Greys Court - National Trust. A Tudor Manor House situated just outside of Henly on Thames. The house has only been inhabited by 5 families in its long history. We tend to anthropomorphize animal behavior. This has happened ever since Charles Darwin first described recording emotions like joy and love among animals. Since then, the debate has evolved and expanded widely. While humankind was once thought to be the only species able to think, with feelings and emotions, we now have proof that some species have strong social behaviors. Some are capable of compassion and anger and can even grieve the loss of a family member or one of their own. Even though anthropomorphizing animal behavior can sometimes lead to misunderstanding biological behavior, I think it helps people connect with animals.
