As the women continued to trade comments of increasing absurdity (and vulgarity) the doctor slumped more fully into his seat. Vacant-eyed and totally done he bypassed his glass, choosing instead to take a long pull straight from the bottle; the hooch that Cass brewed was always good for a blackout if nothing else.

“I hate you all,” he muttered once the burning in his throat finally receded.

“Nah, you don’t, not really,” Roxy told him as she leaned over in her seat to pat at his cheek. “We’re like the sisters you never had and didn’t really want but once your parents brought us back from the hospital you were like ‘Well I guess!’”

And with that he could only agree.

Dear straights who aren't allies...

Someone I know in real life just told me that it's unfair for the lgbtq+ community to exclude the straights.

Now, I won't hold back on this.

It's bad enough that some take the "A" only as Ally and not as Aro/Ace/Agender (or Aspec), and now this?

Straights who aren't allies constantly torment lgbtq+ people. They forbid us from getting married, adopting children or having some of our own. They make us feel scared of holding hands in public- for fear to be shot dead for who we are. They make us leave our homes and randomly accuse us of carrying and spreading diseases. There are literal laws againts being part of the lgbtq+. Yes, against.

Let's take a look at this, shall we?

After this, those cishets are still offended because the lgbtq+ community is "excluding" them. And that's a lie.

The healthy part of lgbtq+ has never excluded anyone. I specify healthy because some in the community are aro/ace exclusionists, or part of the neo-fascist group called "lgb community", or transophobes, biphobes, homophobes etc. And they can kindly fuck off.

But there is literally no part in the healthy lgbtq+ community that excludes straights. There isn't a group that goes around claiming that straights are bad, there aren't political and/or religious cults who kill the straights to purify the world, there aren't lgbtq+ people trying to talk children out of being cishet.

Nobody has ever been killed for being straight. Nobody has ever organized literal protests against straight people. Nobody has yelled at a straight couple in the street (unless one of the two members is a trans man or a trans woman identifying as straight) or even beat them, to death sometimes.

So, seriously, what are you even talking about? This is pathetic. This is just straights wanting to have control over everything, AS USUAL.

Allies are appreciated and welcomed. We need them, love is love and we love allies deeply.

Generalizing is bad, and I know and I'm glad that not all straights are against lgbtq+ people, luckily. I appreciate allies immensely, every lgbtq+ person should do it because we all have to collaborate.

(Also, being not against lgbtq+ is not being an ally, but that's not the main focus of this post.)

To those straights who are "offended": stop acting like we are excluding you and start working on how to stop others from excluding us. Become allies and learn respect and acceptance. Be decent humans. Thank you.

Your way of explaining the issues with anti stances is remarkable and your knack of leaving out biasly charged or persecutional language from your posts is awesome. I think it could help a lot of antis understand their behavior. Do you have any posts sort of geared towards antis that could help to break down their behavior and the way they may internally fuel their performative activism?

While it’s highly likely that some - perhaps many - militant fandom anti-shippers have doubts about their ideological outlook & social circles, and that those doubts can/will pry them free from anti communities ... they have to go through that self-discovery process on their own terms. They have to internally acknowledge their doubts and become open to other ideas before they’ll hear you out.

Until then: unless you are already a fellow militant anti-shipper and a trusted source of information, anything you say or do that doesn’t support an anti-shipper worldview will be discarded. Anything you say or do that directly challenges their worldview will be met instantly with hostility and rejection. Not even a second of consideration will be given to the information you’re trying to present.

it’s not uncommon for people to have a hard time engaging, much less accepting, information that challenges their beliefs, values, or opinions. However, people who are locked into radicalized belief systems - white supremacists/nationalists, radfems & sugroups TERFs/TWERFs/SWERFs, fundamentalist Christians and/or Islamists, LGBTQI+ gatekeepers/exclusionists, etc - find it nearly impossible. 

Because their ideological systems/worldviews depend on a distorted understanding of reality that is often self-contradictory and absurd, radicalized people groom one another to reject all outsider voices. ‘they are the enemy. they are trying to tear us apart. they are trying to trick us. they’re lying to hurt us.’ and this rejection of outsider voices is strongly reinforced by the ultimate fear: rejection from the radicalized group. ‘their words are poison: if you give their words even a moment’s consideration, it might taint you, separating you from the elites who know the truth. We’ll have to throw you out to protect the rest of us.’

That fear - fear of taint, of losing favor with their tight-knit community, of having been wrong for who-knows-how-long - is a powerful motivator to never ever ever give The Enemy an ear. and it must be maintained, because the likelihood of deprogramming and departure from the radicalized in-group is high when outside information is finally consumed and accepted.  That’s what happens when your entire worldview is based on lies that crumble in the face of reality.

militant fandom anti-shippers are generally swerfs-in-training, though their ideals are directed solely at fiction and cross frequently into straightforward puritan-with-a-gay-hat concepts. I don’t include them above because their ideology isn’t standardized or very original. However, their approach to outside information - especially outside information from a source like ‘a blog named ‘freedom-of-fanfic’ - is very similar to that of a radicalized group: reject it immediately, because to do otherwise is to risk rejection from the anti-shipping community.

This is why I say that while I honestly believe you’re hoping to help anti-shippers stop being anti-shippers, when these communities are so often destructive & coercive, you’re not going to get very far by linking them to me and asking them to read it. being asked to consume outsider information is viewed as an attack, no matter how kindly it’s meant. what are you trying to do, turn them against their real friends??

there are, however, two exceptions:

exception 1: mockery fodder

1) be a trusted member of the anti-shipping community yourself

2) link to posts debunking ‘anti-shipping’ for the purpose of mockery.

if the context of the link isn’t ‘educate yourself’ but rather ‘look at this moron’, militant fandom anti-shippers will feel ‘safe’ reading information that contradicts them. communal mocking of the content is itself a form of bonding among the radicalized group. but if there are any fandom anti-shippers who are starting to acknowledge their doubts to themselves but still participate in anti-shipping community spaces, this may be a way for them to slowly expose themselves to outside ideas.

exception 2: being the open ear for doubters

1) be willing to hear anti-shippers out if they come at you with genuine questions

2) provide links to posts debunking ‘anti-shipping’ if you’re asked for them.

like I said at the beginning of this post: people who subscribe to anti-shipping ideologies/worldviews will have to decide they’re not sure they’re into it/they want to get other points of view before they can be changed by that information. and that’s a hard process for anyone, much less radicalized people who have a lot staked on their radical group’s worldview being the right one.

the information on my blog isn’t aimed at ‘active’ fandom policers of the anti-shipping variety because generally speaking, they’re rarely interested in contradictory information in their current mental state. But by leaving the information I have about how anti-shipping hurts people, how it’s self-destructive, how its arguments are self-contradictory & self-justifying, how it’s rooted in authoritarian worldviews, etc simply out there - making it easy to find and (hopefully) easy to consume - fandom policers who are ready to consider changing can find it on their own time and consume it on their own terms.

I believe honesty and truth is freeing. but reality tends to keep well, and can be consumed as early or as late as any one person will accept it. :)

I'm fucking sick of the flag discourse. Do you have any idea how long trans people went without seeing our flag in merch? Let alone ace or other "less popular" identities?? And now we have smalltime queer creators making flag posts of their own identities and getting bitched out for leaving out a flag that often they have no reason to include (smalltime trans and queer creators often create flags for their own and friends' identities, and disseminate them FOR FREE). There is no hierarchy. The argument "we're the first letter of the acronym!!!" is bullshit. There is no hierarchy, and what is *always* meant by this is "why did you include x identity but not lesbians?!" These posts are almost always posted by exclusionists and transmeds, and it's really fucking shitty and i'm sick of it. If you want lesbian merch, i'm gonna tell you what cis gays and lesbians told trans and other queer people for the longest time: make it yourself. I'll be reopening asks, but anon and submissions will still be closed. But I think my followers deserve to know what happened, seeing as I didn't actually say much publicly as it was happening. Trigger warning for suicidal ideation, self hatred, aphobia and transphobia and for mentions of molestation and pedophilia It started when I made a throwaway vent/do not reblog post about something I saw when trying to find a user. It was about lgbta+ issues and wasn't even tagged other than my vent and personal tag along with the previously mentioned do not reblog. Someone reblogged it, screen shotted my description and "called out" my use of the word queer when in the phrase "queerplatonic partner" as me using a slur. I privated then eventually deleted the post and thought it was done with. A few days later, a friend of mine reblogged my coming out post with positivity and encouragement. They also used the word queer. And I think that's what started it. The next day my notes were flooded with exclusionists calling me a cishet or straightie, calling me a joke and calling me out for using the word queer. At this time, I had been put on antidepressants after being officially diagnosed. The doctor had said that the pills might cause severe suicidal ideation, and that's unfortunately what happened as I saw all these people who quite literally despised me. For most of the rest of that day, I was attempting to block every exclusionist and fight the constant urge to end my life. My paranoia increased and I kept imagining how these people would come to attack me in real life. It was hard, but with the help of friends, I was able to keep stable enough not to hurt myself. My qpp had to deal with people sending hate their way for defending me. In the end, I had to delete my coming out post for my mental health. I closed my ask box and submissions, even made it so only blogs who followed me could send me pms. Ever since then, I've had at least one suicidal thought a day. My self hatred slowly got worse. And then that stupid thing about defining trans people out of existence happened, and my suicidal thoughts got worse, because I was so scared for my qpp and was having trouble finding a reason to continue if everything would end up going to shit in the end. And I felt worse that my shit mental state meant I would have trouble being there for them without having a mental breakdown. And I feel like I can't turn to the people I care about, because their problems are so much bigger than mine. And I'm sure there are exclusionists just stalking my blog, looking for the tiniest thing to turn on me. Looking for my public breakdown post as a sign of victory against me, a way to prove that they won when I deleted and went radio silent and buried myself away from their disapproval. I get it, ok? You hate me, dispise the fact I even exist. I hope you're happy, having caused someone to go so far past ok that she contemplated, repeatedly, on how to end it all. I'm not perfect, but before you buried me in hatred I was honestly trying to improve. To be a better person and to improve my mental health. And now, because you people wouldn't leave me the FUCK alone, I'm wondering why I should. I hope you all enjoyed the laugh you had at my expense. It wasn't like i was recovering from telling my mother about the fact a super close family friend fucking MOLESTED me repeatedly as a teen, only for her to turn it on me like it was my fault in part that a man 4 times my age was allowed to touch me. Oh wait.... I was I hope you all enjoyed crushing what little pride and happiness I had in finally accept myself for who I was. I hope you're proud that you destroyed the slight happiness and hope I had when I thought my mental state was finally, for once in my life , going to be better. I get that you hate me. GUIDELINES

By default, none of the muses here are are connected to each other (the one exception being Funtime Freddy/Molten Freddy, as they are the same muse in different time frames; possibly Bendy and Alice Angel, who share verses; Brown and Pink who can coexist in the same settings but it’s not mandatorily so; and Bea and Kitty who are supposed to be a “dynamic duo” though either can be written independently as well; Kiki, Technum and Spectrum share the same origins, with Technum and Spectrum being identical twins, with Kiki and the twins together separated in different dimensions.)

RULES

I know it may look like a lot of rules but I mostly separate them to make reading easier to your eyes, so don’t be discouraged by the numbers! If you still have any doubts after reading them, feel free to message me.

1. Mun is 21+ but regardless try to keep content PG-13. Sexual content will not be here and sexual asks won’t be answered. Some of the muses are kids or underage, let’s not be gross, yeah? Some NSFW jokes lightly brushed or just hinted to help writing once in a while is okay so long it doesn’t escalate or anything.

2. There may be dark themes, such as horror, body horror, possibly gore, traumatic events, traffic/car accidents, mentions/implications of satanism/dark magic and child abuse/harm/death. I will try to keep everything properly tagged and/or kept under a read more. Viewer discretion is still advised, and please let me know if I forgot to tag something.

3. Do not interact if you’re racist, anti-LGBT+, TERF/SWERF, TRUSCUM, MAP, etc. Keep your exclusionist bull off my lawn!

4. IC =/= OOC, and Muse =/= Mun. No godmodding, killing muse without warning or permission or plotting beforehand. Basic RP etiquette.

5. Muse, motivation, energy and inspiration are very finicky cryptids, meaning it can affect activity unpredictably. Please be patient, if I owe a reply I will deliver it soon or later. If I need to drop a thread I’ll try to let you know, and likewise please let me know if you want to drop it, I won’t be mad. Doesn’t stop us from trying another new thread!

6. The length of your reply doesn’t need to match mine. But of course don’t answer to a multi-paragraph with an one-liner either. I put effort in my replies, and I kindly ask you to do the same with yours.

7. English isn’t my first language, but I don’t want that to excuse grammatical errors from me should they arise. If there are typos or something isn’t clear for you in my reply, please let me know so that I can edit it. It’ll help me learn from my mistakes.

8. Unattended children will be given energy drinks and a free puppy.

9. I may use character icons, but my first focus is on my text/writting. Some icons art might be mine, others might not. As for formatting, I like to use small text (if possible, Tumblr obliterated that,) but if it’s hard for you to read on your end let me know and I’ll leave my text unformatted. I don’t mind whether you format yours or not, so long I can read it and work with the content.

10. I won’t RP with personals/non-RP blogs unless it’s on behalf of a RP sideblog. Personals are allowed to send questions both IC as OOC but not to turn that into a RP unless it’s a RP sideblog. Personals should not like my starter calls unless it’s on behalf of a RP sideblog in which they must also leave a reply with their RP sideblog URL.

11. Please have at least the bare basics on your blog, such as rules and about pages, muse list if you’re also a multimuse. It’s not a definite “I won’t follow” if you don’t have that, but I’ll be less likely to do so.

12. Crossovers are super a-okay! However, Ib (the RPG Maker horror game) and Glitchtale (Undertale AU, double on that because it’s been found out the creator enabled a child predator within their own community… yikes,) blogs please do not interact.

13. Platonic/familial/fraternal shipping, friendships and found family are always welcome, encouraged, and never enough of! (NGL those are my favorite kind of ships.) Romantic shipping is a case-by-case scenario, but in general, I prefer it with chemistry and development. Some muses might be easier to form a ship with than others. I won’t romantically ship any of the children (up to 11 years) muses. The teenager (12-17 years) muses are case-by-case but preferably only with muses who are around their same age. I’m willing to romantically ship the adult (18+) muses, with chemistry. For muses without applicable age, discussing the possibility of a ship is needed to see if it’s viable or not, each case.

14. This blog is also multiship, and all ships with a certain muse will be in their own settings without overlapping unless there are RP partners are interested in a poly-ship dynamic, in which needs to be discussed to make sure everyone involved is comfortable. And there will be no cheating unless all partners involved have plotted and agreed to something.

15. Please, always specify muse when sending an ask. Failure to do so will result in your ask being ignored, or best case scenario answered by a muse picked at random but only if I’m feeling it. Also please specify if an ask is IC or OOC. IC asks will be answered with a new post with both a @ and tag for the asker (unless anonymous) while OOC or asks directed at the mun will be answered normally.

16. Additionally, ALWAYS specify muse when liking a starter call, no matter how “obvious” you think it is. Failure to do so will come to me as if you only skimmed through my rules if at all or didn’t bother to read the mini-rules that come with every starter call for effectiveness and organization, and I’ll be inclined to skip you. If you give a like and realize later that you forgot to specify, you still can do so, so no need to panic either!

17. If you have a muse on my list that you do not wish to see (as I imagine may be the case for some people, with like FNAF or BATIM for example,) feel free to blacklist that muse, I won’t be upset. In such case I’d recommend blacklisting a muse’s roleplay/ic, visuals/audio and possibly HC tags. You can browse and see all the tags you may want to blacklist on the blog’s tag list page, sorted by muse, and some blog-functionality tags.

18. I’m perfectly fine with duplicates and multiples of canon characters! If you aren’t, though, for whatever reason (discomfort, anxiety, etc) you can just refer to the previous rule! While I’m okay with duplicates, I understand that not everyone is. I’m not actively looking out for mains or exclusives, but if you wish to make one or more of my muses your main then I will at least make a mention of it on said muse’s page, though it will be more of a promo/exposure for the RP partner– I’m willing to have a muse be mains to more than one RP partner.

19. Please do not reblog memes from me UNLESS you send me something for it first! I am not a meme archive and it fills my activity feed with unnecessary notifications, so kindly reblog from the source instead (exception of course being if the source blog’s deactivated/gone, then you may reblog from me.) Otherwise, if you reblog from me without sending anything, the first two times I’ll kindly remind you of this rule (and I know Tumblr’s been plagued with an ask-eating issue for YEARS, so it may also serve as a headsup that your ask didn’t make it through if you did send something so you can try again if you wish) but if you do it a third time, I might unfollow you.

20. Please don’t pull me into personal drama or push me to “choose sides.” If you’re my RP partner and another partner I RP with is someone you have/had personal beef against, simply blacklist that partner’s URL and my content involving them shouldn’t appear to you. Don’t make me choose between you or them. Now if we’re talking about someone who is legitimately dangerous to the community (sexual/minor predator, doxxer, etc) then DO let me know in IMs or asks.
