hey there, it's me, marina @annabelle--cane. you've seen these brackets before, you know the drill, it's time to watch these bastards kill each other.

rules/guidelines:

I'm using "tumblrman"/"the jokner of musicals" because a lot of the characters iconic to this genre are minors and it wouldn't be appropriate for an adult (<- me) to call them sexymen, but it also wouldn't feel right to just leave them out. I think these terms carry most of the same energy while leaving out sexual connotations.

personally, I will be voting and selecting based on levels of iconicness and how hard a choke hold these characters had on me and my peers, not based on which characters I actually think are best or that I like the most. I know this guideline is completely unenforceable and people will just black out and vote for their blorbos, but if this gets a good turn out, maybe I'll do a "favorite/best/most musical character" tournament afterwards.

there are a few characters who are already guaranteed spots (jd, beetlejuice, the squip, etc.), but still feel free to submit any obvious choices, especially if you've got compelling propaganda.

there are a few characters I don't feel comfortable including, but I don't think people are likely to submit them and I think posting a list would invite discourse, so I'll just say that I leave it ultimately up to my discretion whether or not to dismiss certain nominations.

since I will be selecting characters based on how iconic I think they were/are, nominees will likely skew male, but submissions are also open to female and nonbinary characters. the jonkler of musicals can be any gender.

similarly, I'm going to prioritize characters from stage musicals, but you may also submit characters from movie, TV, podcast, song cycle, or other medium musicals. if you're unsure, just go ahead and submit them and I'll figure it out.

this is a CRINGE POSITIVE space. ribbing on your past self or 2017 musical fandom culture as a whole is all fine and good, but try to keep in the spirit of friendly competition and stay away from being outright mean. if what you're saying is indistinguishable from a homophobe talking about their high school gsa, I will block you and delete your comments.

Ok ok I have decided to open back up my requests to do Final Fantasy requests due to Rebirth coming out recently. I will open up to other fandoms but most likely just a few (don't wanna overwhelm myself again)

I will have rules for this bc I don't like doing REALLY nasty stuff. I see enough as is... besides it's fun seeing wholesome lovey dovey bs or a good fight every once in a while.

Below will be the rules and fandoms and feel free to give me prompts/ prompt ideas as long as they're not complicated. I also do headcanons. I also listed my Original story characters below and what race they are. I'd be SO HAPPY if you guys would get excited for em.

Rules

Be nice and don't come after me if your prompt/request is not finished within the timeframe you thought it'll be done. Just be patient.

No nasty prompts! Keep it to very minimum. I will do blood, weapons, fights etc etc. no gore unless it's like a severed arm in a fight or something idk. I will do just about any gender/sexuality (within reason, no complicated ones)

Keep your requests to one or two at a time. Don't spam me with a lot of ideas. I know you're excited but also tell me WHO you want so it's also easier.

I'll do characters as long as it's APPROPRIATE. Some of these characters are/maybe are under age/close to 18 yo. Only wholesome like for them (no nasty, fights/sparring are an exception.) Under age/close to 18 and questionable characters that I've listed are marked by this color

Echoes of Devotion Echoes of Devotion (EoD for short) is an AU based on the original timeline with a supernatural/fantasy based twist. Heaven and Hell truly exist and so do the inhabitants, this also includes other creatures that live within the shadows of society, like beast men, cryptids, and spirits of all kinds. (Character Summary TBA when story draft is finished)

Three Stars (OT3 AU) Three Stars is mostly a self indulgent au of my OC Aethena with Henry and William. It's basically three middle aged people trying to take care of five kids and it's very canon divergent as it's possible that the events of main canon don't ever happen (or happen much later on, as I haven't really thought about it as it started as just slice of life kind of stuff due to the immense angst of Echoes of Devotion)

i've been daydreaming since i was a little kid! my madd isn't super severe, but it does have some negative impacts on my silly little life, mostly with intrusive and upsetting daydreams. It's genuinely incredible how fully you capture the essence of the characters??? Not just their looks, but the way their personalities just shine through so fully in everything you draw???? And re: my fic - the only reason I locked my ao3 fic is because of the issues of AI training on anything open - I actually hate having my stuff locked down, and would like to unlock it some point in the future, tbh (and I know ao3 has instituted anti-ai crawling measures, but the idea of it still bothers me, which is why I haven't unlocked yet), which is my long-winded way of saying: absolutely, I always give blanket permission for anything non-AI re: my fic!

And beyond that, I'd be absolutely thrilled if you're inspired by anything I've written/rambled, haha <333 (and omg especially re: the bones in the middle tags lollllll)

Helloo!! I'm Pichu/Peaches, Freakazoid extraordinaire.

I've been in this fandom for... over a decade at this point-- wasn't around for when the show proper aired, but got into it from some internet video or another, and had been lurking for awhile before I finally made my contributions to the fandom (and hope to make more).

Huge writer (esp of Freakazoid in general), and hope to one day dip my foot into art as well. I'm as small as you might think from my name association, and while I tend to act more impulsively than I think I like to imagine it leads to some neat revelations from me than if I waited a long time.

No strict DNI, I usually decide who I don't want to interact with via blocking. Bigots get blocked on sight. Would also rather not interact with anyone making pedophillic or incestual content with Freakazoid-- which I think is unlikely but, y'know, covering my bases.

Projects

My current planned Freakazoid projects are as follows:

Glitch in the System - Arc 1, 2, and 3.

My initial project for the fandom, that I've since taken to rebooting due to several elements that I thought I could rewrite better. Planned to have three eventual stories.

Spark!

A more 'traditional' reboot in that it's a lot more typical-- hero fights a rogues gallery and what not, with way more action scenes within it. While more 'simple', I'm not intending it to be entirely flat either.

My current much bigger project-- taking place in Electri City, and focusing on how this city affects our protagonist... and those he's wronged in order to progress his streaming career.

Freakaspective

A project on this very blog! I'm currently going through the freakazoid series to make comments on it-- from jokes, to headcanons, to what could be pulled for a reboot. In general it's just an excuse to have a re-look at a show I love very dearly.

I'll likely share tidbits of all three of these projects at one point or another-- and also write short stories/drabbles/portions of scenes from all three that I'll post in their own short story collections-- both to get a vibe of how i should write it............ and also so i'm writing something so i don't get brain mold lol.
