(there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by#and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is#You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)

Yeah short skirts and crop tops are sexy— but there’s just something about a man that finds you so attractive wearing clothes that shouldn’t be considered typically sexual. Like baggy sweats or his old, worn shirt.
Those plain, boring outfits that aren’t planned and are just thrown together for comfort and practicality that have his dick throbbing for you as he imagines bending you over the nearest surface.

#hah so I survived the first week of the new semester! this painting was done during an especially uninteresting lecture when I couldn't#bring myself to pay full attention to it. so I decided to doodle something instead ┐(‘～`;)┌#this is definitely not my usual style but I felt like doing some inking again and playing textures and brushes that I'm not used to#(normally I use only three brushes - 6b pencil. square pastel. wet marker XD)#i found out that limiting my options is often the reasonable thing to do but sometimes it's also nice to experiment and go crazy x'D#but now my brain hurts from all the frustration from finishing this painting -recognizing when to stop sometimes proves to be a challenge XD#mayhem art#hiw should I tag this??#dream of the endless#i suppose... i mean I strayed a lot and idk what the story behind this one is anymore#dreamling#if you believed me that this is dream then you surely agree that it must be Hob who's braiding Dream's hair right?

It's not perfect but I am very happy with it + I am so happy to put down the tablet pen.#Digital art has some nice features but I'm sticking with traditional! I need a month to recover from the 2+ weeks of torture.#Okay lets talk about the AU and the comic now#Disco elysium has some of the best existential-horror-dream sequences I have ever seen.#The dialogue here is heavily inspired by The Final Dream - A scene I'd love to talk about more were it not so heavy with spoilers.#My AU is a lot more complex than a simple character swap but I really felt like LWJ + YLLZ fit this scene.#The final dream is about being unable to move on from a lost love. From something You made holy. From something You ruined.#It is about realizing that no matter how smart you are or what you offer or how you try to change -#You will never be able to turn back time. You will never ever be able to fix what is broken. That you also have been broken for a long time#You are a fuck-up who worships the nail covered ground of someone who did not want to be holy. And even though it hurts-#You cannot let this nightmare go. The pain keeps the love close. It is worse to forget. You promised to remember.#WWX died thinking LWJ disliked him. LWJ lost someone he thought was revolted by his love.

Charlie: (rocks on her feet back and forth awkwardly while holding something behind her back) Well.... it isn't bought.
Vaggie: (eye widens slightly as she blinks in confusion) ...Okay?
Charlie: (holds up a piece of macaroni art) Ta-da! I made this for you!
Vaggie: (takes the piece carefully) You made this?
Charlie: (bashfully as she taps her hooves) I... uh... know it's a bit childish, but I wanted to give you something to show you how much you mean to me... (blushes harder) As A Friend!!! Best Friend!!!
Vaggie: (looks at the crude macaroni artwork of what looks like Charlie and herself drawn in front of a giant, castle like building that has "Happy Hotel" written on the sign) Charlie... this isn't... well, okay, it's a little childish, but it's you. It's adorable. Thank you.
Charlie: (clasps her hands together with sparkles in her eyes) You really like it?! You're not just saying that?
Vaggie: Mmhmm. And I actually have something for you too. Just a sec. (places the art piece on her wall with a thumbtack and pulls a glittery rainbow binder out from underneath her bed along with a bag filled with craft supplies) I'm glad I was able to scrounge up some money to get you these. I figured you could use it to start organizing your thoughts for that rehabilitation hotel.
Charlie: (gasps and takes the gift with tears in her eyes as snot starts to drip from her nose) Vaaaaagggggggiiiiiiiie.... This is *sniff* the sweetest *sniiiiiiiffffff* gift *snort* anyone's ever given meeeeeeeee.
Vaggie: I take it you like it?
Charlie: (cradling the supplies to her chest like they're a stray kitten she found on the sidewalk) Thank you!
