Tumblr media
As a concert manager, you must be running your events year after year. Exciting! This means that the last events went off with a bang, you received a great response from the attendees and had a great overall experience.
However, now that the past concert went out successfully, and you want to retain the event attendees forever, these are a few strategies that can help the attendees stay excited about your concerts and ready to come again the next time.
 1. Share the Best Moments of Past Events
2. Start Promoting Early
3. Sell Subscriptions and Memberships

Quodo Mini-fest IV announcement
Tumblr media
Coming soon (in January)… Every year, I run a low-pressure Quodo fanwork exchange in Jan/Feb. It's basically just an excuse to have a little explosion of Quodo fanwork goodness coiniciding with Valentine's Day. Sign-ups open January 1st 2024 on AO3 (I might open sign-ups earlier if people prefer that). But I just wanted to give people a heads up and get the word out! If you would like to participate, you will need an AO3 account.
Also, I just want to make a note about the fanwork minimums for this event. The last couple of years, I feel like the works for this fest have not been particularly "mini" (which is perfectly fine -- I love the effort!). However, I do want to remind people that the following are perfectly acceptable gifts for the purposes of this exchange: a 100-word drabble; a sketch/doodle; several icons or a single gif; a fanvid of any length. We're open to a lot of media and to a lot of different effort and skill levels. (No AI-generated works, though.)
If we end up with as many longer gifts this year as we got last year, I will likely stagger reveals over several days (rather than release everything on February 14th as I have done in the past) to give people time to browse the whole collection. Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Please reblog/signal boost! 😊

trying to assign instruments to gerudo characters for thralls' soundtrack. Nabooru is getting the sitar so far, as I think she's good at representing the gerudo side that's closer to the Wild Era in terms of long-term vision for gerudo prosperity, not to mention that it works great for a more laid-back character; though Iftaah could also get that aspect, even though her perspective is a little bit more desperate and a little less actually strategizing about diplomacy and commerce in the way that Nabooru's is... not sure I have nailed down the perfect instrument for her yet though? Maybe a duduk, for its plaintive quality and capacity for softness? But I don't know, I feel like there could be something better out there. Saeruk and flamenco guitar seem pretty great fit for the versatility of the instrument, both harsh and defiant, playful at times, but also extremely sad if needs be, and the fact that she represents more the "older" kind of gerudo works well with more hispanic/romany inspirations. And then there's Aveil, who I feel represent the best the connection of the gerudos to their land, and I'd love an instrument that really represents that. Still looking for that one.
There's a bunch of fun things for Ganondorf that can be done, but I think he'll get... bigger instruments, in general. And church organs are quite versatile too it turns out. :) I like the marimba from his first phase boss battle, but it's a little too... I don't know, I feel like it lacks the roundness and depth and imposing quality that we could get with other picks. But Ganondorf so far has about *eight billion* leitmotifs going on with what I have selected for him (him and Ganon's, as they are... not exactly separate entities in the story, but sort of, it's kind of weird), so it might be more a case of actual melody rather than instruments, or maybe on top of instruments that swap in and out depending on what we want to invoke...
Sorry, rambling, but I would really love to compensate for my lack of voice actors with a pretty meaningful stab at the soundtrack. I feel like I kind of have to honestly. ;;
#thoughts#thralls of power#animatic project#gerudos#nabooru#ganondorf#I need to upgrade my music software and stop using Logic 5.5 that came out in 2002 ;;#and gives me between 30mn to 2h before subjecting me to a coinflip about whether or not it corrups my savefile#never really had the material for a proper upgrade but I really want to make one and that seems the perfect opportunity for that#also yeah nabooru has kind of a big role in thralls!#she wasn't there at all in descant or just in passing#but she becomes kind of an important player in this version of the events#her antagonism with ganondorf is. definitively there let's say.#it's funny I actually kind of used descant as a brainstorming ground for thralls in many ways#as every single character arc is just whatever I began to sketch out in unhallowed vespers#but like More and More Deliberate and more focused too#there's a bunch of threads I completely cut out#so it won't be a perfect 1:1#which is for the best I think I just hadn't spent enough time with some characters to truly get them#I'm much more confident now#Iftaah is perhaps the one that needs the most work at the moment? she has a Bad Fucking Time so I need to make sure#it goes to places that not only serve other people's arcs but also her own --and that she ends the story in a meaningful place narratively#Serielle also needs work but more in the sense that's there's so much happening in her brain. and it's pretty difficult to convey.#but I fully know what's going on in there at least even if it's wildly convoluted#anyway!! rambling rambling sorry sorry#I am frustrated that I can't actually work on it so here I am rambling#ok back to work now

*getting out of bed stumbling* let's send the last couple gifts... (< Can barely open her eyes)
Also... I always forget how pretty it feels to gift things to others... Some have big reactions, some have smaller ones, but... Most of the time you get to see them happy, a small smile, a warm feeling.... That's beautiful... So beautiful
And Im still not used to the receiving gifts jajajaja and it's... So pretty... It's such a warm and gentle feeling but so so strong... "This was made for me, thinking about me" "this was chosen for me".... I'm... Heh...
Giving and receiving gifts is always so beautiful.... This is why I love Christmas, Valentine's, birthdays.... I'd love to actually bake everyone brownies... To give them little cards...
Also valentine's is so pretty because it's all about love! And at least where I live is literally called The Love and Friendship Day!!!! So I've always seen valentine's as a good day to show appreciation for friends ... *Happy sigh* I love Love
Jijiji as I was writing the notes, my brother knocked on my door and gave me a small cinnamoroll notepad and it's so cute... Such a cute day
Alr, now let's send those gifts

More Details Here -> Free Microsoft Training & Certs for Students
●~•────── Are Certifications Worth it? ───────•~●
What do ya wanna do & where are you at? Here's my grain of salt:
If you're an intern /new grad level, then even a fundamentals cert can be great to show proactive learning & make you standout with recruitors
If you're switching to a new role or want a promotion, getting certifications seem to be a decent way to meet those qualifications, backed with some professional years of experience
Of course, the TYPE of certification matters a lot. Generally certs that are more challenging to complete, are considered "Expert" or "Professional" level will be more valuable.
Do diligent research into what your field of interest is looking for, and if a cert would be useful. (Read reddit, hackernews, watch yt vids, linkedin, etc)
Certs are not necessary (uhh when it comes to swe. flying a plane is a different story). But if you see it often in job descriptions that you're interested in, consider it! From my impressions, if you're interested in cloud engineering, AWS certs seem pretty valued.
Certs can also be a negative if you have too many with no specialization or experience. Certs are great to enhance ur resume, but make sure to emphasize relevant experience too!
If you have any experience with certifications, please do share your experience!

Networking Events for Students: Making Connections That Count
Tumblr media
1. The Networking Dilemma 🤷‍♂️
Picture this: You walk into a room filled with suits, your heart starts racing, and suddenly you forget your own name. Classic networking anxiety, right? We’ve all been there. The struggle is real.
Solution: The Power of Preparation
Before the event, do a little stalking — LinkedIn stalking, that is. Know who’s who, what they’re into, and how your vibes might align. It’s like having a cheat code for small talk.
2. Icebreakers and Elevator Pitches
The dreaded “So, tell me about yourself” moment. Yikes! How do you condense your life story into a few sentences without sounding like a robot? It’s an art, not gonna lie.
Solution: Craft a Killer Elevator Pitch
Think of it like your Insta bio but for real life. Who you are, what you’re passionate about, and what you’re looking to achieve. Nail that, and you’ll slay every introduction.
3. Awkward Silence Strikes ⚡
The conversation hits a lull, and you’re desperately searching for something to say.
The awkwardness is palpable.
Solution: The Power of Curiosity
Ask questions! People love talking about themselves. Show genuine interest, and before you know it, the conversation will flow like it’s powered by Wi-Fi.
Ditch the event calendar scramble: Huzzle💚 puts campus events at your fingertips
Right, let’s get real, uni life throws enough curveballs at you without the stress of endless calendar checks and FOMO spirals!
We get it, uni students are busy. But that shouldn’t mean missing out on the fun! Between lectures, deadlines, part-time hustles, and trying to maintain a semblance of a social life, finding cool events on campus feels like hunting for a unicorn — mythical and frustrating.
Imagine this: you could ditch the endless scrolling, the missed opportunities, and the “damn, I wish I knew about that” moments.
Introducing Huzzle, the web/app that’s basically your uni BFF when it comes to events. It’s like having a built-in radar for all the good stuff happening around you, from guest lectures that’ll blow your mind to club nights that’ll make you forget about that looming essay (for a bit, at least).
Huzzle gets you. It knows you’re busy, it knows you have interests (even if they change faster than the weather), and it knows you don’t wanna miss out on the good times. So, here’s how it works:
Say goodbye to FOMO: Browse upcoming events by categories you actually care about — think “career boost,” “laugh attack guaranteed,” or “film * media.” Find something that tickles your fancy, and poof! No more feeling like you’re living under a rock.
Keywords are your new best friend: Can’t decide between that coding workshop and the Harry Potter trivia night? No worries, mate. Filter by keywords like “coding” or “Harry Potter” (duh) and let Huzzle do the hard work.
⚡ Register in a flash: Ditch the pen and paper faff. With Huzzle, registering for events is as easy as tapping a button. Boom, you’re in! More time for napping, pre-drinks, or whatever floats your boat.
So, are you ready to ditch the stress and unlock the full potential of your uni life? Checkout Huzzle, join the vibrant community, and start saying “yaassss” to the events that matter to you. ✨
P.S. Remember, a uni experience without a sprinkle of fun is like tea without the biccies. Don’t let FOMO steal your shine, mate. Huzzle it up!
Are you ready to level up your networking game and make connections that could shape your future? Let’s do this! 🚀🌟
