I always wondered how people can take the meta of this user serious, when 99% of the character meta is about characters they say they don't like and 1% is meta about "fave" characters......
it's so odd since they don't even seem to be having a good time. all they do is talk about how much imogen sucks and how she's going to turn evil and how much she hates the male* characters and makes fun of them for being traumatized (i've seen some "female characters only" cr fans do that, but not imogen herself) because they're still sour about fandom reaction to campaign 2. all of their complaints about imogen are just thinly veiled complaining about the fandom. they think drawing her with glasses is traumatizing to laura bailey because some jerks bullied her for her jester art choices. clearly the second campaign truck a chord with them and they have never gotten over it.
if you are angry about the fandom of something you liked tainting it for you and do not like the sequel... have you considered just... going into another series and leaving this one behind? maybe talk about stuff you actually like instead of complaining about the characters until the cast says things that you want to hear?
*and ashton and fcg. though i have not seen one single person who loves imogen hate on fcg myself, statistically i guess there'd have to be at least one.

Started watching the 2008 S&S series and...
"Marianne Dashwood falls in love with the charming but unsuitable John Willoughby, ignoring her sister Elinor's warnings. Will the sisters learn that sense must mix with sensibility if they are to find happiness?"
And the show opens with Willoughby and Eliza Williams "in the act". It really feels like it's defeating the point right off the bat- it's not that Marianne was an idiot and everyone else around her was warning her to stay away from bad boy Willoughby, it's that nobody saw through him, nobody was sensible enough to check the propriety of how fast Marianne and Willoughby were so attached- while Elinor saw the impropriety of their behaviour to other people, she never warned Marianne away from him.

the funny part about legion is that even if you get past the whole "we really like slavery and kill faggots" thing, even if you somehow really manage to walk past that, they're still one of the worst factions because of how dumb they are. it's stated multiple times that lanius will be a terrible leader when caesar invariably dies (even if you save him, he's old and near-death). plus, they're going to try and expand west to fight the NCR, which is an infamously bad idea considering that they are very bad at growth themselves (remember how the only way to join the legion is to kill a praetorian (an already existing guard of caesar) in life-or-death combat?). like sure, they can bully the NCR when they're outstretched, but they stand 0 fucking chance at storming shady sands. also back to the slavery thing: that's kind of a hard sell to anyone who isn't outright evil and thus makes it hard to recruit new guys.

I really need to sleep but can’t stop thinking about esme’s fleet (or lack thereof). venganza’s men have a sense of loyalty to her because they’ve been sailing with her for years, but the other ships that sailed under Don Rafael barely know her, and many of those men mostly know her as the entitled girl who got the title (through family, not democracy, mind you.) under her grandfather it was definitely a proper fleet, and he took a share of their prizes, but under Esmeralda it’s more of a loose confederation. they would show up to fight with her if needed, but they don’t take regular orders from her, and she doesn’t take a share of their prizes. mostly, they provide her with information, though she has a few friends among the captains and officers who will occasionally share the spoils or keep something specific for her out of the takings. if it came to conflict with another pirate lord, though, they’re at her back no question.

“It’s literally impossible to be a woman.
You are so beautiful, and so smart, and it kills me that you don't think you're good enough. Like, we have to always be extraordinary, but somehow, we're always doing it wrong?
You have to be thin, but not too thin, and you can never say you wanna be thin. You have to say you wanna be healthy, but also, you have to BE THIN.
You have to have money, but you can't ask for money because that's crass.
You have to be a boss, but you can't be mean.
You have to lead, but you can't squash other people's ideas.
You're supposed to love being a mother, but don't talk about your kids all the damn time.
You have to be a career woman, but also, always be looking out for other people.
You have to answer for men's bad behavior, which is INSANE, but if you point that out, you're accused of complaining!
You're supposed to stay pretty for men, but not so pretty that you tempt them too much or that you threaten other women because you're supposed to be a part of the sisterhood, but ALWAYS STAND OUT and ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL. But never forget that the system is rigged, so find a way to acknowledge that but ALSO, always be grateful!
You have to never get old. Never be rude. Never show off. Never be selfish. Never fall down. Never fail. Never show fear. Never get OUT OF LINE. It's too hard! It's too contradictory, and nobody gives you a medal or says 'thank you!' And it turns out, in fact, that not only are you doing everything wrong, but also, everything is your fault.
I'm just so tired of watching myself, and every single other woman tie herself into knots, so that people will like us.
And if all of that, is also true for a doll just representing a woman, then I don't even know." -Gloria the barbie movie
this is it. this is exactly it oh my god.
