12. My last night out in detail.

Why am I not surprised that you picked this one, Godrah...

Well my last night out was the day after the Jessie and the Toy Boys/ Nicki Minaj/ Britney Spears concert. I just have to mention that because it's way cooler than what actually happened the night after. 

My mother bought my dad tickets for the three of us to go to the fair and see the Charlie Daniels Band. So I was shit tired because I had only gotten four hours of sleep after driving for eight and standing for about five. And this place was just. Ugh. Typical for the area I live in.

Everybody was drinking beer which was disgusting. And there was SO MUCH BEER. And so many people who were just... Scary. I'm not so into country music, and the bass drums had Osama bin Laden's face on it with target crosses on them. 

JUST UGH. 

I love how shit this was. lol. I should've been drunk.

On Sunday, October 27, 2019, a gathering of 50 muslims from both San Diego and Tijuana through the Latina Musulmana Fundación came to pray at the Playas de Tijuana Wall that divides the U.S. and Mexico. On Sundays the Border Church gathers on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border on the San Diego-Tijuana area in Friendship Park and at the fence of Playas de Tijuana. Tijuana’s first Muslim refugee shelter opened on Saturday, June 11, 2022. The two-story hostel is located in the Zona Norte area, very close to the border wall that divides Mexico and the United States. The 8,000-square-foot shelter has the capacity to serve up to 150 people arriving at the border seeking asylum. It currently houses 30 people. — The hostel and mosque was built in a space that was previously used for parties and gatherings. Guests and refugees from Tijuana’s only-Muslim shelter pray to Allah in celebration of its opening. The building will serve as a place of worship as well as support for those staying in its facilities. In the Muslim shelter there are people from Kenya, Ghana, Russia and Afghanistan, among others. — A sign when entering to the shelter’s facilities is written in Arabic, as refugees take a tour of the new facility, there is a verse from the Islamic holy book, the Koran: "He testified that there is no god other than Allah, and he testified that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah."
