Marjorie had quickly discovered the only place that anyone ever was in Mystic Falls was the Grill. Though the venue wasn’t Marjorie’s top choice for places to spend her time she enjoyed being around all the people. She walked into the The Grill that night like any other night to have a drink when she noticed the bar was as filled as usual. Seeing a seat open she walked up glancing around. “Excuse me is this seat taken?”

» open ━ EDEN THOMAS ! ✧
standing in produce, early afternoon the day after the ball, eden could hear footsteps behind them. it made their nose twitch with annoyance. slowly, they set down a braeburn with a ding in it, stomach twisting at the thought of other fingers touching it. whether the footsteps belonged to someone approaching them or innocently passing by to shop, eden turned sharply and snapped, “i danced with the guy who died last night, so get away from me.” eden, a public space, and an unstable mindset, a combination they should have thought through before deciding to shop on a leisurely afternoon.

HER FINGERS TAPPED AGAINST the bar impatiently , leaning over to the point that she was almost on the table itself . her past few days had been spent in bored waiting , so now she found herself drinking herself to the bottom of the bottle . it was the one thing she knew would make the town interesting enough to bare . letting out a puff of air , she waved her empty glass in the air. ‘ i’m waiting . ’

nothing blew off steam better than a run, that was something mason had learned when he was a teenager. a decade and a half later, he was still practicing the same old coping mechanisms that he was back then. at least that had stayed the same, still brought him the same relief it did then. mystic falls had changed drastically since he’d last seen it, around seven years ago when his last visit was. he could get used to this if he had to. he was taking in the sights while he ran when he knocked into someone completely unintentionally. “whoa!” he stopped, out of breath and now feeling incredibly clumsy. “sorry about that.”

“i’m not gonna lie . . . i always thought it was some dumb sitcom trope. how easy and borderline ridiculous gen-eds can be?”
“but nope. i’m really out here getting a grade for taking a nature walk.”

“God, I’m sick of this town,” Nadia murmured to herself. Her head whipped over to a figure approaching. “What?” she snapped.

Children and their incessant need for such vexatious gatherings, though considering his sisters wishes he would not be one to say a word regarding his opinion on such things; they all needed their cover, admittedly Elijah would’ve preferred something else for his sister and something that didn’t involve needing to hold a party such as this but beggars can’t be choosers…or so the saying goes.
He’d chosen to establish himself in the quieter section of the house, hoping for little disturbances while he simply festered or did something of value with his time…of course hearing footsteps that seemed to evidently be foiling such a plan caused a little frustration though the original made it so his features weren’t to show such.
He stayed where he was, stoic in nature regardless of how human he acted for the sake of his appearance being kept. Allowing a smile that made him seem warmer than perhaps the truth was, pass his lips.
“I do believe the party is at the other side of the house.” his words were simple, he assumed the person to simply be wondering. Though he’d only know their intentions when they presented themselves.

someday taeyong would be the king of mystic falls, but for now he’d have to settle for being the king of having crises. his current crisis consisted of two pairs of sunglasses, identical in color ( red and black ) but one with a thinner frame than the other. “hey, hey.” tay tapped the shoulder of the person closest to him at the convenience store in mystic falls. “which one of these should i get? these. . .” quickly, he put on the first pair. they were red and black with thick frames. he flashed a smile to the person. “or these?” the pair he swapped the first pair out for were red and black with thin frames. this time he went with a cool pose. “i know i look cute in both, but please help a guy out.”

» open ━ TAEYONG KIM ! ✧
“have you seen her? have you seen her?” taeyong was shoving fliers in people’s faces & asking everybody that passed if they had seen maya. he was so worried, he’d pretty much cried all night after he found out she was missing. he stood in front of the next passerby, stopping them in their path. he was getting desperate to raise awareness, to do anything to find out what happened to her. “hey! have you seen maya? she’s the love of my life, please! please, she looks like this. please look.” he held the flier up in the person’s face.

some might describe keanu as shy, merely because he wasn’t the chattiest of people unless he knew someone well enough, but a big part of that changed when he had alcohol in hand. parties as fancy as this one seemed to be also weren’t his scene, but he was trying his best to just blend in and have fun. he looked down, holding onto bright pink, sparkly dog collar in his hand, his head tilted as he just started talking to whoever was next to him. “it’s hard to find something important to you that you don’t care about throwing in a tube that you’ll never see again, hoping that... aliens, or whoever decides to open it up, is impressed by it, and doesn’t just toss it off to the side.” he paused, side eyeing them. “not that... this isn’t what i picked for myself. that’s in my back pocket, but - well, i thought i might as well put my dog’s old collar, too... is that lame? that’s... really lame, isn’t it?”

SHE WASN’T EXACTLY SURE WHY SHE WAS THERE . the house was full of underage teenagers drinking the way she had only four or so years ago . truth be told , she would still drink like that now . locating the bar that needed some serious organization , she decided almost immediately to be the self-appointed bartender . opening herself a beer first , she waited for the first kid to come stumbling toward the table . instinctively , she wanted to help . coffee , food , water .. but this was a party . the least she could do was try to find some normalcy . ‘ so what’ll it be .. juice ? soda ? ’

Fee was kicking gravel. She’d lost Benny a while back. She’d done as much meandering and chatting inside as she could. She was sure that soon enough he would come looking for her. They promised to meet outside. He would be there soon. She was starting to think something had maybe happened. Should she go into the party and look? Just as Fee was contemplating going back in she heard someone approached. “Oh THANK GOD, I was—oh. Sorry, I-I didn’t, I thought you were someone else.”

Nadia walked in and let the wave of music pour over her. She could hear it from outside, but it had been so GARGLED. Walking to the home felt like breaking her head through water. “WOW,” she spoke, though it sounded a whisper. “For a new kid in town sounds like this girl is having a pretty good party.” She grinned. She tapped the first person in the place on the shoulder. “Do you know where to get a drink?”

HE’D ONLY BEEN BACK A FEW HOURS , & it seemed half the town was celebrating . the back to school parties . it brought him back to when they were younger , how much he’d looked forward to the concept . to growing up with his friends , in the town he called home . now he felt like a stranger . with his head down & new phone in hand ––––––– he figured it couldn’t hurt to check it out . especially when it seemed it should be dying down at any moment . hovering on the outskirts of the mansion , he waited to see a familiar face . any sign of his old life .

“I’m sorry, what did you say?” the woman asked politely. Skylar had been in her own little world as she sat at the Grill with her headphones in. The witch would completely understand why the person before her didn’t notice she was listening to music due to her hair hiding the earbuds. Closing her laptop, Skylar gave her full attention to them.
