Shadespell Earrings - Wondrous Item (Slotless/Equippable)
A magic item for the Shadeflesh Assailant.
Tumblr media
Artwork by Crafty Wonderland.
This is a magic item to give a creature very limited spellcasting with a shadow theme. It's an expensive item that turns a martial character into a 1/3 spellcaster like a ranger or paladin, and I designed it to be used by the Shadeflesh Assailant, a very high level enemy NPC that I posted earlier this month. However, if you're running a campaign where the players can't actually sell the magic items they get, there's nothing about this item that makes it too powerful to give out as treasure as early as level 4. It scales with the wearer's level, after all.
Earrings aren't actually an item slot in Pathfinder, so this item is slotless, but it still can't be worn at the same time as other magic earrings.
Shadespell Earrings - Wondrous Item
Aura strong illusion and necromancy; CL 13th; Slot none (equipped); Price 90000 gp; Weight —
DESCRIPTION
These onyx earrings benefit only creatures with at least 4 class levels in any class. A creature wearing shadespell earrings gains Spellcasting (if he already has Spellcasting from one of his classes, he gains it again, as if multiclassing). The wearer is considered a prepared divine spellcaster, gaining spell slots at the same rate as a ranger, treating his total level as his ranger level. Like a ranger, he uses Wisdom for spellcasting, and his caster level is 3 lower than his total level.
The wearer of shadespell earrings can prepare spells from the antipaladin spell list, as well as any illusion and necromancy spells from the witch spell list. If a spell appears on both spell lists at different spell levels, the wearer uses the lower spell level.
The earrings count as a holy symbol for spells with a divine focus component.
These earrings have no effect for the first 24 hours after being worn. A creature cannot wear shadespell earrings at the same time as other magic earrings; doing so disrupts both magic items and causes them to give no benefit.
CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS
Feats Craft Wondrous Item, Spell Focus (illusion), Spell Focus (necromancy) Other Creator must be able to cast 4th-level divine spells Cost 45,000 gp

what helps me most with public speaking is wearing nerdy-looking fake glasses. somehhing about the thin layer of separation between you and the audience helps me calm down+the glasses mask your face a bit so the audience cant see your face as well (and therefore can't tell you're nervous as all hell) and also i pretend its an equippable item with +10 eloquence and +5 charm
thats actually a solid advice ill try it next time. like it sounds like something that might work for me as well ty anon

L'nahri as mentioned in that last post/reblog, incidentally
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She is, technically speaking, another one of my FFXIV self-inserts. A Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te who recently became an adventurer after being inspired by Clio, the Warrior of Light - she joined the fellowship of NOAH in order to try and help them uncover the secrets of the Crystal Tower, only to tragically lose her life at its summit.
This screenshot is somewhat outdated/incorrect, as she wouldn't have light blue face markings and she also wouldn't be an arcanist (I imagine her wielding a quarterstaff in battle, as a reference to Linaria, my DQIX self-insert whom she is based off of - but that's not really a weapon in FFXIV itself, so she's just an unspecified melee fighter at the moment). However, it's currently the only one I have of her to hand, so it'll have to do! =P
..I apologise for ending tonight off on such a sad introduction, but I just wanted to provide some context in case anyone did want to take the time to read the several-full-Discord-messages'-worth-of-words I posted before ^~^ if anyone has any questions then please know that you're always welcome to ask

Commander's Mast - Wondrous Item (Slotless/Equippable)
A magic item for the Commanding Admiral to use, a creature that will be posted later this week.
Tumblr media
Artwork is in-game artwork from Granblue Fantasy, copyright Cygames.
This item is designed to let cavaliers and samurais give their banner to an ally instead of carrying it themselves.  There are no specific rules for how exactly a cavalier is expected to display its banner (unlike the Knight’s Banner magic item, which is pretty specific), so unless the party is very spread out, this item isn’t typically the most useful thing for a player.  It’s primarily designed to make a fight against the Commanding Admiral more interesting by allowing the players to take out his banner more easily.
However, this item does have other situational uses for players if a cavalier/samurai PC is swallowed whole, falls in a pit trap, invisible, using stealth, in an area of darkness, ambushed in its sleep and forced to fight without its gear, gets its gear destroyed by an enemy, or otherwise can’t display its banner for some reason.
Commander's Mast - Wondrous Item
Aura faint enchantment; CL 5th; Slot none (equipped); Price 2200 gp; Weight —
DESCRIPTION
A commander’s mast is actually a set of magic hooks designed to be screwed into a wooden pole, and is designed for creatures with the Banner ability, such as cavaliers and samurai.  When affixed to a polearm with the reach property, or a pole of at least 6 feet in length, the hooks allow the polearm or pole to carry and display a banner appropriate for the Banner ability.  A creature with the Banner ability can attach or remove a banner from the commander’s mast as a move action.  While a banner is displayed in this way, creatures gain the benefits of the Banner ability while within 60 feet of the commander’s mast, instead of while within 60 feet of the creature with the Banner ability.  The banner must be clearly visible.
A creature with the Banner ability cannot display more than one banner at a time - it must remove its banner from the commander’s mast if it wishes to display the banner on itself or its mount.
A banner hung from a commander’s mast is effective when carried by any ally of the creature with the Banner ability.  It can also be planted in the ground, in which case the banner does not need a bearer, but if it is toppled or touched by an enemy, it loses its effectiveness until reclaimed and replanted by allies of the creature with the Banner ability.
Once affixed to a polearm or pole, the commander’s mast cannot be removed without being destroyed.

OC Approval Gift Tag Game
Tagged by @blightbear and @greypetrel to list what gifts would have my ocs give approval à la origins style. Thanks for the tags! I enjoyed reading about your fellas, too c:
For the sake of time (I had three hours of sleep and a full day of travel) I'm just gonna do my canon trio, but I may come back and add more later!
Arianwen Tabris: A particular type of special-occasion chocolate bread
It was what her mother made her for birthdays, but Cyrion didn't know the recipe so she hasn't had it since. I think the little cutscene attached to this would have her taking a bit, visibly savoring it, and then hesitantly breaking off the corner and offering it to the giver. Because it really is the best food in the world, right? You should have some, too.
Maria Hawke: A set of Antivan leather armor intended for mages
Maria complains about wearing robes constantly, so this would really be a gift for everyone! Maria would wear these robes long after she'd found finer ones, for the happiness of wearing a gift from a friend as well as armor she isn't going to trip over. Also, it looks extremely cool, and she'll readily admit to being just a little bit vain about her clothes.
Emmaera Lavellan: A detailed treatise on paintings in Elvhen ruins
She would be so excited she would babble a series of half-sentences about how nice it was that you thought---and of course this is---and wow, did you see the section on paint composition and how it tells us more about what materials were most common to---and did she say thank you? She thinks she did but---goodness, the diagrams are appropriately labelled?
(She'd send a more appreciative note later, or there'd be one of those special conversations where she explains that now there's a cave with hidden ruins you need to go to, but she promises there's something cool at the end. The "something cool" is like. some columns that are in a unique style. Incidentally, there's a bunch of really cool unique weapons scattered around the room, but why would she care about that? Have you seen these carvings?)
Tagging in return (feel free to ignore, as always, especially if you've already done this one): @gaysebastianvael @brother-genitivi @scribbledquillz and anyone who wants to try this out c:

not for this to be the hill i die on or whatever but oh my god, ‘her parents were the catholic monarchs’ is not an argument. what is there to suggest her parents were any more against sin/more pious than arthur’s? catherine would later complain that during fasting periods at the tudor court, you could not receive meat to consume ‘even if you were dying [...] they look upon anyone that eats it as heretics’ , which suggests the early tudor court might have been even more rigorously catholic than her parents by comparison, at least in some respects...

Actually everyone that takes a tubbo with them can have him so many ways. He's a necklace, a hat, he's their son, he's this bracelet they got when they were 12 and decided they really liked, he's an earing, a key chain decoration
maybe the real tubbos were the friends we made along the way…..
