I'd actually love to know more about your choice of Mega Pidgeot for Eli. And anything about Amber and BJ's teams. I would read the whole 10 page essay honestly lol. (also LOSING my mind because Jesse is basically a living Bouffalant gijinka)

To go in order, Eli's mega pidgeot is really a joke answer that I later validated. It comes from the whole bird jesus praise helix meme, but I decided to make it mega since him having this giant beautiful bird would go with how the church views him as larger than life. Also, it's shiny making it gold with purple accents goes with the colors of the church

Amber's team has Tsareena because she is Jesse's queen I think her having one of pokemon's classic feminine pokemon fits her character, as in the show she's always portrayed in very traditional woman in media kind of way. She's beautiful, motherly, and loyal to Jesse, and I'm not saying this in a negative way since this is done more so in a way to show her as a stereotypical Christian wife as a joke without never failing to show she has her own free will. Togekiss dex says that "It will never appear where there is strife" in the same way that Amber is never around with a gun when we most need her. And Mudsdale is in part a reference to her being from Kentucky, and having this powerhouse of a beast shows that she doesn't fuck around.

BJ's team makes me very happy cause the Ribombee is just a pokemon I think he would have no real character reason I just think he'd like it a lot (and of course pink shiny). The Herdier is a reference to his childhood dog that he was painting with Judy, and the Milotic goes along with how it needs love to evolve from a feebas. BJ would of started off the show with a feebas but as he gets accepted by the family it would of evolved into Milotic as a visual representation of that growth.

Jesse being a Bouffalant gijinka started this whole thing off its most perfect match. Young Jesse seeing a Bouffalant and going I'm gonna make that my whole personality.

Team Octavinelle is presented as a seemingly young scummy Rescue team . Mainly due the fact that Azul is doing the same thing he was doing in The start of Twisted when not on missions Hes Making Deals in Exchange for Talents and abilities.

after A mission Azul, Floyd and Jade are Walking back into town.Before seeing a group of Older Kids bullying a Rather Large and Chubby looking Feebas.

Azul looks and has flashback to when he was a rather chubby Clobbpus and was Bullied similarly by Kids.

Azul then Steps in to Stop the kids from trying to hurt the Feebas any Further to the confusion of Floyd and Jade .

Azul Asked the Feebas his Name which he Responds with Bacardi

Azul then asks where his Parents are and Bacardi said he doesn’t know the Kids chased him around the Ocean so much that Bacardi can’t Remember where he came from .

Jade then pipes up asked if he could tell them any thing about one of his parents

Bacardi says that his Papa is a Goodra and that he wears a black Scarf over his mouth .

Floyd rather rudely mentioned Bacardi being fairly Large and rounder for a Feebas , Thankfully It’s well known that Feebas and Magikarp are Disgusting to eat . Azul Scold Floyd for Scaring Bacardi .

Bacardi Replies that his Papa is muy grande and is bigger than the pretty Milotics. They believe that Bacardi may be Exaggerating but a Larger than average Goodra dose help .

The Trio decide to take Bacardi to see if they can find his Dad.

Of Course Bacardi finds Team Octavinelle interesting as He asks Jade if he’ll end up looking Pretty like him and Floyd . Of course Jade Says Yes as Bacardi is a Feebas just not a way stronger than average Water/Dark Regional variant like Floyd and Jade .

Azul also Opens up about his Experience with Bullying and Tell Bacardi that Even though the Kids Think Hes Shabby looking , Weak , Fat or ugly that he work to Eventually Make them see he’s capable through than more looks or Strength . Even when he’s a Milotic .

when They get to Surface Octavinelle,Unfortunately run into their Rival team , Team Abyss consisting of A Sharpedo (Specter) , Basuclegion(Skadi) and thier Leader A Cloyster(Gladiia)

There are no Non legendary orca or a Swordfish Pokémon yet so

Team Abyss accepted the Job for Bacardi’s Dad to find him and Bring him back. However because Octavinelle is know for being Malicious. Gladiia assumed the worse possible scenario.

Azul tried Reason saying that “ I’ve done some really messed up deals But Even I wouldn’t make a deal take away anyones child. “ but Gladiia says That they’ll have a Battle And see who Takes Bacardi home.

Ultimately After a very Close Battle , Team Abyss Takes Bacardi home with some hesitation but, Skadi Mention How Bacardi didn’t React To fact that Azul mentioned his shady dealings but assumed he was too young to understand that Octavinelle was shady .

of course Bacardi didn’t like That Abyss was Taking Credit and Reward when it was Octavinelle were the one who Saved, calmed and took to the surface to look . so persuaded His Dad to come to the shore where Jade, Floyd and Azul were still Recovering from getting their asses kicked .

They see Cardi Dragging along an almost 10 tall Goodra Just like he described and Realize That Bacardi’s Dad is none other that Katakuri who is Pretty Infamous mainly cause of Big Mom’s Still a thing .

Of course Bacardi pointed at Team Octavinelle and Said they were the ones who found him ,Saved him from Getting beat up And brought him to surface . Katakuri trust him but still ask if Octavinelle it’s true

Octavinelle says yes explain why they let Team Abyss take him to Katakuri and Katakuri gives his Thanks to them for also helping .

Katakuri surprised that Azul didn’t make a Plan to Make a Run for it meaning Azul Has more Good in his heart . Azul tried to deny this with Gladiia but Floyd and Jade poke fun at him at how He treating Bacardi .

Bacardi gives them a Goodbye hug before his dad takes him home.

Hoenn! And here’s where we start to see a major divergence between me and @crystalelemental - how dare you disrespect my floaty blimp whale like that!!!

I really like Hoenn overall. Hell, I’ve cosplayed gijinkas of two of my S tiers because of being a gym leader at a video game convention a couple times (all the leaders picked a Pokémon - it was a bit of variety after three years of gym leader characters).

S Rank - Some of the cutest designs (Muslim, Skitty, Spheal), some of the greatest legendaries and mythic (Rayquaza, Jirachi, Latias), and many Pokémon I absolutely adore for one reason or other. Flygon and Altaria are the two I did gijinkas of - my costumes weren’t amazing so I don’t really have pictures, but for Flygon I kinda went for a style similar to Tiki from FE and for Altaria it was a pretty simple blue dress with a short cake made of a really soft white fluffy material I got from the discount scraps at a fabric store lol. These are mostly design based, the one real exception is Sableye is just one I love using competitively. Prankster is a hell of a gimmick. Also, Rayquaza is traditionally one of my two main TCG decks (the other being some variety of energy spam, usually water) and Jirachi is another one I love using for battle (Serene Grace Iron Head is funny as hell).

A Rank - Okay not making the rest of these as long as the first one. A lot of designs I really like. Feebas is doing its best. The rest of the evo lines for several things in my S tier. Hoenn has one of my favorite starter sets as a whole. I like Hoenn’s pair Pokémon gimmick, but some hit better than others.

B Rank - Overall good things! Just not my favorites. Regice is indeed the best Regi… at least, of the original trio. The tier of “I respect you but you’re not quite it for me personally”.

C Tier - Meh.

D Tier - I have a vendetta against Pelipper. No I will not elaborate. Otherwise, things that just don’t quite do something right.

E Tier - Why are these like this? + the one pair I don’t care for.

F Tier - Gulpin and Swalot are creepy. Castform, regular… well… who approved that?

Are there any kin in the gijinka worl that could be consider "in danger"? Like, that there are really, really few of them?

Feebas for one are rare; if you see one, count yourself lucky. Not many of them exist because as Feebas they’re ‘too ugly’ to associate with and as Milotic they’re obviously ‘out of your league.’ So...not a whole lot of kids get made.

Dreepy are also uncommon folk to find-mainly because how one must die is rather specific; One must be killed by a piercing projectile weapon-and in Galar, the most common piercing projectile is the bow and arrow. Of course, not many people are killed by bows and arrows now a days and most all of the Dreepy lines are from the middle ages. Not all, but most.

Deinos are often hard to find because they simply...don’t want to have children because it’s too sad of a process. Zwelious become conjoined twins upon evolution, with one being the dominate ‘original’ child and the weaker one parasitic. When they evolve into hydrageions, the stronger absorbs the weaker personality. And sometimes that isn’t the original child they started with. Many Hydrageions spend most of their life missing their sibling and parents mourn the loss of a child.
