hehe um ok ! since you asked so politely
Tumblr media
this is um. corrin. an oc for that undertale post-neutral run au i posted about a few days back. They're a captain of a place called the Riverbed, my own fanmade area which is sorta above waterfall. It's the highest point of the underground and is basically where all the water FALLS from. into. waterfall. wow. amazing. Corrin wants to act intimidating he wants to act like a bigger "threat" than he already kind of is, because hes had to experience a lot of people treating him like he didnt know a thing about what he was talking about when he was CLEARLY experienced, but wasnt listened to because he looked the youngest, and young = stupid apparently. So he tends to hide his face, because he really just. hates that. Corrin is also a type of water monster that can mainly only survive in waterfall, in places like hotland (or i dunno the DUNES) he is at risk of evapporating very quickly and straight up DYING. btw :3 i'll add kind of a lighting round of facts abt them that arent really mega important but if you want more to chew on then like ok here (THIS IS "do you like the colour of the sky?" LEVEL LONG READ MORE AT YOUR OWN RISK)
I'll start from when he was a babey up until like present time in my au i guess
Corrin was born in the riverbed area, while its not very populated due to having more water than land, he and his family thrived. His mother used to be a captain too, but she quit sailing to raise him. He got incredibly attached to all the stories she told about her experiences with sailing, and wanted to do just that when he grew up.
When he was a teen he needed to earn enough money to be a personal student for a well trained sailor, because there arent many schools in the underground to begin with so education regarding specific things like sailing, art, etc, have to be exercised by a personal trainer.
To get that money for about a year he worked at a daycare in snowdin, which was far from home but worth it. Working with vastly different kids who were learning all about their enviornment taught Corrin how to properly handle a large group of people all at once in a calm and content manner.
Once he had enough money he got to study. woohoo! then he got to sail! yippee! he got himself a crew, a good boat, and everything.
Corrin and his crew's main goal for sailing is to help other monsters. Sometimes monsters can get stuck in waterfall, or even get lost, maybe even be trapped under the riverbeds waves, and thats where they swoop in to help. They actually managed to help a few royal guards who were in danger at some point, which garnered them a bit more attention. Corrin was gifted a harpoon by undyne as thanks for he and his crews effort into helping the royal guard, and he uses said harpoon to fire at shit with a harpoon gun :3 ok so. this is the part where corrin meets star ok. get ready ig.
Sometimes, monsters from that little home area of waterfall get lost and need a ride back with the boat. But sailing there is of course safer, but takes a long time due to a bunch of twists and turns needing to be taken. So corrin and their crew thought of a plan. They'd scope out a sort of shortcut to get to that home area faster so monsters wouldnt have to wait so long. As they were testing their theory the waters were extremely uncooperative, but Corrin got reckless. He took a wrong turn and they ended up crashing and he went overboard. Corrin sorta. floated away. half drowning, half not, just kinda out of it. Since the riverbed is the highest point of the underground, he ended up falling! many times! and much like a certain lil human guy ended up crashing into one of the mines in the dunes. The dunes, being a very hot area, is NOT suited at all for corrin. He can die there if going without water for at most 3 days. So corrin seeked refuge and for help to get back to waterfall or for someone to just. idk. give him water. Unfortunately he was attacked ! uh oh! From his looks alone corrin does NOT at ALL look like hes from the dunes and is an easy target, yknow. Corrin fought back though as he does have a weapon, a fucking harpoon gun, but as he did so he was caught in the act at the worst second. in rolls the fuckin feisty five, despite knowing how serious the situation is they were like "nah lets keep this up for the roleplay" "we might die" "no" sooooo corrin got locked up in jail! He was able to explain his situation about how hes a water monster and will die within days if hes kept in that cell, so they come up with a compromise. If corrin helps them out around the wild east, THEY can help him get back to waterfall AND give him water ! And yea. then he and star get mega gay and homosexual. wow. corrin actually forms a bit of a rivalry between the five because he doesnt enjoy being bossed around, but he kind of has to or he might die yknow. dont feel like giving all the juicy details but eventually he and star get a bit close and yeeeaaaaaa but then they help corrin back to waterfall, but he and star stay in touch. through letters ! Corrin keeps every letter he gets from star btw in a special little box. because he likes stars awful handwriting
Eventually though when frisk rolls around, and kills asgore (canon to my au) Corrin is fucking. Furious. He has lost all hope. He as well as entire monsterkind has lost their freedom to a CHILD. Blinded by rage he begins taking out all his anger out on humanity, which, to Star, who KNEW clover and LOVED them like family because of how incredibly kind they were, takes great offense to that. Corrin and Star have to temporarily take a break from eachother so that Corrin can work on his issues regarding humanity, having to realize frisk didnt have much of a choice. It was either them or asgore. And they're a child. Who might not be able to process or understand the weight they carried on their shoulders.
Once Corrin comes to terms with that, and calms down, he and Star are back together and are happy :3
Though, then Palila enters !!! (another oc for the au, the player char) and. Corrin is hesitant. Palila sneaked onto their ship to be able to go from one place to another much quicker, but in turn, Corrin has no idea how to handle them. Corrin doesnt know what to do, all hes ever learnt was to fight or get someone off of the ship immediately if possible. But Palila is a child. A HUMAN child. He doesnt want to fight them, not after all the time he spent collecting himself and trying to berid of all his hatred for humanity and what they've done to monsters, but he's forced into a situation where he HAS to fight because someone is TRESSPASSING on their property. He first sends Palila to Time-out (those daycare instincts kicking in) but once they escape he cant really do anything but fight.
Once hes spared though, he makes a compromise with Palila too. They can stay on his ship whenever they need to and wherever they want to go (like sorta the riverperson) but they must ask or inform someone on deck before doing so. and now hes a dad :3 So yeah thats basically all of it in like a very bitcrushed summary i didnt want this to get too long but whoops. If you're reading this, you're cool. If you read EVERYTHING? you're insane, love that for you. thank you.

Do you think Pete's loyalty was lowered after learning Korn faked his death? Not only was it very horrible for his sons to experience but also a very brutal tactic to lure Gun into a major family home. Gun knew he was capable of this but still decided to attack. Did he knew about Namphueng? In the series it was shown that he was pretty surprised seeing her alive, so I wonder if you made more changes here. Also I'm curious if you decided who killed Porsche's parents (dad) which was left open ended in the series (no need to answer if it's too much of a spoiler 😅).
About the rings.. Are there only two, rings for minor and major family? If so how did Vegas have it, wasn't he only an heir unlike Kinn? If there were more rings it would make sense but I'm not sure which path you took. I've read some fics where there are more than one for each family.
In terms of Pete's loyalty he must have some negative emotions towards Kinn and Korn. I think he was ready to kill Gun anyway.
In the series Porsche takes the ring because they took it from Gun's dead body (which btw ew 💀).
I wonder if in their universe having the ring is like having a holy stick to all the power or is it more like a formality. This is nice because I've never read this kind of thing happening. Mostly it stayed with Vegas. If he was ready to die did he think Pete would rule the minor family? Or maybe he knew he would survive anyway and it was the safest place to keep it. I mean, I really like how you made it because even if the rings are not holy sticks it still holds a lot of meaning for them all. Which is insane!!
Obviously I have my own ideal ending but it requires one more person dead 👀
Considering it will take months for Vegas to recover - do you plan on doing any time skips? Or just the usual day to day or week narrative?
Please don't feel pressured into answering all of these. It's just my mind keeps wondering while I wait for my bus home from work 😅
I'm still in awe of all planning and world building. How it all makes sense. Not that I'm looking for loop holes 😅 it just shows the awesome skill you have!
Take care and happy Halloween 🙏❤️
hey there!!! i actually don't think that necessarily??? in my mind, even though pete knows he's loyal to the main family i can see him actually applying that loyalty to the specific people he actually deals with instead i.e, kinn, tankhun, chan. i think with his upbringing he would find it difficult to blindly put his trust into korn, a man who hes barely spoken to and hardly interacts with at all. so while yes he was disgusted with what korn did in terms of hurting his own family it didnt necessarily lower his feelings of loyalty because they werent particularly directed at korn in the first place??? if that makes sense. i think his loyalty took a much worse hit when he returned from the safehouse and kinn treated him badly after everything hed sacrificed.
hmm i dont actually think he did know about namphueng being alive? he defs didnt trust korn though he wasnt necessarily certain that hed faked his death either. but the coup was absolutely motivated by namphueng and how that situation was handled- it was less about the minor family feeling slighted like hed told vegas and always drilled into him, and more about how his obsession with nampheung meant that he could never let his resentment go until korn was out of the picture and hed honoured her even in death. but we also know that he never takes responsibility for his actions so of course he would blame korn for everything regardless of who was actually responsible.
i dont particularly have any interest in which one of them actually killed her husband tbh? i find its a good summation of their characters in the fact that you couldnt really trust either at their word and wed never quite know for certain who did it regardless of what they say
in my head there are two family rings and vegas only had it because that was his father's reward for the coup, like his coming of age moment was his father finally acknowledging him as a successor (and it was the only way he could sweeten the deal when vegas started to show reluctance for the coup because of pete. so his father threw in the two things he desperately wants, ceremonial acknowledgement of his power and place in the family, and a guarantee that he wont get any resistance from his father about his relationship with pete) so although things are still going to follow the show i.e korn promoting porsche to the head of the family (as a punishment to vegas and a way to try and keep pete from gaining power and authority) porsche still aint getting that ring (sorry porsche!) not because pete wouldnt give it if porsche asked but because of the messiness of the situation, porsche doesn't ask. doesnt actually want it.
haha holy stick of power lol but yeah kinda?? i take it as whoever wears the ring is the head of that family or is set to be the successor/is temporarily acting as the head (in the event of someone else being ill like korn was at the beginning when kinn took over)
so yes vegas was showing how seriously he values pete and i think hes also aware that pete would still treat his men decently in spite of their history and get them out alive so when he knew there was a likelihood of his own death he was both passing it on to pete and also knowing hed keep it safe (and maybe trusting hed give it to the right person if pete didnt end up wanting the responsibility himself). but not only that the ring also holds a very significant power for vegas, its a symbol of everything that he wants in life so for him to give it to pete even when he still chose in that moment to abandon him that was his way of signaling to pete his importance even in spite of vegas' actions. it was a very definite way of say i love you and i value you and thats exactly what pete picked up on when he realised what vegas had given him. and thats why he was thinking 'of course vegas has to give two answers'
yeah lol i kinda want korn dead for real too but we shall see if that actually comes to fruition in the story! hmm not too sure about the time jumps as of yet but i am going to focus on the current events following the aftermath because those will be important to the story itself. there will be a time skip of sorts because we should be shifting over into vegas POV in the next chap ish and thats going to take some time because he'll be seriously out of it on pain medication so hes not going to be entirely lucid for a while. the rest i am making it up as i go along so i will predict there will likely be time skips? will just have to see how it all fits really
oh no not at all!! i do like answering these questions and having a think about it i dont feel pressured :) hahahahahh thank you so much that's really nice!
happy halloween to you too!!

How to fall for thai BL series in 3 acts (my experience):
Act 1: I'm so bored so I start looking for drama recommendations (enemies to lovers) in YouTube
Act 2: Found a thai series that catches my attention mostly because one of the leads kinda resembles japanese idol Shigeoka Daiki. Evidence here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left: an embarrassed First Kanaphan. Right: an embarrassed Shigeoka Daiki. XD (god, they could be twins :ppp)
Act 3: Become obsessed with First Kanaphan and Khaotung Thanawat, watch their other series, meet other gmmtv actors, also become obsessed with them, also watch their other series and it becomes a neverending cycle and I still can't get out of it (not that I want to, though)
Anyway, the series that had left me quite an impression until now are these (in non particular order):
The Eclipse: obviously, but not only because of Khaotung and First insane chemistry but akkayan wholesome relationship and the sutile way the characters start to grow right in front of our eyes since episode one. There's something in the way Ayan and Akk hate each other at first because of their different ideals and values, but as they start to know each other (through their confrontations) something clicks within them and start to recognize themselves in the other one. The way Akk starts to question his beliefs and the way Ayan start to soften himself, the way he is so patient with Akk and the way they care about each other, "You are allowed to be weak, at least with me" will be forever engraved within me... who would have imagined they used to hate each other? They both have so much to learn from each other and both have the same patience to wait for the other. They are literally the cutest couple I've seen and have become my safe place. Btw, this is the series I rewatch the most lol
Not Me: a friend of mine recommended this one to me because I told her I liked First in The Eclipse so of course while watching it I started looking up for First but A SAVAGE GUN ATTHAPHAN appeared on my screen. That person really amazed me with his portraying of the twins, and become an instant favorite. The way he changed his voice, the manerisms, everything 👌. Of course this drama is 10/10 not only acting wise but plot wise and the way they manage certain social and political issues. I loved every single one of the characters of the gang, their camadery, their drive, even their individual matters were realistic and valid and we can easily relate. And yes one more time I have to mention First because here's when realized how good actor he is, this series was way before the eclipse where he was a highschool student but in not me he looked older, more confident and an entire new persona. I love him.
Theory of Love: I do not remember if I saw this one right after Not Me but oh how I suffered with Third and Khai story. From a person who loves angst, tears, hearbreaks, drama and rom-coms, Theory of Love is perfect. Starting with how the first half it's form Third's perspective and the second half from Khai's perspective, a reference from "Flipped" (Third's favorite movie) and how each one of the episodes are named after a popular rom-com movie (they're film students). I admit I saw myself a little in Third since I was in his same situation when I was in highschool (in love with our best friend) so it was SO frustrating seeing him suffering for someone who doesn't deserve a single tear and only hurts you but at least Khai proves us wrong (???) One more time I fell for Gun Atthaphan acting skills (my boy cried his tears out in this one) and Off Jumpol made me hate Khai so much until the second half. I really, reeeally love how this series is delievered and would like to buy the DVD lol.
Tonhon Chonlatee: YESSS THE INFAMOUS ONE LMAO 🙉🙈, I think it's really not necessary to mention the second hand embarrassement this series gave me at some points (the very first scene lmao and the ones that came after) and how bad some issues were handled but I would like to thank Tonhon Chonlatee for giving me a whole new perspective of the kind of actor Khaotung Thanawat is. He's so versatile. I think this was his first main role in a series ??? Chonlatee is a very shy and sweet hometown boy in love with his neighbor since childhood he has a pure heart but also knows how to stand up for himself. The contrast between Chon and confident troublemaker Ayan in The Eclipse still amazes me really. Another thing I loved about this series were the girls in Chonlatee life: his mom who always gives the best advices to his son, Pang, his best friend who deserves the title of best best friend and Miriam his roomate who was there to support him. Love them.
Moonlight Chicken: The earthmix is earthmixing (lmao I had to say that xd) Anyway, this one is love in different stages of life and we love that. Earthmix chemistry is no joke, their scenes together in ep 1 some made me melt of cuteness, other some made me 🙉🙈 There's something about them idk how to explain, they give a "mature" vibe which made them perfect for Uncle Jim and Wen. Funny how I started hating Wen because I thought he was cheating his boyfriend Alan (First my beloved again) but ended up being my fav character. About Gemini and Fourth this was also my introduction to them AND THEY WERE THE CUTEST in charge of the youth, the pure love between a deaf rich boy and a poor boy. they really are the cutest 😩💕. As for my beloved Khaotung and his character Gaipa in here, what can I say? Again he surprised me with his acting skills, he's just too good at delievering emotions. Of course First my beloved was super serious and grumpy here and I really missed his smile but he did a good job portrying alan. Love them.

MC teaching the brats how to destress by complaining about their boss who overworks them (ofc talking about Zelek) but also telling them to do this somewhere he can't here them or they'll get in trouble😂
MC is talking from experience btw
Wdym shit talking your boss and breaking things isn't therapeutic?
~•~•~
"Come on, scream out whatever boss' doing that pisses you off." You encourage, arms folded across your chest. Zil gives Thalia an unsure look, but the youngest Agent just vibrates in excitement with a wide grin, ignoring her "older brother".
"I HATE IT WHEN BOSING CONFISCATES MY GUNS!" Her sudden shout echoes throughout the old warehouse. You can hear the rage mixed with joy in her voice. "PUTA KAAAAAAAAAA!!! TANGINA MO. BWISET KAAAAAA. I JUST WANTED TO KEEP ONE GUN FOR SELF-DEFENSE, BUT FUCK YOU FOR NOT TRUSTING ME. I'M A SKILLED MARKSMAN LIKE ZIL AND I'M TRAINED TO HANDLE A GUN, SO WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN I'M NOT READY?!?!"
You look at Zil, who is staring at a now seething Thalia in horror for bad mouthing your boss.
"Your turn." You smile at him, and he looks at you incredulously for even saying that.
"Come on, it's fun." Thalia encourages with a grin, her rage from earlier now gone in a snap, tugging Zil by the sleeve of his jacket. "Say something you always wanted to say to bosing but chickened out last minute."
"How encouraging." Zil deadpans at Thalia, who sticks her tongue out at him in reply. A sigh comes next, and Zil takes in a deep breath. You and Thalia step back to give him some space, if the way his fists clench tightly mean anything.
"Zelek, I fucking hate you for putting Thalia and I in those bullshit missions, in those bullshit teams with the shitty supervisors, and fuck you for trying to baby me in everything that I do. I hate you for nEARLY TRYING TO GET US KILLED FOR THIS MOTHERFUCKING STUPID ASS—" Zil cuts himself off, grabbing the old pipe Thalia offered up to him and throwing it aimlessly with an angry shout. The pipe clangs loudly against the floor as it tumbles and settles.
Silence comes after for a moment.
Thalia lets out a whoop, breaking the silence immediately. She throws her hands into the air with a wide smile before wrapping them around Zil into a hug.
"You did it!" She squeals, shaking Zil a bit with her jumps. "Look at you, finally shit talking Zelek with us!"
"Stop hugging me." Zil scowls at her, but doesn't make any effort to stop Thalia.
"Come on, I have one more thing to show you." You say and start walking off somewhere in the warehouse.
"There's more?" Both Juniors question, one of them with wonder and excitement, while the other is confused and incredulous. You hear feet shuffling behind you, and Thalia quickly jumps up into your view.
"What are we going to do next?" She asks, eager with whatever chaos you have in store. "Does it involve guns? Are we going to shoot something?"
"Well, no." You laugh at seeing Thalia give an immediate pout.
"Tally, I doubt we're allowed to bring our guns on our day off." Zil says, appearing at your side and frowning at the youngest Agent.
"A girl can dream, can't she?" Thalia says with a dramatic sigh, the back of her hand on her forehead.
"Love the enthusiasm, but we're going to break stuff instead." Both of your Juniors look at you incredulously.
"Like in those telenovelas?" Thalia asks, brows furrowing, "where the antagonist goes beast mode and starts throwing stuff and breaking things, and have a mental breakdown in the end?"
"That, minus the mental breakdown." You say as you three arrive in a room full of cheap breakable objects. "I come here when I want to let out some inner rage I have on Zelek."
Zil raises a brow at you.
"Hey, breaking stuff is a therapeutic thing." You remark. Thalia doesn't even hesitate, already bounding up to the nearest object and breaking it to pieces with a metal bat she got from the nearby table full of blunt weapons.
"You can imagine the thing as Zelek's face," you add and offer him a metal bar, "you know, if it helps you get immersed in it, or something. I've seen how you threw that pipe earlier."
Zil opens his mouth to protest, but he's stopped by a loud shatter of glass and Thalia's cackling followed after. He looks over at his fellow Agent, then back at the metal bar. Without another word, he grabs it and runs into the chaos, breaking the first thing he sees. Thalia lets out a whoop as she watches Zil break a poor mannequin into pieces.
You watch by the side, leaning your back against the wall and revelling in that sweet chaos.
"So this is where you three have been." You flinch in surprise and look to your left, seeing Ariel leaning back as well and drinking from a cup of, from what you can smell, chai. Another cup is in her hand and she offers it up to you. You gingerly take the cup with a small "thank you" in reply.
"Thought I might teach them how to properly let out some anger that doesn't involve hurting anyone." You say and take a sip of the chai.
Ariel smiles. "It seems you're doing a good job at that."
"I try my best," you chuckle, "I never was a great teacher."
"But you are to them." She gestures to the two teenagers now having a swordfight with plastic pipes they found, grins on their faces and laughter coming from their mouths. "I think you're doing a better job than their former supervisors. That's worth something being proud of, no?"
"Yeah…" You smile fondly at the thought. "I guess you're right."
"AGENT, WE GOT YOU A NEW ARM!" Thalia shouts, and you both look over to see her raising the arm from the mannequin Zil broke earlier with a grin. Zil is crouched beside her, rummaging through the debris and pulls out the other mannequin arm.
"That's not even as good as the one Elly made me!" You shout back, causing Thalia to blow a raspberry at you and Ariel to laugh.
"It doesn't hurt to have variety!"
"Variety my ass!"

But Daemon loves the intimacy they share
Yeah, it feels weird to him at first but it doesn't mean he didn't like it 🤭
Aside from guns or knives, I bet Daemon has a main weapon, like, a sword, maybe? 🤔 Probably this resistance group is living somewhere in a village or town but the people living there already know abt their exploits and they agree w them
The company Daemon once was a part of (and where he was made) is doing some shady stuff, like, experimenting on people and draining their planet of resources or smth like that, but some people are unaware of it... until the group w Rhaenyra & Daemon's help leaked a sensitive info to the public?
And how did they meet the resistance btw?
Meeting the resistance:
He feels strange but kissing and touching are nice, and he likes that very much, and wants to experiment more with Rhaenyra.
Yeah, he can handle any weapon. But Dark Sister can be his favorite one
That corporation damages everything, people, and planet, and they need to be stopped and destroyed

Chapter 11 Review - RaS - the CPC fanfic
"My Curse" as referring to the CPC character - "and Tales that Related to it" will gives references correlation of Fictional 'Fairy' Tales
oh, also dark topic about handling the toxic abusive relationship VS forgiveness that born from the love
Phew! The hardest chapter so far that I write, 6k words!
I initially didn't want to go that long, but this make another example of odd chapter to be ridiculously long while the even chapter is relatively shorter. Welp. Happens. Moving on
The first part is basically the CPC adults learning that Fred's curse is indeed similar with Nell's. Medic!Syrah btw
The second part is the hardest to write but I am satisfied with how it become. In RaS I am kinda role-swapping Gwen and Frederick, as here Fred is the protagonist instead. This make interesting possibility that the one getting confused with romantic feeling is Gwen - instead canon where she's sure about the love but preventing her own feelings because she thoughts Fred didn't wants her. In RaS, the one that sure is Fred because the whole experience at the afterlife (espc ch 2) - but I'm hinting that Fred repressing his own feelings because he didn't deserves Gwen as mainly cuz his existence just dragging Gwen anyway- this also fits with canon (we have Prince Frederick, who starts to worry if he even deserves Gwen. ). Also not Abbi bashing but I write her in extreme antagonizing to Fred that might sounds OOC to her personality-I'm deeply apologize
The third part is interesting canon divergence of "Abbi's wish" episodes mixed with "Prez' lecture". I hope the joke about Lecture VS exam test could be delivered :3
"Ahem, but you are all still need paper and pen thou in this test" - many groaning with the notion. C'mon, not a lecture day - but a sudden test? This is highly unfair, and worse.
The fourth part is the shortest, but actually some of the wishes are planned to be Checkov's gun in the future
The fifth part had so many things going on, I am not sure which part to be talk about - you guys need to read my fanfic hahaha! But without spoiling, I like to extending HC about Blaine used to be anorexic, it's mental issue that often inflicted models that make them didn't want to eat in fear their body not their desired one. Also I mentioning Isolde again, and I like the idea that even thou canonically she looks so distant, in RaS we got mention that she's fighting for the sake of her son (Blaine) to stops anorexic
The sixth part and the last, is my weird attempt to putting the title of the chapter while dumping my OCs of CPC members (basically those that appearing but never named)
well, even thou YES curses related to fairy tales, BUT not every curse - there's many curse that not related to established tales at all, or a curse that actually related to multiple tales at once (the latter, should be obvious who refers to - it's part of the mystery to know the true curse)
In fanfic we could make anything, and I really want Syrah moment teasing Gwen (which in here is jealous, and she has every right to be!) about Fred. I really like that interaction
"Girl, your jealousy is leaking~ You should shoot yours soon, makes Frederick remembers that he's your fiance... Because he didn't realizes how popular and charming he could be, and at this rate the other CPC members will try to steals him from you" laughs Syrah at Gwen, while patting Gwen's shoulder.
We know that Gwen is oblivious as even without trying, she gets 3 males interested to her romantically. But I find it's interesting to make Frederick also "the oblivious". It's already hinted in ch 8 as declaring him as the cutest Plaid Prince. This obliviousness will become big later on in the RaS
If fredrick was real I'd do anything he fucking asked of me. (a simp comment, and I nearly too if isn't be GwenDerick/FredDolyn hardcore shipper hahaha)
Adios, on my way of writing ch 12 about Princel retelling !!!

This was inspired from the madness: project nexus game so essentially how would the main 3 or the auditor who ever you can chose react to a player who is doing a unarmed build like jacked strength, endurance, dexterity, tactics stats and almost all of the unarmed skills
"Project nexus ask guy I meant project nexus 2 and the player chose the noob class" - 2/2
Hi Anon! This was really fun to do, I love a good unarmed build. I decided to go with the Main 3 + 2BDamned. “You” also refers to you as in the player character btw, for anyone who's unfamiliar with Arena Mode.
(TW: Mentions of Violence)
First off, I think all of them would be impressed. Hank is extremely skilled in all manner of fighting, but even his hand-to-hand combat abilities pale in comparison to yours.
You’re an enigma to them. Where the hell did 2B even find you? Surely someone that powerful couldn’t have stayed under their radar for that long?
Judging by the way you look, you didn’t have any real combat experience before you were hired. So how were you so good at this???
Deimos is a big fan, probably on the verge of begging Doc to assign you some missions together. He likely makes trips to the H.Q. just to try and strike up a friendship up with you.
(He conveniently forgets to tell 2B when he plans on visiting you. Oops.)
You’re just so cool! He’s never met someone who has your fighting style and strength. He’s pretty capable, maybe you could teach him a few things?
When he learned of your background from Doc, he didn’t believe it, so he asked you directly instead. You just told him you worked some retail job once before 2B scouted you and that was a while ago anyway. While you were explaining how it was difficult to get a job with only one thing on your resume, Deimos was staring slack-jawed at you. You had to be kidding, right?
He expected you to at least be an agent, or a merc or something. But no, you had absolutely no background in it whatsoever.
“I didn’t think I would be that good at this whole punching thing, but it’s actually a lot easier than I was expecting. Paying for dry cleaning is a pain, though.”
Upon getting to know you better, not gonna lie, he’s a little scared, but the excitement at having someone so strong behind them overpowers that.
(Also probably wants to see just how high you could throw him.)
Sanford, while not as excitable as Deimos, definitely gets where he’s coming from. It’s kind of a wonder that you’ve taken to the life of a merc so quickly. 2B never really specified where he found you, just that you were pretty much a normal grunt that could serve a bigger purpose.
After Deimos befriends you, he definitely drags Sanford along on his random visits, so he gets to know you pretty well too.
He’s kind of in awe over you, but also concerned about how you manage to just tank damage like that. Sanford’s great with his hook, but he also carries a gun for a reason.
He’s only seen you use a gun once, and the most notable thing you did was throw it at some poor grunt before promptly separating their head from their body with your bare hands. (He’s seen you throw people too. A part of him wonders how much you could deadlift.)
Definitely has discussions with Skinner about the rare times you’ve had to be stitched back together. Probably tries to find you after these incidents to make sure you're doing alright.
He buys you a meal and brings you movies or something so you guys can just chill for a bit. Everyone needs some time to relax, right?
He knows you can handle yourself in combat, probably better than he can. But as your friend, your mental health is also important to him too.
Hank finds you as being a sort of kindred spirit, both of you capable of massive amounts of carnage whenever you’re sent for missions. He’s never met someone who was so good at snapping people's bones before. He also finds how you just casually throw or drop kick half-mags across the room really funny.
While Deimos and Sanford might politely ask (or beg) 2B to allow them to work with you, Hank will just show up and insist you come along with him on jobs.
He can get pretty competitive when it comes to who can kill more grunts, and surprisingly, 8/10 times you end up tying. Hank might use guns, but you’re pretty fast. And you don’t care about being swarmed by hostiles either, confident enough in your skills to charge head first into a group of them.
He thinks you two have a nice system. There are always a ton of guns on the ground because you don’t use any of them, so he always has a weapon. It’s efficient.
While others would be horrified at your blood covered form and monstrous strength, Hank never feels more in his element than when he’s tearing through grunts at your side. It’s something special, to find someone who’s almost one of your kind.
He actually bothers to remember you, which is more than Deimos and Sanford can say about their own friendships with him. (They get annoyed when he can’t tell them apart, but can point you out in a crowd several meters away from them in a dark room.)
As for your background, he finds it relatable to some degree. After all, he was just a guy that wanted someone to turn down that boombox before all of this happened. (He did snap and murder 30 (32?) people at the time, but he’ll overlook that.)
2BDamned is the only one who knows of your greater purpose for Nevada. He fully expected you to grow more powerful after assigning you with managing their forces in Nevada Central. He didn’t foresee that you’d be this brutal though.
Given how scrawny and weak you seemed to be before the bus dropped you off, he expected you to develop more of a focus on ranged weapons. As a medic, he was honestly kind of worried when you did the opposite. You had absolutely no background in combat, what the hell were you thinking just rushing into enemies like that?!
Having Skinner there to fix you up did somewhat help his concern, but a part of him was exasperated at having to deal with another Hank in that regard.
However, he is really proud of how much you’ve grown. You’ve managed to outpace nearly everybody in the S.Q. when it comes to full on strength, and you were probably the most reliable when it came to actually getting your work done. The guards he stationed in the H.Q. were probably more for protecting the other grunts there, now that he thought about it. You could kill MAGs with your bare hands, you didn’t need any more help.
When he found out about the others visiting you, he was a little ticked off (because he would’ve liked to warn you in advance of these things). But, he knew that you should have at least some moral support. You were a hard worker and unfortunately he couldn’t be there to do that himself.
However, the impromptu missions you were taken on were another matter. He was your supervisor; he needed notice if you weren’t at H.Q and/or available. At least Deimos and Sanford would ask if they wanted you with them, unlike someone else.
(He'd have a discussion with Hank about it, but he doubts he'd actually listen. Seems Doc unintentionally found him a best friend.)

BNHA 320 - Thoughts
How do you have a fight between people who don’t want to hurt each other?
The answer is to turn it into a giant Catch-a-Deku and shower him with a plus ultra dose of friendship.
Kacchan proves right at the bat that they’ve predicted Deku’s likely course of action. He had a move ready to counter smoke-screen, which does not surprise me at all. I bet he’s been thinking up ways to match / counter Deku’s new quirks as soon as he laid eyes on All Might’s notebook.
Also, all the discussion from last week can be laid to rest on whether Kacchan told the others that he was part of team OFA - he obviously prepared them - they all recognized Smokescreen.
Tumblr media
What is even more interesting is that he calls out Deku (and by implication his younger self) about how once someone is able to do everything alone, everyone else starts to look like extras. That it’s easy to lose perspective. I guess Kacchan is saying that from experience, knowing how screwed up that is.
Deku doesn’t want to hear this, so he bolt.  Then the action is rather cool - we get Kouda sending in a flock of pigeons, a Sero-Midoriya spiderman vs spiderman tug of war, Jirou having a totally new move (let my girl fight, she looks badass),
Tumblr media
Ojirou catching Deku with his tail, Dark Shadow pushing Deku into Momo’s sleep machine. So I guess with was Plan A (probably the Momo-plan). It would also make a pretty cool theme park ride if anyone would ever want to make one.
They are not trying to hurt Deku, only get him in Momo’s sleepy-time machine, which Deku resists like an angry toddler, all the while talking about their bonding moments - Jirou about Deku helping her to organize her notes, Ojirou about how Deku got angry on his behalf.
They all appreciate Deku for just normal friends stuff - nothing to do with Deku’s quirk or his self-sacrifices, but simply his caring, decent nature. For things that are totally unrelated to OFA or breaking himself for the sake of others.
Tumblr media
Satou is going for the jugular mentioning Eri and her candied apples. And it’s so heart-breaking that even at the mention of Eri, Deku thinks that she would be all right with anyone. (Deku, you total dumbass). He also asks his classmates not to care about him anymore (hahahaha) as he breaks the sleep-machine. Love Dark Shadow’s little exasperated look.
Tumblr media
..only to be caught by Kaminari giving him a bro-hug, telling him that even if they never interacted that much, he thinks of Deku as his pal. I adore Kaminari - he doesn’t even use his quirk, he uses his superpower as official whisperer of all the beasts of class A.
Shoji is next in restraining Deku and reminding him back when Deku thought that Shoji, Tokoyami, Shouto, Bakugou and himself were awesome enough to go up against All Might even. I love this reminder, not only how much his classmates also been through and handled, but that back before OFA-Sixquirks, Deku used to see them differently. And it’s not like they’ve become any weaker since then - rather the opposite...
Tumblr media
Tokoyami is back with Ragnarok - Womb that looks like a pretty awesome cocoon - I adore the design and all of Tokoyami’s moves, putting Kaminari in there with him, who finally says the most important thing to Deku.
Tumblr media
Yes. Please. For the love of All Might, go, take a shower, Deku.  Shoji at the same time asking him if he only sees them as people to protect now - and it’s a very pertinent question - hits very hard - it’s something I’ve been asking since the beginning of the arc, and I’m glad someone asked him that. Even if Deku doesn’t think like that, it’s important he understands what it FEELS like to his friends.
Deku breaks out from the cocoon, but finally the mask falls and he’s holding back tears now, gritting his teeth, saying yet again, how he’s fine. Sure Deku, you look “just fine”. I guess it’s another one for the list...
He also notes how Danger Sense didn’t activate this whole time (which the scanlation totally mistranslated btw), because the class has no ill intent. Cue my UA traitor theory.
So as Deku breaks free, he yeets himself head-first into a Heaven Piercing Ice Wall - nice throwback to the first Kamino rescue - and damn, Shouto made it go straight up in an instant, and you can see how high it is.
Tumblr media
But even more devastating is Shouto’s deeply disappointed face, as he questions if Deku can even cry anymore - a nice throwback to their heroes cry too conversation.
Deku’s resolve is really weakening now and Tsuyu still comes to give her two cents - about comic-book heroes and turning fiction into reality, and why does she talk like AFO suddenly.
Interestingly, there is a car approaching - it’s either Hercules or Jeanist Mobile, so we may have an interruption soon. I hope it’s All Might - he should really say something about this lone pillar thing.
Tumblr media
We’ll know in two weeks, but other than some of the big guns in terms of closeness to Deku - Iida, Uraraka and of course, Professor Kacchan, with a PhD in Dekulogy - we still have some of the less significant and mid-tier characters who haven’t spoken: Aoyama, Hagakure, Mina and Kirishima.  I’m guessing the UA traitor will be one of them and may end up pinging Danger Sense.
I guess Iida and Uraraka will be the real heart-breakers, and Kacchan (if we’ll segue now into DvK3) will be the nuclear explosion in the end.
Or maybe Deku gets his bath before that happens.
In any case, so far - I think the “fight” is handled in a balanced way. Nobody tries to hurt the other, the class is showing some new moves, a bit of clever combos, Deku can show off his growth to them, but ultimately it’s a fight for his heart. They are talking to him like to a friend - they are not putting him on All Might’s pedestal, but try to draw out the human side of him and try to get it through to him that he’s appreciated exactly for that.
The class is not approaching Deku, the hero, they try to get through to their dumbass friend who is hurting and is in need of help. They are breaking him with friendship and the no-jutsu has more punch when it’s stuff that’s been built for a long time.
It also shows that the more gut-wrenching moments are the ones with classmates who he has a longer or closer history with. So I’m getting my tissue box ready for 321.
Also, check out the trivia in HK’s author comment about the origin of Deku’s name. It’s pretty cool.
All the dude-bros frothing at the mouth about how Deku didn’t get to beat class A to a pulp makes this chapter extra delicious.

Mother(Ghost) of Mine but Danny's parents come home
https://archiveofourown.org/works/24227953/chapters/58372924 <THE FIC THIS IS BASED ON
@kattythingz @laylatheqhitta
btw I read like.. three chapters so far of the story but i'm already in love and I suddenly realized that you didn't include Danny's parents and wanted to write a oneshot of them showing up and just being really confused as to why Danny is suddenly a mom. Also, I modified Dan so he was slightly more physically a kid, so he looks like.. sixteen or something, instead of thirty.
(I also originally submitted this post to you directly katty so sorry if you get it-)
Clockwork was the reason Danny's parents had been gone for two months on a 'hunting trip' and Danny was just now finding this out when he flew to Clockwork Tower to try and figure out what the hell he was going to do when his parents are coming home today and he has two kids.
"What do you mean you know?!" Danny shouts, waving his arms around, easily more dramatic in his panicked state. He was trying to get this solved quick as well, since he left Dani and Dan in Jazz's care.
"I mean exactly that, Daniel, I know they are coming back," Clockwork replies with a sigh, "I am the one who sent them away in the first place, I gave you time to be accustomed to Danielle and Dan, and now that you are you should be able to handle this as well," Danny went pale.
"Please, Clockwork, send them away again, I don't want my kids getting.. getting," he waved his arms around again, "Experimented on! Mom and Dad will probably pull guns out the moment they see them and shoot before asking questions!"
Clockwork turned away from the looking clock and towards Danny, "Trust me, Daniel, you can handle this. And if you can not, I can go back," he shrugged.
"Clockwork, I don't know about you, but I still don't want to watch my kids getting blown to bits, even if I know you can fix it," he ran a hand through his glowing white hair, "Please, Clockwork," he begged, not even entirely sure what he was begging for. Does he want his parents to never come home..?
"No, Daniel, I am sorry but you must deal with this alone," he turned back towards the looking clock, "You may want to be heading back," Danny looked at the glass and his eyes widened when he realized his parents will be pulling in in a couple minutes.
"You're a jerk, Clockwork!" he shouts as he shoots off out of the tower and towards home.
-=-
Dani is pacing, Jazz is guarding the Lab (where they're waiting for Danny to come back) and Dan is biting at his nails pretending he isn't about to combust with panic. They had their initial panic when Danny came flying (literally) into Dan and Dani's room (They had modified the guest room and completely forgotten that hey, it'll be kinda weird when Danny's parents come home and find the guest room turned into a bedroom for two ghost kids they don't remember having).
He was panicked and he gave them absolutely no further explanation than, "I'm going to clockworks, Jazz is in charge, she's waiting for you in the lab, do not leave the house!" and then he phased through the ground.
The kids, reasonably, panicked and ran down to the lab, hoping to get further explanation. Jazz is biting at her nails, staring at the closing portal. She turned when she heard them coming down, made a relieved noise and ordered them to stay in the lab while she stayed by the door.
It very much felt like some big bad murderer was coming to kill them, Danny and Jazz trying to protect them.
"Mom!" Dani shouted and Danny came through the portal, he turned towards them and let out a relieved sigh, flying over.
"Jesus christ," he pulled Dani into a hug, looking at Dan over her shoulder and seeing the jealous scowl on his face. He switched kids after a moment, "Okay, you guys need to stay down here a bit longer, okay?" he told them once he pulled away, "Don't make any noise, don't try and leave, just stay put, I'll come get you when I can," Dan and Dani turned to look at each other worriedly, before silently nodding to Danny, "Okay, I promise everything is going to be fine," and then he switched back to his human form and ran up the stairs.
"Jazz, they're gonna be pulling in in a few minutes," he warned, closing the lab door and locking it in the hopes it would slow down his parents if they tried to go down there.
"Clockwork isn't going to help?!" Jazz exclaimed, "What the heck does he think we're gonna be able do?"
"Not sure, but as it turns out he is the entire reason they left in the first place, and his only backup plan is to just bring me back in time to before-," he glanced at the door, having turned around so they could do their best to look casual for their parents.
Jazz turned with him, minutely confused before her eyes widen, "Seriously?! Oh my god," he ran a hand through the part in her bright orange hair and Danny nodded with a dramatic sigh.
"It's fine, we can, tell them before they have a chance to do anything rash,"
Jazz gave him a look, "Your first idea wasn't to hide them?"
"Where the hell would I hide two eleven year old ghost kids? I don't have an accessible lair and they sure has hell don't wanna leave," he exclaimed, Jazz went to respond before the loud rumbling of the Fenton RV interrupts them.
They both turn to the front door with wide eyes, look at each other, then sprint to sit on the couch and look as casual has possible. Three minutes later Maddie and Jack Fenton come barrelling through the door carrying as many bags as possible.
"We're home!" Maddie calls into the house, before turning and spotting them on the couch, "Oh! You're already downstairs," she laughs, "Can you help us with bags?" she request. Both kids give a varied response that implies a yes, give each other a worried look, glance at the lab door before smiling fakely at their parents and rushing outside to grab things.
"Are you sure you wanna tell them?" Jazz asks hushedly as they speed walk past their parents and begin grabbing bags, Danny nearly forgetting he's supposed to be a frail teenager when he went to grab half of them at once.
"What if I tell them.. I convinced you to come with me into the ghost zone, and I accidentally got stuck in something and it popped out two ghosts that were really similar to me, and they just kinda came home with us and now they call me mom?" he explains his fake story on the spot, fleshing it out slightly in his head.
Jazz hesitates slightly, beginning to walk towards the front door, "You could try..? And if It doesnt work-?"
"I get clockwork, or like, tell them the truth," he shrugs, "I don't know, Jazz! I just want to avoid them killing my kids," he feels the need to throw his arms in the air, and almost does, before remembering he's carrying a bunch of bags and would end up throwing them. Jazz give him a small smirk,
"You just called them your kids," she teases, and Danny lights up in blush.
"Shut up," he groans dramatically, kicking the door open the rest of the way so they can get through. Only to see his parents missing and the lab door open, "Oh shit," he whispers, before dropping the stuff in his arms and rushing down to the lab, "Guys?" he calls anxiously, looking around the lab. The ghost portal is open, Jack is looking at it confused and Maddie is already working on something at the table, it looks like Dani and Dan must've gone through the portal when they realized Maddie and Jack were unlocking the door.
"What's up, Danno?" Jack calls, reaching to close the ghost portal before turning to him.
"Uhhhh," Danny leans back, "Uhm, me and Jazz got the bags, what do you want us to do with them?" he asks, doing his best not to sound like he's covering something up.
Maddie turns to him, "Oh! Sorry we'll come up, don't worry about it," she smiles, setting her stuff down. Her and Jack make their way upstairs, Danny stepping out of the way and getting his hair ruffled by his mother. He follows them up and glances at Jazz who's standing by the door.
'They're fine' he mouths and she gives him a weary look before smiling at their parents.
"Hey, uh, mom? Dad?" Danny calls, fiddling with his hands, they pause reaching for their bags.
The two adults share a look before Maddie asks, "What's wrong, Danny?" Danny fiddles with his hands.
"Uhm, so, me and Jazz went into the Ghost Zone and we ran into these like ghosts that looked kinda like Phantom but they were uh, not him and they somehow ended up just hanging out with us and we brought them home and this was at like the start of you being gone on your trip so we kinda just kept them here in the guest room and now they call me mom so I have ghost kids now and I really don't want you to kill them," he spits out, nearly choking on his words a bajillion times and pulling in a lungful of air once he's done.
Maddie and Jack stare at him for a second, seeming to not register what he just said before it's suddenly them bombarding him with questions, How far did you go? What was it like? The ghosts are friendly? Why did they take to you as a maternal figure? Was it safe? Were you safe? Where are the ghosts now?
"Mom, Dad!" Jazz shouts, causing the already reeling Danny to flinch, their parents pause their questioning before apologizing quietly, "We don't know where they are, we left them in the lab but they fled when you came downstairs,"
"I can go get them," Danny says quietly, quickly escaping the situation, he hears Jazz stop them from following him.
-=-
"Dani, Dan!" Danny shouts into the ghost zone once he's gone through the portal, floating in his ghost form. He doesn't get a response, so he calls again, moving further into the zone. Eventually he spots the bright white flames of Dan's hair and hears Dani's crying, "Guys?" Danny calls one more time, both of them jump up from what was very close to cuddling and turn to him.
"Mom!" Dani shouts, flying into him and sending them both spinning a few feet into the zone, "What happened?!"
"We saw Maddie and Jack come downstairs and left," Dan explains quickly, his voice a low rumble.
"It's alright, that was smart, but you guys have to come back now," Danny lets go of Dani, "You're going to meet my parents, and if they try and kill you we can live in the Ghost Zone for the rest of our lives," he laughs slightly, but it does nothing to ease the fear in both his kids' eyes.
"Okay, whatever," Dan grumbles, crossing his arms and floating over towards them, somehow seeming smaller than his usually bulkiness, Dani does nothing to mask her fear, and just nods slightly, curling inwards probably unintentionally.
Danny gives them a reassuring smile and begins the trip back to the portal with them.
-=-
Upon returning Danny made sure to transform before he went into the portal, so as to not give away another secret on top of his unintentional kids. It takes a minute for Dani and Dan to follow him, but eventually they do and they find Maddie, Jack and Jazz on the other side.
"Mom, Dad, this is Dan," he gestures to said character, "And Danielle, they're, uh,"
"We're Phantom's clones, who's first name is Danny so we've got similar names to him," Dani pipes up, talking a bit too fast for it to seem like anything but a lie but Jack and Maddie don't ask any more questions.
"And you.. aren't going to kill us or hurt us?" Dan asks, closest to the portal and refusing to come any closer in case they decide to try and kill them.
Maddie and Jack seem incredibly hesitant, before Maddie assures them, "No, of course not sweetie," she smiles gently, Danny looks back at his kids, "Uhm, you guys have been living in the guest room?" she asks, the kids nod, "Well, then I don't have to make you a room at least," she smiles awkwardly.
Dani and Dan's eyes widen significantly, "We can stay?!" Dani exclaims, flying higher into the air in excitement.
"Well, of course! You're like.. our adopted ghost grandkids!" Jack exclaims, throwing his arms out. Dani squeals excitedly.
Dan floats up next to Dani, "Do we have to call them grandma and grandpa?" he whisper to her, and Danny snorts when he hears it, covering his mouth. Dani giggles as well.
"I mean, I might," she shrugs, keeping her voice low, "We already call Jazz auntie," Dan nods in response, keeping his eyes trained on the adults.
"Thank you," he calls to them, "for not killing us," Danny and Dani both give him wide eyes, neither of them hear him act so sincere very often.
Maddie and Jack just give him a smile before Jazz claps her hands, "Who wants to make Pancakes?"
"Oh, no! Last time you let them make pancakes you burned down the kitchen!" Danny exclaims.
"But, mom! We fixed it in the end!" Dani whines, "Plus Jazz will be helping!"
"Absolutely not! If anybody is making pancakes, it's gonna be Jazz and Jazz alone," he decides, "I will not have you two burning the house down right after you get accepted into it,"
Maddie giggles quietly at the fact that Danny of all people is really acting like a parent, and how casual the fact he's the mom to two ghost kids is for him and Jazz. Jack smiles fondly as they argue, Dan and Dani beginning to pick on each other's cooking skill, Jazz giggling and Danny looking absolutely exhausted.
It's a happy ending, and that's all anyone ever needs.

Little Pistols - The Killing Type
Chapter 5
First Previous Next
So more from Tim here. A look into how dark he's gotten, if you will. I promise, this is showing more the extremes of how far he's willing to go. Not how he is on the day to day. But, I digress. Mari will be the next chapter.
Btw, to anyone I haven't replied to on comments, I see you! I appreciate you very much, I've just lost track (and time) please know I still am very grateful to for your thoughts and support!

~---~
The first time Tim tried his newest method of fighting crime, he felt exhilarated. Freed. Able to breathe freely and know he made an actual difference. Felt justified and right. Coming home to someone who wouldn't condemn him for it only made it better.
"How're you holding up, babybird?" Jason idly inquired as the other slid through the front door and started to kick off his shoes and shrug off a jacket.
"Fine. Better than fine, really. I think I understand  now, what you meant before."
"Plan on elaborating, Timmers?" Jason quirked a brow, hands stilling on a book page, mid-turn.
"Sometimes, just scaring people isn't enough. Sometimes striking fear of repercussions or enforcing them won't stop bad people from doing bad things."
"Yeah?" He glanced up, watching Tim as he engaged the security system and picked his way over towards the armchair perpendicular to Jason where his laptop waited.
"Mm. Every now and then, some of these people need to be taken out of commision entirely. I understand that now."
"Tim, you trying to tell me you're killing now?"
He felt how Jason's look turned sceptical, but appraising.
"Yeah, total murder bunny now, wanna see my collection of decapitated heads? I got a new duffle bag to match yours" He drew out, gaze flat.
"Fuck off," Jay shook his head, mumbling to himself, "Should've known you'd never let that go," then raised his voice back again, "Okay, so if not taking them out of their rotten misery, how have you magically cured them, oh perfect one."
A vindictive little smirk lit the side of his mouth as he turned on his laptop, eyes cutting to his companion with a calculating look, "You of all people know how few of our asylum patients are actually mentally ill in a way that would justify their actions."
"Still say the insanity plea should only stand for recently mind controlled or Lazarus dipped, the poor bastards. Mental Disabilities don't equate violent people. It's such a fucking rude stigma to paint on people who actually have them. Add on that the regular patients are sharing space with actual criminals and of course no one willingly admits themselves, so the people who need the help aren't getting any. Also, if you are going to allow the plea for so many of them, then fund these damn places properly to help them, not just hold them captive until they get bored and escape," Jason went off, book forgone in preference for one of his more impassioned rants.
Tim indulged him for the moment, agreeing but having already heard twenty variations of the same speech, before cutting in towards the end, "Yes well, I figure if they're going to receive the charge anyways, I might as well help them make it more believable, right? So why not give them that little push."
That really caught the other's attention, drawing him in to properly lean over the space between them, elbows propped on knees and fingers laced in the space between as he watched Tim with a curious smile, "What'd you get up to, little bird?"
Clicking through the encrypted files he'd transferred over just tonight, he pulled up a video feed. Inside, bodies were attacking each other, another curled up in the corner, one banging its head against a wall away from the others. They weren't easily distinguishable from one another in their state. Tim felt Jason lean to the side to peak at the screen, brows rising as a whistle left his lips.
"They killed your friend, right?" He grimaced after the words but didn't apologize, for which Tim was grateful.
"Yeah. The flash rogues."
"Why are they..?"
"Psychological torture. They're afraid to leave the room, even though it's unlocked. They're afraid of each other. Of the world. What they do now is up to them. Leave the room and live on paralyzed by fear or stay there and tear themselves apart. I won't kill people. I don't have it in me. But their actions are their own. What do you think?"
Jason's eyes were kind of wide and off guard as he stared at him, "I think you might be the fucked up one here, Tim. Not to say I don't get it, but shit, that's just brutal."
"Eh, killing them seems to lack in proper punishment. It's just getting rid of the problem without making them face the consequences. No need to make a deal of it anyways, not like I put them through anything we haven't survived ourselves."
That got a bark of laughter as Jason relaxed back into the couch, reopening the book. Hm. Through the Looking Glass today. "Well in that case, if they can't handle it like we can, that's their problem," Tim grinned at his conclusion, "glad you found your own way of working. It's about damn time you decided your own morals."
Silence fell over the room, "Jay, did you forget it was your turn to make dinner?"
"... No?"
Okay, so it hadn't always been this way. They started off kilter and unsure and lost. Tim, an absolute mess in his grief and lack of direction, Jason freshly returned to Gotham again and wanting to help, but not knowing how with the distance between them.
He knew Jason had offered a position to him in the past, but that'd been within the violence and cruelty. With the pits still lingering and the desire to take him away from Bruce. He knew Jason saw him as an asset to his own agenda then, strictly professional. Now though, it came with personal attachments, shared space, a camaraderie that couldn't be forced. They were both replaced. Both seen as not good enough, outcasts of the family. Both broken in their own ways.
It was like chewing on shattered glass, trying to find footing around each other.
Jay brought him back to a lesser safe house, had let him stay there. Help gather intel on his cases, play his own personal Oracle at times. The first time Tim watched the Red Hood kill from the helmet's camera, he nearly threw up.
He let him teach Tim how to shoot, the ins and outs of every gun the man had on hand. Learned exactly what each was capable of. Unfortunately for Hood, he wasn't capable of wielding them against anyone. Not really.
It took months before Red Hood tried to bring him out into the nightlife, partly due to his own hesitance to chance a run in with the new Batman and Robin. But he let himself be led out anyways. A small patrol of the Bowery and down into Crime Alley then back. When all went smoothly, Tim felt himself relax into the new routine. By the third outing, he officially took up his new title. Red Robin.
However, Tim still hadn't broke out of the moral code ingrained into him for so long.
It took really stopping, really taking the time to watch Hood as he interacted with the girls on the corner or the kids that hid in the night, just as he once had, to fully understand what motivated his partner. It took the reminder of his own loss to determine his need for a stronger method.
It was sheer dumb luck that he decided this before having tracked down the flash rogues. That it was perfectly timed for him to experiment on people he wouldn't regret ruining. That upon telling Jason that he needed to disappear for a little while, the other had agreed readily, with no argument nor lecture. Like true equals.
It took longer to perfect his style. How much to hold back or not depending on who they were up against. If Jason chose to kill them, he didn't stand in the way unless it was uncalled for. But if Jason chose not to, Tim decided how far they went with each rogue they encountered. They had a system and it worked. They worked. When the two of them hit the darkened world before them, they painted it with Red and Red and the true scum of the city learned a new type of fear.

🔥 Brandon Foster and why you hate him so much (I've never heard of him btw)
Wow, thank you for giving me this opportunity to rant about a character you’ve never heard of.
Brandon Foster is a character from a show called The Fosters (2013-2018) about a family consisting of two lesbian moms, two adopted kids, two foster kids, and one biological son from a previous marriage. Brandon is the bio son and his main plotline in the first two and a half seasons involves a romance with Callie, his new foster sister. Now, it might not surprise you to learn that this is by far the worst plot line on the show, not just because of its general ickiness, but because it also has a tendency to drag down all the actually fun, interesting stuff with it. Like, you’re having a good time watching your gay family drama, and suddenly it’s invaded by a terrible hetero soap opera plot and you can’t enjoy yourself anymore.
So obviously Brandon’s involvement in all that definitely did not endear him to me, but that’s not why I hate him. I mean, Callie’s also a part of that monstrosity, and I like her fine (which is honestly kind of a hot take, because as far as I can tell, she is not a particularly well liked character). My issue with Brandon is not really the fact of his involvement in that storyline, but how he handles himself in it. Like for example, this is an excerpt from episode 5, after the first time Callie rejects his advances:
Brandon: I don't want you dating Wyatt because I don't want you dating anyone.
Callie: I can't ... I can't do this.
Brandon: Well, too bad.
Callie: Even having this conversation could get me and Jude kicked out of the house.
Brandon: That would never happen.
It’s difficult for me to express why I find this conversation so rage inducing. I mean, there’s some typical awful “nice guy” stuff like his refusal to take no for answer in the grossest, most entitled way possible (like, honestly, what kind of bullshit response is “well, too bad”?). But where it really enters inexcusable territory for me is when Callie literally tells him that she can’t be with him because she doesn’t want to risk her and her little brother being kicked out of the only safe home they’ve lived in in years (and btw, Brandon is aware at this point that their previous foster parent was physically abusive and once threatened them with a gun). And yet, somehow, Brandon continues to disregard her. I’ve seen people try to defend his behavior because, well, he’s just a dumb teenager, he doesn’t know what he’s saying, but I just genuinely don’t see how that could possibly explain the lack of basic empathy for Callie’s predicament. It’s not just that he doesn’t understand where she’s coming from. She literally explains to him why this situation is so dangerous for her and he just doesn’t care.
And that’s just one scene! Brandon is such a selfish entitled piece of shit that if I had to list every awful thing he’s ever done, this post would be even more novel length than it already is. So for the sake of brevity, I'll just say that in general, Brandon consistently does awful, often illegal shit, for which he rarely experiences any consequences. He also has a creepy tendency to go after emotionally vulnerable women that I find absolutely repulsive.
But the real issue with Brandon isn’t necessarily the things he does, but how the show frames him. Brandon is presented as a sympathetic character. I’m supposed to feel for him on the rare occasion when he experiences a consequence. I’m not supposed to hate him with a fiery passion when he dismisses the very real danger that the girl he supposedly loves faces while she’s in the system. I’m supposed to understand where he’s coming from when his response to something bad happening to his mom is to call his adopted siblings not a “real” part of the family. I’m supposed to sympathize with his decision to participate in a fake ID business (and commit several felonies in the process) just because he’s bitter that Callie broke up with him because she couldn’t get adopted by his moms if she was also his girlfriend. (All of these examples are from season 1 btw, he’s done so much worse.) And that’s really the problem, because none of his behaviors are remotely sympathetic. His motivations are always selfish and his actions are often abhorrent, and the fact that the show expects me to care about him even a little bit makes me truly angry.
Anyway, yeah, I don’t like him.

Creative Writing Case Study: Blackwall
Tumblr media
Look m8′s, I hate this man with a burning passion from a creative writing stance because his story was executed SO BADLY it just got fucking r u i n e d. (I am breaking it up with gifs because it looks nice)
Spoils, btw
Him masquareding as a dead man is COOL. Him trying to pretend to be a warden is COOL. Him hiding from his deep dark murder past is COOL.
What’s NOT COOL is it just happening so off screen.
The writers made a character choice that after an drunk experience, Blackwall feels so guilty for his actions he decides to turn himself in. Okay okay okay, I get where we’re coming from. We want to have Blackwall in a guilty, redemption positive light. The groundwork here is so that if a player wants to redeem Blackwall, they’re not just siding with a cold homocidal murderer. Giving him a guilty conscious allows the player to find a justification to let him live.
But it just felt so out of left field, and here’s why:
Tumblr media
In creative writing, for the plot twist or the story beat to pay off, it HAS to be touched on beforehand. We call this planting the gun. It’s a little different than Chekov’s Gun, kind of it in reverse: If you want the main character to have a gun in act 3, you need to put a gun in the setting in act 1 so the reader know’s its there.
When writers fail to do this, I typically refer to it as “The Law of Convenience” The plot point/device on screen apparaits with no prior mention or forshadowing, as if it didn’t exist until this very moment, making it a very convienient plot point/device”
( I think this is acutally called a Deus Ex Machina, but I played Deus Ex so it always throws me off. )
Where there is good subtle moves in Blackwall’s Dialogue that forshadow he’s not a Grey Warden, there’s  n o t h i n g  forshadowing him being Rainer. No gun was planted in Act 1, and so now it feels weird and out of left field that suddenly, Blackwall is a murderer genreal dude. The dude he steps in to save in that scene isn’t even mentioned or dotted on or anything. The massacre is never mentioned until this point, either. N o t h i n g about Blackwall’s story exists until it needs to, and that isn’t good writing.
We don’t have anyone in Orlais discussing Rainer. THAT would have been good planting. That awful man that they gossiped about during the ball? He’s in YOUR party!
Could you imagine in Adament if you mentioned Blackwall and everyone said Blackwall was dead and THAT’s how you found out something was up which could have led to the Rainer Reveal?. Or if a soldier came trying to kill Blackwall, or if Sera’s PEOPLE in that area told her about Rainer becuase of the massacre? Like, there’s so many ways to get this information without it being a sad exposition.
Leliana’s a spymaster, for crying out loud.
My other problem with Blackwall’s narrative is that it tells, not shows. Blackwall goes to prison and he just tells us sitting in the cell what he did. There’s no action, no drama to the scene. Just exposition followed by a decision. They write up a reason why he’s there (so one of his soldiers doesn’t take the fall for his crime) and yyayaya.
if you find out outside of this, like through Leliana, you only have one side of the story, and fuck, might even arrest Blackwall yourself because you don’t know about the guilt yet. That’s drama! G o o d  s h i t.  OMG, the Inquisitor could think he KILLED Blackwall.
Tumblr media
If it got revealed at Adament, that would have been d r a m a t i c. ESPEICALLY if Blackwall was in your party. The way to pull that off would be that up until then, Blackwall HAS to join the inqusition, and he can’t be kicked out until after.
These are subtle background things that Dragon Age did before in Dragon Age II, where Anders, Isabella, Varric, Merril, Carver, Bethany, and Aveline join your party no matter what. Anders is the one I point to here, because he’s also a Grey Warden. So like, Leliana could have said “Blackwall is staynig to help because we should have a Grey Warden just in case things go south” and that can pay off for the Archdemon, and actually would forshadow the archdemon.
Tumblr media
If you want to do something like Blackwall’s narrative, here is my advice:
- Unreliability. If other people told us about Blackwall’s, we make wrong conclusions and make mistakes and it involves us more than him just sitting in a prison and telling us what happened. There’s drama in misinformation.
- Plant the gun. If we want him to get arrested in Act 3, we need to know about Rainer in act 1. Passing Dialogue in appropriate areas, maybe there’s a soldier who was under his command that you can interact with in Haven. There could be even more subtle, Blackwall hates when he’s in Orlais. He doesn’t want to go to the ball, etc. We need to know about the massacre, we need to know about the soldier getting falsely accused somehow. Not all of these things need to be planted, but some of them at least so when it does happen, the player can connect the pieces.
- The Reveal has to be on point. This whole story falls apart if the reveal isn’t good, which is exactly what happened in Blackwalls story. It’s fine to make him guilty, but there’s nothing there in a conversation at a prison with all this expostition.
- You HAVE to make Blackwall  feel guilty if you want him to live. There’s a lot of good people in the world who couldn’t justify Blackwall if he didn’t legitimently feel bad for his actions. Doing the story any other way without Blackwall turning himself in makes this harder, but it’s going to be hard, you’re justifying a murderer. If I could change the narrative, I’d have made a wartable mission that someone is being hanged in VR for the crime Blackwall admitted to, and Blackwall begs you to turn him in so the man doesn’t get killed. Like, that’s a good show of a changed man.
Tumblr media
Good Things About Blackwall
1. Him not being a Grey Warden was executed well. Blackwall is consistently vague and has a lie prepared for every question, which makes sense because it’s a false idenity
2. “Scale the Wall” is fucking hilarious
Eh, that’s all I really got. I am a little dissapointed that I don’t have much for him. He’s just not my favorite.
These are just my opinions, btw. I am God or the law of creative writing, this is just how I feel, but I do study this at University so I feel like I have a small handle on this type of stuff? Tell me what you think about Blackwall. and if you’re a Blackwall lover, like why? I don’t see his appeal and  I guess it would be funky to learn.

Watching old videos with Bdubs and Etho is an experience so anyways have an AU around Survival of the Fittest and Fly Boys
Etho, Doc, Bdubs and Keralis has seen and handled a gun before with different levels of comfort.
Bdubs is a pilot and a pretty decent one at that, he has a licence.
Etho is a pretty fucking good flier..... but he flies illegally and doesn’t have a licence. He’s like Grian with an elytra but with planes.
Etho and Doc have met up a few times to wonder about how a gun could be made in the hermitlands, not for using of course, just for curiosity.
When Mumbo shows the gang the gun Grian (who remembers YHS) made the SOF crew get slightly more worried than the rest of the hermits.
Etho laments the inability to make flying machines into planes.
Doc once tried to make both his arms into guns but it backfired and it took a month to fix him (btw Docs skin without a lab coat is weird as hell to see, it has two robo arms dude)
Keralis really hates zombies, not only because that whole being raised from the dead for season 2 thing but because he got mauled to death by them in season 1
All of them, but most frequently Etho, when walking through sweet berry bushes is known to forget themselves and warn for bear traps
Etho and Bdubs talk about GenericB a lot and Beef is so fucking confused because he knows he’s heard the name SOMEWHERE
Keralis is the first one in the crew to sit down with Grian to ask how he got the idea for the gun and the first hermit to actually properly make Grian promise to never make another one
Bdubs didn’t remember SOF during season 5 and Doc and Etho are very happy for that
Bdubs once covered Keralis in bushes, first Keralis thought it was a prank cuz haha booshes then Bdubs just went “ghillie suit” and left
Keralis has called Iskall Anders before by mistake

First of all idk if pb Can handle the topics at all especially the ones of sexual orientation since they ignore the actual fact multiple persons at the same age of the mc(edit:someone has corrected me-thank you btw- and said mc is around 17-18) are actually discovering both gender identity and their sexual orientation(ignoring both wlw players and still not giving chance for a choosing pronouns for the mc or making a male mc). Also don’t forget they again gender locked the game rip every single guy who want to be a mlm they get crumbs along side wlw players and fellows nb. And about the racial issue let’s remember all characters that are lis or family can be white if the players want it most likely some would have a all white cast also don’t forget what is the issue of Open heart and the whole issue of their idea of killing two characters that aren’t white when BLM movement was at its peak
Hell at the age of 12 I was terrified of dreaming of kissing girls and holding their hands, also while it is a good intention of making a subject in this topics it’s a double edge sword Bc one SOME might say pb IS trying to change(idk if anyone has that opinion) and the other who are older and have had this experience can use the two major subject of bing how to say it uhhhh euri al of how would it be handled(also ignoring the fact that until now I only KNOW there is two male lis and idk if the friend would be one :()
Also the part of the drug selling is so silly(at least for me idk others) since it’s so different of where I live and my brothers and cousins went to school with persons who sold drugs, who either ignore you Bc ur not gonna buy their shit or ask you and then when you say no they either ask you to leave you or the worst outcome get into a fight which most likely means them having a gun(again not American)
Si far the story came so cliche to me best friend dates crush, you date bad local boy who protect you and that will make the crush jealous and wants you now, your friend either will try to destroy you or she reveal that she is dating crush boy Bc she is afraid of liking girls. Also feels like Ride or die but this time ur not prolly become a criminal and Noah prolly has a sad background but not criminal enough. Also can i get a fucking fat f for the mc?she didn’t got send to the principal office for wearing something against prolly most school rules she even showed her ankles and shoulders
I don’t hate it nor it’s my favorite game, am gonna be critical tho since like I being saying some ppl had extremely difficult times with their sexual orientation and gender indentity along side dealing with racial issues today.

Agents of SHIELD Season 1 Rewatch Update
Ok so I’m having a difficult time remembering what it was that made me hate this show so much (aside from the unforgivable Minecraft reference) and stop watching in Season 1.
Just got through ep 14 and holy cow, I’m honestly not sure whether the storylines for seasons 2, 3, and 4 were planned this far in advance, but if they were then these folks did such an overwhelmingly good job of keeping their eye on the ball.
Best I can figure, I’m having a good time on this attempt thanks to prequel-goggles.  I already know where this story is going, who these people will become and what’s going to make them into what they will be, and I can appreciate this older storyline in light of the circumstances it precedes -- rather than for what it is without that context.
(It certainly helps that some of the dumber stuff is already starting to be replaced by the better stuff, like it’s ep 15 and the “night-night gun” was just replaced by the much more palatable “icer,” and they haven’t tried to call the individual dwarves by name for ages now)
Also there’s some pretty good cinematography, the graphics are really respectable, watching this found family slowly realize how much they love each other is sooo charming, and the affectations required of a MCU-spin-off-sci-fi-spy-show are really well balanced with the character drama which is its true heart.
I know ep 1x08 (”The Well”) is six and a half years old so maybe spoiler warnings are not necessarily required but here we go
Remember when Thor 2 came out and then this show had to earn its stripes as co-existing in the MCU so they had to address the fact that aliens ripped up London and the whole world knows about it?
Not being able to afford the likes of Chris Hemsworth was something they obviously had to work around, and plopping in that rando dweeby Asgardian as a twist was definitely one way to do it.
But the real showstopper is that the through-line of the episode is the examination of the similarities and differences of Ward and May, especially once they both come in contact with the Asgardian rage-stick.
Seeing Ward nearly incapacitated by his traumatic childhood memories serves two important purposes.  First, it makes some good strides towards humanizing the man, who until now has been that hot-and-cocky kind of character that just expects to appeal to an audience but hasn’t yet earned any appeal whatsoever.  By now, we’ve had a reference to his toxic dynamic with his older/younger brothers, and seeing him reliving his experience with the well suddenly opens him up and gives some dimension to that tall-dark-handsome cardboard cutout.
Second, those experiences are a really good twist!!  When it’s revealed that he’s not remembering being tortured in a well by his brother, he’s remembering allowing his brother to torture his other brother down a well and not having the guts to do anything about it.  It’s a good one-two punch because you weren’t expecting to pity the guy, and now that you’ve spent twenty minutes pitying him for being victimized, you get to grapple with the much more complex emotion of the kid!Ward not knowing how to get out of this lose-lose situation and understanding that his current character must be in some way informed by this regret and guilt.
THIRD, after seeing Ward go through all this and barely hold it together, we get to see how May handles this level of relive-your-worst-trauma-and-incinerate-yourself-with-unbridled-rage when she has to pick up the rage-stick and .... instead of it leaving her on the ground like it’s just done to Ward, she somehow experiences 0.00000% change in personality or capability WhatSoEver.
She not only isn’t affected, she summons all the broken pieces of rage-stick and effortlessly wields the fully formed berzerker staff to defeat the rest of the baddies single-handed.  It says so much about her character, about the depths of the trauma that sent her to the place we met her in in the pilot.  We still don’t know what happened, but this her “my secret is I’m always angry” moment, and it’s a  level of anger has been repeatedly and thoroughly cataloged throughout the episode so far.
It also gives these fools something to bond over.  And while I’m seriously disinterested in their weird little Thing that didn’t go anywhere and didn’t really impact much, it was a nice way to avoid progress in the “Skye’s falling for her SO” storyline that I don’t care for either.
But Skye makes her move in this episode!  She and Ward dance around the possibility that maybe they’re into each other and they could possibly move from antagonistic strangers to folks who are a little into each other.  But he does the gentle thing and turns her down! (without closing the door entirely, I must add)  And then he wanders off on his own and ... May’s wandering off on her own ... and they share some micro expressions and then, seriously you guys this sequence is so tasteful and understated, just look:
Ward leaves Skye at the bar with a parting “I’m beat, another time, maybe,” and off her wistful look we cut directly to this chiaroscuro hallway.
Tumblr media
Ward enters the frame, starts unlocking his hotel room. He's just another monochrome shape in this monochrome place.
Tumblr media
But then there’s May entering the shot at the far end of the hallway, and her motion and his turning to look at her frames her monochrome shape in this nice little white triangle between him and her door.
Tumblr media
And there’s a tasty little rack focus that pulls the instant she passes in front of the door, making sure our attention is on her and the little white label of her bottle that really pops in the sea of black.
Tumblr media
By this point in time, we’ve been shown, graphically, intimately, a dark shadow in his past, and we’ve been shown the physical and emotional toll its taken on him (an insight provided by the magic alien macguffin, btw).  We haven’t been told anything, we experienced his experiences with him via the power of cinema.  Her specific trauma is still a mystery at this point, but we’ve been given enough information to understand and appreciate its effects on her character.  So not only can we sympathize with Ward now, we can sympathize with his empathy for May in this moment.
Tumblr media
She catches him looking.
Tumblr media
I mentioned micro expressions and screenshots do not do these performances justice.  How does one catch in a single frame the millisecond that an eyebrow ticks in asking a silent question?
Tumblr media
Typical for her, May’s answer is also communicated through body language.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From that canted, inviting look, we pan down as she unlocks her door and enters.  She passes through the frame and disappears inside, after giving us a reminder that her plans are to apply alcohol to her issues.  (Remember that Ward turned down Skye’s invitation at a bar of all places)
Tumblr media
Oh, and what has our framing left us to contemplate?  Is that a bed I see in there?  (Remember that Ward turned down Skye’s invitation)  Let me point out that this shot of just the bed after May walks by is on screen by itself for maybe a fraction of a second.  Just a suggestion of a thing, really.
Tumblr media
Ward contemplates.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love returning to this shot because it’s literally the same set up, and my instant reaction is that it’s another insert, a POV shot, and I fully expect to return to the single shot on Ward to discover his decision the second he makes it.
Tumblr media
INSTEAD.  Ward walks immediately into THIS FRAME, too, black-shape-on-white-shape in the same way May was introduced to this scene.  And we stay here as he closes the door behind him ...
Tumblr media
Letting us know everything we need to know without a single word needing to be spoken.
Tumblr media
Another fraction of a frame dwelling on that shot and then immediately fade to black.  Credits.  Show’s over, folks.
Tumblr media
And not that there’s any particular meaning in it, but they were super careful to minimize what colors were allowed to appear in this sequence?  Like there’s a particular sort of green in that weird armchair, which sort of matches the green-glass of her bottle.  And there’s the red of the fire alarm fixtures which more or less matches the red of his, y’know, fresh facial wounds.  EVERYTHING else (other than, I guess, their skin tones) falls somewhere along the white-black spectrum.  NICE.  BEAUTIFUL.  I LIKE IT A LOT.
And the Netflix synopsis for this episode is “In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Thor: the Dark World, Coulson and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team try to pick up the pieces.”  1) I’m realizing that they literally go around picking up pieces of the rage-stick and that’s hilarious but mostly I mean to say 2) this MCU-tie-in episode could have met the brief being as vapid and non-impactful as that blurb makes it sound.  But it took the opportunity to open up its characters for us to see their gooey insides, and hell they picked two of the best characters to dig into for this one, considering Ward’s tragic backstory plays as both a misdirect and actual inciting incident for his betrayal of SHIELD, and May’s tragic backstory feeds a couple of B-plots this season as well as being the major catalyst for a lot what happens in season FOUR.  SEASON FOUR, PEOPLE.  THE SEEDS ARE WAY BACK HERE IN SEASON ONE.
REMEMBER HOW THESE CHARACTERS WERE INTRODUCED THOUGH??  I DO, I JUST WATCHED THE PILOT LIKE YESTERDAY.  WE MEET WARD FULLY ENSCONCED IN HIS GUISE OF SHIELD BADASS SUPERSTAR; HE IS LITERALLY ASKED TO EXPLAIN WHAT SHIELD MEANS TO HIM, AND WE GET TO HEAR THE FIRST OF HIS MANY LIES.  WE MEET MAY IN HER OWN PERSONALLY-DESIGNED WHITE-COLLAR HELL, TURNING COULSON’S OFFER DOWN THE SECOND SHE HEARS HIS VOICE BECAUSE SHE’D RATHER STAPLE DOCUMENTS FOR ETERNITY THAN BE OUT IN THE FIELD WHERE SHE CAN MAKE ANOTHER MISTAKE LIKE THE ONE SHE CAN’T FORGIVE HERSELF FOR.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  This show knows how to weave a character-driven story, and it’s done it for six seasons straight, juggling constantly evolving -- grounded, nuanced, impactful -- character arcs with the external factors (Thor: The Dark World, for one) that force certain narrative decisions.
(until they decide to ignore those factors altogether, lol, I’m looking at you, season 5, you wacky maverick you)

K now you got me curious about that. I kinda assumed P5MC would’ve been stronger then P4 MC (P3MC beats them both no doubt from me) so why do you say that P4MC is stronger?
Was gonna make a separate post when I had time but now is a time as any XU (btw I still dunno why people think P5MC is stronger, is it cause of the gym? His Phantom Thieving? The gun? Stanael’s gun? The Yaldy scene? I really wanna read people’s reasons but I have a feeling it’s those and.....if that’s it then no one is paying attention to poor P4MC then ;w;)
So that post was more lore driven than gameplay driven just a heads up (gameplay it’s a lot more complicated because we have to look at like.....a bunch of different entries and lay down ground rules for those, cause like P3P!MC/FeMC vs P4MC vs P5MC is.....a lot more fair considering the former can’t use fusions due to them being items....assuming we can’t use items). Just want to clarify before I explain what I mean is lore wise (I’ll compare the Personas down below but I’ll try to keep it from crossing to much into the gameplay meta line). And this is excluding Royal/Scramble (cause....not everyone knows that stuff yet, and I need to reevaluate things myself and I just haven’t been able to yet XU). But man, people really do underestimate P4MC ;w;
Now then, without Personas they are probably about even, like if they got into a fist fight they could probably end in a tie (but my money is still on P4MC if I had to choose cause he gets back up). P4MC seems to be taller (by a few in) and a more buff build, while P5MC is more of a slim build (but is probs more agile). And this is regardless if they are in the Metaverse, TV World, or the Real World (cause he should get an outfit in the Metaverse, plus Personas seem to give the user great physical strength regardless if it’s a Metaverse setting or not). That being said, P5MC does have akido(?), but it’s self trained and that’s if he goes to the gym. But, P4MC trains with Chie (which he probably did cause they all probs maxed their SLs/CoOps, but Ren might not have gone to the gym), and also stays in shape thanks to 1) fighting Shadows and 2) his sports club SL (this is assuming we are only looking at their school time selves, Adult!P4MC is unknown atm), so it’s not like he’s out of shape himself. P4MC also has crazier and bigger fish too (also needed to complete an SL), so that could be deemed as a work out compared to P5MC’s fishing.
If we’re looking at initial Personas (which is what they are most likely gonna run with cause of how the spinoffs handle P4/5), P4MC has the upper hand thanks to resisting Dark (aka curse) (btw Minato/Hamu would probs go down first in an initial only Persona fight, cause they’d be weak to P5MC and then P4MC could/would probs beat P5MC thanks to resisting the other’s attack).
Ultimate Persona is a bit more....I wouldn’t say even, but there’s strengths and weaknesses to both sides. Satanael has the upper hand with a “survive one attack” ability, resists everything but almighty, heatriser, and can harm INO via physical (and maaaaybe psy/nuke...it’s unclear how Atlus wants to treat INO in this regard). INO has better stats (and can achieve better stats than Satanael), can deal BIG almighty damage (thanks to mine charge, Satanael doesn’t have a charge), and while he doesn’t resist Light/Dark/Alimighty he does have a big evasion ability. I’d say INO could also be hit by PSY and Nuke thanks to PQ2 (which still makes no sense???? why didn’t they add resist in those categories to all the other ult Personas ??? XP) but P5R shows INO resisting those now so we gonna go with that....because that makes more sense (it makes sense for them to resist Psy and Nuke because they resist all elemental damage but since those didn’t exist, you could assume they could resist it cause it falls under elemental damage...but PQ2 fudges it up for some reason XP), I mean P5R also made him more of a beast since it seems like INO resists Phys too but I won’t include that. I mean if you wanna say he can be hit by Nuke fine, one more thing INO can be hit with....BUT INO also has a ult attack and Satanael doesn’t. Which, while Satanael and INO could be going toe to toe for awhile, INO might be able to deliver the final blow that Satanael can’t.
Which leads into why....P4MC should win. He’s just shown he’s stronger in his stories. He wins because of his own power that made him stronger. P5MC doesn’t win via his own power. He wins because he receives outside help more often than not (which isn’t bad, I’m not saying having help is bad, but in a hypothetical 1v1....it doesn’t bode well for him). Against Yaldy he got a freaking buff from the cognitive world....A TEMP BUFF MIND YOU! THANKS TO COGNITION! It’s such BS! Yes, P3/4MC they received their power because of their bonds, their connections, MC’s are their friends’ power as much as they are power for the MC’s. P3/4MC could only get that strong because of their friends. It’s because of their own effort and will to protect the ones they care about is the reason they win......P5MC it’s because of the public cheering for them for like 5 min for a temp buff cause of cognition (and it def doesn’t continue to last cause of how the meter goes down to 50% later irl). Even with cognition on P5MC’s side, it’s probably not a whole lot to actually do anything beneficial for him like with Yaldy. P3/4 is about power of friendship and relationships. P5 is about the power of convenience and plot devices. Buncha bullshit that he gets handed the World Arcana like that, not even his own power saved the world (he doesn’t even have a World Arcana Persona! No one ever talks about that what’s P5MC’s World Persona?! P4 has INO, P3 has a finger 8U What’s P5′s????)
There’s also the fact P4MC can use Myriads of Truth outside of Izanami, and it can hurt people outside of her too (we know this thanks to Arena). Satanael can’t use his Sinful Shell (at least at this point in time, watch Atlus jk my post when Arena 3 comes out, I’m already prepared for it >8V I bet Atlus’ reason won’t even make sense because->) because it’s only used in the 100% cognition scene! Satanael can only be that powerful and can only use that move thanks to cognition! But you see, P4MC is Mr. Bond Master, he’s strong cause of his bonds, every handshake with a new person=him getting more powerful (half jk). 8U But this drive also shows that even if he loses a fight, he gets right back up because he wants to protect his friends (as seen post-Liz fight in Liz’s route in Arena). Like this is a big thing P4MC has that I think people overlook, this bastard has A LOT of willpower. Whenever that word is brought up, only Tatsuya (you know defying time and reality to keep his memories) and P3MCs (staying alive for like two months to keep their promise) are ever mentioned (and don’t get me wrong, those are amazing feats too! All three/four, FeMC/P3MC are technically two people, of these people deserve the top 3 will power spot), but gd P4MC has it too. After getting his ass handed to him by Liz, he got right back up and was like “round two!” and power starts to flow through him that it takes Liz aback! Or his most amazing feat, coming back from the freaking underworld (aka basically death), just will his ass right back in front of Izanami and then Izanami is unable to freaking kill him (he hangs onto 1 HP like a boss, hell if he can do this against P3MC it’s possible for him to even come out on top of that fight). Izanami literally says “can the will of so few surpass that of all mankind?!” His (and IT’s) determination is one that surpasses all of mankind! Compare that to P5MC, who defeated Yaldy because of his bond with his CoOps-oh wait no it’s cause of a BS temp power buff the public gave him my mistake. P3/4: “We know what’s best for mankind! And it’s not freaking death! Our will power will surpass mankind!” P5: “Y-yeah same! But we’re gonna not succeed on our own and get bailed out by the public, only for them to half revert back to their same old ways despite....changing for us for a hot second...wait what?”
P4MC (depending on where in the timeline we have him and P5MC facing off), he’s had more experience too. Not only has he beaten 7ish gods/god avatars (to P5MC’s.......looking at all the P5 entries and without spoilers....possibly 3ish/4ish gods/godly avatars/god level stuff), he’s also faced off with 2 robots and what is basically a super soldier (aka Sho), he’s also fought against a lot of SEES who are seasoned fighters and had ult personas vs his initial persona (and won in some cases, or held his own A LOT, depends on the timeline/route). Oh and has fought more VR people/the VR people more times (P4/G, PQ1, PQ2, and...maybe Arena/Ultimax depends on the route). While P5 is catching up (kinda, we aren’t comparing how a lot of those final battles were won with the final blow), P4MC still has the most experience.
The only way P5MC can win if it’s 1V4+, P5MC has access to the VR and can use multiple Personas and P4MC can’t, P5MC has 100% cognition on (not possible, and would be a real ass pull), P4MC is crippled beyond belief (even then I’d still expect him to win cause he doesn’t give up).
So yeah. P4MC has more willpower, his Personas seem to have an advantage (either elemental advantage with initial, or stat+final blow for Ult), and doesn’t get up/gets right back up after a beating (so even if P5MC gets P4MC down to 0 hp, its possible P4MC will get right back up without the need of a skill like P5MC).
That being said I need to reevaluate some stuff with Royal. I still think P4MC is stronger tho (but I think P3MCs are the strongest, that being said P4/5MC haven’t been put in a situation where they need to die to protect everyone, aka get the universe arcana, so I wouldn’t 100% count them out because I think P4/5MC have the potential to go as far as the P3MCs if need be...well....def P4MC.....not sure about P5MC he still needs to prove himself imo).
