malenia canonically being the youngest demigod like being the "baby" of the family so to speak is so funny to speak because everyone else is over there like "it's my baby sister!!! isn't she so cool!!!"

like malenia is genuinely such a TERRIFYING presence the first time I fought her I genuinely felt terrified of her, and that's not even MENTIONING when she transitions into malenia goddess of rot and then you look up their scuffed ass family tree and it's just. that's the youngest one???

was listening to the elden ring (+sote) ost on my 8hr bus trip last night and i cannot express how terrible of an idea that was . its was all gorgeous ambience and whatnot that lulled me into a slumber of false security and then i got activated into the waking world like a fucking sleeper agent when i heard malenia's phase 2 music kick into my ears

People who just write off most of the Demi-Gods (and Marika/Radagon) as pure evil piss me off so much. All of them have so much depth and intrigue sewn into their characters and to just ignore it is a disservice to the story Elden Ring is trying to tell.

Morgott grows to not be such a self loathing and depressive tree hugger, Mohg gets into none of that formless mother stealing his step bro and building his cult dynasty bs.

So when Marika addressed the demigods about "making of themselves what they will," I assume Godwyn was already dead as a nail and Ranni had "disappeared," and the Golden Lineage was still knocking about the capital.

Given that the Shardbearers seemed to have received their Great Runes prior to the Shattering... did Godrick immediately receive the Golden Lineage Great Rune by default?

Presumably, it was originally Godfrey's Great Rune, received when he became consort to Marika and the First Elden Lord. After his exile, I imagine it was passed to Godwyn, despite Morgott and Mohg already possessed their own "anchor runes." After he perished, Godrick was honored with a seat at the throne room. But was it truly intended for Godrick? or was Godefroy ahead of him in line until he was captured by Kristoff? Godefroy certainly seems a fair bit tougher, and likely began his grafting prior to Godrick.

I imagine it was when Morgott appeared as the Fell Omen that the Golden Lineage faced their persecution, at which time Godrick fled along with a number of heirlooms scrounged from the capital. Perhaps the Golden Lineage Great Rune was just another artifact he somehow managed to snag after Godefroy was imprisoned...?

That'd be kind of hilarious, lol. "Well, he found a Great Rune, and he is technically an heir to the Queen... I guess we've got no choice but to honor it!"

That motherfucker is an amalgam of arms but his voice is so hot and he calls me names and his lips are so pale it makes me want to bite some red back into them help me. Like why is “foul tarnished” some horny sleeper agent activation phrase. The dragon head arm isnt a dealbreaker either. Someone send help.

Who was this man? Seems a bit of a cop-out to tie him in with the encroaching Night; it's more chilling to consider this man as just that: A Man... Who was he, I wonder? What motives did he have, if any, that led him to massacre the Northerncrofts?

We do not know... But that one brief moment, of looking up -- the last face you ever see is that of your killer.

And there are no horns. No claws, or a mouthfull of fangs...

The Killer was human. Nameless, faceless, and clad in shadow. But undeniably human. And far more terrifying than the Lord of Blood...

thinking about how the mt gelmir and redmane knight sets are just recolors of eachother. Thinking about how the only other portrait rykard has up in volcano manor aside from himself is radahn, no less the centerpiece in a room where loads of people gather. Thinking about the fire motifs and magic the redmanes use to fight the scarlet rot, and how rykard rediscovered magma sorceries and brought them into practical use. hm.

"Average demigod leaves behind 3 corpses" factoid actually just statistical error. Average demigod only has one body. Godwyn's cadaver surrogates, Malenia's offshoots, Miquella's two bodies' worth of discarded flesh, and whatever St Trina and Radagon are, ARE ALL OUTLIERS and should not have been counted.
