The Shepherd’s Haven
Natah never had time for petty interests on Tau. Yet, it only takes something as simple as a song to begin to teach the Sentient that things are different now.
TW: None.
The fic begins under the cut. I hope y’all enjoy!
She hardly notices the sound at first, too focused on the mission feeds in front of her. Her gaze scans the giant screens, taking in every bit of data with ease. She finds a certain satisfaction in her ability to lead them; that is, after all, her purpose. A leader. A Queen. The faint drumming, seemingly coming from one of the communication links that the Lotus insists should remain active, begins to increase in volume, and she directs her attention towards it. The rhythm is familiar, the high-pitched whines and staccato notes causing her mind to flicker with recognition. Her mind. Not the Lotus’s, not Margulis’s. Hers. She scoffs to herself, the sound harsh, metallic. She lacks the time for this curiosity. Instead, her senses turn back to the mission feeds, opening her attention to the flow of stimuli once more. Her children fight on, some sneaking around unseen to gather intel, others spending minutes—or hours, she recalls with more than a hint of irritation—defending cryopods that house their still-slumbering siblings. She works quickly, efficiently, sending an extraction signal to the group of too-arrogant Tenno who seem to have forgotten that, yes, the Infested will fill the air with toxic spores that can and will kill them if they linger too long. That group receives a particularly stern lecture on the importance of knowing when to retreat, and satisfaction rises in the back of her mind when the only response is a set of meek apologies. Yet, as her fingers tap deftly on the hologrammed keys in front of her, performing her various tasks seamlessly, with nary a pause between each action, that odd rhythm persists. She debates defying the Lotus, turning off the link so that she can work in peace, though as a flash of discomfort darts through their mind, the Sentient abandons that notion. It is not unpleasant, at least.
It is during a lull in her work that the sound begins to distract her. With little to focus on—the Tenno that are on missions seem to be doing relatively fine for now, and her other operatives have not contacted her—, she is once again struck with a sense of familiarity. She finds herself moving closer to the source of the noise, unable to properly place where she might have heard this before, despite her efforts as she wracks through her memory stores. The rhythm is intense, intimidating, with its steady drumming, quickly plucked strings, and the screeching whines that seem to punctuate it. Annoyance and curiosity entwine in her mind, tangling together until she cannot ascertain which is the reason that she finds herself addressing whichever Tenno is on the other end of the link.
“Tenno, what is that sound?” Her tone is sharper than is perhaps necessary, but the Sentient does not find that she cares. She waits as a shuffling echoes from the other end, as a quiet, somewhat apologetic voice answers.
“Oh…sorry Natah, I have some music playing on my Somachord. I…I didn’t realize you could hear it. I can shut it off…if it’s too distracting.” Such an obedient child—sometimes, at least—, and yet, although a harsh order is at the front of her mind, something stops her from verbalizing it. Irritation flickers through her, certainly this is the Lotus’s doing. She cannot stand when Natah is harsh with their children. She is about to tell off the other, to inform her of how illogical it is to work under these conditions, to push her farther away, deeper into their mind—that sends a small spike of panic through them and the Sentient refrains—, but she senses confusion from the Lotus. It is not her doing, it seems. All the while, as she curses her body’s betrayal of her mind, a flash of something, a memory finally graces her with its presence. She finally realizes why the rhythm is so familiar.
It sounds like home.
It sounds like home.
Tau. Her family, her father—the very same kin that she abandoned, she reminds herself—, the blinding sun which darkened the endless terrain, the same sun that never broke her cover in the deepest forests, or on the jagged cliffs. Tau. Training from dawn until dusk—though with the darkness of the planet, they seemed one and the same—, learning. Learning to lead, to spy, to destroy. Studying her place in the tangled web of her kind’s history as the Shepherd, the one who would guide the Golden Lords to their ruin and the Sentients to their glory.
“No.” The hissed command surprises herself just as much as it does the Tenno, but the Sentient continues.
“Where did you find this ‘music’?” A sheepish response follows, rather unbecoming for this one, but she cannot find it in herself to correct the child at the moment.
“Where did I…Oh…Um, it was left in the Vallis. Somewhere near the Spaceport, I think? One of the other Tenno showed me, they said it was probably left by Narmer. I…They said something about the Archons too, but I can’t remember what.” Fascination swirls in her mind, something that lights up even the darkest facets, those that had not reacted since before she became the Queen that she is now. She speaks once more, her voice still with its blade-like edge.
“Can you make it louder?” The others are confused, though there is a slight hint of some emotion that she does not know how to identify. Something close to amusement, which causes her to send a harsh protest in their direction. Turning her focus back to the rhythm, and to the Tenno, she listens as the child answers, relief coloring her tone.
“Oh! Yeah, of course. Just give me one…” Her voice fades and Natah’s senses are flooded as the drum-beats intensify, as the volume increases. She tilts her head backwards slightly—reminding herself that she can do that, since she has not changed their form to its original state, the state more familiar to her—as it all becomes clearer. The whines are more akin to a voice, though at the same time, there is something highly unnatural about the nearly screeching tone that they take. The music itself is a fascinating clash of various sounds, some so synthetic that do not seem as if they should be there. Yet, her mind drifts to something her child had said, her mention of the Archons. Unnatural beasts poorly adapted to the land that was their domain, beasts which became horrific amalgams due to the meddling of her br—Erra, she corrects herself, he is no family of hers. The Lotus protests that thought, though the Sentient ignores her, her attention focusing back to the hybrids. The Archons, as despised as they are now, were once well respected by her people. She recalls seemingly endless days and nights during which she sparred with the Wolf, learning how to utilize her ever-changing form to her advantage. He was the one who taught her the practicality of learning one’s opponent in order to strike their weakest, most vital point: their mind. Her mind lights up as the rhythm continues, the aggressive beats somehow putting her at ease, the familiarity appreciated in a world that still is not her home yet. To her slight annoyance, the Tenno speaks again.
“You like music?” She buzzes, the sound not unlike a hum, though with a synthetic tone beneath it. Her voice is less harsh when she replies to the curious child.
“I do not dislike this. It sounds familiar.” She does not elaborate, and the child does not pry. Without another word, she turns back to the screens, back to her duties. The steady drumming is no longer a slight distraction, it is an extension of herself. It is Tau, albeit a minuscule, modified piece of it. The Lotus finally whispers, finally makes her thoughts known—at her place beside Natah—, her tone oddly insightful.
“It sounds like you.” She finds herself momentarily unsure as to what exactly the other means by that, before the realization washes over her. She does not dislike the comparison. In fact, she finds a part of herself that is satisfied by it. If, a few days later, the same child—her name is Magdalēnḗ, Margulis had reminded her sternly—plays the song again for whatever reason—followed by several more like it—, well, Natah does not protest it. Perhaps it is illogical, her associations between the music and Tau, but she does not mind. She will allow her fascination its room to grow, to adapt. Perhaps, she wonders—not for the first time—, she is finally more than the Shepherd of her kind. Although Tau was once her cradle, perhaps this System will become her haven in time. Perhaps, in many ways, it already is.

Chapter 39: Morning Song (NORMAL P.O.V.& SMUT)
I followed Albert up to the observation room. It was a strange request. Even when we were working for Umbrella we always escorted guests out. This must have been something serious. I walked into the room the door shutting behind me.
"Over here dearheart." Albert beckoned me over to the computers on the desk of the observation room.
"Why are we not with our guests my love?" I asked sitting on the chair covered in soft white suede.
"There is something I needed to show you in private. It was when you transformed into your archangel form." He said as I plugged in my watch to the computer.
"OK show me. I'm all ears. " I activated my watch the Pheonix Corps. emblem appearing on the screen.
"White Queen, please show our lady the combat data collected today November twenty-sixth two thousand and six," Albert spoke the ai appearing from my watch.
" Yes lord Wesker, playing combat data. " White Queen said as a video file played.
Albert paused it once I was transformed into my Archangel form facing the camera. I noticed something new about the form. Black markings surrounded my breasts and other womanly parts.
"This is strange. It looks like armor almost." I said touching the screen.
"I pulled the notes from Cordell's files on you from the angel's fall drive. There was one set of notes on the matter. Apparently, he and Sergei had a plan to make you the ultimate motherly type. Protected from all sorts of things meaning harm to your woman's assets." Albert said pulling out a laptop from who knows where.
"From Cordell and Vladimir." I bit my lip holding back a growl.
"Unfortunately so dearheart. They seemed to be so spiteful that the chip Gale had extracted was hardwired to prevent ovulation. So the makings didn't show up because you were unable to conceive." Albert sounded pissed off so I grabbed his hand and looked at him.
"He was more than likely trying to prevent us from trying to rebuild our family." I clicked my tongue rubbing the new scar over the upper part of my spinal column.
"It says angelis was created to have the infected become ultimate guardians and servants." Albert said his hand now atop the one on my back, "It seems in trying to control you, they prevented you from evolving to your full potential."
I clawed at the chair. What else could those bastards have done to me? If Gale hadn't removed the chip Albert and I wouldn't have been able to conceive.
I snarled rage filling my body, "White Queen"
The hologram appeared from my watch.
"Yes, my lady." She asked floating above my watch.
"Pull up Sergei's file on agent seven forty-eight using my credentials," I ordered.
"I've pulled up the files before my lotus I didn't find anything," Albert said looking at me curiously.
"That's why I'm accessing them with my Umbrella credentials, Sergei always hoped I'd come to his side and that he'd left the files unredacted for me." I cringed feeling sick to my stomach.
There were multiple pictures of my naked body chained to a cement floor a certain fluid on my face. There were also several photos of me blindfolded and restrained to a medical bed my crotch stuffed with three massive dildos. Blood was streaming down my eyes in the photos. However, the last one had my blood boiling. It was a screen capture of CCTV footage. It was of Alistar dying in my arms.
A deep guttural growl escaped my throat. I was near tears with each memory I saw. The haze in my mind grew at an exponential rate. The things he did to me creeping into my mind.
"That was when she died, wasn't it?" Albert asked stroking my back as I bit my lip closing down the computer, "There there my lotus. I am here and soon we will have a little one of our own running around. "
I chuckle darkly, my eyes flaring a dark icy royal blue I feel my morality slipping but I laugh, "I'll make everyone who hurt us burn in hell!"
Albert grabbed my chin and kissed me deeply and passionately, "That's my lotus! The world will bow to us."
"Let us go to our lab my treasure. There is something I want to test. White Queen, power down. it's time." The AI nodded deactivating as I stood up facing wesker, "I think it's time me and Uroboros got acquainted."
"Are you sure dearheart? It is still extremely toxic and unreliable." Wesker said in a concerned tone.
"I'm sure, one of the researchers kept calling me unworthy of receiving such genetic aptitude. That the Angelis virus was just a waste to be used on a lower life form such as me. When Sergei brought up the prototype virus to be tested on me that researcher slapped him" I said remembering my eyes darkening.
I heard Albert mutter under his breath but didn't put two thoughts to it. At this moment I was driven to prove to everyone I was worth being alive.
"The fact that Sergei had a vial of the prototype virus must have meant he was working with Alex," Albert said there was a bitter sound in his voice but there was also a gentle smile on his lips.
"Most likely but even if that is the case, I want to carry your creation in my veins. Our viruses swirl together to show nothing can stop me from being your goddess." I said caressing his cheek.
He looked down at me and his smile faded, "I will do it on one condition seeing as how I already possess Uroboros.".
"What is it my treasured god?" I asked staring into his shaded eyes.
"You inject me with the Angelis virus... we could be the same then love, feeling each other's pain. I'll know what you went through somewhat when you were with Sergei." Albert said holding my cheek his thumb caressed my lips, and the faint scent of leather washed across my nose.
I felt panic. The angelis virus never had successfully taken a male host. What ifs started to flit about in my mind. What if Angelis didn't accept him? Would I lose him again?
"But what if you're not accepted? What if it harms or even worse kills you?" I asked terrified at the thought of losing him before I could save him from Spencer.
"Please a mere virus will not kill me. I am a God! Nothing will stop me from curing this world of humanity and nothing will stop me from being with you my goddess." He said with a kiss on my lips that was gushing with passion.
"Alright Albert, I trust you," I said pulling back from the kiss rose tinting my cheeks.
"Then let us head to our lab, my dear." He said heading towards the door.
I followed like a puppy. My heart still racing Albert's promises do little to ease my anxiety. When we arrived at our lab I dropped to my knees, my ears ringing louder than Big Ben. I felt Albert grab my shaking hands. He rubbed them gently and then harshly slapped his on top of mine.
I stood up, the ringing suddenly stopping. I stared at Wesker whose concerned look told me everything. He was worried too but he remained strong.
"Dearheart look at me," he said placing his hand under my chin and pushing up my face.
I did as he commanded. He pulled off his sunglasses and stared into my blue eyes with his red ones. Slowly he embraced me pulling on his jacket. That way he made sure I couldn't move from his arms.
"I will not ever leave your side again. Nothing can separate us from one another anymore. I just got you back. I refuse to be taken away from you again." He said my head on his heart.
It fluttered. His body was showing me how sincere he was. Soon I felt my anxieties melt away into his arms.
"Do you promise me that? Nothing will separate this relationship again?" I asked.
"I promise Tabitha. We are here. The sooner we get this done the sooner we can have some alone time," Albert said kissing my cheek while opening our lab slash office.
Excella was in there preparing his dose of the prototype stabilizer. When she saw us she shrieked, "AH Albert, I didn't see the both of you. I was just preparing tonight's dose."
"Excella out! Me and Tabitha have a very important experiment to conduct!" Albert growled.
"Of course please do find me if either of you need anything." She said scrambling out of the office like there was a fire.
After Albert retrieved a vial from his centrifuge in the lab he pulled a black vial from the storage fridge.
"Uroboros..." I said walking up to him and touching the vial.
He sat down on the medical bed in the back of the room. I followed noticing the grimace on his face.
"Now that we are alone. Come here dearheart." Wesk said pulling me into his lap.
"Wesk I have a condition to your condition. I want to be dosed at the same time as you." I said confidently.
His grimace shifted to a small smile, "You wish my precious lotus."
He prepared two syringes one with the black vial and the other was a clearish white vial. That's why he had Gale draw more blood, that was the concentrated
form of the angelis virus.
He handed me the syringe with the angelis virus and held the syringe with Uroboros in his hand.
"This will hurt my dear I am so sorry," Albert whispered in my ear.
"I'm sorry too Wesk. But we will see each other side my precious treasure." I said placing the syringe on his neck.
"I love you, Tabitha," Wesker said sticking the needle in my neck.
"And I love you, Albert." I slammed the needle in. I encountered a decent amount of resistance from his skin.
We kissed as we pushed down the plungers.
Nothing... a sweet abyss washed over me. Dark as night. I felt hollow. Like nothing mattered. The tidal wave of numbness took my consciousness out.
(Wesker P.O.V.)
I watched as my dear lotus fell to the floor. Her body shaking and seizing. Shortly after I dropped to a knee in agony. The raging chill froze my body. My muscles felt like they were being shredded and sown back together almost instantly. It was excruciating. My body shook from the pain. But the worries about myself and my blood ran cold when I saw her.
Her seizure had stopped but there was a slight amount of foam around her mouth. It quickly dawned on me she wasn't breathing. NO! I WOULD NOT ALLOW THIS! I knew I shouldn't have allowed this.
I dragged my sorry hide over to her tearing my jacket off of her body. I picked her up nearly dropping her on the floor from the heat pouring from her body. I held her close quickly performing mouth-to-mouth and started chest compressions. I wasn't about to lose her to my creation. I wasn't about to kill her again.
"Please my lotus, you can do this don't let this beat you. Please Tabitha you are stronger than this." I whispered in her ear pulling her into my lap. I barely felt a pulse. Her body only gets hotter and hotter.
It dawned on me pretty quickly. Uroboros and the Angelis virus were battling for dominance in her body. Sorrow filled my heart, I was scared of losing her when I had just promised that wouldn't happen. Then it dawned on me. The vial of blood I had Gale draw when she was with Arias. I needed to rebalance the virus levels in her body. I was about to get up until I heard something. It was a soft moan.
I looked down and my heart swelled in relief. She was slowly and gently breathing. My precious lotus, my darling dearheart, Tabitha, you scared me so badly. I hugged her tight, pulling her up I leaned down and whispered something I'd never thought I could confess.
"That's right Tabitha, come back to me. Fight through this fire my gorgeous lotus. I couldn't last again without you. Rise from your ashes my Pheonix. Rise so once again I can hear your sweet loving morning song. Please rise for me so I won't have to wander this dark path alone once again. " I murmured in her ear.
"Mmmm... Albe? A...Albert?" She gasped moaning out deliciously.
"Tabitha," I called out as black snake-like tendrils grew from her wrists lifting her into the air. The tentacles wrapped around a sturdy pipe in the ceiling. She was dangling by her wrists, her toes barely touching the floor.
Uroboros was presenting her to me. She was stunning. Almost all of her scars had vanished. Her brown hair was now feathery with black and white patches. As she opened her eyes they shone like freshly polished sapphires the outline of her irises and pupils was now platinum colored rather than sliver. She was even more beautiful than she was before.
A moan pulled me from my trance, "WESK! AHHHH!"
She was fully awake now and the tendrils set her down in my arms before shattering into fresh silica. It was as if it wanted me to examine what it did to her. Even more interesting was when I wanted her in my arms it set her there.
"My my, it seems our viruses have mutated together my goddess." I smile standing up.
I watched as her hair returned to brown and the tendrils receded into her body.
"Albert please, it's so hot. Albert mmm I need..." She panted grasping at my button-up shirt.
"What is it that you need my love?" I asked noticing I had my tendrils wrapping around her legs and up her pants. I needed this. I needed her to know how much I loved her. She was about to feel it too.
"Please my love use Uroboros on me to tame my raging internal flame. Please my master use our gifts to allow me to please you. Not to mention you're near my cunt." She moans out.
(NORMAL P.O.V. smut)
I was panting. My body was a flame and Albert's touch was like a soothing menthol gel.
"It seems our mutations have deemed us to be soul mates dearheart. I'm going to enjoy this treat dearheart. Let me show you how much I love you." Albert smirked wickedly as I felt his Uroboros rub against my commando pussy lips as they slowly pushed into my innermost place.
I roared out a moan. The radiating heat from my body pooled to my crotch. The mutation was as thick as my beloved Wesker's cock. The tentacle was like ice. So cold but so refreshing.
Albert placed a kiss on my lips as I clench my pussy around the tendril, "mmmm fuck, why does this feel so good?"
I felt my eyes roll back as Albert ordered the tendril to thrust in and out of me.
He let out a dark laugh Uroboros spreading my pussy like butter, "We were truly made for each other dearheart. It seems my creation and touch are the cure for your aching."
He sent the tendrils deeper kissing my cervix even pushing past. I screamed in pleasure I was being used like a toy and I enjoyed it. I gave into the infectious mood and lay on Albert's office desk.
He laid on top of me quickly stripping us both of our clothes. I panted rolling him onto his back as his Uroboros went back into his skin.
"it seems my needy slut has gained a small second wind." Albert chuckled pulling on my nipples and biting my neck
"Maybe I figured out who the real needy one is Wesk after all it was your tendrils that were in my pussy." I say pressing my body against him.
He smirked and he lifted me off of him by the throat. God did the pain feel amazing. I gasped for air as he sent two tentacles deep into my folds. I released and came on his Uroboros.
"Mmm Albert ahhhh" I moan out cum dripping down my legs, "Albert please it burns. Please cool me down. Fuck me please"
"Such adorable little noises coming from your whore mouth." Albert smiled slamming me into his desk. The impact caused the the ebony desk to fall apart Albert landed on top of me in a passionate kiss.
With a simple command, his tendrils wrapped around my breast and detached from his arm. The tentacles as they slip into my pussy.
My bound body shuddered. Albert's hard cock twitched at the sight of me writhing beneath our creation. I saw him beam with pride. My body surrendered as I came once again without Albert touching me. My body burned for him.
"Such a lovely sight you make my filthy lotus. Pleasure yourself for me. Entertain me well enough and I'll give you the relief you seek.
"Yes, master." I pant reaching down and massaging my clit.
He chuckled as I felt something press against my behind.
"I know how much you loved being filled in your slutty ass. I am going to fill you to the brim with our creation." Albert snapped as I felt the faceless serpent press deep into my other hole. They squirmed in unison rubbing against each other. The pressure was immense as the tendrils pressed against my cervix and G-spot. I felt myself let go as Albert withdrew the serpents.
"Look at you, feeding our creation with your juices. Such a filthy lotus cumming with my permission. You drive me feral dearheart with your perfect motherly breasts and your tight whorish snatch that clings to my cock." He smirked lining himself up with my entrance.
I moan at the way he grabbed my legs and forced them back. His touch was ice cold against my skin. The temperature difference from his touch before was shocking. It was the opposite of what happened to me. The angelis virus made him slightly paler and chilled his skin. What didn't change were his eyes they remained their brilliant red.
Albert smirked at the distracted look on my face then leaned down to my ear, "Pay attention, Tabitha, I want you to see how much I fucking love you! Call out your master's name when he makes you cum."
"Yes, my god." I moaned as he slammed deep into me. Deeper than the Uroboros could. He delved into my pussys most sacred place. He delved into my womb. Gods did it hurt but it felt so heavenly. He pulled out and slammed right back in grazing my G-spot as he slid in. His cock was larger than he was the last time we had done things. I felt some of the walls in my pussy tear slightly from Wesker's thrusts. My body hastily repaired the damage, making my pussy tighter around his fucking huge throbbing member.
I couldn't hold on anymore. The coil that was building in my stomach snapped. I screamed out as I squirted on Albert's cock.
"ALBERT FUCK YES YES MMMM OHH FUCK!" I moaned out, my tongue dipped below my lip.
"Look at you panting like a slut in heat. Our body's intertwined tangled in passion. Look even your Uroboros wishes to be with mine." Albert smirked my legs resting on his shoulders and my back on the smashed expensive wood covering the floor.
I smirked as new tendrils exited my wrists as did his. They bound our hands together as Albert trusted faster into me. The tentacles hardened into obsidian holding us in place as hours passed by.
Me and Albert spent those hours back and forth in our fight for dominance. There were moments when I had managed to flip us over and was impaling myself on Albert's cock. Squeezing him in a vice-like grip with my sweet and tender pussy. He moaned out and bucked up into me. He took my breast into his mouth and latched on suckling my nipple like it was the only sense of nourishment there was. We were in tears by the time we ended.
We went for roughly ten rounds. Each one lasted longer than the previous. We had nearly limitless stamina yet had spent it all pleasuring each other. That was the longest session we ever had. Being entangled with Albert was like a drug you would automatically be addicted to. It was an intense passionate dance one could never tire of.
I cried out as we came one last time the binds holding us long ago shattered into dust. Albert kissed my temple, sweat dripping down us both. The flame that was in my body quietly subsided for a moment. As we lay out on Albert's broken desk we failed to notice the door open.
"OH, WHAT THE FUCK! I NEED SOME FUCKING BRAIN BLEACH!" Gale shouted out covering Jill's eyes, "REALLY YOU TWO! WE WERE FUCKING WONDERING WHERE YOUR ASSES WERE AND HERE YOU FUCKING ARE DOING THE DANCE WITH NO PANTS! AGAIN!!!"
Gale stormed off pushing Jill along with him. They both had blushes on their faces. They were probably looking for a room where they could do things too. oh well, I'll apologize later as of this moment in time I burst out laughing pulling myself off Albert's cock.
A little bit of our mixed juices dripped down my leg as I helped Albert up off the floor. He grabbed our clothes from the ground and helped me redress. My tired muscles scream out for a hot soak. I smiled as I helped Albert put on his pants and coat.
"Look at you my phoenix all swollen with my semen. I am positive this little experience will gift us with our greatest treasure." He said pointing at the full-length mirror in the corner of the room.
I giggle slightly noticing my lower abdomen is slightly distended. I just stared at myself. A small swollen poof filled to the brim with Albert's seed. I felt overwhelming happiness as Albert picked me up and kissed my lips.
"Soon my phoenix you will have a little one to sing your sweet morning song to," Albert said as he walked out the door holding me.

Ok, I'm a big Zoids fan, and as such, this review focuses on the differences between the styles of this and the preceding series, rather than an more general overview (I won't use Genesis as an example since that is of a vastly different style). Unfortunately, it is very negative. Firstly, let me start with the Story: Fuzors basically has no story whatsoever for the vast majority of the series. In the final few episodes, a backstory gets fleshed out and some continuity established, but as this only happens very late-on, it feels more like a justification for why the series occurred in the way it did, rather than an actual plot that naturally developed. Furthermore, the story it does eventually manage to establish is rushed, this, along with the generally poor translations, makes it difficult to draw any praise from the story. Now, this brings me to draw parallels with Zoids Zero, which also had a very skimpy plot at best. However, the biggest difference with the two series is that Zero is built around battles and comedy, and as such tries to give the viewer fluid fights and funny lines rather than a deep plot. Fuzors does not, and as such has no excuse for the lack of story. To continue with the story theme, I'll next discuss the Characters: While Zoids shows are not renowned for their characters, the development of the cast is not handled well in Fuzors at all. For instance, in the first episode, the character 'Amy' walks in to Mach Storm's headquarters and appears to anger some of the main characters. What the show doesn't tell you is that Amy is actually a member of Mach Storm herself. This fact makes it very confusing (to say the least) when she shows up unannounced in later episodes. This is probably the best way of describing the problem with the characters in Fuzors, it simply assumes you know who/what everyone/thing is -rather than actually take the time introduce them. This is especially true for the Zoids themselves. Many of the Zoids, such as Arosaurers and Gorhecks are totally new Zoids that fans of the previous series would not know anything about -and yet they appear on screen without any kind of introduction at all. To make matters worse, old Zoids that fans would be familiar with from other series are changed abruptly and without reason. For example, the Blade Liger is depicted in the other series as a very rare (if not unique) Zoid. In the first episode of Fuzors, three of them are shown. Another prominent example is the Fuzors variant of Gunsniper, which are all customised to be the same as Leena's heavily modified (and thus unique) Zoid featured in Zero. No explanation for either of these is ever given. This kind of 'thrust the viewer into the show' serves to confuse new watchers and disenfranchise fans, and is a great detriment to the series. Toward the end of the series, some of the cast's backstory is explained, however this is done in a very rushed manner and fails to justify the terrible job done in the first three-quarters of the series. Next up is the artwork. Well, the most important aspect of a Zoids show is the Zoids themselves, so I'll start with them. The models are all done in 3D, but the style is different to the previous series. The models themselves are very detailed, and try to stick closely to the real toy range, with small things like feathers and antennae being included. While such attention to detail may sound good, this is actually a detriment, as it severs to clutter the screen with needless 'wriggly bits' that only serve to distract the viewer. Furthermore, the models are all done in a very bland color scheme, with everything appearing 'cloudy' and dull when compared to the crisp, bright, colors of the previous series. Compounding this is the fact that most of these included features are simply never used. For example, the Liger Zero Phoenix never fires the bomb or guns that it has on it's back, instead RD usually uses his claws to attack from a distance, which is a big departure from the realism the highly detailed models try to emulate. While this might be excusable if everything in the series were done in the same style of graphics, this is simply not the case. Bullets and explosions are done in conventional anime style and as such stick out like a sore thumb. They just do not blend at all with the Zoids they are fired from or hit. But the most noticeable feature of the animation is the movement of the Zoids. The Zoids move in a very awkward and robotic fashion. All of the Zoids featured are extremely rigid and inflexible, thus their movements seem entirely unnatural and unrealistic. This is especially prevalent when the Zoids 'fall over', wherein they appear to do a backflip on the spot rather than actually collapse or stagger. This is easily the biggest complaint I have with the series, especially when comparing with the extraordinarily fluid animations of Zero. The backgrounds are bland and uninteresting, with very little stand-out features, and as such, the only positive thing I have to say about Fuzor's artwork is the character's design. However, considering that the characters are very unimportant (as they are usually obscured from view inside Zoids) this is largely a moot point. Finally, is the sound. Almost all weapons have high-pitched sounds, regardless of what they are actually shooting. As any mech fan could well appreciate, it sounds a bit ridiculous when super-heavy artillery makes a 'pew' sound. Furthermore, RD's voice actor has a very high-pitched voice, as do most of the supporting cast (such as Sigma and Sweet). As the viewer's ears are bombarded constantly by all these high-pitched sounds, it honestly gets annoying. Other: Well, there is no section for this, but the quality of translation is very poor. The names of Zoids are often mispronounced or downright wrong. Overall: Quite simply Fuzors is a very poorly made anime when taken from the viewpoint of a Zoids fan. The animation is awkward, robotic and dull, the sound effects are annoying and inappropriate, the translations are poor and the story only picks up toward the end of the series, but this simply come along far too late to salvage the series.

This might sound like a harsh thing to say, but this is one of the worst series I've ever seen. The plot is terrible, and the voice actors are outstandingly bad. The fights are poorly strung together and are terrible to look at. This series was cancelled from US airways for good reason. Although it does get better in the latter half, it's not enough to recover from the terrible first half.

Zoids fuzors, just like Zoids new century, have teams who uses Zoids to battle each other for entertainment purposes in my opinion. It has been a good series especially when their Zoids combine with each other. Unfortunately, the story is a bit cliche. Teams battling each other for no explained reason(I might have missed it in the series though). I have only watched the English dub so far and the voice actors are good. Animation is a bit different from previous Zoids series but then impressive when they combine. All in all, it was a good series.

- We would still like to apologize to players who have enjoyed 120hz gameplay up until now and ask for your understanding regarding this change.
OTHER
- The special Check-In Bingo congratulating the winning Guild, Crazy Runners, will take place until April 29, 23:59 (GMT+9)

Assignment 3: Information Design
Topic
I chose to create an infographic for the Happy Planet Index (HPI), a measure of sustainability. There was a lot of numerical data about it online (including an excel dataset) and that was great, as I wanted to focus on charts/numbers so I won’t have to spend too long creating vector assets (that wasn’t my forte).
Extracting data
HPI’s excel
HPI website’s score distribution
The excel didn’t group the HPI scores into ranges from good to poor, so I got the ranges from the interactive website (you could see a country’s score if you click it on the map).

My notes
I thought the underlined parts were interesting, as it suggests that good wellbeing and life expectancy comes at the expense of the environment. I decided to further investigate.
My excel, with coloured HPI scores and abstracted columns for each indicator

Pivot tables
I was right! I thought I should include this relationship in the infographic to better illustrate that we’re not performing well as a world.
Data representation
Pie chart for HPI scores: shows proportion of countries in each colour range. Highlights that only a few countries (one small slice) met the target score
Bar graphs for indicators: show evident difference between good-average-poor
Numbers for relationship between indicators: percentages were more direct. This part requires more brainwork if presented as graphs

Experimenting
Ideas for assets

Happy Planet ideas
I went with my first idea as it was the most direct way to represent “happy”, and included nature elements to represent sustainability and the environment.

Final draft, but I removed that vine eventually

Indicators ideas
Wellbeing:
Lotus: peace, serenity
Smiling human + heart: contented
Heart: positive vibes, love
Heart behind human: very contented
Since there’s no universal symbol for wellbeing, I created assets for each idea and consulted my friends.
They preferred the one with the heart behind the human. These 2 replies stood out, offering an interesting perspective, so I went with that icon as it is all-encompassing.
Life expectancy:
I googled for inspiration.
These were good. I decided to remove the arrow as it doesn’t value-add. I’d use heights and hairstyles to represent the different life stages.
Ecological footprint:
Finally, something with a universal symbol! I stuck to green since it is associated with land, and with ecology.
Creating the assets (Illustrator)
Assembling the planet. I used the one with outlines to standardise with my indicator icons
Warm, brighter colours for the flower petals to convey a happy mood (Adobe’s Bright 2 swatch)
Yellow for the centre but lime green for flowers with orange-yellow petals for better visibility
Indicator icons
Standardised round icons for easier alignment later on
Lighter shades, as they aren’t the main focus of the infographic
Layout

I came up with several layouts and tried to critique them, eventually settling on layout 4 as its space allocation gave the right amount of emphasis for each element.
Typography
Heading and body text:
Helvetica Neue felt appropriate as its sans-serif nature makes it look ‘rounder’, which complements the aesthetics of the vector assets.
Headline considerations:
Attention-grabbing
Complements the assets’ aesthetics
Complements Helvetica Neue
Won’t look strange after I adjust the kerning and leading to align with the pie chart
I experimented with slab-serif and sans-serif typefaces that look block-like. However, I just couldn’t find the right font, so I ended up using Helvetica Neue tentatively. My friend said it looked ugly and I agreed, so I was still looking for another typeface.
Colours
Pie chart: retained HPI website’s 6-colour scale as I found it effective, but muted tones so it won’t compete with the headline for attention
Bar graphs: muted tones for the same reason. Kept the red-yellow-green system to signal good and poor. I used slightly different swatches from that of the pie chart, lest the viewer thinks I’m still referring to the HPI scores, due to the similar colours used
Red/green footprints: same swatch as the bar graphs, as they refer to the same thing
Background: 2 colours to split the infographic into 3 sections. I used white, and black at 80% tint so it looks closer to graphite grey. My charts were already very colourful, and I couldn’t repeat those colours to maximise visibility, so I opted for more neutral colours
Headline: teal and white, as they complement grey. I used white for “5 met the target score” as it is more striking than teal, and it is the main focus of my headline
Critique feedback

Merlin mentioned that we should consider where we are placing our infographics. As I intended for this to be a digital infographic, perhaps shown on HPI’s website or a social media site, I came up with additional considerations:
Some stuff can be relatively smaller since viewers can zoom in, but they shouldn’t be too small
Information should be very intuitive. Netizens won’t bother paying too much attention to something ie. they will likely look at it for a few seconds unless it’s a topic of interest
Edits
Changes to layout, colours, and data representation. Heavy reliance on red/green for the viewer to make links to bad/good even if they view the infographic for just a few seconds
Added icons
Poor wellbeing: grey cloud and blue (heart). Commonly associated with sadness
Good life expectancy: old man from the ‘life expectancy icon’
Poor life expectancy: child from the ‘life expectancy icon’
Considered adding symbols of death, but the icons might look sardonic. Decided not to, since there’s text to aid the viewer
Final typography choice: Archivo
Headlines look arresting
Sans-serif, complements style of icons
Final infographic
Finally. This was a painful week and undoubtedly the toughest assignment, although I also had the most takeaways from this. However, I’ll be jumping ship to Canva for any ‘visual assignments’ outside of NM3217, for now. Special shoutout to everyone who offered me feedback, especially my friends for tolerating my stupid questions.

Tenno data base: Operator three dash two seven six
Name: Violet
Age: nineteen cycles
Origin: Venus, southern side of planet
Temperament: Mild
Recomended Frame: Ivara
Third generation Tenno, was subjected to stasis sleep soon after graduating from journeymen.
Began training at ten cycles. Noted to form deep conection with training dojo's pets and pests. Also formed conection With Operator three dash seven oh one. Mild temperment of two seven six complemeded seven oh one's brash rage in trainingg simulations. Two seven six also difused many situations from young training Tenno's rage.
Sugest to assign them more spy missions to fully utilise temperment and training.
Editing note: Tenno seven oh one KIA, Warframe caprured by Corpus and given to top scientist and enginer Alad V. Recommend to tell Two seven six gently, as to allow them to grieve.

300+ TOP CloverETL Interview Questions and Answers
CloverETL Interview Questions for freshers experienced :-
1. What is CloverETL? CloverETL is a Java-based data integration ETL platform for rapid development and automation of data transformations, data cleansing, data migration and distribution of data into applications, databases, cloud and data warehouses. The product family starts with an open source runtime engine and limited Community edition of visual data transformation Designer. 2. What is ETL? ETL stands for Extract-Transform-Load – a data processing operation that performs data manipulations, usually on-the-fly, while getting (extracting) data from a source or sources, transforming it, and storing into target(s. For more information, see the Wikipedia page for ETL. 3. What is data integration? Data integration is a broad term used for any effort of combining data from multiple sources into a more unified and holistic view. It usually involves several operations, such as ETL, orchestration, automation, monitoring and change management. 4. What's the difference between ETL and data integration? ETL is a form of data integration where data is transformed during transport between sources and targets. While "pure" ETL is focused on the actual transport, data integration usually refers to a broader task of managing ETL tasks, scheduling, monitoring, etc. 5. Why use an ETL tool and why CloverETL in particular? ETL or data integration tools replace ad hoc scripts that you would use to transport data between databases, files, web services etc. Over time, these become very difficult to manage and are prone to errors. ETL tools provide you with visual tools to manage, monitor, and update data transformations with ease. CloverETL in particular is a rapid data integration tool oriented to get your job done quickly. 6. What is CloverETL Designer? CloverETL Designer is a visual tool for developing, debugging, and running data transformations. 7. What is CloverETL Server? Which platforms or operating systems does CloverETL run on? CloverETL runs on any platform/operating system where Java 1.6 or later is supported. This includes Windows, OSX, Linux, various UNIX systems and others. 10. Is there a free option for CloverETL? Yes. There is a 45-day fully featured trial for CloverETL Designer and a trial CloverETL Server (contact [email protected]. There is also a completely free, but feature-limited CloverETL Community Edition.
CloverETL Interview Questions 11. When and how are new versions released? There are two major production releases every year. Before each production release, there are two milestone releases that allow early access to new features from the upcoming production version. Production releases are sometimes replaced with bugfix releases that come as needed. 12. What are milestone (M1, M2) releases? Milestone releases provide early public access to features that we're working on for the upcoming production release. You can use milestones and their new features to develop, test, and provide us with feedback. However, milestone releases are not covered by CloverCARE support, so we do not recommend putting them into a mission critical deployment. Major changes that can affect existing transformations are usually published in early milestone versions so that you have plenty of time to adapt to possible incompatibilities. 13. Do I need to renew CloverCARE? Your CloverCARE support is covered by an 20% annual maintenance fee that grants you access to product updates and standard CloverCARE support. To continue receiving upgrades and support, you need to renew your maintenance every year. 14. Are there any discounts (academic, non profit, volume) available? We can offer discounts for various types of organizations and businesses. We can also offer volume deals. Please contact our Sales at [email protected] or via this Contact Us form. 15. What makes CloverETL stand out against SSIS/Talend/Pentaho? CloverETL is a rapid data integration tool. Our main goal is to provide our users with a tool that helps them achieve results quickly, without having to spend time on training, learning, etc. Starting from our examples, you can begin building data transformations quickly. You can simply export these to Server sandboxes (via File > Export > CloverETL > Export to CloverETL Server sandbox) and continue working remotely on the Server. 24. How do I transition from Server to Cluster? CloverETL Cluster is basically a bunch of Server instances connected together into a single cluster. When you move into Cluster, we recommend reading about various types of sandboxes and how to process data in parallel 25. I purchased CloverETL, but my license is set to expire in two months. Why? If you feel there's been an error, please contact our Sales at [email protected] or via this Contact Us form. Usually we issue temporary licenses immediately once a Purchase Order is received. We then replace the temporary licenses with unlimited ones once the payment is processed. 26. My evaluation license expired. Is it possible to extend the evaluation period? Yes, you can ask for trial extension here. 27. Do you have any plans for selling the company or being taken over? Our mission is to be a leader in data integration and stay true to providing high quality product and services. You can read more in this CloverETL Manifesto. 28. What files are supported? You can process virtually any file containing data, including delimited files, fixed-length record files, binary files or mix of these. Popular file formats are also supported: Excel XLS/XLSX, XML, JSON, dBase DBF, emails, Lotus Notes Domino. 29. What databases are supported? CloverETL supports standard relational databases via JDBC. Can I read and write remote files (FTP, SFTP, HTTP/S, etc.)? Yes. Please refer to Supported File URL Formats for Readers and Supported File URL Formats for Writers. 31. Can I read and write data using Web Services or REST APIs? Yes. There are dedicated components for that: WebServiceClient and HTTPConnector. Also, many components support remote data - please refer to Supported File URL Formats for Readers and Supported File URL Formats for Writers. 32. Do you support Apache Hadoop and/or Hive? Yes, Hadoop is supported for both HDFS storage, as well as running MapReduce jobs. Hive is also supported. Please refer to Hadoop connections, Hive connection. 33. Can I use data from cloud providers such as Amazon S3? Yes, you can access data on Amazon S3. For more please read Supported File URL Formats for Readers and Supported File URL Formats for Writers. 34. How do I use Designer to develop on the Server? Do I need to deploy? The Designer connects directly to Server sandboxes so you're working live on the Server. There is no need to deploy your local edits or anything. Whenever you're connected to a Server sandbox and run a transformation or jobflow, it is executed on the Server, not locally. 35. Can I run a transformation without Designer? How? Yes, CloverETL Server provides numerous automation functions, including scheduled execution, web services, event listeners, etc. 36. Can CloverETL Server be deployed to Amazon EC2? Can I use projects developed in Trial (or Community) in commercial an vice versa? Yes, everything that you create in Community or Trial can be opened and further developed in any commercial edition of CloverETL. However, CloverETL Community cannot run all transformations created using the Trial or commercial products due to its limitations. 40. Can I create my own custom component or function via a plugin? Yes, there are two nice articles you can read on our blog to help you do so: Creating your own component and Custom CTL functions. 41. How do I upgrade CloverETL Designer to the latest version? We recommend uninstalling the old version and performing a fresh install of the new one. Don’t worry, all your work is safe – it’s always stored outside the installation files. 42. Do I need an application server to run CloverETL Server? If yes, which one? We provide a default, easy-to-start bundled package of CloverETL Server with pre-configured Apache Tomcat and Derby database. It's a good, simple start. However, if you wish to use an application container of your own, CloverETL supports a number of industry standard J2EE application servers such as Apache Tomcat, GlassFish, Weblogic, WebSphere, JBoss and Jetty.
