#gravity falls#bill cipher#stanford pines#animation#im just posting all my wips here over and over. enjoy.#i procrastinated so hard on drawing his tie or trench coat#that i instead animated the entire second ford for the background. and then put a tie and trench coat on that one.#turns out fabric animation isnt quite as scary as i imagined so im a lot more confident about animating it for bord prime#then its just a matter of tweening the background ford#tweaking the timing#doing the actual cleanup and linework#and coloring#and im done!#animation is so time consuming. i cant believe no one has ever realized this before#im getting quicker though!#the fact that im rotoscoping this both helps and hinders my speed#im also still drawing all of this on my touchscreen laptop with my fingertip bc i have yet to plug my tablet in#my wrist brace is getting more use this week than it has in years#fluffle art

We’re on day six straight of “wake up in the middle of the night/morning hypervigilant and struggle to sleep again” which means we’re reaching the season of Perma Tension and Overthink.
Can’t wait to get through the next two days of work so I can start my week of suspension.
#personal skuun#there was money missing on my station is the upshot#and it’s been a really long time since I’ve made a mistake of that magnitude and yes it DOES happen#but it also looks like it might be coworker’s ADHD setting stuff aside to buy later and forgetting and then we don’t know where or what#I’m like. the third person being suspended for cash loss this month which is also unusual#COULD happen but it could be a lot of things#so I’m just like. trying to keep an eye on her and make sure it’s not a gambling thing#and keeping an eye on my boss who’s letting the chips fall on the off chance it’s him and he’s spreading it around?#I’ve seen both in my time here which makes it impossible to determine without another point on the mental graph#but it’s probably better it happens now#because this is one of two seasonal points where my sleep patterns and mental health run a little thin#and I’m most likely to make those mistakes then#my bills have reduced since the storage unit closure so I just need to kind of. tighten belt and stay home#which I’m good at anyway#although it’s funny because I know half my bosses will be at Pride on Miami Beach this weekend#it’s just two more days of paying close attention and then I can collapse#I’ve stockpiled foods in the pantry to try to make myself keep eating nice things#I have a ton of books and uh. varying. alcohols.#(sorry but sometimes I just want to be sedated and I’m med free running through these seasons.)#I have a beach cleanup event on Tuesday so I won’t be totally isolated/warped with a sense of uselessness/powerlessness#just have to hang on and see if my head clears. same as always.#got to introduce my mom to the flavor of perilla oil today though so that was kind of fun#and I can focus on moving my plants into the room…#maybe paint like I keep saying I’m gonna do and then don’t do#it just feels like my body’s made up of all these uncomfortable lumps#and then on top of it you get dreams that make you wake up crying and unable to get back to sleep for hours? fuck off with that

Severe leg/hand strain, as well as injury falling down a tall step ladder aside, I did damn good with pruning this year.
The current calving crisis and looming field seeding/cultivating season has been making things all the more exhausting, and I still have to get the pruned branch debris collected for removal from the orchard, but I still gotta pat myself on the back for working as hard as I have despite the setbacks.
I may actually consider mom's idea of getting a battery powered hand pruner though, to lessen the strain in the future.
#normally I have collected the branch debris once I finish pruning a tree in previous years-#-but this year I just had a feeling I would run out of time if I were to- so I'd just skip the cleanup to work on pruning the next tree etc#considering the leafing out this week from the fruit trees I think I made the right decision there#also dw about the injury it could've been MUCH worse and grabbing a branch during my fall I think slowed the fall and lessened impact#my legs took the brunt of the fall followed by shoulders- head miraculously made out scott free#that being said 10/10 would NOT like to do that kind of accident ever again

There's this weird and very gory French + Canadian film called Martyrs (exercise caution when looking it up in terms of images if that stuff freaks you out) and the basic concept is like. Some cult trying to understand what happens after death by bringing people to the brink of it in the most traumatic and agonizing ways possible. And I just realized that that's really some William Afton shit, both for the original motive and for remnant extraction.
(Accidentally wrote an essay in the tags so, ah. Read those I guess)
#i don't really write william as nearly that intense actually#for one because he is not at his peak of darkness most of the time i write him#two because i don't find gore itself inherently interesting#aside from eye scream and medical horror specifically#and 3 because i generally want my characters to SURVIVE so i can play with psychology and healing bc that's way more up my alley#but anyway. the comparison can still be made#i also don't think william would go for some of the stuff in that movie entirely because of cleanup. he has to hide his activities#and he doesn't have a cult to fall back on#but it would be interesting to see if he tried to maximize remnant extraction with some kind of psychological torture#that fits some of the things in the lonely children au by dire honey and freddles. in terms of the endless nightmare schtick#and i could honestly see some level of help wanted and the in universe fnaf games twisting that way too#harvesting the agony of players#hmm. maybe that could be why moon seems fucked up even presumably before kids start going missing again in sb#but anyway#he can only do so much murder before his. ah. resources. would dwindle#maybe he needs to harvest remnant other ways as well#and the continued murder is tied more to his obsession with death and immortality#fnaf#william afton#theorizing about william's weirdness

I'm almost finished with this notebook with it's horrible paper, and I just finished the first page of my Big Project
#Oh yeah - it's all coming together#Hgggg I am so sick of this notebook! It's wack as fuck!#It has made editing a Chore for the past eight months >:0 Not fun or meditative At All#Even worse is that the paper feels good to draw on but the cleanup is just! Awful!#I've just been completely ignoring my non-lined homemade notebook because it feels bad to draw on lol#The rest of the doodles for this year - yes that's how far the queue is backlogged rn lol - are still on that paper#But at least I'm like ><this close to being done with it ugh#I've got two blank pages and then like three half-doodled on pages that I'm planning to just knock out#It looks so weird 'cause the pages are all out of order lol - the first page was in March and the last in November#But like the next page after the first is /also/ November lol#Like it's largely in chronological order but it jumps around quite a lot! It was an interesting experiment#I also think it's funny since the first page got some fandom stuff that didn't come back around until now but it Looks chronological lol#I think I'll do it again but with some modifications - if I run out of steam/interest/motivation then I can fill it in however I want#Keeping it on-theme is fun but I find myself pushing ideas when I don't actually have any :P That's no good#It's not Always bad - I like quite a few of my spacefiller ideas! But if anything that just proves that finishing things out to make room-#Well like I said it was fun lol#And! As stated! #coworker messaged me yesterday with 'hope you werent planning on sleeping saturday night' bc im on the after-hours rota for three shifts#and three sites have preemptively put in tickets for dst issues. i cant remember if spring ahead or fall back causes more problems#computers may be able to handle time changes but software that manages things based on time windows really doesnt#kind of embarrassing to be using a framework that cant handle dst! and theres not really anything we can do to fix it besides cleanup#this is familiar i think ive had to work a dst shift before. im being punished
