How fucked up in the head can you be to say something like "Barry losing his mom isn't such a big deal" and "he should get over it". Are you fucking okay. Are you aware of the words you type on your keyboard. Do you need me to beat some sense into you because I fucking will.

I’m going to be thinking about this
Tumblr media
One panel of comic for the next 8 years of my life
#Batman#Two-Face#batman gotham adventures#TwoBats#kind of???? Batman/Bruce loves him so much I can’t get over the innate tragedy and love of this relationship like you know what???#you know what’s ungodly good and fucked up???? that tragedy permeates every inch of Bruce and Harvey’s relationship more deeply than any#other element possibly could but one and the one thread thicker in the relationship’s entire being is love#it’s a tragedy it’s tragic but it is never /quite/ as fucked up and tragic and it is deeply deeply kind and sweet and full of love and the#kind of hope that only exists at all because of it. the way Bruce in BtAS immediately starts reading books on the disorder before he even#sees him again? the letting himself almsot get shot to get through? Telltale finishing his bloody fight in the ruined front hall of his own#home by telling him ‘I still believe in Harvey Dent’. ?? The way movie The Long Halloween Bats doesn’t even know Harvey /super/ well by most#human standards but Bruce has literally no friends and never had except Alfred and Gordon so to him this is one of his closest friends and#that’s not a joke it’s real? when he spends the entire last third of part 2 desperately trying to help and telling everyone Harvey’s his#friend and needs help?? it’s real. when he tells Gilda ‘he was my friend and I failed him’? when he compromises his code in a massive way#for the first time and let’s someone get away with murders so Harvey can retain the one little piece of anything he still has which is#having protected the perosn he loves? it’s real. he means it. that’s his best friend.#they’re so *makes incomprehensible upset hand gestures*

aight ok now that i've watched ep 7 i see some folks are review bombing KTL on MDL bc of the Arab prince storyline,,,,,, what are our thoughts
#tv: king the land#king the land#lee junho#junho 2pm#im yoona#girls generation yoona#yoona snsd#anupam tripathi#kdrama#local gay watches KTL (and gets diabetes in the process).txt#local gay watches k-dramas.txt#as someone who is not Arab but who is currently in an interesting relationship with religion in general (and is incorporating#multiple practices into my daily life by extension/exploring/dabbling in Islam): is it a stereotype? kind of.#but people writing sh*t like 'this is an offense against Saudi Arabia and MBS' etc etc need to calm the f*ck down#first off MBS is a literal murderer and the Saudi government perpetuates human rights abuses but we're not going there today#the prince is not from SA i think someone said he's from the UAE. Dubai to be more specific + Islam wasn't even mentioned at all#and pls. pls don't get me started with the whole#'princes don't go to clubs'. do you know how many clubs there are in Dubai. do you know how many members of the Gulf royal families#have been caught up in drug scandals and affairs and sh*t. the worse person you could hold up as a supposed standard#for Islamic values and then get mad when people point that out are these folks#he's not even getting drunk in public. he's not even drunk at all ffs he's technically abiding by the decorum#that one would have to have if they were drinking in Dubai so as not to get picked up by the authorities.#and yes i treat SA and the entirety of Europe the same when it comes to the history of abuse and religious extremism#all while claiming to hold up a higher standard. there is hypocrisy in every religious community and they are not excluded#anyway i brought this specific ep up with a friend (Arab Muslim) and they said that the vibe they got from this was Samir and Won#studied together in the UK (obviously) and now he's in Korea and basically having the time of his life teasing Won#but in the end they're meant to reflect each other. he's a more spoiled richer version of Won basically sksksksk#ofc people are getting up in arms bc stereotypes and sh*t and i'm not about to tell you how to feel about it#but don't go spreading misinformation#idk maybe by the end of this feature they'll be best friends. i really hope they will they have such a good frenemy thing going on rn

From the moment Gale said that the Crown of Karsus could allow someone to ascend as a god, I was like... does that mean it could also kill a god? Maybe? Maybe even three gods? 👉👈😳
And I really wish there was a dialogue option where I could at least put the idea out there.

men never had to live thru middle school 2016 listening to all ur male peers and acquaintances and friends start talking about how they hope every woman in power gets beheaded and how they think women are inherently lesser and calling women “bitches” on the reg and saying how they’d rape and murder Hillary if they could (“leave her out back still full of cum dissected and shit”) and claiming it would be “deserved”.
and it shows.

Hogwarts honestly needed a program for the gifted children because it's shown through time that they need to be kept occupied or they'll find their own chaos (Tom Riddle, The Marauders, Snape, The Weasley Twins, Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger)
no but fr. some kids need to be intellectually stimulated or they’ll go round the bend.
but also, on a funnier note, i love how almost every one of these kids were driven to (accidental or deliberate) murder lmao
tom- well. do i even need to say anything?
the marauders- sadly, the prank. also, their shenanigans on full moons.
weasley twins- literally experimenting on kids & themselves. stuffed montague in a vanishing cabinets. i know there’s more but i can’t remember.
draco- the entire sixth year. (which yeah ik extenuating circumstances but still). also just him generally being a little shit
hermione- my god. that girl literally needed The Most. she set a teacher on fire, imprisoned and blackmailed a grown woman, permanently disfigured a classmate, and erased her parents’ entire memory. i mean,,,good on her for all that (def not criticising) but she would’ve really benefitted from a gifted kids program ykno?
snape- a whole death eater lmao maybe if he’d gotten a grant and some resources, he could’ve gotten tf away from all that nonsense.
imagine them in gifted kid programs—they could’ve probably revolutionised the wizarding world multiple times over

i think y'all's main problem is that you expect good, consistent writing from fucking warrior cats. like why are you doing that you're making things worse for yourselves.
#me? i never expect anything from wc and as such am never disappointed#its trash even by middle grade standards#like.. hating bramblestar makes sense bc his behavior toward squilf:#(1) stays consisent. he treated her the same back in tnp as he does now. a rare trait among wc characters ngl#(2) is never addressed. how he treats her is never called out as being particularly shitty.#sometimes an individual action will have ppl be like 'aw bramblestar that was a little mean :-/' but how he treats her in general is not#therefore it makes sense to hate him as a character#meanwhile basically any other character (other than one-offs like appledusk) that ppl try to compare to bramblestar#in order to make their dislike of them 'correct' and bully ppl who like that character#just falls flat bc they are not the same in a lore sense or a meta sense as bramblestar#imo the ONLY other character you can compare to bramblestar in being 'justified' in your hate of him#is breezepelt#bc he's a bad character in a lore sense (as in he is a bad person in canon like straight up evil)#but ALSO bad in a character sense (switches entire personality within arcs and suddenly he was good all along)#but even that its like. not as much as bramblestar you know?'#like bc no ones going to get the sense that murder is okay bc we ignored breezepelt's actions#but bramblestar's treatment of his wife can and will have real life effects on impressionable middle schoolers#and at this point its like the majority of the entire saga he's been treating her like shit#and not just one or two arcs where his character is different#its more similar to just standard bad wc writing than a bramblestar situation#x speaks#warriors#warrior cats#wc#thinking about when i got called homophobic for (1) not shipping mothpool and (2) kinda liking leafcrow#as if im not literally a lesbian

'Kris being an outcast who likes freaking people out means they must be a Bad Person™️ and thus taking their free will and piloting them like a puppet is actually Good™️ morally speaking'
How about I eat your skin how bout that
#the lack of nuance people address Kris with makes me want to bite things every day#also they are LITERALLY A TEENAGER who as far as we know is JUST A BIT WEIRD#tho I think part of it may be a purposeful commentary on how we treat characters vs real people even in a story we buy in2 very genuinely#bc certain traits both behavioral and physical- when observed in the context of a story- set Villain Flags mentally#whereas irl the same actions or things would be considered (fairly) innocuous#or at least not judged on such a concious unabashed definite level#I think its similar with Berdly how every1 is like 'this bitch annoying can we please kill him'#and then in Snowgrave you fucking DO- wish granted#but in-universe all you've done is fucking murder a teenager whose biggest crime is being kind of obnoxious#even with a universe you're invested in and where you care a lot about the characters#your role as a player/observer taking on the identity of someone in that world- no matter how immersed you get-#is still fundamentally different from how things are viewed in-universe#because you are still reacting to things as you would a story while characters are applying the standards of what to them is real life#EVEN WHEN you buy into the fiction that the characters are meant to be concious beings who you the player r interacting with thru the game#not that this is necessarily a 'bad thing' but ut and it seems dr are works abt exploring our relationship to fiction and its characters#and about how much we think we empathize with them but also treat them in a way we'd never treat people#but yea the amount of ppl I see saying Kris is EEEEEEVIL bc they have red eyes and like knives and steal pie#and because they don't seem to want to stick to the script the story has laid out for them#and how them being EEEEEVIL or even just Not Vewy Nice :( makes taking over their body not AT LEAST morally questionable#is infuriating#maybe bc they don't want to deal w the fact that we as a player are participating directly in their suffering#if not the entire cause of it/the person its for in the first place#and like I get it that sucks and I feel bad thinking abt it too but I think thats kinda the point#the victim doesn't have to be perfect or likeable or even a good person for their suffering to matter and be fucked up#but that rationale is very commonly used in stories to dismiss/diminish/justify morally troubling actions#and tbh I think that one is used for how people treat real-life narratives as well to some degree#ok bye#Deltarune#kris dreemurr

i might be inclined to to give more credit to that “jgy tried to kill everyone at the burial mounds and he’s so evil” post if if the conclusion wasn’t so dumb, but more importantly, if op wasn’t the clown that also made that “jin guangyao is so manipulative he manipulated readers into liking him” take
