I’ve been playing Honkai Star Rail and looking at leaks and I’m gonna be honest
I’m gonna be honest, Blade and Dan Heng and Dan Feng and Yingxing and their whatever have me feeling the most insane I’ve felt in months, like I’m feeling crazy thinking about them and all the theories people have about them. The dragon heart theory? I literally feel compelled to self destruct every time I see or hear it, anytime the two of them are talked about in relation to each other, I get the urge to scream
Their lore is… it’s so good, it’s immaculate, It’s my favorite out of HSR so far easily
Blade’s lore also like before he came to the Luofu is so painful too… like Hoyoverse decided that for right now he’s gonna be both a metaphorical (Hoyo making his whole life from childhood tragic as hell) and literal (for Jingliu) punching bag in this game.

Yinyue-jun had been an almost-god, a draft nearing inking, an ersatz deity who had collapsed its pedestal to walk among mortals, pushing the joke to the point of becoming a devotee itself. Because what else could one call this obsession bordering on the maniacal, which had chained this superior being to a little thing of fleeting existence like Yingxing ? Dan Feng had made Yingxing's body a temple, an altar, and an idol all at once, transforming every kiss and caress into an offering, every whisper into a prayer, every breath into a plea.
They had wrapped the very meaning of their existence around that of Yingxing, just like ivy wrapped itself around a tree, depending on the trunk’s steadiness so as not to collapse. But just as a tree aged and rotted, collapsing under the weight of the ivy that smothered it, Yingxing had fallen, dragging Dan Feng down with him.
Blade was what had remained of this sacrilegious act, of this tragedy and hidden even deeper within its cracked psyche, there had been Ren.
Ren, who wasn't completely Blade but not entirely Yingxing either.
Ren, who was the edge of a blade, the dividing line between past and future, between emotions and irrationality, between love and hatred.
Ren, torn apart between Yingxing's desire to live for Dan Feng and Blade's desire to die because of Dan Feng.

Rewrite: HSR Always Remember Me- Soft!Yandere!Blade x Reader ft Dan Fengx Yingxing
Dan Feng was your past, Blade your present, and Jing Yuan your Future
Tumblr media
One sided reader maybe ? and Former Dan Feng x Yingxing x Reader Take place either after the quintet split up after the sedition of Imbiter lunae or between joining the stelleron hunters and Abundance Xianzhou event when Blade Marastriken loses memories but regains them and goes back or just before he joins.
From Series: Dan Feng was your past, Blade your present, and Jing Yuan Your Future
A stranger had turned up broken and bleeding near your house. You had struggled to patch him up to the best of your ability and strangely he healed despite your nonexistent healing skills.
You had to be careful with him injured as he was raving and a bit mad possibly when you found him. Sick from something. Swinging his sword like a lifeline he wouldn't let go until he collapsed from blood loss. You wrapped his wounds and and set aside his clothes to repair later helping him into clean set a bit nervously looking away when you could.
He was ripped but weak. He slept unconscious for a long time until he woke
"Stay with me I don't have much but I and keep you safe while you recover," you ask as he nods having no idea where else to go.
You sometimes wonder if he imprinted on you with his obsessive fire-red eyes. Swallowing you whole with the intensity of his stare as he mimicked your daily chores once he was well enough to get up. He healed at an astounding rate for the extent of his injuries.
He stayed feeling familiarity and an odd sense of rightness for this place. Feeling safe by your appearance though he didn't know why maybe because you were weak and unarmed and healed him.
He was like a baby bird after recovery following you like a mother hen.
Intimidating like a big guard dog always with the blade he hugged close to his arms that he would not let go even during recovery though he did not seem to know why.
That's how he was named as he had to be called something not just Mr. Mute Man. But you had limited naming skills but said the first thing that came to mind seeing him "How about Blade for the sword you carry?"
Blade was an enigma and a puzzle probably best left unsolved. Why he was here? What happened exactly? is still a mystery to you and you could only take the broken body in and fix what you could to the best of your ability. Hopelessly, helplessly all over again.
At first, He didn't sleep watching you until you dropped off in exhaustion.
While you snoozed, he'd disappear haunting the house and the forge in the back. His hand lingered picking and putting down tools. An aborted half motion from instinct. until one day he followed through and you found him hammering raw metal the fires blazing in the abandoned smithy of the previous homeowner. A friend and swordsmith who had been unlucky enough to perish by the blade of a sword master forged by his own hands. However now you were not alone, not anymore with the newly named Blade by your side.
Life was domestic easier with him helping to chop wood for fires to keep you warm at night. Planting the next year's crop. Weaving the threads of a new outfit for him as his was tattered beyond repair. You trying to fix to the best of your ability the old threads.
Sometimes, at night you found your friend often had night terrors that were soothed by stroking his hair. A practice that started when he would hover watching you and following where you went like a bodyguard even when you close the door on him when going to the bathroom.
He would stand stock still his blade the one thing he had brought with him as if it was a plushie he held tight. He was waiting for you to leave so he could follow. The sight of him like a forlorn puppy in the rain or a child hugging their favorite toy causes you to reach out instinctively to comfort him. Your hand slipped through sickly blue-black strands before you knew it
"ah sorry " you drew back but he nudged your head as a dog would humming low even perhaps happily for more.
Later that night he plopped his head into your and you brushed out his hair till he slept. Marveling as the blue to red hues " You have such pretty hair. Mr. mute" you commented with thinking soft laugh tinkling from you unbidden as he furrowed brow and returned smile smile. You blushed as such a handsome man smiled back at you.
Your heart seizing at guilt and sadness for his situation.
It maybe would have continued like this never knowing the mystery man never knowing his identity but one day it all changed when he remembered his fractured memories.
He had left for quite some time coming back soaked from his fit after a changeup form the daily routine of brushing it out to pinning it up for something fun to keep his hair out of his eyes during daily chores. A sweet thoughtful gesture went wrong as he had smashe dteh mirror upon seeing it. A trail of blood dripped down from knuckles as he left the house abruptly after breaking a pin you treasured. w hen you had tucked his hair up to the side. A spin on a night-time ritual you did brushing his hair to help him fall asleep that went wrong.
Triggering some lingering PTSD for what you could not fathom.
You didn't see where he went but the rain whipped and the storm went on and the fire blazed with the boom of thunder following the forge. Pounding out his emotions on the metal as he did before.
… The next day the storm settles and he comes back drenched in raina dnsweta
He comes back quiet and solemn with something shiny in his hand, not your broken pin but a small blade.
“In place of your broken pin, a dagger for protection” Blade simply says demonstrating a few parries, lunges, and thrusts with the small sword he had gifted you. More like a dagger easy to conceal in the fold of your clothes.
Tear and eyes burn hearing his speak " You can speak now" Hoarse your voice a mournful echo
“Keep it with you always,” he said thinking of how easy it was to break into your house having done it countless times already. As well was a token in place of him for protection a poor substitute but he had an unspoken mission to pursue. An end to seek that even you couldn’t keep him from now fractured memories were trickling back to him.
"I cannot stay I might hurt you now." Always a gentle giant but fracturing now like the blade in his hand hardly in control as memory and mara seep back the effect of his memory loss lost now.
You like them so much perhaps should start calling you Blade? a past voice friendly and casual yours? echoes in his marastruck mind as he shakes it off to place the blade in your hand. Probably from when you first named him.. right?
“ Be safe” you say being the silent one now unsure what to do now your unexpected guest was leaving,
"You too “ Blade replied a man of awkward silences and few but meaningful words. Even when his voice was back.
Silence choked you from yesterday's explosive incident. You wondered nervous with trepidation maybe even hope at his next word that crushed you. You had yearned to hear his voice again for so long but the cruel words were said.
A grasp of your wrist as he draws you close in a desperate bruising kiss before you go. “Don’t forget .” Blade's eyes burned bright as flame with lost desperation. A hidden side that only softens for you and grips your heart in guilt.
A softer desperate almost inaudible whisper “Always remember for me” he repeats his grip bruising and eyes blazing almost a threat so intense and meaningful for the mara-struck man.
“Of course” you softly say taking his hand with your own to detangle yourself from him. You don’t think you could forget him you tried.
He certainly made an impact. How you could forget someone coming in the rain red dripping off their clothes and seeking shelter at your rundown house?
He spilled his life story in raving, heated mutterings, of fragmented pieces of battles. Mentioning Sinners, dragons and fighting monsters in between a terrible fever you nursed him through. You couldn’t understand the concepts beyond your comprehension, but it seemed he finally remembered.
“You, don’t forget.”
You wonder if he even remembers you or forgot that too. Someone you saved. Someone who saved you once from drowning. You could never forget though it seems he has.
He has all the time in the world and yours is ticking away…. It's the least for can do for the man who will live forever but forgets and you who remembers but will fade away like flowers.
"This I will remember." You promise sadly.
Only harsh truths would only hurt him and you. The thoughts scratch painfully at your heart and leave your mouth dry unable to speak of the too cruel reality and shatter this fantasy of togetherness. To deny him the future he was seeking.
So, you lay still by his side for one last night. A warm body beside him in a sleepless night. You stay awake as long as you can by his side. Pressed against his chest to an unbeating heart as he listens to yours ticking down a time he’ll never have again
In the morning, he turned his back to you and it is the last time you see it .

Imagine: Dan Feng gave Blade the lily Hairpin to hold up his hair and putting his hair up the same with a pin triggers blade. Hence why he wears the healer set but not the pin.
“The pin, you can keep it as a reminder of me?” The water ripples to reflect two figures by the lily pond. When his hair was white, and a lily pin was placed in it to keep his hair out of his eye when forging.
“Flowers suit you more” He harrumphed as he twisted the delicate piece the crafted lily petals caching the light in his hands. It tinged and sang in his hands as parts clicked against each other.
“It could soften your image maybe more people would approach you” teased the Soft smoothly melodic calm voice from his memories. The robed figure behind him under the pagod of the waterlily gardens in the Xianzhou.
“Or remind them of my fleeting lifespan” he huffed grumpily. What use did blacksmith have of a hair ornament nonetheless he tried clumsiy to gather his hair to the soft laugh of his cmpain
“I won’t let that happen.” The eye and voice steady assuring him fooled with
Confidence, foolish , steadiness, reckless, trust, traitor.
Lover. Liar
“Here let me help you” the pin is tucked in his hair swept but in loop on the side and takes root.
hOw doEs it lOok? Same voice but Muddled worried. Panic at the the voice distant. Pain shot through bright as the vision shattered the roots of taking hold and choking the mara setting in.
“He isn’t looking so good this might be the end…
hElp him!
Now spiderlily blooms and is replaced the white with red and the madness raises its ugly head again.
The water rippled. And the lily pond drowned him yet again then dredged him to the surface. To breathe again a life that was set to stop.
Imagine: Playing with Blade's Hair goes wrong…. & Epilogue
A simple updo from behind would make do. You thought pleased with your work as you secured the side loop with a pin so you could see Blade's handsome face and eyes once more.
“Hope do you li-" You barely managed to finish the sentence as Blade smashed the mirror as you tried to show his new do with him having recognized the old hairstyle immediately.
The next day he leaves and you wonder all the ways it went wrong. Or right?
"Always remember me …how cruel Yinxing… when you don't remember me…" you mused as you buried the remains of the broken spider lily pin beside the petals of an old waterlily flower pin in the old forge of your old friend now gone again.
This time he does not come back and you are left with the flower pin graveyard you tend.
You wondered if it was what you deserved the sin of not saying anything, and it was fate that he'd always leave for you for the waterlily.
Yearning for the past was a mistake for the future you could no longer take back.
Outtake to connect to Dusk til Dawn Marastruck fic. Reader x JingYuan (Future) Shadow Member of the Quintet! Reader
Sorry "you cried later in the snowy white haired general arms. Reminiscent of what Blade once had.
"I couldn't keep him here"
"You cannot have it all" he stated practically to soothing you as you did Blade a hand stroking your hair.
"How about this, I have another task for you. We still have baby Bailu to look after… She won't run away as easily" he said sadly trying his best to cheer you up as you cried.
Your first love… and what's worse you had enjoyed what was lost in a domestic dream a silly childish fantasy that you had abandoned once you heard he loved another.
It hurt all the more when you heard from his lips who it was. But you bit your tongue and respected his wishes. To be the respectable, distant, and elegant paragon of vidyhyrdra virtue as expected to be as the sister of Dan Feng the high elder.
It hollowed you out even more so when both Blade and your brother were truly lost to you after the event that split the quintet. Now they and Jing liu had both had left for the wider world both unknowing of any past affections you had all shared for each other as confidants, friend,ss, and the quintet.
Truly you and Jing Yuan were all that was left along with poor baby Bailu, set to inherit the heavy burden of high elder.

Short play 82 Days Later: Crazy Money, Fallen People
Tumblr media
At the end of last year, the short drama industry attracted everyone's attention. This business, which can be produced within a few months and then turn over millions of dollars, has attracted more and more people's interest. With the HE Tuber tightening of policies and changes in platform rules, this hot industry has suddenly gone from noisy to silent.
Someone described the skit after the storm: the disappearing colored cake.
Once this sweet and gorgeous cake appears, it often means that a certain short drama has exploded again - the crew will use it at the celebration banquet, and the cream coating will use crude capital letters to announce an amazing news. Box office figures were initially in the hundreds of thousands, then millions, and finally tens of millions were the norm.
This campaign is so fierce that almost everyone can tell you a legendary story or two.
Wang Han, the founder of the short drama company, remembers that a farmer who had previously made jokes in Kuaishou bought a Ferrari by filming the son-in-law short drama, and he became a counterattack short drama. Jiuzhou Culture, which used to be a distributor of online articles, has transformed. Within two years, it has become the leader in the industry through the distribution of short plays. Founder Wang Jiacheng said that in Jiuzhou, the monthly salary of an online writer may exceed 200,000 yuan - comparable to that of an Internet giant. Income of factory executives.
As for the most widely circulated one, it is nothing more than the "100 million in 8 days" short play "Wu Shuang", which is regarded as the most successful short play to date.
As a drama mode, short plays have actually existed for a long time. It's just that no matter how short the short dramas on the long video platform are, they can't escape the "horizontal screen logic" of the past. As for Dou Kuai, they are still trying to figure out how to make money from short plays in the most silky way?
In this crack, the mini program short drama focusing on "direct payment by users" was born in a wild and reckless manner.
A mini program short drama is cut into countless 1-3 second sliced ads, and then placed using the huge traffic pools of Douyin and Kuaishou. Once captured successfully, users click on the link and eventually jump to the WeChat mini program. Achieve rapid consumption within.
During that period, the short drama market was rolling in real time with a box office of 40-60 million yuan every day. This number is quite astonishing - Soochow Securities has predicted that the entire short drama market may exceed 30 billion yuan in 2023, and throughout 2022, the national The movie box office was only 30.067 billion yuan.
With a short cycle, low cost, and quick payback, mini-program dramas seem like a perfect investment with quick payback and high returns. Game companies entered the market strongly. Some MCN companies were still selecting products in Yiwu last year, but this year they went to Hengdian to grab people. Even Chinese teams as far away as Los Angeles have received domestic short drama business.
But now, the cake is gone and the money is quiet. On November 15, 2023, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television announced the launch of a month-long special short drama management work. 2,139 illegal short dramas were banned or removed from the shelves, including a large number of small program dramas.
The money related to short plays was once crazy, but now it is so cautious. When investors hear about rebirth and revenge, they will say, “Don’t show off your wealth.” The boss of the abortion company refused to be interviewed by the media, claiming that he needed to keep a low profile during this period. Until the end, Fengxing Culture, the short drama company that originally created the myth of "Wushuang", came out to clarify to 36 Krypton that "it didn't earn that much money at all."
In the impression of short drama investor Ma Chenggang, after November 15th, he never waited for the news of the launch of his two mini program short dramas. With an investment of more than 600,000 yuan, it was originally scheduled to be released in November. Due to the tightening of policies, the producer's responses have become slower and more vague.
At first, the other party had many reasons. We had to queue up in Hengdian, and the film couldn’t be edited. Nowadays, censorship is strict, and content that shows off wealth needs to be reconsidered. In the end, the producer simply gave in and admitted honestly that there was no short drama platform willing to take over the film. To this day, Ma Chenggang has only received one feature film collection.
From hustle and bustle to silence, skits, one of the loudest industries in the second half of 2023, suddenly pressed the pause button.
Short drama producer Chen Wen told 36Kr that currently more than 90% of short drama producers have died on the road to streaming and supervision. “The final winner must be the traffic platform.”
1. “Opportunities” for ordinary people
For investor Ma Chenggang, his understanding of short dramas started with a slap.
He is in his 40s and is engaged in steel business in a county in Henan. The business has not been doing well in the past two years, and "people around him are looking for opportunities everywhere." One night, he came across a short play by chance, and after paying for it, he found it very interesting. Ma Chenggang took the initiative to find a producer on social media, who told him that he happened to have a short play that was about to start filming in Hengdian.
When he arrived in Hengdian, he caught up with the crew on the first day of filming. The director team and actors were already in place. On that day, facing the camera, the supporting actress suddenly raised her hand and slapped the beautiful heroine with a loud voice.
The "bang" slap also broke Ma Chenggang's trust in the short drama. Having been a businessman for twenty years, in his opinion, being able to abandon dignity and lose face in front of everyone is "not something that ordinary people can do."
After returning to Henan, he quickly registered a film and television company, signed a contract with the other party the next day, and transferred 200,000 yuan.
Hengdian left a deep impression on Ma Chenggang that day. Props and equipment were everywhere, the headlights were shining brightly, and "everyone was working hard." In fact, Ma Chenggang did catch up with the hottest period of short dramas in Hengdian. Due to the explosion in demand for mini-program short dramas, Hengdian was once nicknamed the "vertical store".
The "Micro Short Drama Market Report for the First Half of 2023" released by Tawen Film and Television Observation shows that a total of 481 micro short dramas were released in the first half of 2023 alone, exceeding the 454 in the whole of 2022. Industry insiders estimate that the number of micro-short dramas in 2023 may eventually exceed 800.
These demands naturally flocked to Hengdian. Producer Chen Wen clearly remembered that in July 2023, there were 200 short drama crews filming in Hengdian at the same time, and their filming schedule was forced to be extended. Can’t even record it.”
Even post-editing was paralyzed for a time. The post-production period originally planned for one month was postponed to two months, for no other reason than that all the post-production companies in Hengdian were queuing up for editing.
An important reason why short plays can become popular quickly in Hengdian is that the threshold is not high. Many industry insiders told 36Kr that short dramas evolved from the original information flow advertisements. These advertisements were originally intended to attract traffic to online articles. Most of them were 1-3 second videos. Later, the videos became longer and longer, and finally evolved into Skit.
For a short drama, the structure, scenes, and story can all stand up to scrutiny. The important thing is that it should be as visually stimulating as an information flow advertisement.
"We have a standardized rule for short drama creation, with seconds as the timing unit. In terms of story content, characters and scenes must appear within 2 seconds, and a result must be produced in 5 seconds. In terms of narrative rhythm, on average, one episode takes 3 seconds To reverse, there must be a new amount of information within 10 seconds." said Su Cheng, who is engaged in commercial customized short plays.
According to this logic, short dramas have little connection with traditional film and television, which also means that opportunities seem to have come to ordinary people.
A short play director who has been working with Aiyu Tengmang for a long time told 36 Krypton that one day when he was filming in Hengdian, he noticed that the director of the crew next door looked more and more familiar. After one last slap on the forehead, he finally remembered, "This is not the resignation we had before. That car manager?"
Before investing, Ma Chenggang watched a lot of short plays in private. "Have you seen "The Empress Comes to Work"?" This is his favorite short play. The heroine is a former empress. Within 2 minutes of the beginning, the whole family died, and he also died. Then he traveled quickly, As soon as I arrived in modern times, I found that I had become a rich wife, and smoothly moved between the mistress, mother-in-law and CEO husband.
Having been dealing with steel for half his life, Ma Chenggang has always felt that he has reached an age where he should think about culture. He firmly believes that the future business lies in mobile phones that are a few inches in size. He has been to Hollywood and visited Universal Studios in Japan and Hong Kong. Now, he believes that short plays are an opportunity, and he feels that he is quite familiar with the short play production routines. Soon, after spending 400,000, Ma Chenggang invested in himself ’s second short play.
The drama was filmed in Zhengzhou, and the producer respected him so much that he let Ma Chenggang select the script himself. He selected "The Real and Fake CEO's Wife Comes to Intern" from three thick books. The female videos, inspiration, and contrast in it were all elements he liked.
Before the filming started, he deliberately changed the heroine because a girl recommended herself on social media, hoping that she could be in his team. Ma Chenggang agreed because the girl "really looks sweet", with big eyes and a round face, which is pleasing to the eye. happiness.
This is the first time Ma Chenggang has felt the initiative in a completely unfamiliar industry. On the day when the Zhengzhou short play was launched, he was invited to speak on the spot as an investor. After taking the stage, he didn't know what to say, so he just said, "Thank you everyone for your hard work." He still remembered that the weather was nice that day, and the sun was so bright that it made people blind. Ma Chenggang stood in the center with a red envelope for power-on, and smiled very calmly in the group photo.
2. A dangerous game
For some true insiders, skits are like a whirlpool, beautiful at first, but with an undercurrent as you go inside.
Xi'an Fengxing Culture, which produced "Wushuang", was also one of the first companies in Xi'an to shoot mini-program dramas. The person in charge, Li Tao, told 36Kr that according to his observation, domestic mini-program short dramas have gone through three iterations. The first time is in mid-2022, when small program short dramas begin to align with the film and television industry, and a split-account model is introduced instead of the past production fee buyout. In other words, producers can get incentives from the box office. The second time was after March 2023. A round of supervision on short dramas had just ended, and a large number of people in the film and television industry began to enter mini program short dramas. The third time, in August of the same year, after "Wushuang" became popular, because of the myth of "100 million in eight days", people outside the industry began to really pay attention to the opportunity of short dramas.
But when film and television people started to get involved, they found that the gameplay of the game had already been locked. "Mini program dramas are different from ordinary video websites. They have no natural traffic and no user loyalty. Almost everyone consumes impulsively. The streaming company has the power to decide whether you can be seen or not." Short drama production Filmmaker Chen Wen said.
Before payment is realized, there will be three roles in the chain of a small program drama: the short drama company that owns the copyright, the distributor responsible for streaming and selling the drama, and the platform with large traffic. Among them, the relationship between the first two is quite deep, and powerful players will merge these two roles. Leading short drama companies such as Jiuzhou, Dianzhong, and Capacity are typical examples.
Whoever is closer to the money has the absolute right to speak. The only ones in this chain that are guaranteed to make money without losing money are the traffic-rich platforms like Douyin and Tencent. “For a short play, 90% of the box office revenue is spent on casting.” Li Tao, head of Fengxing Culture, told 36Kr. In other words, the short drama company and the investors will share the remaining 10%.
The investment is the most important and secretive part of determining this 10%. It directly determines whether the final income is tens of thousands or tens of millions.
For a casting company, what exactly determines the casting value of a short drama?
ROI, return on investment, is the most accurate and efficient data rule. Many industry insiders confirmed to 36Kr that deciding whether a company should continue to invest depends on ROI.
Wang Han, the founder of the short drama company, has been exposed to the streaming business before. According to his observation, streaming has high requirements for positive feedback. He first tests the water at a small cost, and then gradually increases investment based on the data. For an investment account, if the ROI is lower than 90%, it will enter the status of maintaining an account. It will be observed for a while. If the ROI is lower than 70%, then the account will be completely abandoned.
When the ROI is greater than 110%, that is, the box office of a short drama can bring at least a 10% return rate, the pitcher will continue to invest. "The greater the return, the greater the investment, the higher the return, and so on. As long as one of the ten dramas is a hit, the investment company can make high profits." Li Tao said.
This is a mobile hunt, just like wild beasts in the jungle that never directly hunt the prey in front of them. The three most common things they do are observation, calculation and dormancy.
"So if a short drama does not bring good returns to the streaming company within three days, or even the next day in some cases, the streaming company will not have the patience to continue paying traffic costs for you." Chen Wen said.
Once this happens, the short drama producers will be left with nothing to gain. He still remembered that a friend of his used to run a photographic equipment company. In the second half of 2023, he started making his own short dramas and invested hundreds of thousands. He was full of confidence at the beginning, but after a week of broadcasting, he finally received only 80 yuan in share.
During this week, the producer received only a simple excel sheet to find out how much the box office revenue of a mini program short drama was - it only briefly recorded the name of the short drama and a few box office figures. As for data input, sources and algorithms, everything is hidden.
"Asking is a core secret. We can't see the box office data at all." Chen Wen said.
Under the premise that the streaming company has control over traffic costs and data and has a huge say, the producer has become the one with the greatest risk. "We have to bear all the production costs in the early stage, and the income depends on the box office results. The results all depend on the streaming data." Chen Wen said.
He told 36Kr that from the end of 2022 to the present, he has participated in the production of 5 mini program short dramas and has lost millions of yuan so far. “I have stayed in so many post-processing rooms and talked with all the production companies. , this year we have lost all our money."
In the huge traffic pool, from delivery, capture to realization, the interests of each other are also nested layer by layer.
A small program short drama advertisement, from distribution to user end, only relies on a distribution company is not enough. Chen Wen mentioned that each streaming company has its own area of expertise, such as female videos, male videos, etc. In this case, short drama streaming will also evolve into layers of distribution.
"Generally speaking, a small program short drama will first be bound to a main investor. If the ROI decreases in the later period, the main investor will delegate the TV drama's qualifications to some secondary distributors, and then run it around the entire platform. , share it proportionately, and eat up all the final dividends from this show."
The main investment company has a firm grip on the copyright. As long as the drama is in hand, there is always the possibility of chicken and egg. Chen Wen observed that some streaming companies will ask for an extension of the authorization period as much as possible before casting a promising drama, "one year, five years or even forever."
It's just that the fate of a drama has been theoretically verified by the main investment company with data, and secondary distribution is just gaining a probability. "Betting on the birth of a hit drama at a higher cost for drama testing is just gambling," Chen Wen said.
A rather darkly humorous phenomenon is that no matter how intertwined the investment and profit chain is, once someone loses control, everyone in the chain can easily monetize the copyright. Yang Diandian, a mini-program short drama user, once purchased a 50-yuan short drama resource package online, which contained 10 paid short drama resources. Later, the seller told her that she was actually a pitcher. “In addition to streaming clips, , and also secretly sell resources to make extra money."
Like the flesh and blood of a whale, it fell straight to the bottom of the sea. The large carnivore shark takes the lead in enjoying the first meal, but in the process, 90% of the whale's body has been torn off. As the whale continues its descent, an opportunity arises for smaller predators. Up to the skeleton is the third meal of microorganisms.
This is a first-come, first-served banquet that emphasizes absolute strength.

I have in my drafts a half baked rant about how I view dan feng and yingxing’s relationship, not theory posting just my own view of them romantically, and I’m not sure if I should finish it or just leave it be and wait to make actual theory posts once more lore is out/more leaks are out
I did say I have like very specific feelings about them plus their future counterparts but I dunno if it makes sense to just word vomit what that view is. Again, wouldn’t be me blasting canon evidence or anything, I would basically be headcanons about them but

Amusingly, with his libido under control and his thirst quenched, Yingxing was even more efficient and productive than he was before, scaring the shit out of his fellow artisans as his already unbeatable talent seemed to double overnight.
The Preceptors hadn't been happy about this development because how could they spit on a genius like Yingxing without coming across as the bitter assholes they were desperately trying to appear not to be ?
Dan Feng sighed in relief as his clepsydra signaled the end of the time he had given himself until his break.
Setting down his brush, he took a moment to stretch his wrists before grabbing the replica box lying a little further away, smiling softly as he felt the walls vibrate faintly against his hand.
Today was his and Yingxing's first anniversary so Dan Feng had kindly implied their near murder to anyone trying to force him to work this particular evening. His “fuck you kindly customer service smile” as Yingxing called it had reached levels of industrial saccharine of such intensity that even Lady Xuepu, the most annoying of his Preceptors, had made a hasty retreat when she saw it directed towards her. He knew she would come back to piss him off a little before his scheduled departure time, like she did every time, but for now he was peacefully left alone.
Which turned out to be perfect for teasing his lover thoroughly throughout the day.

As for the direction of the plot,
Tumblr media
the protagonist's plot will be exposed, whether the protagonist's HE Tuber identity will be exposed, etc. are all relatively common hooks. It can also be emotional, such as if the supporting character has already taken action, will this slap hit the heroine's face? If the above routine has been used over and over again several times, you can also add new characters to show off the trick.
Sui Huan said that these methods of setting up suspense
have been tried and tested time and time again. After following two or three short dramas, the audience will discover these routines, and the plots involved in these hooks are often that the male and female protagonists are safe and sound and continue to cheat.
3. If you want to be more "explosive": There are skills in lines, editing, and drama titles.
Lines and editing are also two important parts of the hit short drama.
The lines in the short play must achieve two things: first, they must be qualified, and second, they must be concise.
Qualified refers to meeting the standards of the times and not being ahead of the times. For example, when official positions in the Qing Dynasty appeared in the Tang Dynasty, such low-level mistakes were not allowed.
Simplicity means "using the fewest words to make the character slap in the face." In short, the lines should be spoken plainly without adding any modifiers.
Wanzi was very uncomfortable at first.
"For example, the president of a listed company, who has received high-quality education at home and abroad, said in public, 'I really hate this woman.' I think this is very vulgar." But later, she found that the user was not care about the character’s identity.
This is also a problem often encountered by screenwriters who switch from online novels and long dramas to short dramas. The lines cannot escape the literary nature. "Don't be too literary, be concise and concise," in Li Yunming's words, "the characters use the simplest lines to attack each other and use the simplest means to slap each other in the face."
One producer gave two scripts he received as examples.
One platform production. The filming team uses a luxurious team for long-form dramas, but the screenwriter wants too many things. The first ten episodes have been piling up characters and the lines are very long. "While reading the script, we read the sixth episode. I'm all sleepy." As for the other one, the capital investment was not large, the script was short and concise, the lines were very concise, and the screenwriter knew the short play routines very well at first glance. In the end, the former was a misfire, and the latter exploded upon airing.
In short, from the plot to the lines, the short play must be "short" in every aspect.
Editing, as the last step in a finished film, is known in the short drama circle as a type of work that can turn decay into magic. Xi'an Fengxing Culture, one of the producers of the current hit short drama, is also famous for its editing skills.
