thinking abt classpect shit during class as one does and i had a bit of a realization abt aspects. yknow how sometimes the literal names of classpects have very little to do with their actual associations? like. light . u dont see a lot of sun summoner type shit (although you might get that with another class than seer/thief . aranea mightve done a bit or that couldve just been jake hope field) . instead most of the powers are the symbolic stuff . luck knowledge relevance etc.
BUT . the literal meaning comes back in with like. representation and the way these other powers are evident i guess? so like. rose with the land of LIGHT and rain. vriskas association with sight. and this makes some of the more abstract aspects a bit easier to understand?
like mind being associated with choices and timelines . if you lean away from literal brain shit terezis powers make more sense. memory and thought and all that is just how its portrayed and how she explores that aspect. and theres something to be said abt her and rose both being seers and. rose learning about light (knowledge of sburb and fate) through her vision (how does a seer see?) vs terezi learning about mind (alternate choices and outcomes) through her thoughts (portrayal of her visions like neurons and synapses).
and if u bring this back to aspects that seem more understood like time. well if you think of time specifically in terms of its symbolic meaning with relation to the narrative and the specific alpha timeline. instead of purely being about time travel and shit . time itself is simply the physical means through which time players can interact with their more fundamental aspects.
i could go ON. breath. breath as freedom and lack of bonds and all that. dont worry about wind or breathing or air!!! thats a very very physical literal means of representing what the aspect actually means! it might even make analysis of the heir class easier--ive seen a lot of theories although i do like it as the passive version of witch and with some stuff abt becoming or being given the aspect? so rather than becoming wind by doing the windy thing or whatever. the physical breath powers he gets are not actually a representation of the aspect. turning into wind is the way in which he is given freedom.
anyways. im totally pulling this out of my ass but most of classpect analysis is just that so. i just wished to provide a take i havent seen as much of!

Note
vergess can you actually explain classpects to me... i was super into them before the muse/lord thing was revealed and the "meta" about classpects changed. so ?????? how do
Well, first things first, I never kept up with the meta on classpects. Not when I was running @godtiertalk and not now.
I use classpects for myself as a fun toy. It's a bit like pokemon. I understand conceptually that there are people using classpects/pokemon in wildly different ways, but I'm over here looking at my shinies and thinking about breeding groups, not consternating myself with what a head-to-head matchup between Time and Space would look like at a numeric level.
With that in mind, I've generally taken a "what and how" approach to classpecting, rather than the more traditional "personality and narrative role" approach. That always struck me as deeply limiting in its applications. First of all, real human people don't have a narrative role, so jot that down, but secondly it means not being able to classpect a character until after a media property has concluded, which is not only Way Less Fun, but also!
Also!!!
Literally not how classpects worked in Homestuck itself.
So for me, classpecting a character involves asking myself what the character does, and how they do it. The "what" will go towards their aspect, and the "how" towards their class.
For example, I might say, "Haumeath is a classic space character: she likes experiencing and exploring for their own sakes. What she does is wander. But in terms of how she interacts with her wanderlust, she's very confident in it on the surface, but hugely anxious underneath that something about her Is Not Good Enough. How she engages with her wandering is compulsively."
So then I would ask myself what kind of class gets compulsive about the use of their aspect, and the answer to that is generally Knights (see: Dave's timeloops, Latula's obsessive overcompensation, every negative thing karkat has ever done). So logically I would conclude Haumeath is a Knight of Space.
Except then, and this is the part I have the most fun with, is to look at the whole title not just the sum of its parts, and see if it still fits. Which, in this case, it absolutely does NOT. While Space is a highly passive aspect associated with stability and inertia, the combination with knight (one who exploits a limited supply) brings up an image that makes simply no sense compared to Haumeath herself: someone fighting against a limited supply of space to just Be. Haumeath has almost the opposite problem of too many options.
Which raises the question of inversion: is Haumeath's title actually the opposite of Knight of Space, namely the Sylph of Time? One who is passively created by the passage of change and the weight of destruction? This title immediately seems more fitting, with sylphs (Kanaya, Aranea) often appearing calm on the surface but hiding immense anxiety and self doubt that leads them down some staggeringly stupid paths.
And then, of course, the most important part of all: imagining a little pink dragon wearing this costume with its silly sleeves so that every time she takes a step there's like 8x more tails to deal with than she's ready for.
Tumblr media
And isn't that what it all comes back to in the end? Imagining your favourite characters in a dumbass costume?

have you ever seen the devil wears prada? If so: What's your take on Miranda Priestly's classpect?
I have now! Really good movie.
Now, time for me to be more active on here.
(I hope)
Tumblr media
Miranda Priestly
So for those of you unaware, Miranda Priestly is one of the main characters in The Devil Wears Prada. She is the head of one of if not the most prestigious fashion magazine around. She's known for having the only say that matters in the fashion world. Her job is her life and she loves it. She's knows exactly how important she is and isn't afraid to sling it around. She has a reputation as a Devil bitch and has run off many highly dedicated fashion student interns with her insane orders.
She got where she is by a few methods:
Being incredibly knowledgeable and competent in her field
Stepping on anyone who gets in her way
Stepping on anyone if it means advancing her career
With that out of the way, let's dive into it. Miranda Priestly is a.....
Tumblr media
Knight of Rage
One who exploits [Rage]/protects with [Rage]
Knights and Rage are two of the more explored (By Hussie) parts of the classpects we could ask for. Knights exist in sessions rather lacking in their aspect, take what little they can find and stretch it out as far as it'll go. One of the most interesting things about the movie is that I don't think there's a single character, expect possibly her daughters, that doesn't explicitly HATE Miranda. This is, of course, because she's a massive bitch. Again, to the point that nobody can stand her. The lady is fucking crazy. Her flight gets cancelled because of a hurricane and because the main character Andy can't get a new flight she gets all pissy. And to punish her she says that Andy needs to get the still unpublished Harry Potter book for her kids to read within 24 hours. A pretty obviously impossible task given for the sole reason of having a good excuse to fire her. Andy of course, succeeds, marking a turning point in the story where Miranda actually starts to like Andy. The task was designed to break her, but it didn't.
Miranda failed.
Remember, Rage isn't just the obvious. It's also destruction, change, and truth. Here we see Miranda breaking Andy down and the molding her into the new person that she needs to stand by her side. She does that by throwing every challenge she has at her. Andy has to change to survive. She realizes that Miranda really is all that, and despite being something of a genius herself, Andy just doesn't compare. She's in Miranda's world and she has to play by her rules. Andy even starts anticipating Miranda's insanity, thereby protecting herself and others from her wrath. Miranda has surrounded herself with people like this; and that's exactly how she can keep her fashion empire standing.
The real kicker comes at the climax of the movie. Andy finds out that Miranda is going to be fired, and at this point Andy has destroyed her own personal life to satisfy Miranda and has even come to respect her. So she does everything she can to warn her of the incoming event.
To no avail. Miranda won't talk to her. It turns out that she already knew this was happening. Her solution is to sacrifice another main character and one of her assistants, Nigel, to keep her position and eliminate the rival who was to take her job.
She's constantly stepping on people, even while already at the top. She sees the truth of her situation and strikes decisively every time. It doesn't matter who it is, if there's an obstacle, she'll remove it and even maintain the following she's built up, even it it means knocking them personally down.
That's all! I hope it was worth the 3 year wait.

Homestuck=‘Citrus’ EOA1 Q&A Masterpost
So, I just wanted to start this off by saying thank you to everyone who sent in questions! This is my first Q&A so it makes me really happy that people are interested in my work :) Also, if anybody has any follow-up questions or comments, please tell me! I’d love to hear them ^_^
Now lets answer some questions! (under the cut!)
@kaywavy asked:
Tumblr media
Hehe ty! I had to add a brass section to the beta kids band :]
@jupitermarz01 asked:
Tumblr media
We will see Wyllin sometime in Act 5, and many of the other characters will interact with my OCs. In Act 2, we will see the introductions of John, Rose, and Dave and how their paths interact with Page’s in getting Rose into the Medium :)
@fernsehgerat asked:
Tumblr media
Yes! We will be seeing the Alpha Kids AND the Cherubs show up in Citrus :) I had the idea that we could maybe explore their session a little more than what we got in Act 6 Act 4.
@asterism343 asked:
Tumblr media
No, she is actually a Mage! :)
@oceanboundfishdude asked:
Tumblr media
Ok, I saved this one for last because I knew it would have the longest answer lol. I had the initial idea around December of last year/January of this year when I was almost done with my first read-through of Homestuck. I had the thought, “What if my OCs were in Homestuck?” That’s what I always think when I get into something, but I also thought about how that would change the story, and how things could’ve gone differently. The idea turned into what it is now, a retelling/redraw of Homestuck with my OCs in it. Having the original story but with my own art, and inserting segments with my own OCs and their stories.
I had come up with Page, her classpect, her classical element, her associated item, her planet, and things just kind of fell into place. Her element and class, lightning and mage, were reminiscent of Sollux and his psionics, and her Denizen, Marsyas, had connections to both Gamzee, being a satyr and also with her being a Rage player, and Rose, with the story of Marsyas being that he challenged Apollo, the god of Light, to a music duel, but he ended up losing and dying because of it. Her associated item, gold, is represented with the letters Au on the periodic table (thats just some fun trivia lol). For Wyllin, I have a couple ideas about how their story could go, but nothing super concrete. She’s a Thief of Blood, so there are some connections to Karkat (with his aspect) and Vriska (with her class) and how that affects her relationships with others. Rennoa is a Sylph of Blood, but a failed one, so it impacts her relationships her own group of friends, especially with how the Alternian version of her (The Composer, Wyllin’s ancestor) had an impact on the movement that the Signless made. And with Paul....... I would be getting into major spoiler territory >_O
But I also wanted to explore other things, like maybe expanding on the troll’s sgrub session, spending more time with John, Jade, Page, Davesprite, and Nannasprite on the Prospit Ship while they travel through the fourth wall, just the dancestors in general, and a lot more sburb lore with the denizens and planets.
And, I also want to make an epilogue to explore Earth C and the aftermath of everything. Just giving some closure and showing the characters healing and growing from everything that happened. Obviously I dont really have any concrete ideas since I’m only on act 2, but the idea is there! And im very excited to get to it, im excited to tell this story :)
And thats it! Thanks again to everyone who sent in questions :) I’m probably going to do a End of Act 2 Q&A, and Q&As for all the acts since I have so much fun answering your guys’ questions <3

Donatella. Augustus. Classpects. Please?
How about I just do all the adults in a "Probably Would Actually Die and Be Prototyped But Let's Have Fun" set? Minus Truman because I just honest to god couldn't come up with anything. I tried, I really did, but I just couldn't figure him out.
Also this'll be the last one. I'm not doing the Whispering Rocks kids or the Thorny Towers gang. I honestly struggled with these which tells me I've hit a wall and so I'm calling it here. Highly encourage anyone who wants to do them though.
Donatella: Witch of Blood. Donatella, like all the Aquatos, are all about family and bonds. Donatella's character arc would be about, y'know, using her powers responsibly. Like I feel like Aquatos door is always open, but also they will try to drag you inside if you know what I mean.
Augustus: Heir of Void. I mean, it makes sense right? His entire family structure was based on a big lie, a giant mystery. I sort of conceived this as working in tandem with Donatella. Like Donatella works out the team to go explore the mysteries that Augustus trips over?
Sasha: Knight of Doom. I just think it's high time that Sasha gets out of his lab and uses all his creepy experiments to protect others directly. I picture him having to run a brain under his arm like a football past the consorts who hate/fear him because he's experimented on them. I feel like it'd be so easy to make things harder on himself and so hard to improve them that it would be fun to watch him try.
Milla: Maid of Space. This one was interesting, because it was more like everything else didn't really fit? Maybe Hope would also work, but I feel like commanding space would allow Milla to make the universe into the party she wants it to be? Hopefully she listens to her teammates and doesn't make it TOO excessive.
Coach: Prince of Rage. I don't have a fully formed reason for this one, but I do notice that Coach often diffuses the tension and provides comic relief in certain scenes, and I think he could learn to weaponize this. Also I think it'd be funny to see him in those little shorts so...thematic.
Hollis: Rouge of Time. The ultimate organization project. Hollis needs to trust her own skills to determine where all that time needs to go and how to do it right. It's her true final challenge.
Loboto: Page of Mind. I don't know how else to put this, but Loboto has a lot of things wrong with him, through his own mental makeup and the things that have been done to him, which is a good set up for a Page that needs to tap the potential of something. Rebuilding his rational mind on his own terms would be a good way for him to regain some of things that have been taken from him over the course of his life.

Classpecting characters series: Clone Wars Girlfriends Ahsoka Tano and Barriss Offee!
I got really invested in potential storylines around these two from reading some fanfics a little while back, and in the process of figuring out their characterization for my own take on that I ended up with Classpects I really like for both of them! Enjoy.
All Barriss ever wanted was to help people, to enjoy peace and see people living happy lives. Thrown into the darkness of a war, she was torn from the world she wanted to live in and quickly began losing faith in the structures around her, as more and more people were hurting and dying around her at every turn, no matter her efforts to heal them. She couldn't handle the weight of it all, and began thinking in terms of the Greater Good: what was a few innocents dying, if it helped end the greater war? Based on her constant visions of a better, more peaceful life for the citizens of the galaxy, her dissatisfaction with authority and inward-turning mindset, and her self-destruction through the sacrifice emblematic of Doom, I deem Barriss Offee the Derse-Dreaming Seer of Life!
Ahsoka has always been the underdog, the trainee, learning and growing under the tutelage of master after master. The Jedi as a whole, then Anakin & Obi-Wan as individuals, and everywhere she goes she picks up more and more things to learn and incorporate into her own being. Guided along the paths laid out by her teachers, it took Ahsoka a long time to break away, to try her hand at picking and choosing what she wanted to learn and where she wanted to take it, but she got there in the end, turning the great power of her own person to the ends she wanted, and guiding others along to their own paths as well. Based on her life being defined by tutelage and guidance, inheriting her views and her goals, her adaptability to outside change and being content in greater systems, and how a major step in her progression involved learning to turn her identity and passion to her own decisions and morals, I deem Ahsoka Tano the Prospit-Dreaming Heir of Heart!
[Barris's classpect came easily to me, it seemed so obvious once I got into her mindset as told by the various fics that explore it more than the show did, although it fits her canon characterization as well. Plus, you can't tell me the Seer robes don't fit her aesthetic. Ahsoka's took a lot longer, as for all she's one of the main characters her ideals are remarkably fluid at first glance, which ended up actually being the key to it: her ideals *are* fluid, because her identity and what she does with it are all guided by others at first, the way Heirs tend to be. Also, this means she matches everything but dreaming moon with our lovely Hal Strider, or at least the classpect I will die on a hill for him :p. It seems strangely fitting.]
[This shit is so helpful for writing these characters I swear to god. It's the Key to Characterization. Well not really but it gives really good ideas. You can tell when you're satisfied with something when it just *clicks* and I finally got there with Ahsoka a month after I first thought of Barris's]

alright doing this now before i chicken out again.
With the way ONEs plot is set up, giving characters specific classpects is honestly a bit reductive, what with how it explores the different ways people react to one situation, rather than the other way around (which is more conducive to assigning classpects). Its also really hard to classpect ONE characters because of how little source material there is to work with, so I'll likely only do the very most important characters.
Character analysis under the cut. If you have any ideas please let me know!!
Even with the characters we could consider the Main ones, it's difficult to get a good grasp on their aspect, let alone their class. Bryce, Liam and Amelia ultimately could all have the same aspect and just different classes.
I feel like either Liam or Bryce is a Doom player, and I'm really leaning on Bryce. Sure awful stuff happens to Liam, but he is a lot more proactive about fixing those things. Bryce is aswell, but Bryce seems more resigned to his life sucking. When he gets a good job and starts actually enjoying his life, he clings onto that hope that the plane isnt real because he knows that if the plane is real, bad things would inevitably happen to him again.
Amelia and Liam gave me a bit of trouble... I'm still unsure about them. I was tossing the idea of one of them being a Void player around, and was thinking that Amelia was the Void player because we dont know SHIT about her, and it seems she doesnt know shit about herself either.
Something a friend suggested though, is that Amelia is a Space player. Space players' tendencies of being crucial to the plot, but still being far away and on the surface ineffectual describes her quite well. Also see my post about how Amelia is almost always interrupted during her speeches, which gives off the sense that she's distant in the eyes of the plot. I'm still quite flexible on what her aspect is though so if you have any ideas I'm all ears
Liam being a Void player is something I'm still thinking about. Another thing that I've mentioned in a previous post is that Void players do not act mysterious or seem like the type of people to keep secrets, rather they seem like they have nothing to hide at all. Although we know more about Liam than we do Amelia, we know juuust enough about Liam so he's not suspicious. But when you think about it, it's hard to name some of his defining traits, like his life or family beforehand.
Void fits him okay, but there may be an aspect that fits him even more. Blood is a bit of a cop out because every protag is Blood coded, but I can't think of much else other than Hope, which has some merit but ehhh the vibes are off.
I don't know where to even begin with Airy. Something important to me is that (though I am willing to hear someone out on this) he is not a master class. A big part of his character and also ONE as a whole is that he's just some guy, so him being The Most Important or The Least Important character would go against that.
I'm thinking Airy is maybe a Time player? It's quite an active aspect for someone as lethargic as him, but he has a lot of power in his position and actually does a whole lot of stuff when you think about it. As for his class, I think he'd be a Rouge. A more passive class, to offset how proactive his aspect is with how unmotivated his personality is, as well as a relocation class, for someone who steals people's lives (their Time) for his own benefit.
He could just as well be a Bard, and that's actually almost what I ended up going with, but I believe the stealing portion of the Rouge class is important to Airy's character.
Stone is a Light player obviously. There's a good chance they're the master class, a Muse, but hmm something is off about it to me that I can't explain. I'm open to other ideas.
Charlotte being a Life player is both funny and fitting, though Hope or maybe even Mind/Heart fits her determination as well. As for her class, maybe Mage would fit, because of her whole 'learning from her mistakes' thing.
Miscellaneous characters... Stella might be a Sylph of Rage, because of the grief she presumably caused Bryce at her dissappearance (passively creating rage/unrest), and Rage players commonly have different facets of their personality they show to different people (like Gamzee), she is quite annoyed with their mom but seems to treat Bryce well and with respect. Can you tell how hard im reaching here
Owen would be a Breath player I think, because of his dichotomy of being carefree and empowered to do what he wishes in direct contrast to Liam. I think Oscar would also be a Light player because uhhh numbers. Also he gave Liam and Bryce information.

could you do the Maid of Mind analysis?
JEGUS GHRIST I have been procrastinating making these and it's been. too long. (Disclaimer: Pretty much everything here is speculation. I’m mostly doing this because I find Classpects really really interesting, so this might not be super accurate. Also, I will be looking at cookie cutter examples for personality. Those parts are mostly for 1.) Making characters and 2.) Being like “Oh my god that’s me wow that’s so cool”. Okay anyway lets actually do this thing. WHERE MAKING THIS HAPEN)
Tumblr media
MAID
Maids create their Aspect, create with their Aspect, create through their Aspect. They are the Active (-) counterpart of the Sylph class, and they are the two "Caretaker" classes. Maids, specifically, take care of their Aspect by "patching it up." The three canon Maids are Jane Crocker, Maid of Life (Plants, Life), Aradia, Maid of Time (Death, Time, Endings), and Porrim Maryam, Maid of Space, (I will not analyze the Dancestors no you can't make me)
Now, Maid isn't explored too much in canon, but the two I care about are pretty simple examples. Jane creates the Life Aspect, by literally reviving people. She also bakes, which is an activity involving making stuff, so yeah. Aradia creates copies of herself, which patch up the timeline, and prevent it from going off track.
MIND
Mind is one of those aspects that is kind of hard to analyze because there isn't a human player with the aspect. It also doesn't help that one of the Mind players is a Knight, who actively covers up their aspect. Anyway, we do know a couple things about Mind.
Mind is related to thoughts, decision-making, rationality, and the consequences of decisions. Therefore, Terezi, the Seer (Taster?) of Mind, understands the outcomes of decisions. We see this in her killing Vriska, the Dave Strider coinflip god-tier shenanigans, and, of course, the Game Over timeline, where she channels her thoughts to make John fix the timeline. I'm not going to analyze Latula, because there isn't much to analyze.
MAID OF MIND - PERSONALITY
So, something that I failed to say in the earlier bit is that Maids tend to act as a bit of a doormat. Basically, their abundance of their Aspect would kind of suck for them. Example: Aradia died. Too much ending juice and she died. (i have incredible vocabulary i know /sarcastic)
So, a Maid of Mind might have something like this in something along the lines of getting migraines or something like that, or if you wanna go a bit deeper, you can have them be very school smart, but have the expectations that come from this screw them over.
Later on, the Maid would become much more comfortable in their aspect, such as Aradia being almost too happy about death and destruction. For the Maid of Mind, I can see this manifesting in an increased interest and comfortability with their own intelligence and knowledge in general. It would start feeling less like a burden, basically.
MAID OF MIND - ABILITIES
For the Maid of Mind, I can see a few avenues for their abilities to go down. The first is, basically, to heal the Mind. Somebody making really stupid decisions with no thoughts towards the consequences? Slap Brain Juice™ on them and now they are doing those things! Basically the Maid would be there to say "Hey, stop being an idiot."
Another ability that I think would be pretty interesting is to "create Mind" by granting an inanimate object sentience. However, the object wouldn't have like, emotions and stuff like that. So, that is something to be considered.
As for the ability to "patch up" Mind, they could probably heal up your brain, brand new. Did you just experience serious head trauma? No problem for the Maid of Mind, any lasting damage to the brain would be gone. Your skull, however, may not be so lucky. So yeah actually maybe still call an ambulance.
 CONCLUSION
Sorry this took a while to get out, I was gonna do it a bit ago, but then my power went out for a day and then I lost all motivation to do anything ever for a little while. But now I have Mario Kart music at 1.25x speed and nobody can stop me. As for classpect synergies, Muse of Mind would be rather helpful, as they would facilitate the creation of Mind. I also think a Maid of Heart could be interesting, as they would likely be able to imbue an object with a full on consciousness. (Maybe a fraymotif?)

World: Alternia! Same AU as Renuti.
!! Hihi! Oh man I remember Renuti so well; I think you last updated your fan adventure at the end of 2020 and I saw that you used his updated appearance for it! I know it’s been a while since you’ve gone back to the well but I do hope you pick it back up some time; I love seeing people creating their own fan adventures and I like the themes you were exploring in yours.
Name: Prodit Narcor. Prodit is probably from the Latin root for loyalty, and Narcor is. Well. Narc. Narc core.
Lol got it ACAB.
Age: 7.62 sweeps/16.5 years. (same as Renuti)
Theme/Story: She’s the person who eventually calls the drones on Renuti’s radio station, and is then of course forced to “cooperate” with them when SGRUB rolls around. Also, I came up with her while listening to National Anthem, so there’s that.
Review Goals: General! Also, people frequently mistake her for a Blood player, so advice on how to push the Doom angle harder would be nice.
Strife Specibus: Fireworkkind? Because patriotism and also explosions.
Also quite Doomy. I approve.
Fetch Modus: No idea. I kind of think it would be funny if it was something very practical that she picked as a little kid and now regrets.
Oh that’s easy it’s a Hangman Modus which shreds the captcha card if you fail to guess in time. It’s Doom-themed, and is super easy when you’re a kid but becomes increasingly more difficult as you grow older because 1) you store more items, so you’re less likely to narrow the pool of the card up for grabs all that quickly, 2) stuff just gets more complicated, yknow? You may not be able to get “immersion blender” just from looking at the spaced and guess the most common letters, and 3) time-consuming, so you can’t just grab an item on demand. Also a nod to how much work it ostensibly takes to get the necessarily equipment when one is working for a public office.
Blood Color: Near-perfect cerulean (#005780). It’s a bragging point for her.
Lunar Sway: Prospit!
Title: Witch of Dooooom! She manipulates the rules of society to suit her own needs, causes explosions and death and forces the rules on others, and like most Witches, takes a maybe too practical and hands on approach without really listening to others. Also, I like the contrast of this very fancy, charismatic, preppy kid getting the most Halloween Spooky Goth classpect (in name at least).
I also like this, especially because she’s theoretically a very successful Witch of Doom right now! She’s doing a good job of narrowing everybody’s options to an increased number of failure states.
Symbol and Meaning: Scormini, the Fatalistic.
Handle: sweetieSnitch!
Quirk: She rep}a{es {ertain }etters with symbo}s. It }ooks }ike b}owing a kiss, see?
Ooooh I like that.
Special Abilities: Mild mind influence–basically weak charmspeak, if you’ve read Percy Jackson. She swears up and down she’s just a nice person and that’s why people do things for her.
Ehhh T B H idk that she need a power. we can tell an interesting enough story about a cerulean exploiting their position on the hemospectrum to take structural power without adding the psychic abilities, especially since mutations like Vriska’s appear to be somewhat rare.
Lusus/Guardian: A Monarch Butterfly, because it’s pretty, poisonous, and, well, monarch. Prodit loved her as a kid, but now that she’s older she doesn’t spend much time with her anymore. Call your damn mom, Prodit.
YEAH LOVE IT.
Interests: Listening to music and dancing (badly) in her room, messing with other people’s code, trying and failing to care for her pet cactus (the fifth one this sweep), playing Troll Ace Attorney.
Appearance: Just fyi, the sprite used is a slightly recolored FarragoFiction sprite. Didn’t want to take credit where it wasn’t due.
Yeah absolutely, thanks for letting me know! Always appreciate people giving other spriters credit where credit is due.
Personality: Prodit is genuinely a very friendly person. Yes, she’s also kind of a manipulative asshole, but she does have some actual friends who she actually likes as well, and is easy to get along with. She’s practical and perceptive, but tries to ignore any twinges of moral dissonance by going along with the flow and not causing a stir unless she wants to.  She’s also great at talking her way out of bad situations, and will get you out of a jam as well if necessary. She’s very self-confident because of the aforementioned traits, and thus far her confidence hasn’t exactly been proven wrong. However, she tries to stick to her own caste–she has some sense of what life outside her bubble is like, and she doesn’t want her perfect view of the Empire disrupted.
Hmmm I can see why people think she’s a Blood character; this bio leans heavily on relationships and charisma as her backbone. It might make a little more sense for it to go like this: she has plenty of Cerulean friends because she has to; she’s seen what life is like outside her caste and sees the spectres death and destruction. Her friendships with them are borne out of genuine care but also out of obligation; if she doesn’t have them, who can she even count on? She can still affect self-confidence, but it rests on an empty shell and she knows it.
Land: I kind of want to use Land of Truth and Consequences, because it’s a fun name and I think it makes sense for her. Learn to face the hard Truths of Doom or face the Consequences, Witch.
That would imply that the Feel of her land is one of Truth and the Quest is one of Consequences, which is a little difficult to visualize. How about instead it’s land of Tabloids and Yarns? It’s all about the tales being told about her and her fellow questees, putting the onus on her to right the story and unite the planet in truth? I’m picturing a planet plastered with print with big colorful string connecting everything a la a conspiracy theory board.
As for the appearance...I’m gonna be real, I have no notes! I know it was sprited by another person, but I believe that you had-draw your adventure, correct? The vibe is right, the horns are good, and the outfit recognizably conveys what it needs to. It’s good to go!

Heya! Hope u are having a good day! Could I request a yandere homestuck and idv matchup? I'm 5'2 ft, INFP and aries, currently thinking my classpect is life! My skin is pale and I'm a lil chubby with long brown and pink hair. I'm a little bad at meeting people and usually get really anxious with social interactions until it's with someone I'm comfortable and I also tend to change some parts of myself to fit the expectations of who I'm interacting with at the time, but if there's someone who feels down or alone or just have trouble communicating I try my best to be there for them and befriend them, so people usually approach me when they need advice or to vent or when they need some favors. Don't really like parties or big groups, rather hanging out with one or two friends to watch movies, sing, play some games or cook something, usually getting really clingy too since my love language is quality time and physical touch. When I'm alone most of the time is spent playing games, watching videos or reading, thought sometimes writing, drawing, singing or listening to music are also pretty good options! I feel really hard to open up amd show my feelings because a lot of times people have left me for that, so now I just try to hide it all with fake cheerfulness, optimism and focusing on other people or just try to express it through the way I text, making me a use a lil too much emoticons or caps and things like that. In the end even if I can get a lil too dependant on people, I just want freedom and adventure, to go explore other places, learn new languages and befriend as animals as I can!
Sorry if this is a little disperse, I'm still learning grammar and honestly am a lil nervous. Still, hope everything goes ok, take care!
Greetings, thank you for sending a request. You just so happened to catch me while I was on a little field trip. So, while I’m on this four hour drive I got this for you! Please a have a nice rest of your day yourself.
Your Yandere! Homestuck matchup is.. Aradia Megido !!
Tumblr media
Aradia can get bored easily, so in all honesty she needs someone who won’t bore her.
You have so many hobbies, and so many ideas that will surely interest her.
This spooky little fairy wants to be everything you think about, your best friend in a sense. Just cuddle you..I mean, you’re so cute!
She’ll do anything to get your attention, just for you to look at her and except her.
She’ll watch any thing, or play any game you play. Aradia wants to be perfect, so she’ll pick up on everything you want in a lover.
Aradia wants to cuddle you, and be next to you all the time, and just talking about things she likes.
If you tell her about your fake optimism she’ll comfort you. Comfort you with everything.
Let’s just hope she doesn’t find the shrine..
Or maybe your friends strangely avoiding you lately. Crazy what a Rust Blood can do sometimes.
Your Yandere! Identity V matchup is.. Wu Chang !!
Tumblr media
Okay so I’m a huge Wu Chang simp so I might ramble.
Oh no.. you thought you were dealing with one? Oh sweets no.. you got two of them on your case.
Now of course they switch places from time to time. I head canon they switch every hour, but can still talk to each other through the umbrella.
I’ll talk about Xie first. As the white guard and the more nice a calmer soul, he gifts good behavior.
He loves to listen to you talk, and will always be there to comfort you when you need the comfort.
If you be good, he’ll put you over the moon. A whole day doing whatever you’d like to be exact! You get to go outside, get your favorite foods, and do anything you’d like.
However try escaping him? Tsk tsk. You’re going to go through quite a hell of a ride. Xie is more of the type to guilt trip you, and mentally abuse you. Calling you names. Fan is more physical, but more sensitive and would apologize if he hurts you to much.
I mean, they both have the right to. It’s not like the host does anything about it..
Speaking of Fan, he degrades bad behavior.
Fan is more calm, but can get flustered and have random outrages over the smallest things.
These two will hunt you down until you are completely their’s.

Bloggin’ thru new Homestuck^2 bonus, The Influencers part 2.  Kinda got my gears ground during part 1, but that largely wasn’t this sideplot’s fault, so I should still be able to enjoy it.
Reminder, bonus update blogging is always light on detail because I don’t wanna spoil all the paid content, but I’ll give the gist of my reactions and go into anything plot or character related that helps understand the main story, as well as giving you a real top-down view of “what happens” so you know what it’s about and whether or not to invest in looking yourself.  (And I don’t necessarily have to give you anything that isn’t main-plot-relevant.)
So where are they going to follow the main party?  They shouldn’t need to record the funeral I’d assume, because that already would have been televised (and awful for Jane’s PR)...  *click*
9/28/2020 - The Influencers, Part 2
Tumblr media
TEACHER: Time’s a-ticking. TEACHER: The next plot point is yours to change, if you want it. Don’t you feel it calling to you?
Yeah, just hanging a lampshade on this whole parallel sideplot I guess.
> (==>)
Whatever it is, Imode feels it. A tiny string of relevance spooling out from their belly. They want to follow it.
That’s pretty Lighty and/or Seery.  I’ve used that terminology to describe the pull of Light and its “relevance” connotations even since the only fanfic I’ve ever written, back in 2011 during Homestuck’s run, and it’s obvious enough terminology that I think Rose later mentioned it somewhere like in the Epilogues.  Are these three kids perhaps going to get a fourth, and become their own session by the end of this like Harry, Vrissy, Tavros and Yiffy might?
They can’t stop picturing their friend, Harry Anderson, arrested or tortured or worse. They’re not sure what there is to be done to stop this chain of events, but they’re sure as shit gonna find out.
(”They” is almost certainly referring to Imode here, not all three, since Imode uses they/them.)
Alright, self-aggrandizing used for good.  Show off the sort of thing that Vriska could have accomplished if she actually used her talents for her team for once.  (Besides, like, the similar thing she did just recently by making a scene.)
> (==>)
Imode is the first to choose pursuing this path over bootlicking, and the others are sure to follow.
> (==>)
Yup, Avril and Silas follow.  (Had to be reminded of ALL of their names, it’s been months since their single named appearance.)
> (==>)
Crockercopters overhead but none taking note yet, just ominous setdressing
> (==>)
IMODE: lemme take a ⏱️ to 😮‍💨 before we figure out where to go next. AVRIL: wait don't you know? IMODE: Huh? AVRIL: we were following YOU this whole time.
Oh, that answers the first question I asked.  They have NO clue where they’re going.  Let’s see if they luck out and find the clock tower.
IMODE: You 👂 what he said about the next step 📞 to us, same as i did. Don't you feel it pulling at you?
Literal pull? Powers? Future player?  --All baseless speculation of course.
SILAS: Woah are you seein’ this.
Vriska’s probably putting on her very public display now.  (This is a bonus so I’m skipping lots of banter and arguing.)
> (==>)
Oh, they just saw John flying up to the clock tower in his outfit.  And catching sight of him fly is rare celebrity gossip stuff so of course it’d stand out to them, apparently.  (Only one of them is athletic apparently, the other two are groaning at the prospect of more running.)
> (==>)
Avril always enjoys running, but there’s something else thumping along to the rhythm of the thuds of his feet and beat of his heart. He’d thought Imode was nuts for feeling it just a minute prior, but now he’s realized he isn’t deadweight, that he hasn’t fucked up someone’s life irrevocably, and it pushes him faster and faster as he tears ass toward the belltower.
(Did we know Avril was he/him before this?  Probably but if so I forgot.)
Okay, since we’re getting glimpses into each of their headspaces narratively that BOTH have had some oblique aspect references, I have to at least OPERATE on a guessy assumption that there’s a sort of classpect-for-each-of-them thing going here.
I’ve quoted both those whole paragraphs here... so what do I see?  This is going to be a bit tougher because I don’t care as much to remember these characters...
Imode had some Lighty-or-Seery language, and then could not stop picturing bad things happening to Harry, wanting to avert that chain of events.  So something of a Seer or Mage would make sense.  But given how easily Lighty stuff and the Understanding classes (or at least what we think those are) can be conflated, Mage of Light seems a bit of a premature jump.  Heck, I’m only saying Mage because a Seer of Light already occupies a starring role, and because her first act on that feeling was to jump after it herself and tell the others:
IMODE: Stay here and 👢👅 your way into fame if that's what you really want. IMODE: I’m ✈️. Follow me if you’re not 🐔💩.
--leading by example rather than directing the others into battle.  Only half-caring if they followed, willing to pursue it herself if necessary.  So, potentially more “Active”.
As for Avril... the word “heart” is mentioned there, sure, but the full context is “there’s something else thumping along to the rhythm of the thuds of his feet and beat of his heart”.  I’m inclined to think that the rhythm/beat references, especially the even footsteps and heartbeats hitting like a metronome, might be more tied to Time?  But if so, I don’t see anything class-related.  (Could also be Blood, and him thinking of what he owes in the last sentences could be reinforcing that?  Big question marks for now.)
> (==>)
Door to the belltower’s locked.  The kids figure John’s forgotten that his son can’t fly.
AVRIL: this is it, this is the thing we can help with! #feelinit #vibes IMODE: OK I'm excited that you believe me now, but what are you gonna even do? IMODE: use your big all-star 💪 to break down the 🚪?
--so they think they can “resolve a missing plot point” by getting the way into the clock tower open?  Is this going to be a theme or running joke of the Influencers sideplot, showing plotholes resolved in bonus content like how we finally saw how Gamzee’s body was relocated last time?  When I was explicitly mad about that?  (This seems like a much smaller one though.)
Apparently in HS^2 proper they remarked that the door SHOULD be locked, but Vriska just opened it anyway and wasn’t surprised it was unlocked, which she would’ve ascribed to her luck -- how the universe just makes way for her.  (And we’re literally seeing HOW the “universe” “made way” for her this way, through these Influencer kids.  Even though Vriska could have broken down the door in a second and it’s practically meaningless.)
> (==>)
Tumblr media
Avril just has the key!
AVRIL: so like my photoshoots are like, #modernfashion #myworkout #urbexp IMODE: Yea, your 📸 are why we’re all in this mess. We know. Get to it. AVRIL: fair. ok well this is the urban exploration part. AVRIL: a lot of the public infrastructure buildings in the kingdom have the same weird, shitty deadbolts on them. AVRIL: its like they were mass-produced for ease of access or something. AVRIL: none of the deep crockergov stuff, but a lot of the kingdom maintenance buildings. AVRIL: so once you swipe one key, you got access to it all. AVRIL: that’s how i get a lot of my hard-to-get shots #tradesecrets #tellnoone
Hhhmmmmm.  So what does this tell us about his potential role?  Getting places you’re not supposed to is associated with the Thief, Rogue, Bard, and sometimes Knight classes... as well as the Time/Space aspects, or the Void and Breath aspects.  A Thief or Rogue of Time could do the trick, and fit with the rhythm paragraph earlier... whereas Space doesn’t have the same rhythm associations even if it is “places” he’s getting into for these shots.  And photography, snapshots still in time, is something Dave was also explicitly into.  Plus, this exploit he’s showcasing is specifically for older buildings, playing into history/archaeology from an urban perspective.
So, Time is looking like a safer and safer bet for him.
> (==>)
lock click
> (==>)
long-hair swoop, cheer
SILAS: Yeah, I’m tickled a near-disproportionate amount by the unlockin’ of a door, so I’m inclined to believe you were onto somethin’.
Still no real hints about Silas, yet.
AVRIL: ok so. we did it, right? #missioncomplete AVRIL: feels a little anticlimactic #tbh IMODE: idk, I think so? whatever I was feeling doesn't seem so immediate anymore. IMODE: I wonder if-
Okay, that’s some near-confirmation that Imode was LITERALLY FEELING the plot or some such.  We’ll probably end the Influencers sidestory eventually with at least solid GUESSES blatantly obvious for their potential Hero Roles or the like.
> (==>)
Ah, Vriska and the kids are coming-- and we get the Silas paragraph(s)!  Silas is green-themed with green text, and a session with a Time player has a good chance of having a Space player too, so let’s see if...
Silas doesn’t know what being spotted by the other kids might mean, metaphysically or logistically or legally. She’s not particularly pressed by that sort of thing. But this is a day that’s come with more introspecting than she’s used to having to endure in a year, so she's ready to get moving before it becomes an issue.
As Harry Anderson, Vrissy, Vriska, and Tavros proceed to have this conversation, Silas pushes to catch up with Avril’s pace. She’s not sure where they’re headed, and has no clue what all this means for her. She knows the step she’s taken isn’t one she’ll be able to backtrack from, but she’ll figure that out tomorrow. For now, one foot in front of the other.
That...
I mean there’s a lot of talk of time-FRAMES, from a lazy perspective, but just-pushing-forward-in-the-here-and-now is reasonably Spacey? ...hm.  I was excited for the Silas paragraph(s) but I don’t see any immediately-apparent pattern meant for us to discern classpect info here.  Maybe a female Page example (since we could use one), propelled along by events without knowing what’s going on at first, too early in her journey to have taken more than her first step up the gradual incline of her long-term potential?
I really don’t know I guess.
Anyway, that’s the end of the bonus upd8!  See ya in a while.

Which Homestuck characters would read Homestuck and their opinion
idk i’m bored. What’s Homestuck^2? What’s epilogues? We’re strictly Homestuck in this house. Also only doing main characters, I’m not going to dive into the Felt or caparacians, I want this to be done today.
Beta kids:
June: Avid reader. Got in early and read the whole thing. Got shirts, unironically liked it.
Rose: Got in late, but got into it. Loved the tarot deck, uses it to pretend she’s reading while she just tells people their truths. Noticed some narrative issues but overall liked it.
Dave: Got in shortly after June did, read for a while, but his irony poisoning led to him sassing the HECK out of it. Made a diss blog. Kept reading it “ironically” and cannot tell if he actually likes it or not. Got a god tier hoodie he wears at home. Sampled some of the soundtracks for his raps.
Jade: Loved it. LOVED IT. Got the full soundtrack. Made remixes. Got all the shirts. One of the blogs that posted “UPD8!” whenever an update happened. Big fanartist during the Gigapauses.
Beta Guardians:
June’s Dad: Tried to get into it to connect to his daughter’s interest, but the memes were too much, so he became the “Are ya winning, daughter?” dad. Very supportive but would need fifty slow paced “Homestuck explained” videos.
Mom Lalonde: Read it, but was too intoxicated to remember most. She holds obscure knowledge and will remember minute trivia, but don’t ask her about any of the large plot points.
Bro Strider: Too busy being A Mess Of A Human Being to sit down and read.
Poppop Harley: Too busy being A Dang Explorer to sit down and read.
Alpha kids:
Jane: Takes time to read it slowly. Has a blog of theories she constantly updates. Was upset about how some plot points got dropped and underdeveloped.
Roxy: Much like Jade, loved it. While Jade made remixes, Roxy cosplays. She has killer cosplays of most characters. Screamed about updates on twitter. No filter, accidentally drops spoilers left right and center.
Dirk: Deep, DEEP character examinations. Draws diagrams, writes essays. Unironically liked the potential of Paradox Space, may have even submit his own stories to be a guest artist.
Jake: Read the whole thing, liked it, missed many connections and plot points, was satisfied with the ending. Got some merch, can say “I read Homestuck” in public and be blissfully unaware of any positive and negative baggage that comes with saying so.
Alpha Guardians:
Jane’s Dad: Much like June’s Dad, tried to get into it. Unlike June’s Dad, watched and read his daughter’s theories (and Dirk’s explanations when Jane linked them to him) and became A Walking Homestuck Encyclopedia. Jane is unsure how to feel about this. He, however, does not reference it.
Roxy’s Rosemom: Too busy fighting the good fight to read. It’s in her radar but didn’t get the time to read it.
Dirk’s Davedad: Read it as a novelty. Sent Hussie a gold-plated Bad Dragon dildo. Put offhand references to it on his movies, but they were so oblique that even readers didn’t get it.
Jade English: Too busy running her own baking good company to read Homestuck. Not even in her radar.
Alternia Trolls:
Aradia: Much like Dirk, got REAL DEEP into it. Makes youtube vids explaining classpects and narrative points. Actually wrote a dissertation on Homestuck.
Tavros: Tried to get into it, but the first few acts were not to his taste so he never got to the trolls ironically enough. Likes the character designs though.
Sollux: Next level Dave. Critiques the FUQUE out of it on every platform he can. If Hatedom is a thing, he made it. He’s the founder. It’s him. But he read it to the end.
Karkat: Read it, loves it, does some interesting character relationship examinations. Predicted who would end up with who with 100% accuracy. Wasn’t a vocal fan, didn’t get merch, but still liked it.
Nepeta: The shipper who launched a thousand ships. She writes crackfic but with deep care, making sure it makes sense that characters would end up together. Got one of every homestuck shirt. Very into it.
Kanaya: Got into it only because her friends got into it. If Karkat hadn’t talked about it she would not have gotten into it but she did because she wants to be able to carry a conversation with her friends. Not a huge fan.
Terezi: She can and WILL correct you if you get trivia wrong. She did not sit through hours of text-to-speech pesterlogs for some scrub to get it wrong. Defiant Homestuck defender. She’ll cut you if you say you don’t like Homestuck (she won’t, but she’s judging you from the other side of the room)
Vriska: Skipped the first acts and jumped right into Alternia. Little context, little care. Pretends she didn’t, gets facts hilariously wrong which Terezi takes as an invitation to tease her. Fanartist.
Equius: Another fanartist. He made physical media as opposed to drawings. Slow reader, got into it late and didn’t finish until way after the comic had ended. Did not get to experience the comic without Random Paradox Arms all over the place. Loved by the community for his short reaction posts about what happened at the point he’s at.
Gamzee: Either first person to post “Update” when comic updated, or doesn’t read for months and then catches up in two days. Skips many chat logs, but still gets most of the plot no problem. Remembers exact phrasing of the posts he does read though.
Eridan: Another Character Analysis blogger. He dives into (pun unintended) why some characters are The Absolute Worst and writes fanfic of how they would be if they had a chance to be in a different circumstances. The Problematique fan, but only because people assume the worst of him. He’s actually pretty chill.
Feferi: Superfan, and Super Content Creator. Started making plushies and charms and eventually started selling them. Her stuff became a badge of honor and people posted themselves hugging their plushies during the gigapause.
Ancestors:
Too busy caught up in their personal turmoils to read any of it. Except the Condesce. She sent Hussie a diamond-studded Bad Dragon dildo.
Beforus trolls:
Damara: Big fan, but doesn’t express it because of the crowd she’s with. But she has a blog where she tries to get in touch with new readers and is always open to answer questions others might have. Not a Big Name fan, but she’s much more vocal online than in person, and even then it’s through an alt account.
Rufioh: Got people into it, but he himself didn’t finish reading after the Scratch. Said he would but he just never got to doing so.
Mituna: Prone to ranting when updates happened. Very emotionally invested, nearly died when Game Over happened.
Kankri: The nitpicker to end all nitpicks. He critiqued everything, and hated that there were hero mode, simplified and silly drawings. Genuinely disliked all characters for faults that he himself has, yet never self-examined. Got a following that  consisted three-quarters of people who made fun of his rants and one-quarter of people who were as intense as he is.
Meulin: Big, BIG fan. Prolific fanfic writer, if a character pairing exists, rarepair or not, she wrote a fic about them. Likes all characters and as such thinks she must devote roughly the same wordcount for everyone she can. Disappears for months then reemerges with twenty new fics.
Porrim: Moderate fan, great cosplayer. The more complex the outfit, the more she wanted to make it. Routinely goes out in Jade’s Dead Shuffle and Three in the Morning dresses because she is incredibly proud of them.
Latula: Not a big fan. Knows most of what she knows through cultural osmosis because her friends got into it, but she’s not likely to ever read it herself. Likes how into it her friends are though.
Aranea: Much like Jane’s Dad, she’s the walking encyclopedia, except she memorized the content of almost every page, and if she doubts her knowledge, will immediately go to her computer and look up what she is unsure of. Tries not to talk people’s ears off and will only talk about Homestuck when asked about it.
Horuss: Super into it. To a maybe creepy degree. Doesn’t show in public but if you get access to his secret blogs it’s more like character shrines. Don’t dig too deep into it.
Kurloz: Read it, kinda into it, but not that big of a fan. He will talk about it but he’s pretty lukewarm about the whole thing.
Cronus: Read it to impress a crush, got genuinely into it, but isn’t a vocal fan.
Meenah: Didn’t read it, much like Latula learned about it because everyone around her talked about it. Unlike Latula, she mocks everyone for liking something she says is “for nerds”. Still kinda wants to read it to be part of the conversation but her pride of Not Knowing About Homestuck is too great to overcome that hurdle.

I don't expect a super serious answer from this, but I'm just curious. in a perfect world, how would hs^2 be written? do you have any particular headcanons or plot lines that would be interesting to explore? I understand the hesitation in answering a question like this, because other people might try to discredit your critiques under the guise of "well its not ur headcanons so that's why ur mad". anyways, just curious because I respect your perspective and ideas
In complete honesty? The first thing I would consider vital is a diverse team of people - genuinely diverse - to consider every point of representation with. I’m talking people of different races (to avoid the anti-black coding of Gamzee), with mental illnesses (to avoid the ableism in both Gamzee and Dirk), with different gender identities (to more accurately and healthily portray Jade, Roxy, Vriska, June - any character we could feasibly want to make trans or nonbinary), with different romanticisms and sexualities (so that we could write genuine MLM and WLW relationships without falling into homophobic pitfalls; to avoid biphobic stereotypes), and overall, with different traumatic experiences and triggers (so that we could more accurately gauge what triggers would need to be tagged and how to go over them in an appropriate and respectful manner).
We could never be 100% perfect, but with a team like that, we could at least get close to it.
Additionally, I’d bring back either fan prompts or closely listen to fan theories and conversations. Homestuck^2 was touted to be written with the fandom in mind; to consider the direction we were asking it to go in, while basing it around a general barebones structure. I’d want to make sure we were including as much of that in as humanly possible. So, if a fan theory seemed like it’d fit into the story? I’d want to include that with the rest of the text; if the fans liked a specific character? I’d want to try and include them more often. Little things to show that we’re listening and that we’re writing the story WITH the fans - like how early Homestuck used to be.
On an actual storyline basis, I really do love the concept of Meat and Candy; that there’s one timeline that goes off the rails and one that is very rigidly stuck to a track. I wouldn’t want to change that concept entirely, but I would want to make it more palpatable for people to read.
This would mean, for me, absolutely getting rid of anything to do with Yiffany. I’d completely replace that with Dave and Jade having a child together via ectobiology; how Jade has to raise their child in Dave’s absence after he goes missing, how that affects her, who she turns to for comfort and help.
I’d want to focus Candy more on that feeling of helplessness and dissociation. On John feeling adrift in a world that doesn’t quite connect with him, that doesn’t entirely feel real; how that would affect his relationships, his friends, his family. In this timeline, all of the rebellion stuff would be completely background to the interpersonal connections everyone has (the things that supposedly don’t matter, as is the point of Candy), with much more emphasis on how useless and frivolous the whole war is. It’d get to a point where nobody actually knows why they’re fighting anymore except for the fact that they are, and that even Jane, who started it out of a genuine fear for the human race, is getting tired of it, is losing resources, is starting to realise that she’s drifting away from her own child.
A truce would be garnered, started by Jane who just very much wants to reconnect with her son, with Karkat taking on the role as troll emissiary. It features long talks in a large, empty room, pouring over papers, where Jane admits that she doesn’t actually know what anyone is up to these days, how long it’s been since she’s seen her husband, since she’s seen John, and Karkat quietly confesses that it’s been several years since he’s seen Dave or Jade, and that he misses them both.
After that, a lot of the content of Candy would focus on healing. They would get back to their happily ever after, even though some things would never be the same, and there would still be inconsequentialities. It would also correspond with John coming to the slow realisation that he really doesn’t need a plot to be happy at all; that just because it doesn’t matter to the overarching story doesn’t mean it can’t matter to him.
The Candy timeline, therefore, would close early; it would fade from our view just as Dirk feared, but it would be happy and content, and free from any further meddling. I’d essentially want to enforce this idea that, yes, we can still have happy endings - even if they aren’t “full of meaning”. They can still be satisfying.
The Meat timeline, on the other hand, would have a significant focus on Dirk and his attempts to continue the plot. I think it would be fun, admittedly, if nothing went the way he thought it would. That after all of his villany and his acceptance of destruction in order to facilitate something he thought would be better, he actually just lost complete and utter control.
The plot isn’t something that he alone can continue. It’s created with character conflict, with motivations and rises and falls and losses and gains; trying to recreate SBURB, to try and restart the cycle, isn’t what a plot needs to be. It isn’t what he thinks it will do.
I’m unsure if you’ve seen this recently, but there’s been a lot of fanwork around the Lord!Jake English idea that went around several years back (when people saw the Caliborn sona). Now, this I’d want to put into it.
Jake, fed up with being stepped on, walked over, hurt, suffering from the trauma of being completely and utterly ruined by Dirk, absolutely flips shit. He chases after Dirk to seek revenge, to cut short whatever bullshit he’s trying to do, and therefore much of the comic becomes this constant back and forth with an increasing fear for Dirk the closer Jake gets as he traverses Paradox Space.
It’s very much clear that when Jake arrives, Dirk will lose. There’s no question about it. Nobody suggests that anything else will happen. There’s several arguments on Meat’s Earth C over whether or not they should try to stop Jake, or let him stop Dirk - and whether or not Jake will calm down afterwards or continue his rampage.
In the end, Dirk fails. Jake catches up to him, and just before he hits the killing blow, the entire thing goes dark. Our narrator dead, the plot abandoned; there is nothing more to see. This I would want to use to enforce the idea that, yes, plot can still be satisfying as hell and still have integral moments and be heavy and harsh - but it can also end in a way that leaves open questions because that shows that it isn’t the best ending you can get.
And then we jump back to Terezi, using her Seer powers. Both timelines have been her trying to use her powers to See what’s in store, where she should go, what she should do. She’s still floating through Paradox Space, looking for Vriska, and as such she’s met with this... sort of internal dilemma.
She knows, now, that the chances of her dying out here are high. She also knows that even if she does survive, she’s pretty much never going to see Vriska again anyway. She knows there’s a chance at a happier relationship with John, and that the only way she can get that is if she somehow manages to make a timeline where Meat and Candy merge together at once.
So, she flies back. She manages to arrive on Earth C the day of John’s big decision, and interrupts him before he can go to the picnic. Through their dialogue, John gets it stuck in his head that, hey, there’s something BIGGER out here that you need to do, but you need to do that amazing thing again where you make a third Choice.
When John arrives at the picnic, he decides to eat some of the pumpkin instead - to which you might be thinking, what pumpkin? The one he put there, of course, using his retcon powers.
So we start on the Pumpkin timeline, written entirely in the 1st person narrative from John’s POV. It’s a completely biased interpretation of what’s going on, but it’s honest to John’s own thoughts and feelings, too, allowing everyone to act the way they usually would do without any influence, but still having a narrative touch.
It shows John actively fighting to free the timeline from Dirk’s and Alternate Calliope’s narrative controls, those little hooks they’ve planted in it since time began, with a lot of back-and-forth as the two talk to John through the narration (which, he hears their voices as thoughts in his head).
John attempts to free them both from their own biases and chains, encouraging Alternate!Calliope to leave the space she’s isolated herself in and join Earth C while convincing Dirk to undo the bullshit villain schtick he’s on (and that plot or no plot, there’s still a reason worth living for).
It’d be a timeline filled with references back to original Homestuck (and funny quips from both Alternate!Calliope and Dirk along the way), a lot of morality discussion, plenty of theorising on narrative control and arcs and the placement of plot and fluff in a satisfying story, and have plenty of representation and romance and hints towards kids, too (such as nonbinary RoxyJaneCallie, DaveJadeKat, aromantic Jake, JohnDirk [because I couldn’t stop myself, honestly, with how their Classpects work so well hand in hand], and definitely RoseMary being the first to adopt a child that they absolutely do not call Vriska).
It’d fill plotholes the fandom wants to be filled, and it’d have drama, of course, in the form of figuring out a way to destroy Lord English that doesn’t inherently lead to the Candy timeline. But it’d go back and forth between the heavy, plot-filled moments and the slower, relationship-based moments, with more humanising and development of Dirk and Alternate!Calliope and John as rounded characters.
That’s the best my tired mind can come up with right now. It’s something I’ve daydreamed about a lot, actually; how I’d rewrite Homestuck^2, or what my own ending to Homestuck would be using it as a foundation. I hope it makes sense! It’s a fun little thought experiment, honestly.

MDZSBURB
I've settled on Classpects and moons and Lands but I've still got two distinct possibilities for timeline. Here's one of them.
It starts sometime in the chaos that should be leading up to the Sunshot Campaign but won't, exactly, in this timeline. It starts slowly, subtly even -- maybe there are meteors and maybe there aren't, but there's no rain of them, and people are already disappearing for months at a time. They could easily just be dead. There's no Game structure to lure them into it -- it just takes them, with little warning, and they have to learn the rules afterwards.
Maybe it's Wen Ruohan triggering it somehow -- he certainly tries to take advantage of it once he understands what's happening (as much as it's possible to understand anyway). He's powerful and cunning and he gets himself and some of his into the Medium, to try to seize the power there, and they do impressively well. For a while. He doesn't really understand how to deal with an environment where he is defined as a superfluous obstacle. Skaia has chosen its protagonists and will not be swayed.
I'm not sure of the full order entry, or the exact circumstances under which they're all taken, but I know a lot of it.
Wen Ning is taken early. He's Page of Life, a Derse dreamer, of the Land of Chains and Flowers. He is probably the Hero Least Traumatizing To Consorts.
Wen Qing follows not long after, and she was one of the very few to actually anticipate it. She's Seer of Doom, after all. --And she even understood it would be wise and safest to take her close kin with her, as little sense as that seemed to make, so she has quite a lot of company in the Land of Silk and Needles. She's a Derse dreamer, too, and wakes up fast to look for her brother.
Nie Huaisang goes pretty early, too, completely unobserved, out of somewhere that was supposed to be safe. He's just missing, no clues. (NMJ is Very Unhappy About This.) In fact, of course, the Bard of Void is sound if not safe in the Land of Wind and Whispers. He's not very happy about it either, but at least the current situation enables more unconventional fighting. Derse, again.
Jiang Cheng is snatched out of the ruins of Lotus Pier (before he can get his core destroyed). It is the opposite of subtle. The good news is that a handful of not-yet-executed disciples were hauled along to the Land of Mist and Causeways, too, and attending Wens helpfully were not. The less good news is he ends up with his mother for a sprite. It's stressful. He's Knight of Rage, and yet another Derse dreamer.
Wei Wuxian has his core intact but still runs afoul of Wen Chao and flunkies and still gets thrown into the Burial Mounds. A rather regrettably large chunk of the Burial Mounds accompanies him to the Land of Chimes and Ashes, leading to his not actually realizing he's in another dimension for about a month until he manages to get out through the borders which are at least not warded. He's still developed demonic cultivation, although in the end he uses Chenqing less for controlling corpses and more for his new powers as Rogue of Time. --The corpses do come up some, though.
I think at this point we finally get a Prospit dreamer with Lan Wanji, Mage of Space. He's not completely alone like some of the others, but he was off roaming. He may end up bringing some random people along to the Land of Rabbits and Frogs, but no one terribly interesting.
I'm not sure if there's any feasible way for Jiang Yanli to figure out where the hell her brothers have disappeared to and how to trigger the thing that will take her after them, but she's Witch of Hope, so maybe. She rounds out the Derse dreamers from the Land of Earth and Sky. Don't have more details here yet.
Next up we have a spectacular exit from Jin Zixuan, accompanied by way too much of Koi Tower, way too many hangers-on, and both his parents. It's frankly a nightmare. He spends as much time as possible out exploring the Land of Twists and Feathers. He's Heir of Light, although he's not particularly good at it. --Both his parents will end up sprites eventually, but he's fortunate enough that his is his mother. Prospit.
Depending on what canon we're going with Mianmian may or may not be in fairly close proximity, but either way she's next. Maid of Breath, and I can't say more about her circumstances of entry but I can say she's the only candidate for a Breath player in this horrifically unfree and entangled group (with the possible exception of WWX but I need him for Time).
I'm not sure what order the next two are in. By this time they definitely know something bizarre and catastrophic is going on at least.
Lan Xichen is Sylph of Heart, Land of Leaves and Hindsight. He probably gets pulled out of the Cloud Recesses survivors' camp; he probably has a lot of company; his sprite is probably either his father or Lan Qiren and I'm honestly not sure which would be worse. Prospit.
Nie Mingjue is Prince of Blood and probably gets yanked off the battlefront somewhere. (He's one of the top candidates for Wen Ruohan to follow into the Medium.) Prospit. He is arriving late if not last and a lot of other people understand the rules here a lot better than he does and he does not enjoy it.
And, finally, Meng Yao. Thief of Mind (I wanted to give him Vriska's Classpect but I was running low on Aspects and I didn't think JZX could carry Mind). I have no idea when and where he is when he falls off the map and into the Land of Mirrors and Stains. Has he become a spy yet? Did he even get a chance to start working for NMJ? Did he meet LXC? Had he fallen down the stairs yet? Which Meng Yao is being asked to become a hero? This is obviously a very important question but I do not know the answer. --But regardless of the answer he ends up with JGS as a sprite, and then probably kills him.
So anyway there's quite a bit of carrying on and fighting and reunions and dealing with Wen Ruohan's doomed but troublesome power grab, and it all ends up… I don't know. Everyone's alive, anyway.
—The other possibility is similar in its mechanics but kicks off right about when WWX absconds with the Wen remnants — they end up in LOCAA instead of the Burial Mounds, or possibly the Burial Mounds immediately followed by LOCAA. And then there's increasing chaos and confusion that's all blamed on the completely unlocatable Yiling Patriach (despite demonic cultivation's lack of association with giant meteors) as everyone else gets grabbed up over the next… while. (Not too long a while, though, because I have limits and I am not throwing JYL into a Game with an infant, let alone pregnant.)

Hey,i did muito classpect quiz (the official i think)and ended up with mage of breath,and them i did It again and for Prince of time. Could you please explain what the classes do with the respective aspect? Thanks in advance
Hmm…
So, these are pretty different classpects. One of them deals with freedom and change, whereas the other one is incredibly destructive.
(Note: These views on the classes and aspects are all my own, based on research from numerous other blogs and sources. If you want to know more, I recommend @dahniwitchoflight, @revolutionaryduelist, and @creative-classpect )
Let’s start with the Mage of Breath.
While the Mage class is not explicitly defined anywhere in the comic, one of the more popular interpretations is (one who gains knowledge from experience.) This basically means that the Mage is going to have to go through a lot of work, pain and struggling in order to gain any shred of knowledge. Compared to the Seer, which gets it’s information much more directly and understandably, the Mage seems a little like the Page class.
And it is! But instead of getting some lame “ultimate power” or whatever, the Mage gets a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the aspect in all of its forms. What can they do with that knowledge, you might ask? Well, basically anything, because they have learned how to do it. A Mage might not be able to use their aspect as well as a Knight or create as well as a Maid, but they can do it, and more.
Now that I think of it, Mages are kind of like the Swiss Army Knife of the classes. They might not be as good at doing things like a screwdriver or knife, but a knife can’t (easily) open a tiny screw on the panel of the ticking bomb, and the screwdriver can’t then cut the right wire to defuse it. But the Mage knows what the bomb is, how to get into it, and exactly what wires to cut in order to make it into a confetti cannon.
Let’s move on to Breath.
Breath is something that’s been extensively explored in canon, but as with anything in Homestuck, it is still being determined exactly what it stands for. The general consensus is that Breath has something to do with freedom and wind. The wind part is pretty easy - It means that any Breath player will have some intuitive sense of which way the wind will blow, and then use that knowledge any way they damn well please.
The freedom part is a little trickier. There’s freedom in the literal sense, that of being unable to hold or capture, or there’s freedom of the mind, in which the bonds of mental illnesses are released and the mand is able to rest without worry, or there’s freedom of speech, or freedom to bear arms, or pretty much any freedom you care to talk about.
And a Breath player has all of these freedoms! Breath is all about helping your teammates in the most YOU way possible. Breath players don’t need to slay the dragon to get to the princess, they will dance a jig around the dragon to get it to be friends, and then leave the princess where she is, but it’s all right because the Breath player set up a nice bed for her. Now the princess and the dragon are living in a found-friends sitcom, and that’s how Breath works. In the most random, but most delightful way possible.
Putting all of this together, we get a class that is the master of whatever they want to do. Having knowledge of freedom and wind is a powerful thing, and the Mage of Breath knows how to use it to its maximum potential.
