Random thought that I’m probably not articulating well, and maybe I’m deeping it too much, but I do find it a little alarming how much fanart I see that captures these characters’ beauty in the form of what is, essentially, Instagram/social media standard of beauty. Don’t get me wrong, everyone has the creative freedom to create what they want to create, and I can’t exactly say shit because I can barely draw a stick figure, but I’ve seen so many depictions of ACOTAR characters where they look like they’re pumped full of lip filler and other shit, where it looks like they have an Instagram filter on them, where there’s almost an uncanny look to them, and I find it interesting and, quite frankly, a little worrying, that that’s what so many people equate these characters’ stunning beauty to, as if they could not be beautiful any other way. We know that they’re supposed to have an ethereal, otherworldly beauty, because they’re ethereal, otherworldly beings, but it’s almost as if people have forgotten that there is beauty in things like freckles, and dimples, and different body types, and natural features and characteristics that make us who we are. It’s interesting that so many people translate that beauty into the carbon copy social media influencer standard of beauty, as if natural beauty isn’t quite enough. This isn’t everyone, of course — I’ve seen so much beautiful fanart that captures the beauty of these characters without turning them into instagram models. But there’s also a scary amount that does exactly that — maybe from younger members of the fandom? I don’t know. And I guess that has me wondering…is that all many people see beauty as now? Have we stopped appreciating the natural things about people that make them who they are? 🤔

i have big desires for how tallulah and chayanne will react to possessed phil

because i constantly think about how phil reacted to code tallulah and chayanne because the WAY that he immediately clocked on it and IMMEDIATELY went “those aren’t my kids” he didn’t NEED to check those beds but he did to prove it to himself and everyone else. now it’s the reverse, phil is the weird one and the death kids are catching on. and i want so badly for them to clock on immediately. tallulah is already speaking to other eggs but i want to see her talk to other players, i know there’s so few trustworthy people on (as in they don’t join on) right now but like Bagi, Fit and maybe Cellbit, i don’t know when Etoiles coming back on but that would be cool to see. these are just like the most realistic ideas of who would help. (Tubbo with his current rp situation might not but also cc tubbo would probably want to help his friend so i have no idea how that would go) i see it like tallulah would spread the word while chayanne distracts “phil” from catching on, maybe even catching evidence like how phil did with the beds. the kids run around trying to help get their dad back but without “him” catching on. i already have SO many ideas how they could do this or further develop this idea. and then one day it ALL comes to ahead like phil never comes to get them from his looting, and they go to someone else who’s online and they start talking about how they have literally no idea where he is, like last stream sure he was gone for a while BUT he was checking the tab list every now and then, it was out of the normal but they were in fact not awake. i’m talking he sees they’re awake, he acknowledges to the crows they’re awake but he doesn’t go to them. i’m talking they’re awake for a whole 20 minutes, but he doesn’t STOP.

okay i'll bite, here's my jeremy knox speculations !!!

it's nothing super outrageous in my opinion, as fun and interesting as that would be, but alas lets dig in.

with regards to the police, his step grandfather is a congressman which means his step father probably has political ties too. this could mean they have ties to the police force perhaps involved in funding or something?? hence why jeremy would be recognised by them bc he gets forced to go to these occasions to paint a perfect family picture and maybe they're full of cops?? and maybe that's just not something he wants to be associated with lmao. cannot blame him now can we?

rhemann tells jean he can ask jeremy to leave the vicinity if he wants to press charges and call the cops i don't think this is because jeremy could get in trouble or anything bc i don't think rhemann would risk that. i think it's just because him being there might have sway or might lead to more gossip among the force that jean would wanna avoid. and if rhemann knows about whatever this weird avoiding police thing is i'm not sure it would be something so horrible??

in terms of his past. personally i don't agree jeremy was aggressive as a teen. i read him talking about his high school team as more of a "they played that way. i didn't vibe with it. i wanted to make sure my college team wasn't the same" i mean it's basically what he says he doesn't imply anything else but again the guy is closed off as HECK so god knows. but i don't think jeremy has an aggressive tendency. i feel like, given how the foxes have their entire lives pried into, if jeremy had such a reputation in the past (being in a class 1 team and captain of it no less) it would be known. and jean would know bc of kevin's obsession. like that would be a huge scandal.

i don't think he's done anything crazy like murder or manslaughter or has any assault charge. although that screenshot i posted a couple days ago is very Very sus, i think it might stem from how his family makes him feel about himself. because again i don't think he'd be able to keep any of that hidden.

UNLESS it's been all swept under the rug thanks to the political ties from the step family, and maybe that's why they dislike him so much. but again i think it's all a bit far fetched bc i don't think jeremy would be able to be so well adjusted after something like that, even after attending therapy.

which brings me to my next point, which is where he mentioned his mother finding the therapist for him and his family as he says "us" when talking about it which means they all see this therapist and jean mentions jeremy does not seem bothered to be exposed for having to go to therapy. i think if he was in therapy bc he did something really terrible he wouldn't want it known. especially if it's meant to be swept under the rug. i think this is in relation to the mysterious brother and the possibility of losing them to suicide. as he becomes very serious when jean says he promised he wouldn't kill himself saying it's nothing to joke about. also his concern for jean's wellbeing after ravens start dropping like flies maybe bc he knows how the grief feels.

thought that could also be a far fetched speculation because jeremy says the fall banquet broke their family in half. it's obvious his step family and his older brother and younger sister are not on his side, his mother sounds questionable too. so maybe that just leaves his other brother and his father and again maybe it's just a case of them being supportive of jeremy's sexuality.

there's also a brief mention of jeremy's dad being stationed in europe - some kind of military man?? since his mother re-married there's definitely something there too. maybe jeremy still keeps in touch with his father and it's not appreciated by the rest of the family? idk this one's a bit of a stretch but i feel like it might crop up again. what with jeremy not wanting to be addressed as "knox" as well - is that his father's name or his step father's name??? why does he not like it??

moving on to the scandal at the fall banquet i think this has to do with jeremy getting outed for being gay. lucas before cutting himself off at the beach says "now that you're.." implying they didn't know before so maybe jeremy was keeping it under wraps but got involved with someone from another team (???) at the banquet and got caught. his step grandfather and step father, and brother are probably very conservative and of course did not agree with jeremy's "lifestyle" and i think this had consequences on the whole family as it probably got out and "tarnished" their image. jeremy was probably asked to give up exy so as not to get involved with all "that" and he obviously refused. punishment for that probably meant his sister not caring for his games anymore as he wouldn't compromise for her, him getting put on a strict allowance and his mother's bookkeeper having to keep up with his expenses bc he's only given a certain amount of money. maybe a way for them to take back control over his life?? it also could explain why he has to stay at home during the school year so they can keep an eye on him perhaps??? also him getting dismissed from the dinner table bc of his hair as well idk sounds like his family are probs homophobic. also kind of a stretch but mayyyybeee the reason jeremy feels so bad is because he got the person he was involved with into trouble so he feels like a terrible person. but again there's really no alluding to that or implication i'm basically just taking a wild guess. but i feel like it would make some sort of sense

TLDR; i think jeremy's big "scandal" was that he's gay and his step family are just not accepting so they make his life difficult on purpose and he struggles to stand up to them about it

watching merlin is all fun and games until you start wondering why merlin was ready to sacrifice himself from the very beginning and realise it's for the sake of having a purpose. a kid from a small village with powers greater than anyone could even begin to explain, told to hide and tuck away such a large part of himself, because just by being himself the world would turn into a more dangerous place. he's then sent to the very heart of said danger, seeing first hand, again and again, what happens to people like him. and once again he's told not to say anything, to be careful. all this weight he carries due to his magic - it has to mean something right? sure it's helpful here and there, but it also brings about worries for him and those he loves. it HAS to be for something. of course the bright-eyed and unknowing merlin from s1 would latch onto the fate and the destiny of it all. it's a purpose, it's meaning, it's a reason, it's an explanation. from the very beginning, he just wanted to be, feet sold on the ground. and, yeah, people often seek out meaning for their lives, but it's an interesting play with magic itself, as it's so hated. all the suffering and fear and secrets. no wonder those with magic had determinations made of steel, born out of pure spite and unguarded need to exist for something more, something beyond what they're told.

The people who constantly ask from creators one singular thing bother me, it’s been happening a lot from Eggsmr with hazbin hotel fans begging him to make more Lucifer x listener ASMR Even though he’s ALREADY MADE 4 PARTS and said he wasn’t gonna do anymore, please be glad you got 4!!!

So much demand has caused him to state that he doesn’t feel like making anymore of character impressions/ASMRs and that sucks for the people who enjoy those but also Egg himself-

I’ve seen this type of stuff before, especially within fandoms such as NWTB, back when Nate was grinding pulling out so many FNAF songs just to please people and fans that he got sick of it, he only uses the FNAF brand to post music because he knows fandom music is the only thing that’ll reach to the audience and algorithm

Like, fuck YouTube for shadowbanning his ass to only make fandom music but I’d love to hear more original stuff not only from Eggsmr and Nate but other creators too!

As much as I love making fandom content and obsessing over my goobers, please respect others wishes on wanting to make their own original stuff, their things are just as good as the fandom things!!!!

I never usually do this kind of thing, and I might delete this later, but I feel really kind of shitty about this at the minute and for once I'm going to say it.

I have never written for the feedback. Don't get me wrong, comments and kudos and reblogs make me so happy but it's not what I do it for. I write because I enjoy it, because it's one of the few hobbies I truly have that isn't ever impacted by my disability.

Saying that, these last few weeks, there has been a noticeable decline in interaction with what I am putting out there (especially on AO3) and it is really disheartening. And my anxiety peaks and tells me I'm past it and no one wants to read my fics anymore so why bother. (I do my best not to listen to that voice, because I know I write for me as much as I write for y'all...but it's hard)

It's always been odd. Multi-chapters ALWAYS get less interaction even though they take much more effort than one-shots. Some things take off even though I pulled them together in a couple of hours, and some things I've planned and spent days thinking about/pulling together don't.

And it's fine, but I am one of a handful of creators for this very small fandom. I'm never going to get 100s of notes here or comments on A03 because of the very nature that this fandom is small, and that's okay. I would rather write for something I truly love, a ship that has truly rotted my brain for close to 3 years, than something else just because it gets more interaction.

But today I'm just feeling a little sad about it, and if there's one thing I've learned it's sometimes better just to say it and get it out, and then move on.

(by move on i don't mean stop writing, i literally have so many thoughts for these two my brain might explode, i mean move on from feeling crappy about something i can't control haha)

Not really phases of the incident but more like different concepts of what could have happened? These are mostly scrapped now but I figured I could post them since they were technically almost done. This is again leaning into the "what if Dalv was the Integrity SOUL's final boss fight" idea I had. Maybe if I figure this out I'll make a doodle page or something.

Ramblings below the cut for my thought process atm when it comes to me trying to figure out the timeline of events with the Snowdin Incident. Because I am fucking STRUGGLING with this one.

All I know that I have to work with is:

-Kanako was unharmed -Dalv was injured, bad enough to be traumatized by it. He's also aware of the integrity human dying. (He mentions that day just repeating for him, which is probably flashbacks.) -Chujin knows that Dalv was injured, and instead of comforting his daughter or helping Dalv, he sends Axis after the human only to arrive to an absolute mess of a scene when he finds Axis and the remains of the human.

So the first issue:

Did Chujin and Axis show up before the human ran? Chujin was told by the other Snowdin residents about the human and he definitely found Kanako and Dalv at least. I'm actually starting to lean towards him having not arrived before the human ran since Chujin mentions that Kanako had no one to protect her (technically incorrect, as Dalv was 100% there and likely would have been protecting her. BUT if he had died then she would have been next with no one to save her). This would mean that for Kanako to be unharmed and for Dalv to be still alive, one of three things had to have happened:

a. The human decided to spare Dalv. Maybe because they didn't want to kill in front of another child or because they just decided to spare Dalv after beating him up. They then ran to waterfall because that was the next area they needed to go to get to the castle, and had no idea that Axis would be following soon.

b. Dalv managed to deal enough damage that the human decided to flee. He does mention holding back against Clover, and he's one of few monsters that live long enough to speak a few sentences after a fatal hit (like Starlo, Ceroba, Papyrus, and Undyne to name a few examples, who are all stronger regular monsters). And as we've seen from Undyne, even regular monsters can hold their own against a human if they're protecting someone or something. Hell, with Undyne we even have to run from her to be able to spare her in UT. The problem with this is that Dalv mentions that he won't run away this time ("All I know is that somehow... you found me. Sorry to make things difficult but I'm not cowering away this time"). But I'm not sure if he means the snowdin incident or if he means when he ran away twice from Clover in the dark ruins. Because while he's mistaking Clover for the integrity human here, he did run away from them in the dark ruins. However the pillar fun value event has Dalv running away???

c. Dalv and Kanako ran when they had the chance. But then why did the human run to waterfall instead of just wiping out snowdin? Sure Dalv and Kanako could have been the last monsters the human encountered before waterfall, but then Chujin would have likely encountered the human before Dalv and Kanako did. Not only that but from the sounds of it, Dalv stuck around for a bit probably due to injuries since Chujin mentions that he should have stayed to help calm Kanako down and to help Dalv with his injuries.

So what the hell is the timeline of events here? Like. Was the human already past Snowdin and went backwards for some reason at some point? Maybe they found out what happened to some of the other humans and that upset them to the point where they started violently defending themselves? I dunno.

The second issue:

Who the hell is the "friend" that Dalv mentions in his journal that apparently "doesn't exist"? I'm guessing it's whoever was leaving the corn right? Maybe Kanako since he said it's been a year?

I have no idea. I'm gonna go back to trying to figure out more stuff and put a timeline together for this. See ya.

Think I need to post fic a bit less frequently tbh. The paucity of comments in comparison to how much and how frequently I write is getting me down.

Nobody owes me comments (and possibly slowing down will help me improve the quality of my work so I earn more comments naturally) and it's not like I don't get comments - I get more comments in this fandom than basically any other fandom I've been in. But obsessing over comments and stats is getting me down, precisely *because* this is such an active fandom in comparison to most of my previous ones.

I feel like I should be getting more comments than I do, and then I wonder if my work just isn't that good, but I also know that like. People have lives and don't have the brain space to comment on everything!! And maybe I overwhelm people with how much/how frequently I post if ppl do actually want to keep up with what I'm writing

Anyway idk I just felt like making a post about this because it's been playing on my mind today/recently. I'm definitely not gonna stop posting/writing fic! I'm just gonna...try and chill a bit.
