit smoking and Cosette helps Courf accept himself for who he is

Senior year they meet the rest of the Amis except Marius (although they already knew and hung out with Enjolras and Bossuet who go to the same school)

Courf is smitten with both Ferre and Jehan

Cosette meets Éponine again and is so confused because the girl who used to bully her but was nice when her mother wasn't there is hot and friendly and Cosette is getting feelings

They decide to go to Vegas with Enjolras (who is frustrated by Grantaire) to take a break from it all

Just saying, Cosette and Courf insist on doing body shots off Enjolras

Cosette and Courf are both pining drunk messes so it's not even a surprise when they wake up in bed together the next morning covered in glitter

They mutually agree to never speak of it again

When they get back, Cosette is delighted when Éponine shyly asks her on a date

Meanwhile Courf is pining because Ferre doesn't pay attention to him (the truth is, Courf and Jehan are Ferre's first proper crushes so he has no idea how to deal) and Jehan is dating Montparnasse

Courf is super upset that he can't choose who he likes more and Cosette suggests to him that he might be poly

A few months after Jehan and Montparnasse end things, Cosette encourages Ferre to ask out both Jehan and Courf

He does and Courf is overjoyed

Cosette and Courf often go to the spa at weekends to discuss Important MattersTM

These matters often involve running the betting pool they set up on when Enjolras and Grantaire are gonna get their shit together

When Cosette gets drunk at a party and kisses a boy in her class who she's had a tiny lil crush on, she's super upset because oh fuck she has cheated on her girlfriend

She apologises to the boy (Marius) and explains that she has a girlfriend, but she can't figure out how to tell Éponine

Also she's super confused bc she really likes Marius but??? She??? Doesn't??? Like??? Éponine??? Any??? Less???

When Courf finds out, he has the same conversation with her that she had with him and suggests she might be poly too

Éponine is super insecure that Cosette might not be into her anymore and decides to meet Marius and we all know how that's gonna go

"Y'know what 'sette, I don't even blame you he's adorable!!"

Courf persuades them to ask Marius out and they do and he says yes and it's all good

Courf calls Cosette "Coco"

Cosette calls Courf "Courfey"

They go shopping together and make their Halloween costumes together and get their hair and nails done together

They have a pact that if they ever get married, Cosette will be Courf's Best Bitch and Courf will be Cosette's Bitch Of Honour

They have 100% rented wedding dresses and got drunk on the couch while wearing them

All I'm saying is modern au Cosette and Courfeyrac would be such great best friends

Marieposette headcanon

Everyone  l o v e s Eposette, but what if we add an adorable Marius in the mix?

Eponine and Cosette had been living together for two years when Marius moved next door

They didnt interact much; sometimes they could hear some noises (mostly objects falling), but aside from that, Cosette and Eponine didnt spare a secound thought about the guy

Tho they never forgot how Marius gave them a box full of cookies as a welcome gift. They agreed that their new neighboor was a cute mess

One rainy day happens that Marius forgot his keys at Courfeyrac’s place, so he end up having to sleep over their’s since he had no one else to turn

It was awkward at the first, but Cosette made it less worse by playing a movie in the background while they spoke. If things went south, they could silently watch the movie together

Turns out that they did need the movie after all. Marius ran out of things to say and decided to anxiously watch the movie while Eponine stared, reading him like a book

After that meeting Marius was certain that he didn’t leave a good impression at the pair of them, so he ran away from them when he could 

About a week later, Eponine caught him when he was trying to leave his appartment unnoticed, and cornered him

“why are you avoiding us? did we do something wrong?” “no, you guys are perfectly fine! I just thought you didn’t want to see me anymore…” “wow thats a new level of horrible deduction. we want the opposite of no seeing you, marius” “ooh”

They stared hanging out more often, mostly over lunch or sleepovers, and Marius found himself being less anxious around them. He enjoyed his time with Eponine and Cosette and couldn’t wait for their next meeting without feeling his chest warm up and almost burst open-

oh no. OH No oH NO

this was NOT happening to him. What was he to do now? stupid stupid him. Always caring his heart in his sleeve. How would he pretend not to be in love with them?

He tried his best. Sometimes tho, in their hang outs he would loose focus and start daydreaming about how Cosette was the sweetest person alive and smelled like roses, or how Eponine had the most beautiful eyes he’d ever seen…

It went like that for quite some time, until he convinded himself he couldn’t keep this a secret anymore. Marius went to their appartment and confessed his feelings almost choking with air at the same time

Cosette and Eponine exchanged a knowing look and pulled him to their embrance. “we love you too”

The trio couldn’t stop smiling even if the world stopped spinning.

- FMAB: my forever fandom, this story owns my heart. I mostly ship the canon ships plus havoc and catalina just cause... i also ship olivier armstrong with myself but thats just me wanting to get r**l*d.

Royai is king of ships. I dont care if arakawa hasnt said much other than "fraternization rules say the cant" theyre together and happy and in love and have a family.

- BNHA: ive been in the fandom for like a year? Ish? I like the story and stuff, i find the fans insufferable with the few exceptions of the ones i know via chat etc (oof unpop opinion).

I ship kiribaku, momojirou, erasermic. Those are the three ships i feel comfy saying "yeah im 100% on board". I like izuku when he's shipped with either iida, todo or ochako, they all have cute dynamics. For everyone else my policy is: as long as it's well written i'm down (clearly this is ignoring adult/child ships that i cant and wont see dont fucking start your witch hunt you buncha failed spanish inquisitors)

- les mis: this is still very much a fandom im in, though i dont really do shit for it anymore (but i wanna so keep an eye open idk). I ship exr, clearly, jehanparnasse, epomarisette is really cute, jbm is also really cute, but i dont like feuilly and bahorel to be together, mostly because most of the times they barely have a personality and seem to be paired up just to avoid people being left single in the fic... yall single people can be happy, i was super happy.

- marvel: now im in the fandom in the broader sense. I love the mcu as much as a film major can (it has flaws people watch other movies sometimes) and i have seen every single mcu movie that has come out. I know the characters and my faves are cap marvel and thor also loki and falcon. Shipwise......... surprise me, ya kno... as long as it's not th*rki or stark*r or smth similarly incestous or p*dophilic im on board bruh. Valkyrie needs to be with mighty thor tho or i will go to taika myself and hes not gonna like that

- miraculous ladybug: again i dont do content for this, and ive stopped watching mid season 2 cause it was a MessTM, but i really like the show and it prompts for fun character thingies... i clearly ship adrienette/ladynoir but other than that i have no preferences??

- im struggling to think of any other fandoms i might be in, but honestly... i dont know????? As of lately ive been trying not to start any other shows and while i have some faves from the past (death note, yuri on ice, soul eater...) i cant say that im actually in the fandom for any of those. Usually i just admire things from afar and appreciate the content quietly and on my own, i hardly read fics unless im super into the original source and i dont like the ending/theres still no ending (see the ones ive mentioned above but marvel cause idk why ive never gotten myself in that swamp)
