A Dragon Trappers Fate (Part 2)

Eret Son of Eret x Gn! Reader

Summary: you thought you’d only have to see Eret once and never again, that way that weird feeling you got when you looked at him would disappear. Well, turns out you need him again so you an find out where Drago Bludvist is located. No one better to interrogate than a dragon trapper.

Your group of friends, of course excluding Hiccup, flew back in the general direction of Berk. A steady silence hung over all of you as you all had to come to terms with the fact that a war was coming, and a fairly gruesome one at that given the nature of Stoick’s story.

You looked ahead to the woman who naturally led the group, Astrid. You noticed the sour expression she held as she looked out at the landscape before her. Astrid was many things but good at hiding her emotion was not one of them. You lightly gestured your dragon to move up to her, now steadily flying beside her.

“So… you’re not going to listen to him are you?” You asked. She quickly snapped her head towards, surprised by your sudden presence before visibly relaxing a bit.

“Well, what if they get taken? What if Hiccup finds Drago before they can find him?” She asks, turning back to the landscape, very clearly lost in her stressful thoughts.

“Hiccup may be stubborn but so is his father, let's just give them time, don't act too hastily. Besides, it’s Hiccup we’re talking about.” You commented, eventually slightly persuading her to at least relax a slight bit.

“Let’s wait right there, and if they’re not back in thirty minutes, I’m going to look for them.” Astrid stated, guiding Stormfly down to a sizable piece of ice, big enough to hold everyone’s dragons while you all waited.

And so you waited.

And waited.

And… waited.

You watched as Astrid, someone who was usually quite put together, became fidgety and eager to get back out there. There was no doubt she loved that boy, and while you were all worried about his safety, clearly it was hitting her the most.

You almost didn’t understand it.

As far as you were concerned you had only ever experienced a familial kind of love, mainly through your friends and Stoick. He had always served as a sort of father figure over the group. You never really had that connection with anyone like Astrid and Hiccup had, or even the way Ruff, Snotlout and Fishlegs were… you never truly felt that way about anyone.

And as far as you knew, no one felt that way about you.

You couldn’t help but think how nice it must be to be able to find someone that you can not only be vulnerable with but you also want to protect. Good luck finding that in Berk, pretty sure the only Viking okay with seeming vulnerable is Fishlegs, and he gets made fun of for it every time.

It’s a weird thought, wanting to feel loved. Most people relate to the feeling, and strangely enough you felt like you had felt that feeling once before but you couldn’t place where.

You sighed, finally snapping out of your thoughts as you looked back up at Astrid who had just landed after searching the surrounding area for the fourth time in ten minutes.

“I don't like this. They should’ve been back by now.” She says to the group, even though you were almost sure the rest of them were truly too bored to listen.

“Alright then, let's go look for them.” You approved with a nod. Astrid Hofferson of all people did not truly need your approval for anything but you were the one who told her to wait in the first place. Without another word, Astrid took off practically leaving the rest of you behind in her dust.

“Good gods, what does she feed that dragon?” You asked rhetorically. Your dragon was fast but Astrid knew how to get Stormfly to her fastest potential.

“I think she feeds her chicken ‘cause they fly faster.” Tuffnut said which earned a very confused look from you as you turned back to him.

“Chickens can't fly…” You were well aware the twins had their moments of stupidity but it was always like a fresh slap in the face when you realized just how stupid they sounded sometimes.

“Oh yeah… well why do they have wings?” He argued, and honestly you couldn’t really think of a reason to argue back. Chickens are weird.

You shook your head before turning back towards where you could see Astrid a bit of a ways away from you all.

“You’d think she cares more about Hiccup than she does the rest of us.” You joked.

“I know I’d never leave you behind like that.” Snotlout added on, flying beside you to which you responded,

“Spare me.” Before adding distance between you and the short Viking man.

As you continued on, you questioned, how exactly were you meant to find Drago’s army? You had no idea where he could be at this point, Or at any point, you had never seen his army before. That’s when it clicked for you, who else would know where Drago is hiding than the dragon trappers.

Which meant seeing Eret son of Eret yet again.

You knew you weren’t looking forward to this but you’d have to suck it up for Hiccups potential safety.

After some time had passed you could start to see Erets ship in the distance, not in any better shape than it had looked last time. You caught up with Astrid before shouting towards him,

“So… any ideas on how to get him to talk?” You asked, to which Astrid responded with a smirk

“Watch and learn.” She stretched her arms out in front of her, cracking her knuckles as she often did. You waited behind as you watched her quickly dive down and scoop Eret up like it was nothing.

You watched as Stormfly flew back up to your height effortlessly, the man dangling between her claws as if he was nothing more than her latest kill or a scrap of meat. You looked down at the man from before, noticing slight features that you hadn’t really taken into account from before.

As much as you wanted to hate him, you could not deny he was still… very handsome. Oh how you hated admitting that.

You almost felt weak for not being able to control your thoughts or feelings about this Dragon trapper. Maybe you weren’t weak for it, for having emotions is just part of being human, but gods above were you ashamed of them.

The man screamed as he hung onto the dragons foot for dear life.

“What do you want from me?” He shouted desperately, which to be honest, was quite a good look for him. You shook your head at the thought before responding,

“We want you to take us to Drago.”

To that response the man look at you as if you had just sprouted two heads and a dragon tail.

“Help a bunch of dragon riders infiltrate Dragos army? Just kill me now.” He said in a half joking tone, but considering his situation they were definitely not the wisest words to say. Without another thought, Astrid ordered Stormfly to drop Eret which she did in a matter of seconds.

People could say what they wanted about Astrid but no one could deny that she had trained her dragon extremely well. Not like anyone had the balls to make a comment about her anyways.

“Would you like to do the honors?” Astrid asked, turning towards you as she gestured to a still screaming Eret who continued to get closer and closer to the ground.

“With pleasure.” You responded before telling your dragon to go down and fetch him. Coincidentally Eret had just been in the process of caving in, so your timing was impeccable.

Once you had flown back up to the group, Ruffnut was the first to fly towards Eret. She quickly cling to his arm as she begged to take him from you. You only laughed it off, but you couldn’t help but feel… upset about her being so enthusiastic towards him?

Which clearly confused you cause she did nothing wrong.

It felt like it could be described as jealousy but there is no way you’d ever be jealous over a dragon trapper of all people. You merely shook your head of the thoughts before looking down at the man now dangling in the grasp of your dragons claws.

“So Eret, how does it feel to be at the mercy of yet another dragon?” You teased, looking down at the man who simply rolled his eyes at you with a scoff.

“I’d be careful with how you respond, my dragon is now pretty eager to continue playing fetch.” You threatened in a lighthearted manner which didn’t get any verbal response from Eret but he definitely acknowledged the statement with his sudden shift in body language.

“Maybe you should change your profession, dragons seem to love you.” You joked, which finally got Eret to respond.

“And go against Drago Bludvist? No, I value my life, thank you.”

“Okay but say we took Drago out of the equation, would you consider it then?” You asked, genuinely curious in his answer.

“Did you not hear me when I said I’m the ‘finest dragon trapper alive’? I would have that title with or without Drago.” He stated quite arrogantly. He clearly wasn’t trying to impress anyone, just boost his own ego.

“Right well… have you ever actually gotten to know a dragon before?” You couldn’t help but feel like Hiccup with the way you were trying to talk down the situation. Usually Hiccup was the main advocate for switching people to the dragon side, but you couldn’t help but want to try and persuade Eret. Maybe if you could get him to switch sides you’d feel less guilty about your feelings for him. Or maybe there was something deeper that was urging you. Your mind was too muddled to properly discern the true reasoning so you simply just chalked it up to Hiccup rubbing off on you.

“No, and I don’t plan it. How many times do I have to say it, I’m a dragon ‘trapper’ not one of you.” He spat which caused you to scowl slightly.

“Yeah, you’ll eat your words one day.” You stated as if you knew his fate as a fact. You don’t know why but you felt extremely confident in your words.

“Or get eaten, tell me which outcome sounds more plausible?” He asked sarcastically.

So much for trying to win him over. Guess you were really going to have to do the “Hiccup Thing” and just wait to show him somehow.

Little did you know that opportunity would come up a lot sooner than you thought.

What they do when your sick

Dream: He takes care of you when you are sick, he does all he can to help you feel better and be as comfortable as possible. He usually makes you soup or tea, brings you blankets and water, and gives you lots of rest and encouragement.

Sapnap: If you are sick, he would bring you tea at 3 am in the morning, care for you when you're feeling under the weather, offer to make you a hot water bottle, sit with you and watch your favorite movie, and be your personal caregiver in sickness. He would do anything to make you feel better because he loves you and he wants to be there for you in your lowest moments.

George: He takes care of you. He brings you soup and crackers, and he makes sure you're comfy in bed. He'll bring you tissues and medicine and make sure you know you're loved. He'll sit by your side and make sure you never feel alone. He'll make sure you have fresh water and feel safe and comfortable.

Wilbur: When you are sick, he takes care of you with the utmost love and care. He always makes sure you're comfortable and have anything you need, and if you need space or quiet he makes sure to give it to you. He tries to cook your favorite foods, help you rest, and just do whatever he can to make you feel better. He also makes sure to be there for you emotionally and give you love and support. He wants you to be happy and healthy, and he'll do anything to make that happen.

Fundy: He makes sure you are comfortable and feel taken care of. He'll check your temperature and give you medicine, as well as any other care you need. He wants his partner to be happy and well taken care of, and he'll do anything in his power to make sure they are.

Karl: He thinks it's important to be more patient and supportive with you when you're sick. He would do everything he could to help you rest and feel comfortable. He would prepare meals and beverages for you, watch movies, or read books to you so you could relax, and help with any household tasks you are unable to do. He thinks when you love someone, you want to help them however you can and let them know that you'll be there for them through whatever they're going through.

Eret: When you become ill, he steps in as the primary caregiver. he prepares meals, administers medication, provides emotional support, keeps things clean and orderly, and generally acts as a caregiver and personal assistant. Eret makes sure you receive the care you need and that you feel loved and supported.

Foolish: When you are sick, he likes to spoil you with all sorts of comforting activities. He'll bring you hot tea, watch a movie together, and give you a massage. He really just wants you to feel cared for and loved. He's willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and taken care of.

Niki: When her partner is sick, she is your go-to person for support. She makes sure that you are comfortable and have everything you need. She is there to listen when you need it or simply be present in silence. She is your person in every part of your healing journey, always by your side and ready to comfort you at any moment.

Ranboo: Once he finds out that you are sick, he feels it is his responsibility to make sure you stay hydrated and warm. He'll bring you soup and blankets, and he makes sure to ask if you need any medications. He is there to be your comfort during an uncomfortable time. He will be there to listen to anything you need to vent about, and he will do his best to provide you with whatever you need to feel better.

You made sure your daily chores were done early today so you could kick back and relax with a new book you’ve been dying to read, and yet just as you’re settled and about to crack open the book the sound of large footsteps shakes the entirety of your house. You hoped nothing would break from such shaking before the it stops and there’s a minute pause before frantic knocking is heard. With a sigh you place the book into your inventory and get up to see who was there. You barely have a chance to say hello before you’re practically snatched from the doorway and dragged away from your house.

“Whoa! I don���t appreciate the kidnapping! What’s with the rush?” You shout unamused, trying to pull away from their iron grip. They halt their movements and you now get the chance to notice the totem body and shark-y head.

“Sorry! Sorry! I just sorta grabbed you in a panic, but I really really need your help with Eret.” Foolish apologizes.

“My help? What for?” You ask as you both start walking at a much less panicked pace. (similar to Bad, I headcanon that Foolish can shift his size at will)

“Well…” Foolish chuckles nervously, “while I was helping Eret, we were discussing about some new expansions for the historical museum, and we sorta got on topic about that strange… ummm… moss? I think? That’s been appearing around the SMP.”

“Oh no… alright say no more, I get it.” You sigh, rubbing at the bridge of your nose. “But why my help? You know how to take care of children, you have two of them.” You point out.

“Yes, and they’re doing very well,” Foolish smiles proudly. “But no, the reason I need your help is because I can’t find Eret anywhere.”

“YOU LOST THEM!”

“It’s not my fault! I swear! I got distracted when Quackity asked if I was free to return to the casino and…” He trails off feebly. “Please, I really need someone I know for a fact is trustworthy to help.”

“Okay! Look you already dragged me out of the house and we’re basically to the castle so there no harm in helping.” You sigh

“Thank you thank you thank you.” Foolish smiles giddily, you chuckle to yourself at his own childish antics as you continue towards Eret’s castle��

“I’ll start by checking to make sure Eret didn’t somehow get outside in the time I was gone. You could check the throne room, I guess, that’s where I last saw him.”

“Sounds good to me.” With that the two of you split up, you immediately heading for the throne room. Stepping in you take a second to admire the decor, from the fine craftsmanship of the structure itself, to the multicoloured stain glassed windows and of course the throne resting elegantly at the far end of the room. Your gawking comes to a halt when you pick up the sound of shuffling, it was faint but it was there, that’s when you noticed the little head peeking around one of the curtains before darting behind it again. You smirk at the idea popping into your head.

“Now where oh where could Eret be? Maybe he’s by the throne?” You walk over and pretend to look around the throne, you hear a soft giggle. “Nope, not there. Hmmm, maybe she’s on the ceiling?” You have to stop yourself from laughing as you look up. “Darn it, not there either. Where could they be? Oh well, guess I’ll just have to walk away and look somewhere else.” You say this slowly as you walk away from the throne towards the curtains, pausing a moment before pulling them back. “Found you!” A surprised but excited shriek comes from Eret before it quickly turns to laughter.

“Again! Again again!” He claps.

“I don’t know, Foolish had a hard time finding you the first time, that’s why he got me to help.” You sigh, she pouts a little but it doesn’t last long as they start tugging your pants in an attempt to get you to follow him. “Oh? You want me to come with you this time? Hmm… alright, I see no harm in it.” You say this more to yourself then to Eret, nonetheless you follow her to a room full of different clothing.

“Dress!” They bounce on his heels pointing to the array of clothing.

“You wanna play a bit of dress up with me?” You already knew the answer but the eager nod she gives you is that extra confirmation.

You completely lost track of time while modelling the many different outfits in Eret’s closet. From suits to dresses to casual wear, you tried them all chuckling to yourself at how much bigger their own clothing looked on Eret. Now the two of you, dressed to the nines so to speak, were enjoying a lovely little game of tea party, making sure to be “extra proper” by sticking your pinkies out the entire time.

“Shall that be one sugar or two my good friend?” You ask in an exaggerated accent, this earns a small chuckle from Eret as they hold up two fingers. “A splendid choice my good friend.” You’re about to continue your game when the door bursts open, an almost panicked looking Foolish being the culprit. You all stare at each other for what feels like forever. “Right… Foolish, I forgot you were looking for Eret…” You trail off awkwardly before, “you… uhh… you wanna join our tea party?” He looks at you bewildered for a second before calming down.

“…… sure.” Is all he says. You all sit together and continue with your tea party, you and Foolish ending up having a little contest to see who can make the funniest accent.

“My verdict is… you both sound ridiculous.” You pause at the voice, having gotten so wrapped up in your little competition you failed to notice Eret was finally back to normal.

“Eret! Glad you’re yourself again… I guess you’ll be wanting the outfit back.” You say, heading over to change out of the outfit you had been borrowing.

“Actually, you can keep it if you want.” Eret waves off like it’s nothing.

“Really?! But I couldn’t-”

“It’s fine, (y/n), really. I don’t wear that one a lot anyways and it looks good on you. Think of it as a thank you for the help.” Eret encourages.

“Umm, thank you. I promise I’ll take real good care of it.” You pause awkwardly for a second. “Well, I guess I should head home. Good luck with your museum renovations.” You wave to them as you collect the rest of your things and head out.

“Thanks again for the help! And sorry for dragging you out of your home!” Foolish thanks and apologizes, you wave him off as a way to say that it was fine and continue your journey back home.

⤷  Hiccup

-Hiccup would find it so cool but dangerous at the same time. He'd be really proud of you and he'll brag about it to others, saying something like "yeah heh my love actually has a cannibalistic dragon Deathgripper (od other dragon you like), she tamed him, cool hm?"

He'd ask a lot of question and will definitely write them into his notebook. He'd wanna know everything that's possible, most of all he'd want to know how you managed to tame it. He would touch it only if you are near so he's 100% sure that your dragon won't accidently hurt him, because your dragon listens only to you.

⤷  Eret

-Eret would be really surprise and he wouldn't trust your dragon that much. I mean he still has some hunter reflexes so even know when he doesn't hunt them anymore, he's still focused and careful around them, just in case after all they're just animals..

After some time he will get used to it, he would want to hear what your dragon can actually do, how to met it, tame it, all these stuff... maybe he would be interested more in some cool stories/memories of yours with your dragon like hunting with it. He'd also be really proud of you, telling others how cool his girlfriend is.

⤷  Tuffnut

-Tuff would find it epic and awesome and so cool! Like you managed to tame a cannibalistic dragon and now you are dating him?! He'd brag about you to his twin sister or Snotlout all the time, just to make them jealous.

He'd ask a lot of questions like if your dragon ever eat other dragon in front of you, if it does it often etc... but he'd never go and pet your dragon, never! When is Ruff being a little more annoying then usual, he'll tell her something like "you know what, i will tell y/n to come over with y/d/n (your dragons name), i bet it's hungry!" and this will shut her up most of the time.

⤷  Snotlout

-Snoutlout would brag about it the most, like really! Mostly to Hiccup or Fishlegs telling them how you're cooler then them and much tougher and badass. From the start he'll be confident saying stuff like he can tame dragon like this, that he himself has a pretty dangerous dragon, but soon as he hears your dragons roar, he's gone.

At night, when no ones listening, he whispers into your ear that he's proud of you and that you are strong and all these stuff just because you managed to tame your "special" dragon.

⤷  Grimmel

-Well Grimmel has himself cannibalistic dragons but he still holds big respect for you, because he control his dragons with venom, you somehow managed to tame it with your bare hands! He was thinking about it whole night when you first told him.

I believe he'd be more careful around your dragon because he can't control him, it's "wild" animal yk, so he's more careful because he knows what they can do.

-Astrid would have a huge respect for you, because of that. She'd also ask a lot of questions and she would want to introduce your dragon to hers because Stormfly has her venomous thorns so Astrid thinks it will be alright.

She will often stare at you from a certain distance when you interact with your dragon, she admires you. She always say that you and your dragon are like beauty and the beast. Deep inside she thinks that you are much better then her, much stronger and cooler, but she'd never say that.

-Ruff's reaction would be pretty similar to her twin brother's. She'd ask a lot of questions and be really really curious, with confidence until she sees your dragon, then all of the sudden she's hugging you from behind.

She admires you a lot, she finds you really really strong and badass because of it. And when she cannot sleep or when she's bored she will ask you to tell her the story how you tamed your dragon over and over again until she falls asleep, it's so cool that it's like a fairy tail to her, almost unreal.

-Valka lived with dragons most of her life so she knows everything but when you told her that you have a cannibalistic dragon (probably deathgripper) she was surprised and curious.

She'd want to meet him and try to "tame" it again, she knows dragon body language so if she notice that she's making your dragon uncomfortable, she'll stop. But be prepared for tons of questions even more then Hiccup would ask. She's really proud of you and really glad that she has such a strong partner.

A Dragon Trappers Fate (Part 1)

Summary: You’re forced to tag along on the quest to find Hiccup after he went off, determined to find Drago. While you there you happen to stumble across a certain dragon trapper. You feel… weird when you look at him. Why?

Dragon trappers.

Gods you hated them.

You didn’t appreciate them always cutting your rides short, forcing you to turn back to escape the shots at your dragon.

You tried to avoid them in general and you were successful for the most part. It wasn’t until Hiccup had decided to disobey his father and fly out of the dragon stable on a quest for specific dragon trappers, did you actually have to deal with them again. You didn’t want to get involved but once Stoick and the rest of your friends agreed to go after him, you figured you’d have to go with them.

You rolled your eyes, listening to Stoick grumble about how stubborn his son was,

“Like you’re any different…” You mumbled back, luckily it went unheard by the very intimidating man as you rested your head atop of your dragons. It had been at least half an hour and there was no sign of them, you were getting bored to say the least.

“Ugh, this is taking forever, can we just go back home?” You heard Ruffnut groan. You couldn’t help but agree with her as you stared at the endless lengths of billowing waves. You looked out at the horizon with a small sense of curiosity, wondering if you’d ever live to see the end of the world one day.

“Yeah, maybe we should just turn back.” Fishlegs agreed, you knew he was simply just saying that to agree with Ruffnut. For some reason he and Snotlout were competing for Ruff’s love. To be honest you were secretly rooting for Fishlegs.

When Snotlout wasn’t busy fighting for Ruffnuts attention, he was trying to fight for yours, which like almost every other person on Berk you were not interested in the slightest.

You could tell he was looking over to you trying to gauge your reaction to all of this but your face remained unchanged. Sure you were worried about the well-being of your friends but you were also incredibly bored so…

“I think I should just take the lead and find them.” Snotlout butted in, flying next to you as he puffed out his chest.

“Of course I’m the most qualified for the job with my-“ He continued only for him to be silenced by a quick gesture from Stoick.

“There.” He said sternly, pointing to a boat just a bit of a ways away from you all. Thank the gods, you thought this search would never end.

“I got this.” Snotlout said in a very pompous manner, clearly trying to show off. You simply rolled your eyes in return as he dove down to fetch Hiccup. Sure it seemed effortless but with the way Snotlout and his dragon were, that was not a common effect they’d seem to have.

As you all flew around, the trappers below continued to shoot nets, trying their best to take you down. You successfully dodged them before coming up to Ruff and Tuff. You noticed Ruffnut was clearly occupied by something, once you followed her gaze you saw who she was looking at.

And you could not blame her one bit.

The man she was staring at was quite handsome and well built… for a dragon trapper that is. He has some markings on his chin and his hair was pulled back into a low ponytail. He was attractive to say the least. You were distracted for only a second before noticing a net heading straight for the three of you,

“Ruffnut look out!” You shouted, expecting her to move out of the way but she opened up like she was going to welcome it with open arms. You watched as she just… let herself get trapped.

Luckily it didn’t affect the quality of their flying since the dragon's wings were overall unaffected. You flew over to Tuffnuts side as he watched his sister's reactions with disgust.

“She’s got it bad.” You teased which caused Tuffnut to turn you with a scowl,

“That’s disgusting. Usually I like disgusting things, but not that.” He remarked. You laughed before noticing that Hiccup had gotten loose from Hookfangs grip and had flown back down to the ship.

You rolled your eyes yet again. Man this guy just does not give up.

You managed to land just before Hiccup did and looked over to the head dragon trapper with curiosity. You said nothing though before turning to Hiccup.

“What are you guys doing here?” He asked as the rest landed on the ship after him. Gobber had landed just after him and had successfully managed to trap Eret just under his dragon. You listened to the conversation but it seemed to be more of a father and son thing.

You were close with Hiccup but not close enough to hear in great detail what goes on between him and his father. If anything you hung around Astrid most of the time, your dragons got along and so do you.

As they continued to talk you couldn’t help but look over at Eret who was now trapped underneath Grumpy, Gobbers dragon. You couldn’t help but laugh at the stupidity of the situation as you hopped off your dragon and walked over to him.

His head rested on one of his hands as the other tapped the floor beneath him relentlessly, that was until he noticed you. You crouched in front of him, a teasing smile very noticeably plastered on your face.

“So Eret… huh?” You asked which he scoffed.

“My name, Is Eret son of Eret. I am the finest dragon trapper alive!” He proclaimed, you nodded thinking quietly to yourself,

“He's not lying when he calls himself the finest…”

You were so caught up you almost forgot he was a dragon trapper. Someone who has hunted down, captured and likely killed possibly hundreds of those beautiful creatures, you thought the act to be unforgivable. He also claimed to work under Drago Bludvist which, according to Stoick's story, was not a man you’d want to mess with. And yet here you are looking at this man before you, and instead of disgust or anger… all you feel is curiosity as you take in his features.

The perks of pretty privilege you suppose.

It was an almost weird… surreal feeling you got when you stared at him. It almost felt like déjà vu of some kind, or just like you were meant to meet him? It was strange and you quickly brushed off the feeling.

“What kind of stupid idea is that? Fated to meet, Ha!” You thought to yourself before looking back at the man before you.

You could see the disgust on his face falter for just a second, just as he had noticed the same for you. That was before you had cleared your throat, taking attention away from the fact you were both just… silently staring at each other.

The unprompted staring contest only lasted for a few seconds in reality, but in your thoughts it felt much longer than it should’ve been.

“Well Eret, I'm sure you feel all high and mighty while being squished by that two thousand pound dragon.” You teased, standing back up at your full height so you were no longer even in the range of his eyes level. His ever so slightly softened gaze had once again hardened with anger as he shouted,

“Oh yeah, continue your mockery, it won’t mean anything once Drago has all your dragons!”

Which caught Gobbers attention who told Grump to get up then weigh himself right back down on Eret.

You laughed a bit at this as you walked back over to your dragon, unknowingly being watched by the man you had just talked to. Granted his stare was purely made up of confusion and nothing more but he was staring nonetheless.

“No, head back to Berk, I’ve had enough mutiny for one day!” Stoick ordered, hopping on SkullCrusher.

“Well, I suppose it’s time for us to go, have fun doing… whatever that is.” You teased again, watching as Eret struggled to stand up after finally being released from the weight of the dragon.

Eret stared at you, anger and confusion riddled his face, clearly offended that you would even think to talk to him in such a way. After all he is the finest dragon trapper alive, everyone should be treating him with respect! That’s what he thought anyway.

While he stared at you he failed to notice a very interested Ruffnut make her way over to him and try and plant a kiss on his face.

You watched as he uncomfortably tried to dodge it and for some reason you felt… weird about it. You couldn’t tell if you exactly felt bad for him or not but regardless you called out,

“Come on Ruffnut!”

You don’t know why you called her away from him, you had no real reason to. So what if he’s uncomfortable, he’s a dragon trapper, he doesn’t deserve comfortability after what he had done to all those dragons right?

It’s not like you would have to see him again anyways.

Or so you thought.
