Crosswire Introductory Post!
Tumblr media
What would happen if Cross became an error? This is the answer to that question! After XGaster's continuous resets, somewhere along the way Cross's code split into pieces, leading to the majority of those pieces ending up somewhere in a far off outcode. Becoming the way he is now, his past memories were weathered and faded with time. Instead of dwelling on figuring out his past and rediscovering who he was, he's set on who he's going to become, who he wants to be. Eyes on the future, Crosswire joins The Omega Timeline to better the futures of others, restoring code to dwindling aus, while simultaneously protecting them from those who'd wish them harm.
His life within the timeline he calls home is unfortunate at best. Crosswire puts in tremendous effort for those around him, yet receives less in turn due to the stereotypical view of errors and their variants. Working hard he receives recognition for his duty - but little for his character, and other interests. He knows he wants good for his self proclaimed family and friends, but hardly knows what to make of himself past that. With the lack of memories and lapses of that already poor memory, Crosswire fears he's going to lose what little he already has.
Duty calls him though, and that job of his leads him to discover the destructive entity that is Ethernet. Stopping and constantly thwarting Ethernet's plans in a scramble to help those in need, Crosswire can't help but to feel a sense of familiarity around the other glitch. His memory feels more secure near him, he's sworn he's seen a face like his before, so on and so forth. Developing an attachment to his enemy, he finds peace with their regular battles and violent interactions. Ethernet successfully becomes the one constant in his life, the one person who's upfront and honest with him (no matter how aggressive).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Crosswire can come across as mean, and he's definitely sassy, though underneath his pricklier exterior lies a squishy, loveable inside. Protecting that inside is a hardened, nonchalant (for lack of a better word) shell. He exhibits great patience and he's extremely considerate, although once you tread too far across his boiling point he has a fiery, hard to quell temper. Most of his rage, discomfort, and pointentally other negative emotions are held on his inside, bottled and kept from ever poking their head. He fears his already difficult to enjoy character would be worse off if he expressed himself to the fullest. He cares deeply for those around him regardless of if they do for him, and he sees the better sides of things with an almost foolish optimism. He's strong-willed, both in behaviour and form, and he's an even stronger lover.
- Crosswire's strings don't come from his eyes, but instead come from his cheeks. He peels them from his skull in an almost painful manner, like heated rubber pried from a road. His strings are stronger, harder to snap or break, more like wire than thread.
- Cross's fear of cows has translated weirdly through Crosswire's broken memory. Instead of being terrified of simple farm animals, he's deathly scared of Mammoths.
- Crosswire, when he's not busy with his work, spends his time creating comics. They're nothing special, as his creative abilities are nowhere near as good as others, but he enjoys the process of storytelling and drawing. Excuse his many plotholes, stereotypically drawn anime segments, and overpowered characters, and you might enjoy them.
- Crosswire is capable of destroying Aus much like his counterpart, although he's modified that violent technique and turned it into something constructive.

I think it's about time Crosswire's opinion on Ethernet gets released into the wild!
Tumblr media
Crosswire's duty is to protect, and to help those in need. He prides himself in what he does, as the residents of the Omega Timeline encourage him to continue with what he does. He sees those from home as family, friends, however in return they see him as much less. Not because he isn't valuable, but due to the stereotype most errors are 'bad', or destructive. Crosswire fits under neither, yet he's consistently odd in behavior and appears off to those around him. Isolated because of this, his constant time around Ethernet (obviously, thanks to his job) feels much more rewarding than the brief time he spends around those from home. He may not be pleasant company, but he's company, and some of the only company he's going to get. Crosswire idealistically sees the good in people around him, rather than the bad, as he feels it's up to him to fix things.
The path Ethernet is headed toward he wishes to block. Crosswire, after getting past the initial annoyance and anger that came from dealing with a person on a constant violent basis, now wishes to help. Like Ethernet, Crosswire is missing a piece of himself. But unlike him, he isn't going to immoral means to search for it. He feels as if Ethernet could be doing the same, that his extraordinary strength and intelligence could be used for the better. Crosswire both sees his attempts at trying to 'fix' him as the best pathway for Ethernet to go down, as well as a means to prove himself. He's not just good at his job - he can do more than that.
Crosswire sees Ethernet as stubborn, a hard to push boulder, yet he believes in him. He sees his strength, his cleverness, his tenacity, all of it, admirable. Even in Ethernet's anger, Crosswire finds himself liking those traits too. Dealing with people who don't exactly give him their real opinion on him, Ethernet is a far contrast to that. He isn't afraid to speak his mind, he says exactly what he's thinking about Crosswire, and he doesn't lie. (At least, when he does lie, it's easy to see through) Ethernet is an error himself, and because of this Crosswire can also see relatability in him. He may seek him out to put a stop to his destruction, but he also genuinely looks forward to seeing him. Their battles, arguments, whatever else. It's weird, but he cares extremely hard for him. He's a lover deep down, however badly he may cover it up or make it out to be otherwise, and Ethernet happens to be another object to fill his heart.

A WIZnet breakout for adding Ethernet! 馃攲馃寪
We have in stock an Ethernet FeatherWing https://www.adafruit.com/product/3201 and an Ethernet Shield https://www.adafruit.com/product/2971 , but for other boards where you may want to add wired networking, this breakout board will do the trick. It features the WIZ5500 chip https://docs.wiznet.io/Product/iEthernet/W5500/overview , mag jack with activity and link LEDs, level shifting, and power regulation so you can run it from 5V or 3V microcontrollers. Perfect for a Pico or ESP32 - all you need is SPI and two GPIO pins!

Das gibt es also immer noch. Wie in den Nuller Jahren!
Tumblr media

Stupid Computer Shenanigans
Can you tell I like computers? Can you tell I'm autistic? I hope so!
Welcome back fuckers to this tumbly tumble dryer I claimed as my own. Today's garbage fire wonders if there's a difference between a tumble dryer and a normal dryer.
So a couple weeks ago, after putting an extra 4GB of sketchy eBay RAM into it, my 2007 no-name custom-ish PC I got for $6.25 from the thrift store was ready to exist a little better than 1GB of RAM. Because my autism desires stupid bullshit, I decided I must try to use it online. One problems, however: I haven't any ethernet to my room because I'm a bitch. Now, I could solve this with a USB WiFi adapter, but the computer hates it and refuses.
Instead of doing the sensible thing and giving up, I decided it needed to get stupider. I present to you: stupid computer shenanigans.
Tumblr media
What you are witnessing is a short ethernet cable connecting the PC to a 2013 Dell business laptop to steal its internet for its own personal gain.
And it works!
They always say that, "if it works, it isn't stupid," but this is still stupid.
It was such a pain to get working. It's almost as if computers don't usually steal WiFi from a laptop running a different Windows version. It took quite a while of trying to setup networks on the PC and allowing it to take WiFi on the laptop. But, eventually, it connected.
Firefox no longer works with Windows 7, but thankfully I have an old version of Firefox from 2022 laying around and it works.
The experience was... not fast. It's almost like it's siphoning internet from a laptop through garbage nonsense and trying to render it with a Core 2 Duo and 5GB of DDR2-800 RAM. But hey, it worked! It was stupid, but it worked! Surprisingly, it wasn't the worst online experience I've ever had. Have you tried to use the internet on a 2DS or Wii U? No, of course you haven't! And if you have, shut up.
ok thats all thanks for coming to my me talk
