Day 12 Fredericton Summer Artist Residency, Killarney lake. I got myself settled in the brook today and it was not long before i was packing up to the sound of thunder rumbling in the distance, which alerted me to a severe thunderstorm watch. The storm never did happen. So I will be back down there over the weekend to work on finishing up this large landscape. It was such a lovely experience to paint in the park each day for the Fredericton Summer Artist Residency! It set me on a good momentum for painting all summer long! We have big news. Where do I start? Okay, here I go.... After 16 years living on Vancouver Island, Adam and I have decided to move back home. To be more specific, #frederictonnewbrunswick 💫 We bought a beautiful house where we will be growing micro greens and veggies to take to market. We will be sharing our passion about locally grown produce and being part of the farmers markets. More details to come. 💫 It was very difficult to share the news with my team at the Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites. After 8 wonderful years of personal and professional growth, it's surreal to me that I won't be walking through the lobby after September 1st. I love the hotel life and this amazing hotel welcomed me with open arms. I learned so much and will continue to learn for the next three months. Though I held the tears back as I told the team, the tears are flowing now. 💫 I will share more about our house and adventures over the next few weeks.
