moon knight's scales of anubis theory (or theories?)
okay, so hear me out.
i've been seeing on twitter a lot of people asking themselves how could the duat claim steven if he's like a blob fish with legs.
first point i'd like to make is: twereth said their hearts weren't full. we assumed, led by the show and the goddess, that they had to understand their memories and make it all whole and full or whatever.
BUT how could the scales measure MEMORIES if there was one heart missing? it was jake's heart. neither steven or marc saw jake's memories because maybe he's a new alter (on the show); i can't see how it would make no difference to the gods that there was one heart missing unless there wasn't much to balance on that heart.
that's me just thinking of the possibility of jake's doings not making a huge difference because IF he is new, you can't measure his whole life - he didn't have a whole life.
neither did steven. he lived bits.
but marc, he saw everything steven did and he remembers everything (he does not with jake, tho). he's the one who got to relive his memories and maybe forgive himself for his brother's passing, or even just letting it go just a bit. just a little. and with steven gone (i think that he was only claimed by the duat because it was a point of no return) and jake still buried somewhere, marc's chaos was gone. DID seems to be portrayed as chaos in this show, and harrow couldn't balance steven's heart either.
it's also interesting to point out that the word broken kept being repeated; so if marc's judgement doesn't have anything to do with his life before khonshu and it was all a matter of having a shattered mind, he would pass to the field of reeds once steven was gone and he was left alone in his mind. (jake's still looooockled)
second option is that the whole memory thing don't even matter and the scales just can't judge hearts that co-exist. if marc had fallen on the duat, maybe steven would be on the field of reeds.
