With another successful Caffrey-Burke Day behind us, we wanted to take a minute to thank all the wonderful creators responsible for that success. We are so very grateful for each and every one of you!

so…after all this fuss— asking you all to answers a few polls (only two), this is is the big reveal! for those of you who skipped over the banner to read this, bryn (@sunshinejihyun) & i are hosting a gift exchange event, right here on tumblr.

this first exchange (shhh there might be more than one) will revolve around litg season 2. so if you all were craving more material, nothing says entertainment than a mass exchange of season 2 creations! yes, season 2, the beloved.

now to participate and help us pair you all off (all the bts stuff i won’t bore you with) bryn has kindly and amazingly put together a questionnaire. the deadline to submit the form is September 21st (yes there’s a deadline). if you’re interested in joining please make sure to have your answers completed before then. and not to be a party pooper, but we're gonna keep this to 18+ due to possibility of nsfw and etc.

once you’ve submitted the form, we will privately DM you with the link to the discord server. then, on September 28th, we will privately send everyone their assignment (giftee) via discord. think of this as a secret santa (for those who understand the concept, it’s meant to be a secret).

Witcher Summer Camp Info

Welcome to #WitcherSummerCamp, campers! I know it's a bit early yet, but there's a few rules to go over first. This event is similar to the last one we ran, but for all those new people joining us and those who would like a reminder, here's how this Camp will be run!

All Witcher media and canons are welcome, including OCs! Just make sure a canon character is included. This also means we accept anything from Canon AUs to Modern, so show us your creativity!

Our camp welcomes and encourages all ships and gen pairings! (gen/platonic/romantic/familial/etc)

SFW and NSFW prompts will be available for the entire duration of your stay here at #WitcherSummerCamp, but remember, never feel pressured to do more than you can! Pick and choose what prompts make you happy, and then go wild

Finally, we accept all media types! For writers, there's no minimum word count. We want as many campers here as possible! If you'd prefer to sit on the side and roast marshmallows, we want you to join us, too! This is a great opportunity to share fanworks and support each other.

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

I think it's really nice you thought you could create an unfuckable and untwinkifiable monster, and I always think people should dream big, but I think it might be time to put this one away.

I am endlessly fascinated by this version of me that exists in the head of some fans, of this naive yet stern-faced Writer(tm) desperately trying to make them take my work seriously; frantically trying to stop them being horny for my creations. Like, mate, cmon. Ive been doing this for a long time now, and I made my peace with the monsterfuckers years ago. Am I trying to make an unfuckable monster? No. Cause I'm not an idiot.

I just make my messed-up grotesqueries for my little horror stories and assume someone out there probably wants to fuck them and that's fine. Me trying to stop them would be just be a waste of everybody's time, so I just wish them godspeed and go add some more pus to Mr Bonzo's stitches.

It does make me laugh that none of you know what a twink is, though.

Major love for the fan creators who ship canon x canon, oc x canon, self insert x canon ! The amount of creativity that springs from the love of our favorite characters offers new ideas and concepts to explore is great and inspiring. Y’all are doing wonderfully ❤️

Always an experience watching the leftism leave FNAF fans when someone mentions that Scott Cawthon financially backed fascist politicians.

The switch from posting hardline leftist tweets about boycotts and signal boosts and critical takedowns of politicians and celebrities to ‘ohhh, well. everyone makes mistakes. who can blame him, listen he. he donated money to gay charities too. that makes it ok! a millionaire in his forties is allowed to have political beliefs. does it even matter? just let it go!’ is whiplash inducing. The antivaxxer celebrities have got to go, but this one horror dev who quietly handed wads of cash to antivax lawmakers? He’s chill, he can stay.

The charity thing is so funny too because suddenly utilitarian positive-negative point counting is the way to go. Maybe an abacus would help calculate the net good of donating to the Trevor Project minus donating thousands of dollars to Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump. -10 points if I push a kid in a lake but +11 points if I help an old lady across the street, so I’m chill. You can’t judge me. Hey, maybe. Just don’t push a kid in the lake period. How fucking low is the bar when we’re excusing maxing out the possible dollar amount of donations to Mitch fucking McConnell. That should be like. Default you’re a bad person.

Why Zuko didn’t tell the Gaang about his scar

There’s been wide speculation for years about why Zuko didn’t tell the Gaang about how he got his scar in the series. The consensus is that they didn’t have time, which is strange because the answer is rather obvious.

If Katara found out, she’d go out of her way to kill Ozai herself, and her next field trip with Zuko would be to the Fire Nation castle on a full moon to crush Ozai’s heart in his chest with her bloodbending.

But that would completely negate the need for Aang to restore balance and learn energy bending in the finale to avoid killing Ozai.
