What do you think Iseult’s power is?
I think Iseult is a Weaverwitch like Esme, but with certain different abilities because of her heritage.  I saw a post somewhere that theorized that her father was Fareastern, which seems like it would make sense.  I wholeheartedly accept that theory just so I don’t have to think about the awful alternative, but it really would explain a lot if you think about it.
The fact that she can cleave people makes her definitely a lot like Esme, but that thing where the Firewitch got into her head after she cleaves him makes her different.  I mean, if that happened for every person that Esme cleaved, she would be unstoppable and also completely insane.

Far Eastern Medicinal Mushrooms Can Help in Treatment of Cancer
A group of scientists of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences called the types of cancers which with high possibility can be treated utilizing substances from the Far Eastern mushrooms. Potential targets have actually been determined in a short article released in the journal Oncotarget: sarcoma, leukemia, cancer of the anus and colon, stomach cancer, liver cancer, colon cancer, and others.
Four types of mushrooms with powerful anticarcinogenic residential or commercial properties were under the research study. The natural chemical substances included in them will form the basis for low-toxic drugs of directed action, safe for healthy cells of the body, and with a minimum of adverse effects.
For the research study, the scientists selected mushrooms, which are extensively utilized in Asian and Far Eastern herbal remedies: Fomitopsis pinicola, Hericium erinaceus, Inonotus obliquus, and Trametes versicolor. These mushrooms can efficiently deal with a deadly growth tissue. The healing result is accomplished through a range of bioactive chemical substances: polyphenols, polysaccharides, glucans, terpenoids, steroids, proteins, and cerebrosides. Substances can not just have a particular result on cancer cells utilizing various targets, however likewise considerably improve the healing result of chemotherapy, leading in specific mixes to synergistic action.
Currently, a speculative work is under method in the FEFU School of Biomedicine to develop the anticancer activity in extracts of mushrooms, as explained in this evaluation, and have actually not formerly been studied in the lab. The result ought to be the introduction of a brand-new generation of low-toxic drugs that effect on various types of growths. The research study is supported by a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
In this time of gratitude, I like to express my appreciation to our customers, employees, and families. I am grateful for their patronage and support. Your trust and confidence placing on us allow us to fulfill our purpose of making delicious food during this time of celebration. My gratitude would not be complete without letting you know how much I am thankful for basic sustenance.
Last month, during my walk at a Costco in Sandy Springs, Georgia, from a distance, my wife pointed to me the yellow and red Maggi instant noodle that I have been looking for since I came to the US in 1979. When our boat arrived in Malaysia shore at the end of November 1978 (Not October 1978, correcting my previous record.) We already ran out of water and food due to being robbed by the Thai pirates previous. Ironically, the Malaysian villagers robbed us once more. When the delegation of reporters from the Fareastern Economic Review hunted for news around us, they spotted us (photo.) They came to our rescue. After a day or two, the IRC brought us to a temporary refugee camp nearby, waiting to transfer to Pulau Bidong Refugee Camp. They gave us this Maggi Instant Noodle Soup that became the best dinner in my lifetime due to lack of food for almost two days. After arriving in the US, I have walked hundreds of markets, supermarkets, and ethnic stores purposely looking for it, but I had no luck until I saw it at a Costco in Sandy Springs last month. I reminisced about my past during this time of gratitude, and I am grateful for basic sustenance.
Hope all of you have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving with friends and family. Be grateful!

Russian Factory Trawler Catches Fire and Sinks
A Russian search team has located the wreck of the fishing vessel Enigma Astralis, which disappeared in the Sea of Okhotsk last weekend after catching fire.
On January 21, a fire broke out in the engine room of the 3,000 dwt factory trawler Enigma Astralis off the coast of Magadan, Russia. The 47-member crew was evacuated safely to a nearby good samaritan vessel.
Firefighting was initially delayed due to the risk of an explosion from the vessel's refrigeration plant, according to Russian emergency response officials. At least one explosion was observed from response vessels, according to TASS. As the days passed, a storm arrived, further hampering attempts to fight the fire and salvage the ship. The Enigma Astralis disappeared from radar contact on January 26, and the response team launched a search for her with 11 vessels.
A trawler detected what is believed to be the Enigma Astralis' hull using sonar over the weekend. On Monday, the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport concluded that the wreck's signature is indeed that of the Enigma Astralis.
Russia's Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the circumstances of the fire, including a review of the vessel's statutory compliance.
The 2001-built Enigma Australis (ex name Adalsteinn Jonsson II) was operated by Moscow-based Fareastern Catching Company.

Reply to the Rook King post: maybe bc Iseult isn't a Voidwitch? Of the four Voidwitches we know of, only Esme, Corlant, and Aeduan are confirmed. We don't know who Iseult's dad is, so he could be Far Eastern. We know Far Easterners manipulate Threads to do magic, so Iseult could have inherited Sight of Threads from her mom and Thread manipulation from dad. Which brings me to the Crackpot Theory: nomatsis are pale-eyed like Sightwitches because the Moon Mother has the Sight of Threads, not fate.
and adding to that, Iseult is the Moon Mother, Leopold is the Trickster, and Owl is Owl (if that makes any sense). So, the Rook King visited Iseult because she's not a Voidwitch. In fact, she's not special by Witchlands standards (she's not the Cahr Awen or a Paladin), so it fits with her character arc of learning to value herself. What I can't figure out is how the Moon Mother got the Sight (of Threads), and why Eridysi and the other Sightwitches couldn't get it. / 2
Sorry, I don't have a tumblr even though I've been with the fandom since Truthwitch came out, so I replied to your post entirely with anonymous asks. I hope it reaches you in one piece :) / end
WOW this is something I had never considered before, anon, but...wow!!  You make a seriously good point here, especially because there’s still so little we know about the Moon Mother and the Fareastern culture and everything.
Your theory about the Moon Mother seeing Threads and not fate is a really intriguing concept, because those are both really the two most important influences on the world, represented (in this theory) by the Moon Mother and Sirmaya:  the Threads that bind the living to reality and the fate that affects their entire lives.  It would also explain, to a certain extent, why the prejudice towards Nomatsis began.  They arrived from the Fareastern continent, where people could manipulate Threads, which must have intimidated them a good deal.  Of course, this fact was probably lost to time, but the stigma continued.
(On a side note, your theory that Iseult’s father is Fareastern makes me extraordinarily happy.  Lately my only guess as to who he is has been Corlant, an utterly repulsive thought, but given everything with Gretchya, it’s a real possibility.)
The only thing I disagree with here is your point about Leopold, because he isn’t Nomatsi.  I don’t think he can be Trickster from the legends of the Moon Mother and everything, because he’s Cartorran and it doesn’t seem to make sense for someone who isn’t Nomatsi to be someone of great significance in Nomatsi culture.  However, given the way that Polly acts and given the mystery surrounding his Threads, it doesn’t surprise me that Iseult would compare him to Trickster.
As for the Sightwitches, they didn’t get sight of Threads, but they certainly got a different kind.  I agree though, I don’t know why they specifically couldn’t see Threads in the first place.  This whole concept would definitely be a major plot twist, and I can’t wait to see where this goes.  Like I said, I never considered anything like this before, but...WOW.
And don’t apologize!  My inbox is always open for theories, questions, anything!  And it’s always nice to talk to other people in the fandom 🙂

BENGAL SCHOOL ART HISTORY
The Bengal School of Art was an influential style of art that flourished in India during the British Raj in the early 20th century. It was associated with Indian nationalism but was also promoted and supported by many British arts administrators.
The Bengal school arose as an avant garde and nationalist movement reacting against the academic art styles previously promoted in India, both by Indian artists such as Ravi Varma and in British art schools. Following the widespread influence of Indian spiritual ideas in the West, the British art teacher Ernest Binfield Havel attempted to reform the teaching methods at the Calcutta School of Art by encouraging students to imitate Mughal miniatures. This caused immense controversy, leading to a strike by students and complaints from the local press, including from nationalists who considered it to be a retrogressive move. Havel was supported by the artist Abanindranath Tagore, a nephew of the poet Rabindranath Tagore. Tagore painted a number of works influenced by Mughal art, a style that he and Havel believed to be expressive of India's distinct spiritual qualities, as opposed to the "materialism" of the West. Abanindranath Tagore's best-known painting, Bharat Mata (Mother India), depicted a young woman, portrayed with four arms in the manner of Hindu deities, holding objects symbolic of India's national aspirations. Tagore later attempted to develop links with Far-Eastern artists as part of an aspiration to construct a pan-Asianist model of art. Those associated with this Indo-FarEastern model included Nandalal Bose, Mukul Dey, Kalipada Ghoshal, Benode Behari Mukherjee, Vinayak Shivaram Masoji, B.C. Sanyal, Beohar Rammanohar Sinha, and subsequently their students A. Ramachandran, Tan Yuan Chameli, Ramananda Bandopadhyay and a few others.
Bengal Women painted around 1950 by Manishi Dey The Bengal school's influence on the Indian art scene gradually started alleviating with the spread of modernist ideas post-independence.K. G. Subramanyan's role in this movement is significant.
