Do you find it to be easier to believe the compliments now a days? The reason I ask is due to my own insecurities. At a certain point, no matter how many times my poly partners' rain compliments onto me, either myself or my past makes me feel absolutely horrid. Learn The How Vs The Why In Hoodoo or Any Practice?

When thinking if a practice or religion or even what's traditional you should understand the How and the Why.

For someone like me when I post I try to teach y'all the why. What I mean by why something works the way it does, supposed to just teaching the how. Because any one of us can read a book, go on social media or a site and learn a working and then go on there own platform and teach you How to do spell.

But only a person of this type of practice that has been trained properly can explain to you the Why. Why we do the things we do and have it makes since so you can understand it.

Let me give you an example, Glitter. All over social media you'll see people shaking glitter all over their workings all over their candles and they will tell you that the spirits like this, the spirits are attracted to this. What spirits are you referring to? Even when you speak about Hoodoo?

Because when we talk about the Orisha community the spirits they work with are the Orisha when we talk about the Voodoo community the spirits they are working with are the Lwa. In Palo Mayombe community the spirits they work with are called Mpungus. Witchcraft they have certain spirits they work with depending on your location and so does Wicca but in Hoodoo our spirits are the ancestors, yes we do have other ones that we may used like the Man at the crossroads and John the Conqueror, but the spirits we work with the most more than anything else is our ancestors.

So basically if someone tells you that glitter attracts spirits. Your question to them should be What Spirits and Why?

Think about it the Orisha Ogun or Papa Legba don't like glitter. I know spirits of Polo don't use glitter and as far as your ancestors go I would love to hear what your grandma have to say if you her them glitter after asking for help. They'll probably tell you boy what the hell I supposed to do with this. 😅

So again ask this question Why and ? If you get an answer like well the spirits like it they are attracted to it, or helps them find their way to the person that's doing the spell or if you get a person that just totally gets mad and won't answer the question. Then that's your answer right there. They don't know the Why they just know the How. That's should further tell you that there not 100% and have not been taught, other than from what they read in the book. It's like me saying I'm a vodou priest because I spent years learning from reading books. NO.. can't happen. My point is try to find a notable root worker like myself to guide to in the right direction.

I love your art what is your thought process when making a drawing theres any artists that inspired you?

Both of these questions are difficult for me to answer, but I'll try!

When it comes to commissions my thought process is dictated a lot by what the client wants. It's always nice to get a client who will play to my strengths or allow me to do so myself, but that doesn't always happen. When I do a picture for myself I always try to have an idea of what I want to do before I start drawing anything. It's very hard for me to find a direction for a picture unless I have one already in mind when I start. As for artists who have inspired me? I don't think there is any one particular artist who has inspired me. I have pieced my style together from all sorts of influences. Maybe that's why it's taken me so long to find what I wanted to do, and why I jump around from style-to-style so much. Another thing is that when I started drawing I wanted to draw comics, and all of my time was spent building those skills. I paid a lot more attention to storytelling and stuff like that, rather than figure drawing or who I thought drew the best robots, or who colored the best, etc.

Q: Is A "Monitor Spirit" And "Destiny Swapping A Real Thing In Spirituality? A: Absolutely not. Let's talk about this, because it's a common trap for newcomers entering the spiritual space, often manifesting as paranoia.

People start to believe they need a whole arsenal of charms and wards, and that's precisely the point: It's a tactic to encourage you to purchase items. "Destiny swapping" doesn't exist. You cannot physically transfer someone's destiny to another person. Period.

"Monitor spirit"? A monitor spirit does not exist. Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides, Ansestors etc don't observe you constantly. Guardian Angels and genuine spirit guides don't operate like constant surveillance systems. All these concepts of – monitor spirits, destiny swapping, is an idea of being constantly observed by something negative – are primarily employed to play on your fears, anxieties, and nervousness, especially when you're just starting to process new spiritual experiences. It allows opportunistic individuals to take advantage of your vulnerable state, steering you away from what's genuine and real, and straight to their products.

Think Of It Like This: Do you know someone who has a drawer full of pills they ordered online or over the phone? Every time they see a commercial for a symptom, they exclaim, "Oh, I have that!" Right. Then buy the that medication. This concept applies here. When someone suggests another person can "track you" or that you "have this or that," it's almost always a sales tactic, nothing more. In my opinion, when someone claims they have a "monitor" observing them, it's merely another term for a familiar spirit. It's someone repurposing a name for their own agenda, much like how some have distorted and appropriated the Hoodoo tradition.

No one is going to a grave yard buying a spirit and deploying it in you and even if that were the case if wouldn't watch you.

Based on my experience, when someone claims they have a monitor observing them, I believe that’s merely a different way of referring to a familiar spirit; it’s simply someone altering a concept for their own has stolen their mojo or swag, which isn't a genuine thing.

Let's also address some other recent falsehoods:

Q: Are Big Mamma Dolls A Thing? "Big Mama dolls" aren't a real concept; not a thing. They were invented by a white woman around 2017. We don't used them nor place them into a bucket.
