I haven't seen people mention this one, but we have another song from the OFF remaster! And I'm sure it's the equivalent to Unreasonable Behaviour.

This one is composed by NightMargin (interview here), better known for OneShot (both the game and the soundtrack). This song was made as a tribute to HOME's creator (an OFF fangame), Felixthejudge- Go check out that interview!

I'm personally really in love with this one, and I did really not expect to see yet another known name in this soundtrack

whenever someone thats like beloved by a niche internet community dies and people keep that person's name (or @) alive for years afterwards and mention them any time something new happens with the thing they were famous for it makes me so sad and soft

yesterday i was reading the comments under nightmargin's new song for the off re-release soundtrack and everyone was talking about felixthejudge (context: OFF is an old videogame thats very influential to the pixelated rpg story rich type games like undertale. it's getting a re-release this year, and has a new soundtrack. felixthejudge was a guy that made a popular fangame and was very well known in the fandom back in the day, he died in a car accident in 2017. nightmargin is the creator of another game, oneshot, and was felix's friend too- she's one of the people working on the new soundtrack) and it made me tear up

I have not drawn a full piece of OFF fanart in awhile beyond personal doodles i only share to friends. But i figured i would again!

Theres so many new artists in the fandom since I last actively checked the tag. So to any new fans of the game; Do yourself a favor and play Felixthejudge’s fangame HOME

Felix used to be a fairly well known name in the fandom (maybe he still is! I only kinda skimmed the tag). LOTS of fangames in this fandom, but i still honestly believe HOME is the best one.

5 years ago, this month, Felix, aka Aaron Mullins, sadly passed away. I myself wasn’t extremely close to him, but I have/had friends who were, and I still spoke to him somewhat regularly. He was a good person and I think his game deserves to be seen by more people. He really did inspire so much creativity back then, and nothing would make me happier I think than to see more people talking about and creating fangames in this fandom again, and I think that he would like that too, honestly.

Ce week-end, ça faisait tout juste un an que Aaron ‘Felix’ Mullins est mort (3 mars 2017 à 22h30 heure américaine, 4 mars 2017 à 4h30 heure de Paris). C’est dingue, ce que le temps passe vite...

Malheureusement, Markiplier n’a toujours pas fait de playthrough de HOME, son fangame de OFF, comme il (Felix) le souhaitait. Mais je vois sa communauté qui continue encore activement d’insister pour que ça se produise. Avec un peu de chance, ils arriveront à le convaincre de le faire un jour.

Je ne l’avais pas encore annoncé, mais ma traduction de HOME est terminée. Elle est disponible en téléchargement ici. Je pense faire une vidéo “trailer�� sur YouTube (une simple version française du trailer original, en quelque sorte) pour l’accompagner.

Si vous désirez soutenir sa fiancée, Ashley ‘Teals’ Green, son lien YouCaring est toujours actif. Elle est toujours en train de guérir, et elle fait de son mieux pour réaliser ce que Felix voulait réaliser. Il aimait les animaux, et Teals s’occupe actuellement des lapins et des chatons abandonnés que Felix avait recueillis en gardant l’espoir de monter un refuge en son nom. This week-end, it’s been exactly a year since Aaron ‘Felix’ Mullins died (03/03/2017 10:30PM CST, 03/04/2017 4:30AM Paris time). It’s crazy how fast time flies...

Unfortunately, Markiplier still hasn’t done a playthrough of HOME, son fangame de OFF, like he (Felix) wanted. But I see his community keeping on insisting to make it happen. Hopefully, they’ll get Mark to do it one day.

I didn’t announce it yet, but my French translation of HOME is over. It can be downloaded right here. I’m thinking of making a “trailer” video on YouTube (just a French version of the original trailer, kind of) to go with it.

If you wish to support his fiance Ashley ‘Teals’ Green, her YouCaring page still is active. She’s still healing and trying to do her best to do what Felix wanted to do. He was an animal lover, and Teals currently is taking care of all the abandoned kittens and rabbits Felix rescued while still hoping to create an animal rescue in his name. If you can’t donate anything, I encourage you to share the link at the least.

Teals also created a memorial Tumblr blog for Felix. Feel free to go take a look and share your memories of Felix or even your feelings about him or HOME.

Been missing Felix and feeling a lot of emotions lately. Feeling hopeless. I know it's not hopeless, but our cats are aging and getting sick, I'm scared to lose them. I hope everyone involved with him are doing well. Genuinely.

PSA UNDER CUT

//Hey guys...Sorry I haven’t really been all that active. I’ve had a rather fucked up weekend that spiraled down into Hell on Thursday and extended the whole weekend. So I been loafing on my girlfriend all weekend and talking to whatever friends come talk to me first and just huddling in my corner. I want you guys to know I’m doing okay. I’m just in a really bad situation right now as far as my parents go. Well, rather my mother. I dread sleep because of the nightmares I been having. My Dear was on the phone with me and I kept jerking awake out of sleep and groggily calling out for her because I dread my dreams that much. I know I need sleep I just. I dread sleeping. I’ve been waking up more tired and I’ve been... In a hole. Between my mom and my sister... Mom spent the weekend ignoring me and not talking to me over a dumb fight that I barely remember. My sister takes mom’s side because she only hears mom’s side. 

I’ve got a supportive girlfriend and I don’t think she realizes how much, in just one month of dating on top of being friends for like. A year and a half...No. She’s my best friend...Really helped me. That’s not to say I’m dependent. It’s that she and I have both had crummy weekends for different reasons and we just still manage to make one another so happy. I mean yeah, we have our down times but it’s just. Imagine you’ve been searching your whole life for a puzzle piece and it just always sorta fits. And the edges that don’t fit quite right yearn the most and worst and you eventually get frustrated and just throw all the pieces away because the one you have had in your chest is getting more holes and less communication. Then you realize the piece that resonates with you has been there, even while you’re trying all these pieces that don’t fit and you’ve just unknowingly supported one another. Even if you both have braved through some not as well relationships and dare I say toxic, you could always fall back on one another.

I’ve...Been really fucked up since Felix (FelixTheJudge) passed away March 3rd. I get random pangs of missing him because he encouraged so many friends. That kid was so strong. I know I talked him through some of his sad moments and he talked with me through some of mine. Sometimes I get random pangs where I miss him, like I miss Danny, an old friend of mine. Or Nancy... i have a bad phobia of cars because they all died in car accidents. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to drive because I panic so much. But I’ve started to come to conclusion I get random pangs of sadness because... It reminds me I haven’t forgotten about them. Mom and dad have been hounding me about moving on but I don’t. Want to. Because remembering them and feeling pain is natural. Sure sometimes I may grow numb to it. Sometimes it might hurt worse. But it’s...There.

As long as I don’t let the past ruin my present and future. I mean. My physical scars on my hands and the pale one on the wrist that my tattoo covers... Why does my emotional and mental ones hinder? Brej... My Girlfriend. Sarah...And so many others. I’m surrounded by many people who support me. I used to wonder how Felix could move on if he felt so down but I realized... I realized that he had a support network and just knowing that, while I was friends with the dude I wasn’t as close as others, People unknowingly help me simply by talking. Even if it’s about the stupidest or most random shit. (Sorry Sarah. I kinda spammed you hard.) It warms me to know I just...Help people by talking, too.

I guess you could say I’m thanking you all for being so patient with me. And thank you so much for being there. Even if it’s a simple comment or a like or whatever. Even if we don’t talk or you’re too intimidated and we’re just quiet mutuals. If you’ve done something and I saw you on my newsfeed, I saw you. I noticed you. We may not talk, but I’m still glad to have met you. And know that you can talk to me anytime. Chat about the weather. Send me a Fuck Face. 

Iunno. It’s late and I’m tired and I forgot what point I was making but I’m really blessed despite having such a stressful past four days. I’ve got adulting to do today but I’ll try getting on if my battery can muster replies. 

I’ve got goals in mind, and I’m happy with those around me. That’s right, you too.

RIP FelixTheJudge

I apologise for not hearing about this sooner...evidently HOME creator FelixTheJudge was recently killed in a car accident. Taken from the post on /r/offthegame: “On [Saturday] of March 4, at around 12:45AM, Aaron was the passenger of a crash which, in order to avoid full collision, veered off and struck a guardrail, leaving him the only one in the ordeal to not come out alive.” I can’t say I knew him personally. He was, however, a very active fan of OFF, even in the fandoms waning popularity as of late. This is of course, not including his biggest achievement - HOME, which while I do disagree with some interpretations, is, I think, a fantastic game on its own right and certainly one of the most impressive fangames I’ve ever seen. Not being particularly religious myself (somewhat ironic, considering the icon of this page...), I can’t really say I know what’s happened to the man’s consciousness...but his spirit, I do believe, is alive today - in all of us who knew him (to any degree), and in those everywhere who strive to create art and stories. RIP FelixTheJudge, or Aaron, or whatever you’d like to be called. Thank you for leaving us with a beautiful fangame.
