So how would Giovanni from the Twins au deal with everything that happens on the 2012 side of Lost But Never Found.

Short Answer not great

Ok so the story begins post season 5, after Giovanni leaves to travel the world.

Well one day he gets an urgent call from Raph, asking him to come home early from his traveling.

The reason why shocks him.

Leo has gone missing.

Which is both concerning and unusual considering that the city was at peace. Most of the action was just petty crime, not alien invasions or deadly feuds between clans.

Most of their villains were gone, either defeated or having since abandoned their evil ways.

So this is definitely out of the blue.

Giovanni returns home as quick as he can, when he enters the lair he doesnt even stay for two minutes before the now four turtles are all riding in the shellraiser, looking for their older brother.

They search the entire city, every single old Kraang hideout, Foot Clan base, everything. Not a single trace of Leo.

But they've only been searching for a few hours! They'll find him.

Hours turn into days.

Days turn into weeks.

Weeks turn into months.

Not a single trace of Leo.

Its like he just disappeared into thin air.

By the time they are four months into the search it becomes apparent that Van has more or less become the defacto leader, he was the next oldest after all. And god is he struggling. He's the medic, not the leader that was always Leo's thing. Making all the important decisions, all three of his younger brother looking to him for answers.

Its hard.

It is also around this time that Donnie makes a horrible statement, that causes one of the biggest fights between the Hamato brothers to date.

"We most likely aren't going to find Leo...and if we do he more than likely wont be alive."

It is Van that speaks first. Well speaks isnt the right word...screams is more like it.

"How can you say that?" Raph and Mikey shout similar responses, and the fight begins.

Deep down Van knows that Donnie is right, they had no leads for months, nothing to work with. Nothing indicating that Leo could still be alive. Hell the odds of finding most missing persons goes down drastically after the first twenty four hours.

Doesn't make it hurt any less. Because no Leo has to be alive. He's survived the worst the universe threw at him, just disappearing and gone forever was so out of pocket, so unbelievably unLeo that it couldn't be true.

And hearing his younger say that made Van's blood boil.

It ended in a screaming match between the four of them, some horrible words were thrown around until the four brothers were all hoarse, faces streaked with tears.

(Little did anyone know that the very next day, in another dimension, Indigo met a certain Red Eared Slider looking for a portal coin)

None of the four Hamato brothers spoke to each other for almost two weeks.

Van took the shellraiser out with Raph every single night, searching for his twin. He barely slept, barely ate, just kept searching and searching.

As the medic he knew it was destroying him, but he didn't care. He would find Leo or die trying.

Everyone kept searching, even asking Renet and the 1987 turtles to help in the search.

But no Leo to be found.

As the months dragged on, Van became the peacekeeper for the many more fights that kept happening between his younger brothers, trying to keep the family together.

But they were all terrified, and they were hurting...so they took that fear and that pain out on each other, saying things they didn't mean and screaming till it hurt.

Eventually, now seven months since Leo disappeared, Giovanni called a meeting.

They couldn't keep doing this anymore. They were all exhausted, they had NOTHING, and they were tearing each other apart.

"Leo wouldn't want us to destroy ourselves like this...all we can do now is try to move on and add his photo to the family shrine." Van's voice was so quiet, so emotionless and so drained. Tears rolled down his cheeks, god he didn't want to do this...

Raph looks pissed off, but that was expected. He was just reluctant to admit that Leo might be gone as Van was.

Donnie was trying not to cry, he knew this was coming at some point.

Surprisingly Mikey doesnt react at all. He just walks over.

And slaps Giovanni across the face, hard.

"How can you say that? How can you just give up on Leo? Our big brother? Your twin! How could you?" Mikey angrily sobs, sparking the second biggest fight since Leo disappeared.

Hours later they are all laying in a turtle pile, Leo's picture added to the shrine while his brothers sobbed and wailed like small children.

The small children that lost their father and now lost their big brother.

A headstone is erected next to Splinter's at the farmhouse. Though it feels hollow since there was no body, no ashes. Nothing.

Giovanni doesnt move from that spot in front of his twin's headstone, even when its pouring down rain.

Good. It hides the tears gushing from his eyes.

Was this his fault? Because he left the family? He came back several times after his travels! He did! And he couldn't stay, Leo knew that. After Splinter's death he felt suffocated, the feeling like he didn't belong in this family becoming so much more apparent.

So he traveled the world, he wasn't meant for the Hamato Lifestyle! He was happier on his travels!

But what if he stayed? If he stayed then maybe Leo would still be here. Was it not enough that they had to lose their father but their big brother too?

"Leo...please if somehow you are still alive give us, give me a sign!" Van whispers, choking on his own tears. "Please just give us something! We'll bring you home I promise! I wont leave again I swear...just give us something to work with." No response but who was Van kidding.

"But if you're...really...then I hope you and father are together. I'm so sorry Leo..." Eventually Raph joins Van at the headstone, holding his older brother while they both mourned their brother in blue.

However that changes when two months later, the four turtles are zapped into a different dimension. Van wakes up first, looking around at alternate versions of his family, when his eyes lock on an oh so familiar looking face that he can't believe it.

There is a fifth turtle among the counterparts, stockier with three toes instead of two, covered in so many scars and wearing an Indigo colored mask. But its him!

Its Leo!

Van scrambles to his feet, sprinting over to his twin before anyone can stop him, even shoving one of the alternate turtles to the floor in the process. He scoops Leo into a bone crushing hug, sobbing into his shoulder.

The others soon join in, the five turtles falling to the floor from the force. Even when Leo tries to squirm away at first, Van just squeezes him tighter. Eventually Van pulls away to actually get a good look at his twin, his heart jumping to his throat at the sight.

So many new scars, new cracks and chips on his plastron, a metal shell on his back.

The jagged, slash marks on his face. The anxiety and exhaustion clear in his eyes. The guilt...the fear... the shame, Van can see it all.

"Leo what happened to you?" Van asks timidly, almost afraid of the answer he would get.

His twin doesn't answer, in fact he looks away, trying to avoid everyone's gazes.

"You ok Indigo?" A red eared slider asks, Leo actually responding to the name.

Leo...or is it Indigo...gulps, trying to make himself look so small.

Eventually he explains everything, from being forced to fight in the Battle Nexus, his rescue, the defeat of the Shredder and how he got his memories back.

That was another thing, Leo forgot EVERYTHING. His family, his life, his name...

All because of Big Mama.

Later that night when the kids and Leo were asleep, Van gathered his three younger brothers.

All four were wearing black masks.

Big Mama put his brother, his twin through so much shit...oh hell no.

Giovanni is not going to let that slide.

None of them are.

What Big Mama did might as well be a declaration of war.

She is going down, and Giovanni is going to make her suffer.

Ah yes, season 5

Tigerclaw gets a cult and summons a demon to revive The Shredder (Heart of Evil was fun, Donnie almost murders a man). Customary tmnt crossover with Usagi. Turtle Tots episode/mutation backstory. Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse (Donbot!). Renet becomes relevant and the boys fight monsters (like Dracula - Raph and Donnie become vampires for a bit lol). Crossover episodes with the 1987 turtles.

Around 3 episodes for each arc. There's a new intro. It's chaos. There's a reason I'm ignoring season 5 for the same raph au.

Anyway there's a brief summary of season 5. It was very draining to binge. It was A Lot.

💵: How do your turtles make money? Or do they only scavenge? Raph just keeps asking Casey for money and Casey just keeps giving him money eventually however Casey later catches on to this and gives Raph a job at his dad’s rebuilt store that Casey started running after his dad’s death

“(most of) those things” ...I am mildly afraid to ask but when you say “most of” what were the things he COULDN’T have easily handled?

I mean, Jei was definitely a nightmare, and Ronin had no way to know that he wouldn't be able to take Usagi's body in the new timeline. What happens with Savanti and then Simultaneous is also drastically different because Ronin wasn't able to handle them (hint: Renet kills and then basically cannibalizes them for power), the Hidden City being revealed went down drastically differently since Draxum died and no one thought to maintain the spell instead of it being taken down (hint: it was a catastrophe that unleashed a horde of shadow monsters), and FHC and my Danny Phantom AU do happen in the same universe, which means that Danny's evil future self who was singlehandedly responsible for destroying the world in canon was also something he had to contend with. Also, on a somewhat more benign note: Karai finds and kills Habiki in that timeline and leaves the Hamato clan to contend with a succession crisis, allowing the Foot to run rampant for a while.

Congrats on writing the final chapter for Courting a Salamandarian! Now all we have left for it is the epilogue (which believe me, I am excited for), what plans do you have for future fics? I imagine Turtles in the Roaring 20's is going to get more attention, but do you have plans of writing any other fanfics as of right now? Again, great job on your writing, and congrats!!!

Thank you! It's pretty exciting knowing I completed my very first fanfic! I basically wrote a book! lol It's so incredible yet also sad to see this story I've worked on for 4 1/2 years coming to an end. This fanfic is my baby and now it's all grow up <3

As for what is next, yes, Turtles In The Roaring 20's will be getting more attention now. More chapters will be coming out sooner than before, and this fanfic will most likely be my primary focus from now on.

I'd also like to write more short oneshots of RaMona and other TMNT 2012 characters if possible. I have a few rough drafts already that I wanna finish up and publish hopefully soon.

I'm also planning on starting two new fanfics! Either start both of them at the same time and work on them back to back, or start one now and do another one later. I'll just have to see how I feel. They are my When Worlds Collide Rewrite and also my Mistress Millennium (Evil Renet AU).

Why does the 2012 fandom overlook how fucking powerful Renet is with the weapon she carries?

Renet is a kind, sweet, bubbly person and she wields the most powerful weapon in the entire TMNT universe, a staff that grants her the power to alter time, fly, travel though time, create time loops, and even bend reality itself.

The Turtles should appreciate and respect Renet more cause if she wanted to, she could make the Turtles no longer exist in a blink of an eye. They are lucky she’s on their side and the Time Scepter is not in the wrong hands.

Like I said before, I'm sure we would all like to see slash there instead of karai, more about the story of commander g'throkka with the neutralizer and even rapha with the powers, I think it would be more interesting to see rapha with the powers than mikey (it's not hate Mikey, but I feel like I would have liked Rapha and Mona to have more prominence in those chapters) and seeing Mona's temperament up close would be a dream (I feel like she may have a stronger but controlled temperament) I also want to see friendship between her and April

Who said I haven’t started working on it? Lol

I’ve been holding off writing the When Worlds Collide Rewrite mainly because I was putting all my time and focus on finishing my RaMona fanfic Courting a Salamandrian (plus also personal things have been going on in my life).

I didn’t want to add another fanfic I started but have no time to write to the list. I’m already balancing two and I didn’t want to overwhelm myself. And I’d hate to do that to my readers, having them to wait so long for updates on their favorite fanfic because I’m more focused on the others, you know?

But now that Courting a Salamandrian is almost complete, I’m planning on starting to work on a new fanfic and When Worlds Collide Rewritten is one of the many candidates.

Every single TMNT 2012 AU I have (so far):

Turtles In The Roaring 20s - In 1923, Splinter is the proud owner of the most popular underground jazz club in New York, with his four sons being the stars. However there’s family drama going on backstage.

Mission Failed - The Turtles and friends failed their 6 month mission to save the Earth from the Triceratons. 10 years later, the team as split up going their separate ways but are all still haunted by their biggest failure.

Mistress Millennium - I don’t really know if this counts as an AU, it’s just a “what if Renet became a villain?” story.

Salamandrian April AU - April gets captured by the Kraang as a child but it rescued by Sal Commander. To hide her from the Kraang, April grows up on Salamandria along side Mona Lisa where they train together and become like sisters.

Future AU - The Turtles and their friends are now all grown up. Some are married, some have kids of their own and others have successful careers/lives. The story follows their adulthood while also preparing the next generation of the Hamato Clan.

Princess Bride AU - When Kintaro is stuck in bed sick his friend Usagil decides to visit and read him a story about adventure, action, miracles, and true love between a turtle and a lizard.

Actor AU - It’s all a TV show in their world and everyone are just actors. Fun stuff happens behind the scenes when filming TMNT.

Medieval AU - Splinter is the King of the Hamato Kingdom. The Turtles and Miwa are the prince/princess of the kingdom. After Splinter mysteriously dies and Miwa missing, Leo must find a wife and prepare to become king within a year.

Mazes & Mutants - The roleplaying game is now real! A world of fantasy and adventure as the Turtles and friends travel the land, exploring and fighting evil beasts.

Teenage Mutant Monster Turtles - Everyone is a monster (Leo a mummy, Raph a vampire, Mikey a werewolf, Donnie Frankenstein’s Monster etc), hijinx ensue.

Robin Hood AU - Raphael and Slash are the iconic duo of Robin Hood and Little John, robbing from the rich and giving to the poor, rebelling against the wick Sharif, Tiger Claw, and the greedy Prince Newtrailzer.

Human/High School AU - The title is self explanatory. Leo is class president and Mr Popular, Raph is a troublemaking jock, Donnie is a straight A student and tutors his classmates, and Mikey is a class clown.

Childhood AU - The Turtles and all their friends are kids having a big playdate together.

Greek Gods AU - Everyone is their own take on the Greek Gods, but with their own twists. (Ex: Splinter is Zeus but he is NOT a chatting scumbag)

What are your headcannons for each of the TMNT 2012 gang if they went nuts? I feel like Leo would go the craziest but only because he's super tightly wound and under a lot of pressure, but what are your thoughts on the rest?

If we’re talking about the likelihood of who I think would turn evil I’d say Donnie has the highest chance (he nearly killed a man in S5, I think that is self-explanatory), followed by Leo (push him just enough and put so much stress/expectations on him and he is soon to snap), then Raph (the boy has a lot of issues and emotions that can be manipulated if done right)and finally Mikey (There’s so many fanfics that you can read of Mikey turning evil). How they turn evil all depends on their treatment taken from others, their build up/the moment they crack or are manipulated into being evil, and their mental state. 

After April got her crystal, I’d say she had the highest chance of anyone of going nuts, making me kind of wish they expanded the dark Phoenix April story arc into it being the second half of S4 plot and it being the S4 finale instead.

Now if we’re talking side characters, I always had a AU/fanfic idea where Renet goes nuts and becomes an evil time controlling dictator. I called her Mistress Millennium and you can probably find some of my old posts about the concept on my blog.

Alternate TMNT 2012 AU where everything is the same except the turtles are scared shitless of Renet because this bubbly girl wields a powerful device that controls time and bends reality itself and if she pleases, or if they do or say the wrong thing to her, she could make them no longer exist with the snap of her fingers.

I removed the cracks on her face (decided it was too much but over time the cracks would appear), and I also added more detail to her outfit and changed up her head gear cause I didn’t like how it was looking before.

Evil!Renet AU

I mention in this post and this one about an AU I made where Renet gets corrupted and turns evil. Well, here’s my drawing of her.

Her cute brown eyes are gone and now her eyes are black with blue pupils, her skin is more pale, and her face is cracking because the Time Scepter is breaking and is using her energy to work.

I don’t really have any name ideas, only one and I was thinking of calling her Mistress Millennium, but what do you guys think??
