Notes: I've been rewatching and rereading Ao Ashi and there are still little to no fanfics about this series which I don't understand bc it's so good?😭 This is for all the Yoshitsune fans out there if there are even any why are there no yoshitsune fics i'm crying pls

How you got together:

• Yoshitsune and you started off as friends, became best friends, and eventually you started to develop romantic feelings for him

• You didn't want to hide your emotions and confessed to him. You also told him that it's okay for him to reject you because he had to focus on his football career. A relationship would only get in his way

• But the only thing he said in answer to this was "Eh, why?" And he genuinely looked so confused😭

• "I'm a genius. I can handle being in a relationship and focusing on my career simultaneously. Isn't this what we do all the time? Changing the relationship status with you won't change that."

More headcanons:

• Kissing Yoshitsune's cheek and he instantly gets all giddy and asks for more, while doing his infamous silly kissy-face. He'll whine if you don't give him more and will plan to embarrass you with something for his revenge. So don't be stubborn and just kiss him lol

• Hugs. Long hugs. Super long hugs. Hugs that will suffocate you-

• Watching soccer together in matching PJs<3 He'll make comments on everything that happens (even if you're knowledgeable about football) to make sure you understand what's happening. He's planning to turn you into a football fan and more importantly into an Esperion fan

• Kenta is always snacking. Alwaysssss. And he looks so adorable. Your gallery is full of photos of your bf stuffing his face.

• That being said, it wouldn't be odd if you caught him multiple times a week loitering in the kitchen in the middle of the night (this is actually canon hehe)

• If he has some food stains left near his lips you kiss them off like it's a totally normal thing to do-

• You cheer him on during his practice when you have time. And he's super happy every time you show up! He'll wave back with a dopey smile when he notices you. 'I hoped that you would come today and here you are...'

• He always grabs your hands to play with them and compare them with his huge ones. Even if you have long fingers, his are longer. "Why're your fingers so short? So cuteee!"

AO ASHI REQUEST??!?!? WRAAAAH I'm so happy you enjoyed it!! I've been wanting to write something for my favorite boy. (This is a continuation of my first fic about him. However, it can be read as a stand-alone.)

The soft footsteps to his dorm fill the silence around you. It's nothing like the quiet that accompanies you most of the time, Akutsu brings peacefulness like no other, serenity in a way you can't bring to yourself. The sun hangs above as a witness of your unbeknownst state.

You can't help but look at your friend. (You would have called him a forbidden fruit with the most enticing scent to lure you in for a bite. However, Akutsu isn't deserving of a dehumanizing title, and daring to think of such a thing left a heavy feeling in your gut, a notion that slowly pulls at your intestines as you walk.)

You've long accepted the fact that the love you hold for him is crossing a delicate line that is friendship, an unspoken rule that you grabbed at the sides and torn in half without a second thought.

You can't help but think of how good the darker colors suit him. Maybe it's the broad shoulders or the way his physic filled Esperion's uniform in just a year due to his dedication, or the height that keeps reaching the skies.

Your pupils fall against his side profile that's a bit angled because you seem to unconsciously fall behind him during walks, though even now you can fill in the blanks that your eyes aren't able to spot. The eyebrows were fixed in a line, with the corner of his rough lips pointing down. The light seems to hit them just right. Unsurprisingly, the flutter in your stomach returns sooner this time. Even if you can tell he isn't looking back, not even budging at your flushed state, your pupils shift toward the road once more, the embarrassment constructing a mini sun in your chest, the warmth has never felt this uncomfortable.

The want is overwhelming. Incredible urge to finally reveal it all and destroy what you guys have is hard to contain. The thoughts have a sharp sting of bravery that you quickly neutralize. No... you couldn't do anything you were thinking of, not now. In the future?

Maybe.

You hope he doesn't look back. It would be embarrassing to be seen with such a red face.

You are focusing on nothing particular, so your eyes see no motion, only the blur of colors that soon you'll forget. It's a wonder how you don't trip on something.

The sensation that snaps your attention away from the moment inside your mind is a sudden touch on the back of your hand. It causes your tongue to remain frozen as you feel his knuckles brush against yours, over and over, until your face turns away from the chaste sight. With every second that Akutsu does not pull away and lets the trajectory of touch continue as is, the feeling of your heart skipping a beat in your throat intensifies. The corner of your lip twitches upwards.

You should be familiar with it by now.

Often, unintentional eye contact is initiated, though you never seem used to the skin interactions. His steps are slowing down, and it makes your eyes levitate up toward the side of his head, awaiting something that will never be addressed by both of you.

His fingers move unpredictably to your wrist, trying themselves around the skin before tugging it a bit forward, thus taking your body with it. You would have dwelled on the physical interaction if he hadn't coaxed you.

``What's taking you so long to take a step huh?``

It was an empty hook awaiting you to bite onto it, however arguing isn't your strong suit.

``You're just a fast walker.`` And with that, the silence falls once more.

There's a pleasant burn around your wrist, and the honey-coated fingers that wrap around the skin there attract metaphorical butterflies around you, you dare not look down, the warmth of his hand is too much to handle, yet you don't waver in the face of the gesture, even if it sticks around longer than necessary and causes your heartbeat to speed up.

Akutsu isn't one to forget and you're just a girl who barely had her hand inside a boy's palm.

(The flame of hope is ignited.)

Perhaps his acknowledgment is not erased from his mind, perhaps this was all intentional.

but you're like that as well. The only difference is that you tend to isolate yourself when you're mad. But you've still said your fair share of insults to your brother

when he joined Tokyo Esperion, Akutsu took you along because there's no way in hell he'd leave you alone with your mother

over time, Akutsu learns to not let his emotions out on you (instead, he does it on others) and becomes extremely protective over you

he hates it when others tease him about being an overprotective older brother, because he has enough reasons why he needs to prevent any harm from happening to you

5. Do you respond to comments?

I do! Sometimes it can take a long time because most of the time between university, work, language courses, immigrant problems, care for my flat and pets I'm partially dead, but I'll always answer. Though sometimes when I'm too tired I ignore really short ones (from five or so words) because I don't know what can I answer for that.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

pyrrhic victory (kaisagi). I still feel sorry for Isagi when I think about it. It's kinda OOC because of the circumstances I build there, but I still think that that's a quite possible acting for Isagi in that situation. He's just seventeen, after all.

As for kainess, then directly it's house of cards, and indirectly float: major spoiler below, skip italics block if you plan to read 'float'.

Because while Ness believes that "rules" (Ness is useful = Kaiser is not leaving him) which he and Kaiser have will grant him control… actually they mean nothing. The whole scene with spirits (when Kaiser brags about them foolishly thinking that he'll follow long-gone rules about human and gods) along with the loneliness theme is a huge metaphor for that. Kaiser will destroy everything on his path if he'd want to, just of pure boredom, and no rules will ever stop him. And, of course, one day this "everything" will include Ness.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

"sigh" probably Birds and Wings. I'm still occasionally thinking about orphaning it, but I won't do it since my friend will behead me in instant if I'll do that haha In my defense at that time it still wasn't clear how bad are kainess problems - they looked like two silly plushes, so Kaiser is much softer there, and Ness is in his mentally-stable era. Like, Kaiser still uses Isagi a bit, but also helps him a lot of course. This is explained by the injury that put his career under the threat and after which Kaiser is kind of reevaluating his life a bit, but of course now I realise it doesn't work that way with him haha. It's pure romance, basically. I still feel my teeth getting rotten when I think about the epilogue. As you may see, I don't really like it.

Through this was the fic because of which I've met one of the best persons in my life, so of course I'm also quite grateful to it!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

From myself lol Through I've never got anything bad from my commenters, everyone is always so sweet and nice.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I try to avoid it as much as I can haha. Don't like to write it. Through actually there's a lot of feelings and relationship aspects which can be shown through the sex, so it's kind of sad - I'd liked to be better with that. If I write then I try to finish it as fast as possible haha so usually they're rated M and have a really non-graphic smut. Sometimes that really affects atmosphere of the writing (in bad way), so for example I think it's visible in charity project (kaisagi), which just can't be written without a smut scene

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Nope, and not that I want to - maybe I did when I was younger, but I almost don't remember that time. Though I've mentioned Esperion from Ao Ashi in Birds and Wings!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope, at least I don't know about that.

12. What's the longest you've ever spent working on one fic? And the shortest?

Longest - it's really hard to tell, since there are a lot of fics which I write quite fast but I think for months about the idea, settings and thoughts I want to show. Maybe it was Pilgrims (kainessagi), took so long for both research and writing. I've rewritten it multiple times, and at some point I had 12k words in my cut-out document and 2k in final one.

Shortest - I don't know, probably cyclicity (kainess) or summer in your eyes (tabiori). I wrote both of them in span of 3-4 hours. But again, it also involved a lot of thinking before haha

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope, never. This may be interesting but it involves too high level of trust and organization between writers to do that

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Oikage once and forever.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have so much of them. I think "electrical dreams" for academic rivals kaisagi without existence of Blue Lock - I've been thinking about it since March or April. Isagi gets in German university in the last attempt to continue playing football, and Kaiser have lost both football and Ness because of his own overconfidence. They meet, but for both of them this moment is almost the worst in which they could have. Also there are awesome background tabiori. But it includes so much smut (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) And drama haha I've started it multiple times, but it just doesn't sounds right. Not sure if I'd be able to write it the way I want.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Oh… Not a good question to answer for me with all of my self-esteem issues haha But if I'd say about myself, most of all I love how I'm determining the central theme of the work and then build the whole story around it. I have few works where I allowed myself to be silly or simply writing angst of course haha, but mostly I take this part of writing really seriously, especially in the long works. The central point of my writings usually is absolute acceptance, and when I write it this way I really start to feel some hope towards myself as well.

For example, Kurana (Snuffy & Lorenzo if they met a few times before) is about how you never may know how your impulse act of kindness towards less-fortunate can affect one's life. How you can give someone hope and will to live by simply being a human. Birds and Wings are about how a single person, who finally believes in you can change your life in an instant, and how much of hope and self-esteem this can grant. How all of us are becoming better near the person who trusts us. And Pilgrims are about total acceptance of yourself, including all the bad and good and gray parts. That in the world so huge sooner or later of course you'll meet someone who'll understand you as no one else does, even if their experience is slightly different. That even in a world where you're alone one day you won't be.

Also my planning skills! I always write a plan before starting a long work, even with small one sometimes. Sometimes it changes in the process of writing, of course, but it's still nice to have a base like that. And I also write down there parts of dialog or small acts which I want to add. This can take weeks or months sometimes, but in result works becomes better than it may have been and much fuller.

And maybe the fact that I can force myself to write even if I don't want too or too tired, because else I won't write a single word in months :D

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Oh, I can rumble a lot about it haha. Sorry if it sounds kind of pathetic. But in short, I think it's either a weak English or the fact that in the end there's almost nothing which can be said about my works. I see that works with the same or lesser amount of kudos get 2-3 times more comments, and of course I'm jealous a bit of it because of my perfectionism, but most of all I'd just like to know why my works don't create similar wish to share the thoughts which appeared throughout the reading. What do they lack, what should I improve - I'd like to know that to become better. Maybe I'd like for a beta reader to read and criticize some of my works so I'd know where to dig, but again this requires a high level of trust.

I also think that characterization variety is my weak point - I'd say I have canon-like understandings of them, of course, which is shown for example in charity project or sacrifice (kainess), but I write a lot about same characters. And it will quickly get boring if I'd explore them from the same side. So my works often have entirely different characterizations, which especially visible with my kainess fics.

And the fact that I'm always trying to jump over my head in everything, and sometimes this badly affects the resulting work.

Also probably the fact that I don't read now as much as I did when I was younger, and of course this limits me in my writings. But usually I'm too tired to process normal literature. Through nevertheless I've almost finished Hesse's Steppenwolf and "The Orange Balloon Dog" of Don Thompson (through it's about art). Hope I'd had more time at the break between semesters.

I'm also almost unable to write something short just for fun (because I want to ✨show✨ something, but usually I don't have much to lol), and this really limits me. I have ~120 ideas in my drafts, but I would never write them because I know they will turn out too empty for my taste, and I'll dislike it the way I dislike some of my both posted and unposted works. Also it's hard for me to write works with more than 30k words, since I'm too laconic and can't make myself to add more scenes when I criticize myself that its 'unneeded' - even if it's purpose is to show development of characters relationships. The fact that I prefer to finish work first and only then publish it chapter by chapter because I'll afraid than else I would abandon it and disappoint someone just adds to it. Too short for maxi fics, too long for drabbles, the drama of my life.

But in the end of the day my main reader is me, and most of time I'm satisfied with my works! Of course there's a directions in which I want to evolve, but still the way I write now is the style I've always adored in other's authors works while I grew.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I know only two languages aside of the English (and basics of Czech and French which I've almost forgotten), and they can't be used in bllk fics. Once I tried to add something like that in German (when my friend who knows it a bit helped me) to Kaleidoscope, but this was a mistake haha

Through I know plenty of programming languages 🫡 One day I'll write Sae analyzing his famous statistics data in R and it will be the end for y'all.

Oh, I don't remember, this was so long ago. Probably Once Upon a Time or BSD.

20. Favourite fic you've written?

sun compression for sure - it gives me so much hope when I think about it. Love this feeling of soft calm wind filled with the sun after the storm - the feeling of serenity, if you get me. The feeling of recovering and starting a new life, leaving all the bad behind, finally looking into the future with hope. Still can't believe I've written something this beautiful. And I really love setting of Baden and kaisagi which I've written there.

Favorite Character: Sawamura Eijun

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: Act II, Episode 15: My Role (lost count of the number of times I've watched this episode tbh)

Character I Think is Underrated: Kariba Wataru (Kariba is the most dedicated catcher to Sawamura when he's suffering from yips. I even made a post for him because he's so underrated.)

Character I Think is Overrated: Miyuki Kazuya??? (Don't get me wrong, I love this character too but there are times when I hate him. lol.)

Favorite Ship/Pairing: I don't have ships for this series but I love the MuraMura battery. I also made lots of posts for this battery. I love how Okumura is so dedicated to Sawamura. There's a balance between the two where both look up to each other's strengths.

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: The main character is such an inspiration. I've been thinking that the author might hate his own main character (because of all the shit he put him through XD), but I guess this just added to the readers loving this character more.

ANIMANGA: Code Geass

Favorite Character: Lelouch

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: the ending (the most beautiful ending I've ever watched)

Character I Think is Underrated: Shirley Fenette (she could've done more for Lelouch had she been alive until the end)

Character I Think is Overrated: can't think of anyone honestly, maybe because it's been a while since I've watched this (literally more than a decade now XD)

Favorite Ship/Pairing: Lelouch and CC are a good combo, as a pair and not really a ship

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: I love how the series ended. Like everything made perfect sense after you've finished watching it. There are a lot of series that are so good but fail to deliver at the end, leaving the watchers/readers not very satisfied. This, however, despite how the ending went is absolutely perfect. Best ending ever imo.

ANIMANGA: Ao Ashi

Favorite Character: Aoi Ashito (curly hair, crazy, inspirational, kind, why wouldn't he be my favorite?? XD), I also love the coach but I got angry at him at some point in one of the manga arcs lol

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: I really love the Esperion vs Aomori Seiran Arc (manga only) and if we're talking about anime, it would be Episode 14: It's Just Soccer (the scene between Hana and Ashito). Since then, I started shipping those two. XD

Character I Think is Underrated: I can't think of anyone, I think the author wrote the characters really well (not just the main character and that's what I love about this series).

Character I Think is Overrated: same answer for underrated

Favorite Ship/Pairing: Ashito x Hana (one of my favourite OTPs), I usually don't ship characters in sports animanga but their relationship is just so beautiful that it actually contributes to the development of the main character

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: This is one of the sports anime that includes family as a big part of the story. And it was done so beautifully. Not only that, there's the added romance that's not annoying but instead would contribute greatly to the main character's improvement.

ANIMANGA: Sousou no Frieren

Favorite Character: I don't have a favorite, I love everyone (Frieren and her former and latter companions)

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: (manga only) Golden Land Arc and Goddess's Monument Arc, I would really love for these two arcs to be animated, as for the anime, that would be Episode 10: A Powerful Mage

Character I Think is Underrated: none

Character I Think is Overrated: none (the characters in this series are well written IMO)

Favorite Ship/Pairing: Frieren & Himmel, Fern & Stark (doesn't have to be romantic, I just love their antics when they're together)

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: I love how the past experiences of Frieren influence her current adventure. Her character development is slow but steady and I love how her actions are briefly explained through the past that she would remember each time.

My Year of the OTP 2023 contribution for the prompt : sick fic.

I’m sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language. I hope you like it.

Summary : Ashito was sitting on a chair next to Hana's bed, she was sleeping soundly. He put his hand over Hana's and squeezed it. When he had seen her unconscious, he had never been so scared. For the first time in his life, football was no longer important. All that mattered was that Hana was okay.

Ashito passed the ball to Otomo, who sent it back. The Esperion club welcomed another club, it was a decisive game which would decide which of the two clubs would participate in the regional championship. The game would start in a few minutes and Ashito was eager to play. He felt like he could not keep still. Otomo, on the other hand, was stressed like before every game. But he knew that when the whistle sounded, Otomo's behaviour would change and he would enjoy every minute of the game.

To change his mind, Ashito had asked him to pass. It seemed to work and Otomo was less stressed. He stopped the ball and looked away. He pointed to the bleachers and told Ashito to look at it. A huge smile lit up his face. Hana was there. She had never missed one of his games. She had always believed in him. And after declaring herself his number one fan, he felt stronger and felt like he played better when she was around. He waved at her and she waved back.

“I'll be right back” he told Otomo.

“You're so lucky to have your girlfriend coming to see you at every game,” Otomo sighed. “I would like to be in your shoes.”

Ashito blushed.

“She's not my girlfriend.”

Otomo couldn't help laughing.

“If you say so.”

Ashito blushed even more, but he did not answer. He ran towards Hana and frowned when he saw her face. She looked tired and her eyes and nose were red. He heard her cough lightly.

“Is everything alright ?” He asked her.

Hana nodded and smiled. Ashito saw that it was a forced smile.

“I'm just a little sick. But it's nothing serious.”

“If you felt ill, you shouldn't have come.”

She shook her head.

“It's an important match to be qualifying. I wanted to encourage the team.”

She looked away and her cheeks turned red.

“I wanted to encourage you.”

Ashito blushed. Like every time Hana said this kind of thing to him, he felt a sweet warmth. He was happy. But now was not the time to think about that. He had to focus on the game. He looked at her seriously. Even if she said she was fine, he was worried about her.

“If you don’t feel well, you go home and rest.”

Hana sighed and rolled her eyes.

“Hana.”

“All right. Now get back on the field, the game will start soon.”

Ashito looked at her one last time and ran towards the players of his team who had gathered around their coach. He smiled when he heard her encouragement. After Fukuda's last recommendations, the players took their places on the field and the referee whistled the start of the game.

At the end of the eighteenth minute, the Esperion team scored a goal. If they kept on this way, they would qualify, Ashito thought. He heard a hubbub coming from the bleachers. It had nothing to do with encouragement. He quickly looked at the bleachers, out of curiosity. His heart missed a beat when he saw Anri kneeling and Hana lying on the ground. Without thinking about what he was doing, he rushed to the bleachers.

“Hana !” He shouted.

He did not care that he was in the middle of a game, all that mattered at that moment was Hana. He knelt beside her.

“She... She passed out all of a sudden,” Anri said.

Ashito looked up at her and he saw the concern in her eyes. He touched Hana's forehead. She had a fever. Why had not she listened to him ? Why had she insisted so much that she passed out ? He stood up and took her in his arms.

“I'm taking her to the sick room,” he informed Anri.

She nodded and Ashito rushed to the sick room.

Ashito was sitting on a chair next to Hana's bed, she was sleeping soundly. She had gotten some color back in her cheeks. The nurse gave her medicine to get down the temperature and told Ashito that she would be fine soon. He was reassured. He put his hand over Hana's and squeezed it. When he had seen her unconscious, he had never been so scared. For the first time in his life, football was no longer important. All that mattered was that Hana was okay.

He looked out the window and thought that the game must be over. Someone knocked on the door and opened it. Ashito quickly let go of Hana's hand when he saw Fukuda enter.

“How is she ?” He asked as he approached the bed.

“The nurse gave her some medicine, she should be fine.”

Fukuda affectionately stroked his sister's hair.

“You gave us a good fright.”

He looked at Ashito.

“The team is qualified. We won 3 to 1.”

Ashito smiled. At least his absence had not penalized the team. Fukuda walked to the door and put his hand on the handle.

“You’re leaving ?” Ashito asked.

Fukuda nodded and smiled at him.

“I know I'm leaving Hana in good hands.”

He left the sick room. Ashito blushed. It was not his coach who had just spoken to him, but Hana's big brother. He saw her move. He turned his attention to her and he saw her open her eyes.

“Ashito. What has happened ?”

“You fainted, you're in the sick room.”

“I'm sorry for worrying you. And the game ?”

Ashito smiled slightly. He did not need to tell her he had not played to stay with her. He did not want her to feel guilty.

“We won.”

Hana smiled, reassured.

“Good. I'm happy for you.”

She slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep. He took her hand again and stroked it with his thumb. He would stay with her a little longer to be sure she was okay.

Four days had passed. Hana felt much better and she had back to classes. Strangely, Ashito did not want to talk about the qualifying match and when she talked about it with other team members, they changed the subject. Other than her fainting fit, had anything happened during the game ?

Hana was leaning against the high school hallway wall, waiting for Anri to get out of class. She called out to her when she saw her come out of the classroom and approached her.

“What happened during the game ?” Hana asked.

Anri opened her eyes wide.

“You don’t know ?”

“Ashito didn’t want to tell me and when I ask the others, they change the subject.”

Anri looked down.

“If Ashito doesn't want to tell you about it, it's not for me to tell you.”

“Please. I know you won't lie to me.”

Anri bit her lower lip and looked up at Hana. She did not know what she should do. But she knew that the girl in front of her would not give up and that she would do anything to find out what happened.

“Ashito left the game to stay with you. The team won, but without him. Maybe he didn't tell you about it so you wouldn't feel guilty.”

Hana felt like her breath was taken away. He had abandoned the game because of her. Why ? Why had he done this when football was his whole life ? She had to talk to him. She ran out and did not hear Anri calling her. All she thought about was to find Ashito. It was lunch break and she knew he liked to have lunch on the rooftop. She ran up the stairs and thought she had never run so fast. She was out of breath, but she did not care.

She opened the door that led to the rooftop and saw him having lunch with Tachibana, Togashi and Otomo. The closer she got to him, the more anger she felt. He had hidden from her that he had not taken part in the game. She did not need him to protect her. Football was important. He had made sacrifices to come to Tokyo and to be able to turn professional. He had to focus on that goal.

She moved behind Ashito, who was sitting on the floor with his friends. She put her hands on her hips and looked at him angrily. Ashito shivered, as if he had felt her gaze and he slowly turned towards her.

“We'll leave you,” Togashi said.

He and Tachibana stood up quickly. He grabbed Otomo by the collar of his jacket to force him to stand up and they left. Ashito looked at them, begging them not to leave him alone with Hana who was angry with him.

“Why did you do that ?”

He jumped when he heard the tone of her voice. He stood up and looked at her.

“You know about the game.”

“You shouldn't have stayed with me. It was an important match.”

“You are important too.”

Hana opened her eyes wide. He told her that calmly, as if it was the most obvious thing.

“I couldn't have played knowing you weren't okay. It was stronger than me. I had to be with you. It's true that football is important, but so are you. So I don't regret missing the game.”

Ashito suddenly blushed, realizing what he had just said. Hana put her hand on her chest. Her heart was pounding so hard she thought it was going to explode. She came up to him and gently put her lips on his. It was only a kiss that barely lasted a second, yet Ashito felt his whole body tremble. Even playing football had never made him feel that way. Hana pulled away from him. Her cheeks were just as red as his and she smiled shyly at him.

“Win the next game.”

She ran away before Ashito had time to react. Why did she always have to run away at times like this. But he could not help smiling. It was different from the last time she had kissed his forehead. He promised himself to win the next game for her.

WHO IS ASHITO AND SHUN'S FATHER?

Answer:

No one knows. But it is not Fukuda. That's for sure.

Until now, (volume 30), the author didn't mentioned him once. Maybe he's not planning on writing him, but knowing Kobayashi sensei, I wouldn't be surprised if he's gonna give us another bomb of an info in the future.

Here are some theories regarding Ashito and Shun's father

Maybe their father is already dead, and the author is not planning on writing him anymore because it's not really important. Afterall, sports series doesn't normally include character's backstories or families.

But we all know Ao Ashi is different. The author cherishes family and cares about character's backstories and family backgrounds especially for the main character Ashito Aoi, and he's not the type to leave something unanswered. So it's intriguing how he's not showing nor mentioning him at all.

Maybe the author has another surprise in his sleeve?

And that results to another theory.

This one is what I really like in all the theory: Ashito and Shun's father is a former football player or an experienced football player.

Noriko, their mother, doesn't know anything about football, nor interested in football. But surprisingly, Shun and Ashito are both very talented and passionate in football since they were young. So maybe they inherited these characteristics from their father. I'm also guessing, Ashito's bird's eye view ability and Shun's left foot is somewhat related to the existence of their father.

But unfortunately, maybe he left when Ashito was born (Shun is 1 year older than Ashito) to pursue his professional career in football. Maybe that's also why Noriko is very hesitant to let Ashito go to Esperion and play professionally because she feel like football is stealing one of her love ones again. She feel like Ashito is going to choose football and forgot about her later on like what their father did.

What we don't know though if their father is alive or not. And we don't know if Noriko and their father is in good terms or not. We don't know if they really broke up, or just lost contact to each other.

But seriously, I want him alive. I want a family reunion. Just imagine Ashito's father being also a very talented football player and showing up... isn't that awesome! I really hope the author wrote it like this.

I'm hoping!

BUT THESE ARE ALL JUST THEORIES

Maybe were just overthinking things. Maybe it's not that complicated. Maybe their father is just a simple man.

We're not sure, nobody knows what's gonna happen in the future. Only the author can decide about that.

But from the fact that Shun and Noriko have come this far in the story, dead or alive, I'm sure that their father's existence is also definitely meaningful.
