My phone updated itself and now the clock looks weird

Why are the hours and minutes stacked like that now? Why is that the default? Who asked for this change? I saw it a few hours ago when it was like 8:20 and I thought the calendar had messed up and it was somehow displaying the date as August 20th. I don't like this format, but I can't find any settings to change it back. I'm sick of tech company bullshit for a lot of big reasons, but the small reasons pile up too.

i'd say so. you can see out the camera connected to my computer, right? I programmed you so that any backups are the same stream of consciousness, as long as it works you should be the same. it's kinda like a hive mind, i guess. anyways, ready?

Asterisk presses a button, with a window confirming the sending of the update as a success. He moves the backup onto a flash drive and pulls it out, putting it somewhere.

cool. now, you might notice you're a little tired for the next few hours while it installs. past that, everything will be fine. now, hold still for a second while i put this fixture on...

Asterisk takes off the plate on the robot's head, and adds a new one with a part on it, attaching some wires to it.

now, it won't work 'till the update's done, but you can use the new part on that to attach a hat there and keep it there. can even change the hat if you want, leave the other ones in that box over there.

It seems that Zorin OS 17 finally fixed compatibility issues with a third-party Cirrus Audio driver that caused certain MacBook models to have no audio, so now my mid-2017 MacBook Pro 13-inch can have a modern, updating, OS that gets new features and active development.

Apple sold this laptop, new, until 2019 (which is when I bought mine, none-the-wiser), and they discontinued support in 2023 with the release of macOS Sonoma 14. I'll be damned if I let a 4-year-old laptop get turned into eWaste, though.

I had previously wiped the SSD and installed Windows 11 because of the aforementioned issues with the audio drivers. Now that I can have audio, though, this computer lives on as Linux machine, as it's 2011 15-inch counterpart does.

The Main Machine has been fundamentally changed by AC6, it’s odd but it is happy.

The breakdown is something like:

The machine is both an old computer, a mech, and the pilot of the mech.

Still all one ‘core’ but this probably means new post varieties! Here are the names to be used:

Computer - Any! As long as I know that’s what you use to refer to me, Go wild :)

Mech - Exclusively 621.

Pilot - PANIC, Cooper, Bandit!
