i think enha is a bit fascinated with newark because they haven't been there before and they were there for two days.

heeseung may have wanted to stay a bit longer. he actually had a really good time and most likely did not want the american portion of the tour to end. maybe he ignored a few guidelines he would and should normally follow for his own safety, but he was in the moment! so much so that he was a bit frustrated, he worked so hard, but he felt he had too limited of a time to be with his fans and bathe in his hard work.

in particular, los angeles may have stuck out the most to him, he may have felt the most appreciated/loved.

jay may have felt very nervous at the send offs, he feels like he made mistakes during them. maybe he believes he was not up to everyone's expectations, yet of course that is not true. he was very curious about each place he visited though! however, he probably will continue to harbor nervous or self-critical feelings. he has a specfic template for himself just in general and becomes worried upon not acting up to his own expectations.

newark may have stuck out the most to jay, however, not for the best reasons as he believes the behavior of the attendees were not the best.

jake felt that the send offs were defintiely unfair, or simply not the best experience for him. there were definitely conflicts, toxic fans to be frank. in general, jake did enjoy the tour overall! it was just the send offs and certain interactions that left him not the most content.

as for specific locations, he mentions newark as well. seeing as it is their first time in newark, he definitely sees it as a milestone for the group's expansion. he does really want to go back to newark, but he is still hesitant.

sunghoon definitely had a change in perspective throughout the usa portion of the tour. there could have been times where he did not have much motivation and a lot of excessive worry; things such as 'what if they don't like me?'. luckily that mindset of his definitely changed after the tour.

initially, large bunches of cards fell out in large clumps at a time. sunghoon has no favorite or least favorite place that he visited. he is very grateful that he was able to see more fans across america, and more importantly, he is more confident in himself at a global level.

seven of swords rx., the star rx., the wheel of fortune, two of cups

sunoo does not have much to say about the tour. he liked it though! overall, he felt pretty comfortable and glad to have been given the opportunity. he is glad he could celebrate his success with his fans.

he liked los angeles the most, he felt the most rewarded there and also felt he had performed just as accordingly. sunoo's least favorite is probably newark, as he felt that the energy was excessively energetic; the crowd may have been aggressive.

jungwon is glad to be building the group's career even higher after the fate tour in the usa. but he has completely exhausted himself from it. the tour entirely has lead him to thinking about what is next about his future, worrying about a plateau if he makes the wrong decisions from now on. he is fully capable of getting even higher than he is now, he just needs to rest and get ready to put it in action.

he seems to have enjoyed dallas the most as that is where he felt his hardwork and concentration pay off the most.

niki believes that fate tour in the usa was a bit of a disaster. there was a lot of chaos and a lot of different situations going on at the same time. to him, it just was not planned out well. at all. he felt it was lazily put together. everyone had responsibilities but barely anyone upheld them.

he enjoyed all the locations they visited, newark stands out to him the most; it was the place he was the most excited about visting. he does not have a least favorite and is trying to be optimistic about the future cities they will be visiting!

i know this is kinda random but it has to do with fate tour kinda? i went to fate tour in dallas in oct last year and ended up dropping 2/3 of the friends i went with because i realized how toxic they were during the trip lmao 😂 one of which id known for like 17 years and honestly im like wow enha really did that for me 😁

u probs dont care but i just felt like its funny to think ab like with parasocial relationships i joke about it obviously like oh yeah sunghoons my man we’re married with four kids but obviously im JOKING but with them apparently its not funny? but then they make the same jokes im suddenly not allowed cuz thats “HER man” like be so fr

omg no i totally get you 🤧 i think enha is the only group that has this problem in the fandom too, at least from the fandoms i've been in!! i had gcs with internet friends for the nct and svt tours and they were all soooo lovely and we all got excited for each other over seating + having the same biases and such! then comes the fate tour and i join this engene gc and oh my god 😵‍💫😵‍💫 i literally thought my head was gonna explode bc a war broke out every time someone had the same bias (which happened very often considering there's only 7 members!!!) at one point i was like omg guys...... i don't care this bad 💔 and then i got accused of not being a real jay stan?/&;!/@; crazy

I couldn't believe it when I found out that "You Keep Me Hanging On" was a cover, it sounded to me like it was written for Alvin's voice from the start. I was lucky enough to see them perform it live in Seattle in '85. He and Eleanor were still together, before her OD later that year in Dallas really tore the group up, so it's always been haunting to me to hear her vocals on the track.

Some people think this album represents the peak of the increasingly corporate sound that dominated their ill-fated arrangement with Decca, but to me, it's the pinnacle of what the group would achieve under Dave's management. It was such tragic timing that he died in that car accident so soon after Eleanor's OD, with Alvin subsequently going off the rails like he did on the European tour in '86.

Simon made it clear in multiple interviews that he was ready to quit the group at this point, it was only Theodore's pleading with him that kept him in. But, of course, that would only lead Theodore to the accident filming the music video in Istanbul after the tour, and the subsequent addiction to painkillers that would end his life so tragically short.

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…

November 24th - Forge

The X-Man known only as Forge grew up amongst a Cheyenne community somewhere in rural Montana.  He was a pupil of the powerful shaman and mystic known as Naze.  Name taught Forge numerous magical incantations and hoped he would one day take his place as the shaman to their people.  This was not to be and Forge lost interest in the mystical arts at the advent of his Mutant powers in middle adolescence.  

Forge found that he had been bestowed an intuitive understanding of technology and maniacal engineering.  The ways in which machines work and can work felt second nature to him and he could build just about anything his imagination could come up with.  

He was drafted into the United Sates Military during the war with Viet Nam.  He was severely injured during his tour and lost his right hand and right leg just below the knee.  Near death with the enemy closing in, Forge made a fateful decision and drew from the teachings of Nave to summon a portal that released the entity known as The Adversary.  This evil being slaughtered the enemy soldiers and saved Forge’s life, but it was not without a price and Forge would have to make amends for his action in later life.  

Upon returning to the states, Forge created a highly sophisticated set of cybernetic prosthetic limbs to replace his hand and leg.  He went on to develop numerous advanced weapons for the State Department as a part of the DARPA agency.  Herein he was commissioned to develop a specialized device that could identify and neutralize the powers of an invasive alien species known as The Dire Wraiths.  

The National Security Council seized Forge’s device and recalibrate it so that it could permanently neutralize the special abilities of Mutants.  The weapon was ultimately used on Storm of the X-Men, depriving her of her weather-controlling powers.     

Feeling great guilt over how his creation had been misused, Forge invited Storm to his palatial home outside Dallas where she could recover.  There was a great attraction between the two yet Storm became enraged when she discovered that Forge had been the one who invented the weapon that took away her powers.  

He would later team up with The X-Men and Rom SpaceKnight to finally defeat the Dire Wraiths.  Not long thereafter, Forge became embroiled in the affairs of the X-Men once more as they assisted him in deposing The Adversary (the demonic entity Forge had released decades ago in the jungle of Viet Nam).   

Following a stint as a member of Valerie Cooper’s iteration of X-Factor, Forge joined the X-Men becoming an official member of the team.  He remained with the team on and off for many years.  During the War with The Inhumans, Forge assisted Moon Girl in creating the device that would ultimately destroy the Terrigen Cloud and make earth safe for Mutant-kind.

Forge has since relocated the isle of Krakoa and has recently been promoted as a member of the main, flagship X-Men squad.  The hero first appeared in the pages of Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1 #184 (1984).

Today is the day the music died.

Buddy, Waylon & The Ariel Cyclone

February 3, 1959 — The Day the Music Died. 

Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, “The Big Bopper” J.P. Richardson, and their pilot, Roger Peterson, die in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa. Holly leaves behind millions of adoring fans, a pregnant wife and a legendary 1958 Ariel Cyclone Motorcycle.

May 13, 1958 - Buddy Holly and his Crickets bandmates, Joe Mauldin and Jerry Allison, land in Dallas after a world tour. They go straight to a Harley-Davidson dealership looking to buy three Harley 74 flatheads. The salesman is skeptical that the three young men from West Texas have the wherewithal to purchase three of his expensive motorcycles, and tells them so. Put off by the rude salesman, the boys go across town to Miller’s Triumph Shop. This time, Buddy introduces himself and produces a large amount of cash to ensure that it is known they are serious buyers. It is probably not necessary because Betty Miller, co-owner of the Shop with her husband, Ray, recognizes Buddy and the Crickets the moment they come in.

Mauldin picks out a red Triumph Thunderbird. Allison goes for a Triumph Trophy TR6A. Buddy buys the new 650cc Ariel Cyclone — one of only 200 ever made.

That summer, between tours and television appearances, Buddy and his friends are often seen riding their motorcycles around town in Lubbock.

October 1958 — Buddy Holly splits from The Crickets.

Early 1959 — Buddy Holly is touring the Midwest with his new band, including bassist Waylon Jennings. Also on the tour are rising artists Ritchie Valens and “The Big Bopper” J.P. Richardson. The going is rough aboard cold, uncomfortable buses and, frustrated by the conditions, Holly charters a plane from a performance in Clear Lake, Iowa to the next stop in Moorhead, Minnesota. Holly bandmate Tommy Allsup and Valens toss a coin for a seat on the plane — Valens wins. Waylon surrenders his seat to Richardson, who is sick.

Buddy Holly & Waylon Jennings February 3, 1959, 12:30 am — Holly, Richardson and Valens take off with Peterson, their 21-year-old pilot. The rest is history. Buddy Holly was 22 years old when he died. Richardson was 28. Valens was 17. Waylon lives on to be one of the most legendary country music artists of all time.

Buddy’s father keeps his Ariel Cyclone until 1970 when he trades it to Nub Stovall, a local racer, for two Yamaha 55cc Trailmasters. Stovall sells the Ariel to another individual, who tries to resell it to a local Honda dealer, George McMahan, for $1000. McMahan wants the bike, but does not have the funds.

Waylon Receiving His Birthday Present 1979 — Former Crickets Mauldin and Allison want to do something special for the 42nd birthday of their old friend, Waylon Jennings. They track down Buddy’s motorcycle to the man who still owns it in Austin, Texas. They buy the bike and have it delivered to an empty hotel room in North Texas where Waylon is on tour. Upon seeing his gift — at midnight — the outlaw Waylon jumps on the bike and kick starts it right there in the hotel room, to the delight of the other guests. Waylon only rides the Ariel a couple times and then lends it to the Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville.

2002 — Waylon Jennings passes away.2014 — The Ariel is auctioned off as part of Waylon’s estate. George McMahon has his second shot at owning the legendary bike. (McMahan had done well as a land developer in Lubbock and now had the means to buy the Ariel.) At auction, the bike quickly is bid up to $475,000 and McMahan bows out, fearing he has missed his chance again.

But fate is with McMahan. The Ariel does not reach the seller’s minimum and does not sell at the auction. Jessi Coulter, Waylon’s widow, is taking offers based on price AND intended use. McMahan makes his offer and specifies his use — riding the bike just one time and then loaning it to he Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock. Done deal.

This is the incredible story of a legendary 1958 Ariel Cyclone, owned by two of the biggest legends in music history. Check it out at the Buddy Holly Center if you’re ever down in Lubbock — but note, no pictures allowed.

I'm not really a "fandom" person, but following various tumblr users helped me appreciate them in a different light

Which date of the tour did you attend? 09/28/22, American Airlines Center, Dallas

When did you get your tickets for your show? Was it a struggle, or were they easy to grab? I originally thought I'd never be able to go, financially speaking. But a friend of the family had a birthday, and her sister bought tickets for the three of us. It was truly a miracle to be a part of such an experience because I just... Never thought it would happen.

Did you attend with anyone else? I went with my mom's best friend's kids. I treat them like my cousins, basically. They're really cool but it was very clear that I was a bigger fan of them.

What did you wear? I wore a handmade shirt that said "Hormone Replacement Therapy" in trans pride colours and the MCR black parade font. I wore it over a red dress with a hood, and I had vampire fangs in. I looked awful but I was loving it.

Where were your seats? I was on Frank's side, nearly behind the stage. I believe in section 222 of the American Airlines center. The seats were horrendous, but getting to see them at all was a gift.

What was your favorite song(s) from the setlist they played at your show? DESTROYA!!!!!! DESTROYA was the first MCR song I actually listened to and enjoyed. It made me so happy. I screamed it so loud

What song were you most hoping to hear? Did you get to hear it? I was honestly hoping for Early Sunsets over Monroeville and Heaven Help Us. They didn't play them during my show, but all the music was so awesome I didn't really care.

What was your favorite moment from the show? RAY GUITAR SOLO. MIKEY GREEN SHIRT. FALLING TO PIECES.

What was the most unexpected moment from the show? I'd say it was a pretty par for the course kind of show, but it blew me the hell away that we got THREE encore songs

Did you snag any merch? What pieces? I SPENT SO MUCH ON MERCH. I got the demolition lovers shirt, the Boy Zone shirt, and a Thank You (For the Venom) bag. I think I spent over $100 on it which was so much more than I meant

Many fans describe seeing MCR live as feeling like coming home. Did you experience anything like that at your show? I have described it to everyone as being a moment that fits perfectly into who I am. Going to a My Chemical Romance show feels like something that was fated, that fits perfectly into who I am. I was hoping to make more of a connection with other fans, but I didn't have that at the show. I went to the Dallas mall the next day and saw someone with a matching shirt - We freaked out and waved at each other, and I wish I would have said hi.

If you could change one thing about your show experience, what would it be? I would honestly have tried to go either alone or with different people, that's what I want to do the next time I get the opportunity to go to a show.

Has your perspective or opinion about the band changed since seeing them on this tour? If so, in what way? Not particularly, but it really nailed in that like... These are real people. They truly exist and are real. It made me feel so warm.

What advice would you give to people seeing My Chemical Romance in the future? DO IT AND HAVE FUN!!!!! Don't sit behind the stage. If you have to, try to get closer to ground floor.

Anything we didn't ask that you feel obliged to share or talk about? I flashed my phone light with one of my tumblr mutuals. They were behind the pit, and I was far away from them, but for a second we felt really connected.

Review: I’ve never read a book that made me feel anxious just by reading a scene. The Daedalus Protocol is an adventure from beginning to end, and will have you flipping page after page to see the fate of some of the most intriguing characters I’ve ever read about.

As I started reading, this was a solid four star for me. At first, I felt that there was just too much information and things were being over explained, but the further I got into the book… the more I realized it was all needed. I’m not a huge religious person, so the explanations of certain things was much appreciated. As was the info dump of everything else because it painted a vivid picture as I read.

Seriously, when is this becoming a movie?

What started off as a four star read transformed into a five star by the time I was finished. If you loved The Davinci Code or National Treasure, you will love The Daedalus Protocol. It was such an adventurous ride that I can’t wait to see where the crew ends up next.

* Damn. They really did a number on Marcus 😬 And who is the leader? He has the “elixor” or at least a replicated formula of it that works like the original, so could this mysterious person be Odysseus who’s changed over the years..? 🤔
