A/N: Hi anon! Thank you so much for requesting! I didn't know what to write for a while but hopefully this is good :> I hope you enjoy!

Gray yeon

Ever since you started to date him, Gray has constantly talked about studies and how you should apply to the same cram school to “increase your grades.”

But his intentions involved also giving himself an excuse to spend more time with you.

You eventually gave in because well.. he does have a point… A little bit of studying could certainly help your grades.

He always seems to have extra classes which means that you usually tend to wait for him so you can walk home together.

“Hey sorry y/n did you wait for a long time..?” gray would suddenly pop up, always feeling bad to make you wait after him.

“Not at all! Let’s go already!” You grabbed him as you got up and ready to go, smiling at him reassuringly.

Gray hasn’t really told you this before but he’s glad you’re in his life. Simple moments like walking together always seem to remind him of how lucky he is to have you.

As you were walking home together, some guys started to check you out. Not an unusual thing in your life but it still is very uncomfortable every time.

One of them chased after you. “Hey sorry, I was just wondering if I could get your number? You’re really pretty,” He said, bowing down as he presented his phone.

You can tell Gray feels jealous or uncomfortable because he suddenly became stiff. Honestly, if looks could have killed, I assure you he would have been dead.

“They’re taken,” He assured the guy coldly, taking your hand immediately. “Come on y/n… Let’s go this way,” he would softly whisper to you, pulling your hand a bit.

After you have gone a bit far, you start to recognize the street you’re in. This is the way to Master Arcade.

“I must be lucky to have you since everyone else can also see your worth,” he would tell you while holding your hand closer, he smiles at you and pats your forehead.

“A game of Tekken?” he would ask you, getting some coins out. “Oh you’re so on! I have been practicing lately so I can take you out!” You point to him as your sudden competitive spirit comes out. 

He looks at you softly as you pump your fists into the air walking into the arcade.

I know Eunjang is an all boys school but for the plot we will ignore this fact :>

“Hey, you heard? Apparently there’s a hottie in class 1-7.” A group of guys commented “Yeah, I heard they look like they came from a tv drama.” They would whisper to each other. 

Curiosity will eventually kill these cats because they were on their way to see who the pretty hottie is that everyone is talking about. 

“Woah! They’re absolutely beautiful,” They chatted as they would form around your classroom door. “Dude you should totally go ask for their number. You’re one of the most popular guys,” 

“Yeah.. You know what? I will.” The group started to hype each other to go ask for your number. “Wait! But guys if the rumors are also right.. Then… they are dating Ben Park..” The last words rolled off his tongue slowly, warning the others as if trying to avoid a stirring storm.  

“Really? Well I mean… Do you see him? Cause I don’t so” He started to state it cockly. “I’m getting their number if it’s the last thing I do.” He started to comb his hair with his hand, preparing himself.

“Oh.. well it might be the last thing you do then,” a voice stated from behind. Startled by this, the group turned around to see none other than Ben Park at the entrance of your classroom with a plastic bag. 

 Trembling the group realized that maybe this could certainly be the last thing they do. Maybe they should have been careful on what they say if they don’t want it to come true.

“We.. were just about to leave,” one of the guys mentioned as they started to slowly move out of the place. 

“Unless you really want it to be the last thing you do, don’t come back to get their number. They’re already taken.” Ben looked back at them to stand his point. They didn’t even dare to look back and all Ben could hear was whispers from them. “Shit dude, I told you they were taken.”

Like a lightswitch, his sudden dark person turned into the overgrown puppy you know. “Babe! I got us some snacks and drinks!” He announced as he got into your classroom. 

“Thank you! Also you didn’t get into another fight right? I heard some noise outside the classroom again.” You asked him as he took the chair in front of your desk, your hand on his cheek checking for any wounds.

“No… But y/n. I do have a question..” Ben slowly asked as if he was entering a dangerous area. He held his head with his hands and looked at your table, refusing to look into your eyes. 

“If hypothetically.. Some guys that were actually good looking came and gave you their number.. What would you do?” His eyes finally lifted up to look into yours.

“What? Where did this come from? Ben, you know I have eyes for you only. As long as you want me to, I will always love you.” You stroke his cheek affectionately trying to melt away any worries or insecurities he might have.

“Well then that’ll be for a long long time won’t it?” He smiled softly at you and you could almost see an imaginary tail wagging perked up at your response. “Yeah it certainly will be for a long time,” you chucked at his fast mood switch. 

“Come here babe!” He called out to you as he grabbed your wrist to pull you out of your chair and into a big hug.

It stayed that way until the teacher had to literally drag him out when break was over because he refused to let go of you. 

Gerard Jin

It’s no secret that you’re beautiful and it’s less of a secret that Gerard likes to admire your beauty. 

Gerard’s gaze has been stuck to you ever since he first saw you. He always admires you like a painting in a museum.

Sometimes it isn’t noticeable that he’s admiring, because of his broccoli head no one really knew where his eyes were looking.

Other times, it’s a bit noticeable and you would make accidental eye contact. Always end up with him blushing. 

The funny thing is that now that you're dating, he still blushes after you catch him staring at you. 

Another thing is that since he also cut his hair, it's so easy to tell when he's looking at you.

"You're staring at me again.." you would call out to him. Sitting down next to him, you can see he laid down as he nuzzles his head with his arms. 

"... You're beautiful," is all he would say. If you turn to look at him, you can see him becoming nervous.

It's honestly cute how nervous and shy he still gets even after dating you for a bit now. 

"Oh.. I almost lost track of time because of you. I need to head to my part time," he started mentioning. "Well then let's go together!" You pat his head, signaling him to stand up. 

Maybe because of the slight difference in height, it always felt safe to walk around him with. No matter where you went.

Suddenly a group of guys would come up to you. "Hey, we were wondering since you're pretty if you would give any of us a shot?" One of the guys at the front asked you.

Overwhelmed by the sudden attention, you were unsure of what to do. "They are really pretty aren't they?" Gerard would softly laugh as he put his arm around you. 

Gerard trusts you so much that he feels like he doesn't need to reject guys for you. He knows that deep down you love only him. 

Grabbing Gerard's hand and pulling yourself closer to him, you rejected their offer. The guys looked disappointed but they didn't try to persuade you any further. A no is a no and they understand that.

The trust that this guy has in you is so strong that not once has he ever doubted you. He knows many guys are trying to date you and yet he trusts that you respect the relationship enough to never give your number. 

Every time someone flirts with you, he just holds you close. That's all he needs to know you're still there with him.

"How about I get you delicious chicken after my shift?" He would ask sweetly. "Employees discount! Plus Ttosikki Chicken is the best," He added, his mouth watering just at the thought. 

"Chicken is a great comfort food don't you think?" He would say as he stops for a moment to peck your forehead for a moment. 

Close to him, you can hear his heart beating for you only.

Alex go

Alex Go saved a whole universe in his past life. Or at least that's what he kept thinking when the most gorgeous person said they have feelings for him as well. 

I mean what other reason would there be for this literal divine figure to like him. 

Even Ben got jealous that Alex has such an amazing person. "Man, you really scored with y/n.. So lucky.. When will it be my turn," Ben would tell him the first time you guys started dating. 

Yet at least Ben respected your relationship unlike other jerks who would not only swear they could totally win your heart if they tried but also beat Alex and put him in his place.

At first he tried to ignore it but the insults were starting to get to him and eventually he got into more fights than he needed to. 

Ben was worried. More than anything, you were especially worried because you would always see the aftermath of the reckless fights he would get in.

As much as you hate it, you would always bandage his wounds as best as you could. Always begging him to please stop getting into so many unnecessary fights.

"Are we still up for pool?" You texted Alex just to make sure something didn't come up.

"Yeah of course. Can't wait to see you :)" Alex texted back as he put his phone in his pocket and hurried into the pool hall that by now he's probably a VIP customer.

You moved your way to the pool hall and as soon as you opened the door you saw Alex already waiting for you at the table the group always plays in.

“Game on y/n!” Alex greets you as he grabs your hand and leads you toward the game.

You could pick what the loser and winner gets and he wanted a kiss every time he won, really making him concentrate in the game. 

He just kisses your cheek when it’s your turn to throw you off balance and it worked the first few times. Cheating? Yeah possibly but not according to him. 

When it was his turn, the door suddenly fling open which startled the both of  you. It also caused him to completely miss the shot and the ball going the opposite direction he wanted it to.

A bit annoyed but nevertheless tried to ignore them but them on the other hand? It was clear that they were interested in you two. You specifically.  

One of the guys starts to approach your table and starts leaning against your pool table. 

“I’m making the first move when it comes to talking, so I’m expecting you to make the first move when it comes to kissing.” He says as his body suddenly leans towards you, giving you a sly smirk.

“Back off prick.” Alex pushes him back and gets in between you. He is not taking this disrespect and right in front of him as well. The nerve of this guy. 

“And who are you supposed to be? I don’t have time for idiots like you.” The guy starts laughing at him and that was the last straw Alex needed. 

A fight broke out and you tried your best to control it. Eventually Alex beat them but he wasn’t in the mood to play anymore. Besides being ashamed of how easy it ticked him off, he left without another word.

You followed him, calling out to him trying to get his attention. Eventually he stopped and you were able to reassure him.

“I’m sorry y/n..” He whispered to the point you almost didn’t hear him. “Alex.. You know I care for you a lot so I get worried when you get into fights like that. I love you a lot and don’t want to accidentally lose you or anything.. You know?” You told him gently. 

That hit a spot for Alex. He understands that feeling better than anyone else. “Yeah.. I know..”

“So promise me you won’t get into any more unnecessary fights okay? I treasure you so I don’t want you ruining that beautiful face of yours or I’ll personally throw hands!” Lifting your pinkie, he kisses you instead.

“I promise.”

Donald Na

Being in a relationship with Donald is a bit difficult at times.

That’s because he doesn’t go around saying you’re his partner or anything because he knows how easy of a target that would make you. Him being the Union leader and all of that. 

But he still gets jealous whenever someone tries to make a move on you. Which unfortunately for him are very often.

This is why he always makes sure he creates time to spend with you. Always, If he can’t go announcing you’re his partner and to leave you alone. At least he can spend more time with you in private. 

His favorite way to show everyone that you’re taken without necessarily having to announce it is to mark you. 

He loves to put them everywhere on your body, your neck, collarbone, back, chest, and even stomach. 

It shows everyone you’re his without people questioning it. 

You were on a business dinner with the union when one of the guys that you’re trying to negotiate with won’t stop flirting with you. 

You do subtle glances at Donald to see if he’s looking… Only to make eye contact with him every single time. 

You try to play off the flirtiness and try to come across as professional but this guy just wouldn’t stop. 

“I think this meeting is over. We’ll call you again next time to discuss things.” Donald called off the meeting suddenly. Most of the guys confused left. 

Along with everyone else you tried to leave, when Donald called you. “Not you y/n.. I believe we still have many things to discuss,” he would say in a way that would give you shivers down the spine. 

“Donald.. You know I wasn’t flirting,” you tell him and he nods. “Yes I know.. Come here for a second,” he says as he pats the seat next to him. 

When you got close, he brushed your hair away. You gasp at the cold sudden hands.

“Oh.. I see,” he mentioned quietly. More to himself than anything as if taking a note. 

“It seems like the marks are fading away y/n…” His fingers tracing the marks slowly. 

“Don’t you think it’s time to redo them?” He got close to you enough that you could feel his breath on your collarbone. 

“You have time for me.. Correct?” 

Jake Ji

Jake loves to spend time with you even when you’re both not doing anything particularly together but still in each other's company. 

You can tell when he gets jealous because he whines and gets all clingy.

You get flirted with a lot so it happens often. You've gotten used to it by now. 

“Y/nnnnn, you still love me right? Even if those guys would have given you their number you would still only call me right?”

Although, there was an incident way before. Which honestly halved the people who now flirt with you.

He almost beat to death some assholes who kept harassing you when you said no to them multiple times. One of them even tried to corner you so you couldn’t run away from them anymore. 

It was relieving to see your boyfriend but when you saw a face that even struck fear to you, you felt unsure on what to do or say. 

He beat them up to the point they needed to be hospitalized but if you didn’t call out to him that day maybe they would have been in a cemetery rather than a hospital.

Really it took you completely by shock because you only knew one side of Jake up til this moment, which is the aloof and outgoing guy. 

Easy to say, most if not all the guys who knew about the incident refused to flirt with you.

Yet those who didn’t, well we pray they don’t trigger something in jake to repeat the incident.

Well today you were on a small picnic with him, he was lying down reading his newest manga that he picked up. 

A guy came up to you “Hi sorry to bother but my friend over there thinks you’re cute and he’s too shy to come ask for your number.” He said as he pointed to a group of friends who were elbowing one blond guy. 

“Ah, sorry but I already have someone,” you would just reply as the guy bowed down and retreated away. 

You turn around to look at Jake, a tiny bit worried about his reaction, only to see that he’s just staring into the other guy’s soul.

“Jake…” You called out to him as you waved your hand in front of his face. “Y/n to Jake?” you call out to him softly. 

He just tilts his head to meet your eyes. “Y/n,” he called out to you in a serious voice.

“Do I not look like your boyfriend enough?” Is the very next thing that comes out of his mouth. 

“What-” Before you even got to question him, he added another question. “Should I wear a shirt that says I’m y/n’s boyfriend?” He looks a bit too happy at the idea.

“Jake no-” “Jake yes!” 

After the quick exchange he went back to reading his manga. The only difference is that now he’s laying on your legs. “You love me right?” A sudden question that Jake asked after a moment of silence.

“Jake, of course I do. You know that. I love you and no one will ever take your place. Ever.”

Days later, you realized… he wasn’t joking about the shirt. 

Wolf Keum

You have been dating Wolf for a little bit now which means he has definitely noticed the amount of people that try to gain your number are a tad higher than average. 

Honestly, he wasn’t trying to be possessive or come out as jealous all the time but the amount of people always checking you out was starting to be irritating.

One day, he noticed a guy who seemed way older than both of you was eyeing you. Something in his brain just clicked.. and he started to count.

‘1.. 2…’ and before he got to 3 the guy stopped looking. A sound of disapproval could be heard from him as you looked over wondering what was going on in his head.

From then on, he applies the 3 second rule to you as well. Now anyone that looked at either him or you for longer than 3 seconds would find themselves in Wolf's hands on an alleyway the next night. 

It was late at night and Wolf suddenly texted you. “Sleeping?” Based on past experience, this either means that he’s in front of your house or that he was thinking about you and can’t sleep. 

You look at your window to see a purple hair standing. He looked up to see your face as he waves and smiles. 

Welp, time to get your coat. Meeting him outside, you wonder what he was up to this time.

“Are you hungry?” He softly put his arm around as he looked around. “Convenience store trip?” He asked again. 

“Why not? Let’s go for it!” You told him as you leaned into his body warmth.

At the convenience store you got yourself some cookies and some snacks while Wolf didn’t get much snacks but only a drink and some cigarettes.

You sat on the table outside of the convenience store. There was a bit of wind but not enough to be too cold. In some form it was actually comforting.

Wolf smoked for a bit away from the table. He didn’t want the smoke to constantly be bothering you when you’re trying to eat. 

Yet that’s when a big tall man came up to your table and was starting to flirt with you. You were starting to look uncomfortable as the man sat down on the chair where Wolf was going to sit. 

Wolf noticed and he started to count. “1…” he got up from his crouching position “2..” he put out his cigarette and started to walk towards the table. “3…” he got in front of the guy and smiled. Well, well, well, what a good reason to pick a fight with this new prick. 

He took his glasses off and put them on the table as the guy got up from the chair. “Are you deaf? I said, what are you smiling at?” Wolf didn’t hesitate as a punch immediately landed on the guy’s face.

 Taken back a bit the guy tumbled backwards, he quickly recovered to land a hit on Wolf but it didn’t seem to affect him one bit. 

Wolf only walked closer to him as the guy suddenly got nervous at his opponent. He punched him again only to get no reaction again.. 

Wolf got close and landed punch after punch after punch. When he was no longer reactive, Wolf was a bit disappointed in how quick he gave up. 

“That’s it? Where’s the guy who tried to rob my girl? The guy who got all up in my face?” He said as he grabbed the guy by the hair, only to let him go and kick his head. 

“Wolf..?” You called out from behind. “Nothing to see here, I’m done anyways. Sorry to keep you waiting,” he mentions as he gets close to you. Noticing he has blood on his hand he tries to clean it up.

“Tell me if anyone else bothers you,” He says as he hugs you. His heart was still pumping from the adrenaline he got from the fight.

“Anyone who dares to look at you for longer than 3 seconds.. I’ll put them back in their place because they clearly forget where their level is”

Weak Hero: Character Name Meanings (Korean): Part. 2 The Union Executives

Weak Hero AU role swap where Gray was bullied and fell off the roof. Stephen became obsessed with defeating bullies, transferred to Eujang and befriended the gang, etc. Gray woke from his coma with a lot of medical debt and joined Donald Na to pay it off. Thanks!

I tried to hard to keep that to five headcanons... So hard...

1 - It's so much worse because Stephen was the one to bring what's-his-name into the group. He feels so guilty about it and that leads him to not liking giving people second chances or even chances at all. He Is Done Trying To Be The Good One. It gets better thanks to the Eunjang's crew influence but instead of being feral like Gray, that boy is bitter.

2 - Meanwhile, Gray wakes up from a coma (so if you thought he was a toothpick before...) and he is in a ton of medical debt. Finding a honest high-paying job as a high schooler would be a waste of time so he goes straight to blackmail. He visits the three morons who threw him from a roof and calmly inform them that yes, he is a bit mad about the roof incident but he is willing to forgive and forget if they give him a shit ton of money or he is going to break every bone in their bodies. The three bullies laugh in his face. The next day, one of them is found broken, like he was hit several times by a car. The bullies stop laughing.

3 - Now, the bullies' problem is that their parents are currently broke (politician caught in an embezzlement, CEO who got scammed by his mistress who ran off with his wife and his neglected daughter and the last one got involved with a cult) so they are terrified. They can't call the police because they could discover that they threw a whole fellow student from a roof. One of them uses what's left in his bank account to hire some thugs (not the cool mobster ones) to kill Gray and the other goes to the Union and begs Donald Na on his knees to protect him from a two-legged-toothpick who just woke up from a six months coma. (I will let you imagine Donald's face when he heard that one.)

4 - Donald investigates a little on Gray and finds out that he isn't a physical threat (listen, his intel is sixth-months-old, it's not his fault) but smart so he sent Jake to find him and to convince him to back down so Kingsley has more than two hours to make research about him. Jake calls him one hour later, absolutely panicked because that Gray Yeon has trapped a bunch of mobsters in a warehouse, locked them in, there is some strange probably toxic smoke coming out of him, the thugs are screaming and Gray has just lit a match. What is he supposed to do? And now, I won't say Donald grew a little infatuated that day but that was probably the start of something. He tells Jake to call the cops because he doesn't want that one to be arrested for murder just yet and obviously, Gray runs (well, walks fast) as soon as he hears the sirens.

5 - Now, Gray isn't stupid and has realized that during his coma, those morons have managed to lose all of their money. He is just soothing his nerves and redistributing some karma around. But he needs money ASAP because he is in a position where he can't even drop high school to work because he isn't even healthy enough to do so. So when someone he, at first, suspects to be a hipster, comes and visits him to offer him a job that involves working in an organization full of bullies, yes, he tells him to fuck off... but he doesn't really has a choice.

Kingsley: "What do you bring to the Union?"

Gray: "Some desperately needed braincells and if you can't even guess that much, the situation is even more dire than I thought."

6 - Gray has three rules in order to work with the Union: "Don't be stupid.", "Don't be needlessly cruel." and "Do. Not. Be. Stupid." And I want you to know that, at first, Gray and Donald make a great team. There is a lot more blackmail of greedy and corrupted people, the money is coming and Kingsley is even starting to like Gray. But because of Ben, Eunjang is still a problem.

7 - Now, Kingsley and Ben are aware that Stephen is Gray's former childhood friend that he hasn't contacted for unknown reasons (Gray doesn't want Stephen to see him working with criminals and blaming himself for it) but one thing is certain: they do not want Gray to feel even one bit of sympathy for Eunjang so no one in the entire organization is allowed to mention Stephen if Gray is in the same city or they will personally explain themselves to Donald Na. Now, Gray is aware that Donald is aware that Donald is hiding something so instead of math mind game telepathy, you get just mind game telepathy and Kingsley being slightly creeped out by them.

8 - Of course, thanks to the power of Fate (and the local eldritch owl), Stephen and Gray meet. They talk. They rejoice. They start seeing each other again. But things are complicated. First, Stephen understands pretty quickly that Gray is working for the Union and he is blaming himself for it and wants him to get out. Second, Gray has changed a lot. He is more bloodthirsty, for lack of a better world. He likes to fight. He likes to destroy arrogant people. And it shouldn't be a problem, because Stephen also changed a lot, but unlike Gray, he wants to return to what he previously was.

9 - Now, Donald knows about Stephen and Gray being friends again pretty quickly and he isn't happy about it. There is some jealousy here because at this point, Donald and Gray have become friends and Donald never had an intellectual equal before. There is also the fact that he would be pissed to lose such an efficient lieutenant for something as dumb as a friendship that didn't even bring Gray anything. Add to that the fact that Ben keeps defeating Donald's people and the fact Donald wants Eunjang not to be a problem anymore, with extreme prejudice, while Gray is arguing against it.

10 - Things go absolutely explosive where we reach the part where we reached the part where a stupid adult destroys the Union by signing something without actually reading the paper. Just like canon, Donald desperately tries to fix this mess, to just find the one solution. Unlike canon, when Donald doesn't find it, he shows up wherever Gray lives and orders him to find a solution. When Gray can't, Donald doesn't know if it's because he can't or because he doesn't want to and strongly suspects the latter. Gray is fired and told that if he allies himself with Eunjang, Donald will kill him.

11 - Canon follows its course. Eugene is attacked. Eunjang and the Union go to war. Unlike canon, Stephen asks for Gray's help. And Gray agrees. He doesn't show to the fight but the police does! They arrest the two creepy delivery men who kidnapped Ben, they break the fight between Eunjang and the Union, and everyone gets taken to the precinct, though no one gets arrested. 12 - Donald Na comes back to his office after one very long night, not in the best of mood, and with a really fresh and vaguely smug looking Gray sitting behind his desk.

13 - Now, do you remember Gray's "Do not be stupid" rule? Well, the Union has been breaking it for a while. The Union didn't take care of Phillip, who might be a jackass but also a treasure trove when it comes to networking and preferred to favor the Mok-Ha duo??? The obsession with sending his lieutenants get their faces broken on Ben Park's fist? What happened to Eugene? Well, Gray considered that the Union had been in breach of their contract for a while. Which is why he engineered its end. The reason why he saved Eugene? First, because he didn't want him dead in general but second, because he saw what was going to happen and used it as an opportunity to acquire more than half of the shares of the Union.

14 - So Donald has a choice now. He can either start from scratches. Or he can work with Gray.

For the ask game, please! Gray and Donald used to be childhood friends but Gray moved away. They meet in canon, Donald is convinced that Gray is pretending not to know him, while Gray doesn't recognize his smol childhood friend in the tall fully-body-tattooed spikey-haired gang leader that is messing his school life.

Oooo a fun one.

Donald and Gray grew up in the same orphanage after a tragic parent killing plague left many orphans. They both had trouble fitting in with the other kids, and Donald was sickly so Gray always protected him. One day Donald stole some food for them to eat and they got caught. Gray got blamed too even though he didn't know the food was stolen. Both were sent to separate juvenile delinquent facilities, and because they had no phone access they lost touch.

After getting out of the juvenile delinquent center, Donald changed his name to avoid his criminal past. He briefly checked up on Gray but didn't make contact. Gray was Donald's first love, and Donald has this dream of showing up before him as a successful man who can take care of him from now on. This is also because Donald feels horribly guilty about getting Gray sent to juvie and fears to see him again unless he has something to offer.

Donald is very upset when he realizes that Gray is not acknowledging him. (Because this is confirmation of all his worst fears that Gray blames him. Because deep down he thinks Gray should blame him, Donald fails to take into account how much he's physically changed and how he's using a different name now.) Donald arranges things like math competitions as gifts for Gray to win him back.

Meanwhile Gray has been spending years desperately searching for his childhood friend. Gray's childhood friend was very weak and fragile. Gray is very worried about him. He's recruited the gang to help him out on his search. Everyone believes that Gray's long-lost friend is a shy, nerdy frail bishounen.

Donald starts dropping hints about their past around Gray and Gray misinterprets that Donald is threatening his sweet, weak childhood friend. Gray nearly kills Donald before he reveals the truth. +1 Gray shows up at the final battle armed with childhood pictures of Donald as a sickly skinny boy with braces. Gray also threatens to reveal Donald's embarrassing childhood stories. Donald decides he doesn't need Eunjang in the Union after all and apologizes to Eugene.

Jake's friend group + thoughts

(Okay so just to clarify I don't actually care about the morality of fictional characters because they're, well, fictional. I just wrote this because I don't really see anybody else talking about them)

Usually when I see people talk about the Daehyeon boys it's usually about how they're similar to Eunjang and that if it wasn't for the Union, Jake's crew would get along with Eunjang so well etc etc.

But I don't really believe that Eunjang and Jake's crew could be friends (hang out?? tolerate each other, maybe, but not friends) with all their differences. It's pretty obvious that SEOPASS made them similar on purpose so I'm not gonna act like that's some groundbreaking discovery I made lmao, but there are some things that make me think that the two groups are actually pretty different.

For one, when Gray and his friends are leaving to go find Big Ben after fighting Dean and the others, he tells the guys from Daehyeon that Ben wouldn't gang up on Jake with them, and that Ben wasn't "Some wannabe thug like you guys."

But yeah, Jake and his gang can act like they're the chill, strong, laid back good guys, but that's all it is. An act. I mean, Dean and Eunchan literally pick fights with people for no reason, and are assholes a lot of the time.

Jake doesn't start fights for no reason but he never stops his friends from doing so, and though I've never seen this happen in canon before, I can a 100% imagine him being excited when that happens so that he can get into fights for a 'justifyable' reason. (This reminds me of something @rare-and-beautiful-things in a post before about Jake beating people up for his friends in their strong abd kind Union member post)

Plus the dynamics in their group are actually pretty different. Eunchan and Dean immediately underestimate their opponents (and in a way, Jake does too, but that's more understandable since he IS the number two in the Union), making a bunch of derogratory comments about the people they're fighting.

I've never seen anybody in Eunjang do that (besides Teddy but he's a special case💀) even though most of them are unbelievably strong they always approach their opponent with caution and never look down on them.

Also,, one thing I've noticed is that Dean and Eunchan have the tendency not only to look down on their opponents, but their friends as well. Okay that sounds bad so let me explain more😭😭

I feel like Eunchan and Dean unconciously rank people? (like most people in the Union do, and I guess it kind of comes along with being a thug) and don't get me wrong, I think they geniunely think of Timothy as a friend and care for him, but when you're in the Union you tend to view people who can't fight as someone less deserving of your respect, whether you do it consciously or not.

An example of this is when Gray is about to fight Dean, Eugene warns Gray about Dean's strength, Gray pats him on the shoulder and tells him not to worry.

But when Timothy does the same to Dean, Dean tells Timothy that he "didn't give a crap about his data", and I don't think he would have responded the same way if someone like Jake (or someone he viewed as 'more powerful' than him) told him to be cautious.

And let's be honest, you'd only talk to somebody that way if you didn't respect them.

It's pretty obvious that Eunchan does the same thing too. When Eugene and Timothy start fighting, Eunchan looks over at them and says, "What a bunch of losers."

I literally did a double take at that one because 1. Calling your friend (who's trying to help you) a loser? 2. It confirms what I thought about the other guys looking down on Tim for not being able to fight. They hang out with him and love him, sure, but subconsiously to them, anybody who cannot fight is a rank below them: a loser.

(I'm pretty sure they aren't aware of this since their friendship does seem pretty geniune. It's probably from the inflated ego that comes along with being a thug.)

The Eunjang boys have never once looked down on Eugene for not being able to defend themselves and always treated him as an equal, so that's another difference.

(Also another thing that's pretty telling is Eunchan's style of fighting- he hits Eugene in the face even though Eugene was practically defenseless and not attacking him. He also got Timothy to hold Rowan down so he could beat him up which is dirty asf and also just proves that they aren't really the 'cool strong heroes' they think they are.)

Anyways thanks for reading all this rambling and like I said at the start (i'll just repeat it because some people can't read and i don't want any hate) i don't actually care about whether fictional characters are good or bad because if I did I wouldn't be reading action webtoons (or having Wolf Keum as a fav) I just wanted to talk about this.

AU Thoughts - Teenage Mercenary Crossover

On occasion I have thoughts about writing crossovers. Recently, I pondered what would happen, if I slotted together Weak Hero and Teenage Mercenary, with Baekjin as a child ending up in the camp.

And god, did the world planning escalate.

First, there was the question of why would he end up there and I admit, I made it easy for myself. The stepfather is an abusive asshole. It is canon that he ran off with the insurance money after the mother died, why shouldn't he try to turn Baekjin into money and literally sell him?

I until now neglected planning anything regarding the camp life and timeline there outside of wanting him back in South Korea in time to start high school. Which is when the implications of that AU really hit me.

1. Manwol

Without Baekjin building up the Union to oppose and take over Yeongdeungpo, there would be no power opposing Manwol.

Teens that were recruited by him in the original timeline, may not join a gang at all and stay unaffiliated or join Manwol later on.

Without the Union on the rise, the fight pulling Manwol's attention to Bae Jihoon and Kang Jeongyeon would not happen, seeing as in that instance, the Manwol members were hunting for people already affiliated with the Union, so the fight that turned Jihoon against Manwol and had him turn to Baekjin would not happen or at least not as it did in canon.

Joo Seungjin may or may not join Manwol straight away, depending on the advantages he could gain.

Ji Gwangseok would try to leave Manwol and get hurt and Ji Hakho would have no strong gang to join and to get revenge for his brother.

2. Former Union members

Ji Hakho

As already stated, there being no Union around to join up with, Ji Hakho may be forced to stew in his hate and rage while also trying to get the money to help with his brothers surgery.

He may be on the lookout for people to help him get revenge and trying to get his own pound of flesh without putting his friends at risk, but as long as nothing big happens, he is stuck in that situation.

Lee Seehan

He rose up in the Union due to selling out Seungjin's dealings with Manwol to Baekjin. As there is very little info on how Manwol operated internally, there is no way of saying if he would attempt that again.

Joo Seungjin

He does things for his own gain and didn't plan to help Pilyeong with Eunjang before getting excommunicated from the Union. With no other big player around, he would have very few options to use his position to his advantage. But then I also doubt he would be very high up in Manwol, if he joined, seeing as Manwol is a high school gang and as a 1st year high school student, he wouldn't be very high in the hierarchy.

Keum Seongje

If Seongje joined Manwol, I can't see it lasting long. He didn't last in the Union due to disliking politics, and I doubt Manwol would be happy about a 1st year high school student beating up whoever he likes.

Bae Jihoon

I don't think that he would bother joining Manwol. He joined the Union initially to get tye backing to save his friend. As that incident wouldn't happen here, he may stay clear of more structured gangs if his fighting antics don't pull Manwol's attention upon entering high school.

3. Eunjang

With the change of the backstory, the situation in Eunjang would also change.

The fight between Park Humin and Bae Jihoon would most likely not happen, and if it does happen somehow, Na Baekjin not being around would prevent the wound to his arm occuring.

Kim Pilyeong set Jihoon on Humin in an attempt to take over Eunjang and rejoin the Union. In this universe, there is no Union, and without the Union there is no reason for him to even know Bae Jihoon.

Sure, he could have affiliated himself with Manwol, but he would need to start at the bottom there and while Manwol had dealings with Lee Chungil, they didn't have the same business oriented mindset Baekjin showcased. Joining Manwol, he would risk being turned into an ATM by other members due to his lack of fighting powers if him being a fake gets revealed. I don't think he would risk that.

4. Start point of the AU:

I would most likely start the story at the beginning of the first year of high school as the story starts in canon, with the twist of a specific albino looking teen joining Eunjang.

As Eunjang is regarded as not a very good school, I think it would be a lot easier for Baekjin to join it without having anyone dig too deeply into his lack of middle school papers and general lack of existence in South Korea for the previous years.

It could go multiple routes to facilitate an actual plot happening:

He does the odd underground jobs, which puts him at odds with Manwol.

Manwol tries recruitment from Eunjang and he starts out as collateral damage and seriously kicks ass. (He already did that in canon. I am morbidly curious how a teenage gang would fare against a Baekjin with excessive combat training)

The typical thugs play stupid games and win stupid prices. He was trying to lay low, but he isn't gonna have trash trying to walk over him.

I further mesh it together with the TM plotline and let SW be involved somehow, replacing Ijin's existence somewhat.

I would love to include my currently favourite pairing of femSieun/Baekjin into it and have the Numbers join the fun at some point. I feel like some of these mercenaries could get a good laugh out of it.

(Option 1-3 also put up the possibility of Hakho approaching Baekjin to deal with Manwol.)

Fazit:

It is an idea with a big playground and so much potential, but god, I don't have time for that at the moment. The timeline planning alone would currently drive me up the wall.

But it has many funny ideas, like Pilyeong trying to bribe Humin with chicken to keep Manwol out of Eunjang, people generally underestimating Baekjin as a weak no-name, Baekjin applying warfare tactics against a rather ignorant student gang...

Ijin broke into a place to copy files to a hard drive. You can't tell me Baekjin wouldn't do that to Lee Chungil to cut the monetary support of Manwol. Especially after he canonical had Seungjin break into his old elementary school and copy his former teacher's hard drive to completely ruin the man.

If he gets attached to Sieun and decides to get all the dirt he can on the Yang's? Goodnight to these fools.

So I was thinking about the ages of the characters in weak hero....we know that the union and eunjang boys are 17. Then Jaeryeong Lee and his gang from cheongang called Wolf and Jake kids....so that means they are older ..I am guessing around 19-20. Then Jaeryeong called Juwon ‘hungnim’ which is older brother, so all the executive of cheongang are definetly 20+. I read on wh wiki that Doyun and Giju are same age ...i wanna guess around 21-22. And Juwon might be 23 and Changhui Han might be same age or 24....

Rowan has had his YouTube channel for years and made funny skit videos with Eugene like smosh. he only gained subs after posting food reviews. His vid with Ben is his most successful.

Teddy wears subtle makeup to school and he looks good doing it. He's got the no makeup makeup down pat.

Gerard has watched ATLA and feels an affinity for Zuko.

Eugene is a gundam nerd.

Alex wants to go into pro boxing in the future.

Because Ben is a big eater, he knows all the best food places around. He also knows how to cook simple dishes but tends to overseason his food.

The gang has tried to persuade Gerard to audition for a talent show on tv after his performance in school but he's too shy.

Gerard often thinks about Slam and is thinking of getting the band back together.... or start a new one.

Eugene would theorise the shit out of Gravity Falls. His favourite character would be Dipper.

Teddy has an entire drawer full of cat clothes. Co doesn't like putting them on.

Gray's favourite books to read (aside from random encyclopaedias and nerd stuff) for enjoyment are mystery books and thrillers. He enjoys putting things together and he loves the adrenaline rush. His least favourite things to read are shitty YA romance novels. (no I am not projecting)

Alex legit had a crush on Gray for a while but he got over it.

Eugene compared Rowan to Koichi Hirose bc of his table hair. After that Rowan spiked it up higher to spite him.

Ben had a random glow up overnight after he cut his Lord Farquaad hair and to this day Alex had no idea how it happened. He's glad it did though.

Gray tried to crack jokes around the gang, but nobody got the punchline because they are too used to Gray being serious.
