I was wondering where the Bros were. Then I realized that since it's now post merger, they've most likely turned on each other and are trying to persuade host Johnny Zest and a tribal council of Calientes why *they* deserve to win 🧐

STOPPPPP dont get me started DONT...... ok too late im starting Yes 3000% they are fighting for their lives and they are Failing, it's all 'WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER!!! U + ME TIL THE END BUDDY!!!' but sours into s7 jonny / shawn style showdowns (I'll let u decide who's who) over the stupidest things til they're at each other's throats constantly + ideally it would've been sergio getting voted out first bc no one trusted him from the start but the bitch keeps winning single immunities to the point where he makes it to the final 2?? everyone's pissed . their final jury council confrontation ends up very big tom + boston rob "don't be stupid, stupid" scornful handshake fakeout... the shattered brotherhood of it all.... the crazy accents of it all (in survivorland sergio is pure joisey)... everyone 4ever regrets voting joaquin out first bc it wouldve been a piece of cake to pummel his ass in those final endurance challenges but they simply could not stand living with him a moment longer

Cannot wait to see what you do with Elixirs & Brews 🧹🧪 I've been reworking all the Glimmerbrook builds one by one for the Spellcaster portion of my occult rotational gameplay and my jaw still drops at how bad they are (admittedly I am hardly the best designer ever, but I also do not put my builds in a gameplay pack and charge for them lol). Everyone who's ever redone a Glimmerbrook build needs a support group where we can get together and gripe about the experience 😂

I saw your makeover and I thought you vastly improved it! ❤️ Here's two lazy screenshots - I'm still in the very early stages of building and mostly focused on the interior right now, but I'm happy so far! I want the pub to look moody and dated, almost like it has been around since medieval/renaissance times.

I remember back when the GP released and even the big, popular sims YouTubers were coming for EA/the sims team and talking about how bad the builds were... like that's when you should realize you messed up and make an attempt to fix it, but the sims team would be hard pressed to give a shit imo. 🙃 Doors to nowhere, bathrooms without toilets, random and haphazard decor, lots and lots of open/dead space...it's especially obvious how awful the builds are when you compare them to the beautiful scenery of Glimmerbrook and the conceptually beautiful magic realm itself. The Strangerville pack is one of my favorite sim packs of all time, but its builds have the same issues unfortunately. At least we can all share our improved versions!

I Love the support group idea, we need a place to blow off steam. Renovating Glimmerbrook is a scary undertaking! 😅😂

This was so much harder than I imagined—and I didn't go in thinking it was going to be easy! How do you even define "top" screenshots?

Something I noticed on my first pass was that I was gravitating to a lot of posed shots, as they seem to tell a story better in a single image than you can with live gameplay. (Lots of favorite moments passed over because the action or reaction is spread over multiple images.) However as I pared down, they became the easiest to let go of. Easier than multiple scenics and tablescapes and other questionable "top" entries. In the end, it became about juxtaposition and joy.

Scrolling through a year's worth of posts on what turns out to be simblr gratitude day (?) has me feeling all kinds of mushy, so I'd just like to say I'm so grateful you're here. For anyone who bothered reading this, anyone who cares even a teeny tiny bit about my humble little Rebuild A City sims. Even if you've never left a comment, or read without liking a single post, or don't read at all but are unbothered enough to stick around following me for the 3 whole builds I manage to post per year... 😁 I'm grateful you're here and that I get to share my silly little post-apocalyptic world with you.

And, hey, one year in, now that we've set the pace... Here's to getting through years 3 and 4 (and hopefully more!) in 2024.

Brunch Date

First up we're going BIG! I'm talking time to ship up every single member of the York family to go and meet the Alegria family by @matchalovertrait! Wouldn't be too massive of a trip though since we're mostly all in Tartosa.

I suspect Devin and Dulce would get along. I think Aaron would probably be a bit too pompous for Erick to maintain a conversation with. I'm guessing Noemi would probably not mind talking to Calista since they're both family and career women. Angel would probably be the one helping Joey make sure Alfred and Rilian are having fun.

Supernatural Hang out

Sending my werewolf Samir, his boyfriend Reece, and the Knightstone's to try and make friends...

They would be meeting up with Caleb and Morgan by @marcishaun, as well as Lou and Lux by @ethicaltreatmentofcowplants.

As well as Priscilla, Tony and Moumou by @eljeebee and the Bohan family by @aliengirl.

First up Moumou (who's a cat if you didn't know) would be surrounded by all the younger sims. The youngest would probably just all be sitting there making imitation cat noises. I like to think Silas would be interested to meet Carina and Orion and have a million questions about how they manage to look both human and alien at the same time.

Blue would tell Adam how he carried a pregnancy and Adam would storm off in horror for several reasons. First off Adam doesn't want more kids. Plus he's hot headed. Then of course Adam hates UFO aliens getting humans pregnant and would probably feel like the tale hits to close to home, even though Rhea and Blue made their kids with love. Suzanna however would be fascinated to learn about the process.

Priscilla would likely try to cheer up Caleb about being a vampire while Tony would probably try to impart some wisdom about being a human in love with an immortal to Morgan.

Let's be real Samir would probably sit there brooding the entire time but Reece would undoubtedly be chatting at a million miles an hour with Lou and Lex to try and learn all he could about real werewolves.

EDIT: I forgot my main point which is I think most of them would enjoy talking about plants and gardening and nature.

I think Amiyah would spend the time trying to teach Savannah and Mercedes how to dance and would probably give them several make overs. Cassandra would find it fascinating to meet these alternate universe Rahul offspring where as Rahul would probably be a bit creeped out.

Casual Drinks!

Sending Joey to meet the infamous Ben Ben by @slightly-ludic for a night on the town! You know Ben needs a drink after that Jungle Adventure!

Of course we're also inviting Astrid by @simmerbeans and Stan and Milena by @stargazer-sims.

A lot of the talk would revolve around travel and what different countries are like. I think Astrid would love talking to Ben and Stan, Joey would do his best to comment on the conversation but secretly be eyeing up whatever single ladies are in the bar. Of course Joey and Ben would say some dopey stuff earning them eyerolls from the other three. I think the younger ones would benefit from time with Stan and Milena though, get some life lessons.

Simblr Gratitude Day!

I'm not a huge fan of listing people by name because I'm always worried I'll forget someone or that somebody will feel left out; however, I'm going to do this anyway. This list is by no means exhaustive and it's not going to be in any particular order.

Before I get started specifically mentioning people, I just want to say a huge thank you to all my followers (nearly 900 of you!) and to everyone who's ever interacted with anything I've ever posted.

This blog is eclectic, disorganized and generally chaotic (probably a lot like me), so I want to thank everyone for putting up with my nonsense for the past three years on this blog, and since 2015 on my old one. It's called the Let There Be Light! Laser Show and looks like it's from the Digital Deluxe edition of the game. Not sure how helpful that news is!

It's officially December and so that means it's the most wonderful time, of the year! At least, close to it, if you celebrate an end of the year holiday that is I suppose! So, we countdown to that day with a handful of wonderful simblrs this week!

@simstrashkingdom ~ Simblr story that is grounded in reality and very pro LGBTQ+ if you are looking for that specifically! Great pictures and dialogue and something new I am getting into so lots to binge on here!

@hannahssimblr ~ This one reads like a novel! Seriously! I can't wait to dig more into this one but from what I've read I know it will be special! It's also a completed story which is kind of rare at least in my experience on simblr or sims storytelling so yeah! GO READ IT!

@ethicaltreatmentofcowplants ~ First of all, this is a great name! The simblr is great too! Gameplay and humor and I always love these kind of simblrs! They are easy to fall into and I just found this one last week or so?!

@sparkiekong ~ I've put Sparkie on here before and so this is the 2nd time and thats because I love this simblr! Unique creations and simblrs and if you need mermaid stuff or unique lots this is definitely a simblr to visit!

@simming-in-the-rain ~ A historical simblr I also have started to follow recently! I mean to make more visits here and I just know how hard it is to do historical stuff with the limitations of this game so I always respect historical simblrs!

Well, we march into December and soon, the end of the year! Next week we'll be closer to that and I'll have five more simblrs to suggest and glomp on!
