on the off chance there’s any parents who follow me who have kids moving back home/ college age kids who have graduated or are coming back from the summer, please attempt to be accommodating with the stuff that they are bringing to your house. yes it is your house, but once upon a time we might have had a room or part of a room there. we don’t like seeing our stuff everywhere either, we’re trying to build our own lives and being boxed up every 8 months or so does not help that. so if you could at least perhaps move around some things so that your kids have one corner or one small space to put there stuff in it would be appreciated, unless you want to look at a mattress topper in your living room for three months. and also, if you’ve asked your kids to go through the things they still have at your house, don’t make them keep things they don’t want. if you want it should be your responsibility not theirs

Micky is the first of the monkees to become an uncle in the early 70's, and im tellin you those kids are SPOILED ROTTEN when they visit him and the guys. his sister will drop off the kids at the pad for a little while just while she's too busy, and the boys spoil those kids so so much. they have four uncles who love them very much.

peter especially is so very good with children and loves to give lots of hugs and kisses and always has a kid on his shoulder .he loves to sit down with tyem and teach them arts and crafts

mike is mostly the safety department when the kids come over. two little toddlers walking around the pad can get into lots of trouble, either with musical equipment or even the stove. the pad isn't really childproofed since they don't have kids over often, so mike is always running around strwssed out grabbing the kids and pulling them away from things

Micky is the biggest spoiler of all as he ADORES his nieces. he's always giving them lots of snacks and sweet treats and mike has to tell him that stuff isn't good for them to have and their mother might get upset 😭 mickys also real rowdy and loves to encourage somewhat destructive play and only further stresses mike out

the kids always laugh at davy because he speaks differently from the rest of the guys 😭 he enjoys the kids though, even if they sometimes spill things on him. he and mike are always running around cleaning up dropped food or spilled juice. davy tries, in his very british way, to teach the girls to be proper, but they have dolenz blood in them, so they're crazy. one of them is definitely a beard yanker, so mike and peter have to be careful when holding her
