There is only one mission for this event, and all three objectives is to clear with no continue! It seems traits make a difference in this event, especially DA and -60% enemy defense.

I'd be super surprised if Genesis isn't brought in simply due to *Ever Crisis*. Since people are probably going to wonder 'hey, this other guy connected to Sephiroth should be alive during this time period, where is he?' Also, in light of Ever Crisis I feel like we got the question answered of 'can SE still use Genesis to begin with?' pretty clearly with a 'yes'.

Same. It’s too much good material to let go to waste. Not just for the connection to Sephiroth, either. The fact of the matter is they’ve already introduced Sephiroth and made him an ‘end game’ boss. That works once for nostalgia’s sake, but it’s going to get real old real fast to fight him as the final boss of every part of this Remake. You need another threat just to keep things fresh, especially since Zack is apparently alive and Genesis was Zack’s problem. Genesis is the golden here choice because a.) you can flesh him out more and do more with him now that you’re not limited to a PSP and b.) people are going to ask questions if he’s not there but Weiss is showing up given their association.

From a writing standpoint, the “okay literally everybody (even the people back from the dead) dogpile on and stop Sephiroth” route would get so fucking stale because we’ve already done that shit multiple times. You have to up the stakes if you’re truly trying to make this a sequel.

They’ve also been using Genesis as a boss/entity in FFRK and other spin off games for years — and freely use the artwork of him from Crisis Core. Gen also became a playable character in 2019 in FFRK [JP] (2020 Globally). So no. There’s no issue there at all. The whole “SE can’t use Genesis bc Gackt” argument was started by people who don’t like the character and were too stupid to know how copyright works or how to look up JP copyright laws. That’s all there is to that argument.

Edit: I’d also like point out that Gackt likely wouldn’t give a shit even if they got a new voice actor but didn’t change his face at all. Gackt has stated that he thinks Squall Leonhart was based off of him to the point of calling him “Gackt #2” when Nomura has insisted Squall is based off of River Phoenix. He’s never tried to claim copyright there, either, and I mean....

For anyone that still thinks just because of Gackt's copyright that Genesis won't return in FFVII Remake later title:

Just please, look at this artwork for Genesis release banner of FFRK. This thing comes out in JP server in 2019 and GL server in 2020.

This is not a screen cap from a cutscene in the game that features Genesis. You may think it's taken from the scene that Genesis fought Angeal and Sephiroth, but nope, this is a redraw. There is not a single frame in that cutscene that looks like this banner. And there is no other case of banner that is a redrawn frame like this in FFRK, only Genesis's release banner gets this privilege.

And yes, you are not seeing it wrong, this artwork makes Genesis looks more like Gackt than the artwork in Crisis Core.

This means Gackt has let Square Enix use his face to make change on Genesis' model.

Therefore there is no copyright bullshit thingy happening.

Genesis is coming back to FFVII Remake, Square Enix laid the path for him and Gackt agreed on that. Period.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper, in its bid to imply connections between Onion Knight and Luneth’s group, adds a new quirk:

Up to this point, The connections usually involve the remake quartet powering up Onion Knight (Or Desch and Aria summoning him). However, Ingus recently got a chain in JP FFRK that inverts the dynamic; Instead, he summons Onion Knight who blesses him with the Earth Crystal’s power.

Some interesting implications there...

I was literally crying out of happiness because finally, after 2 years, my Type-0 babies will make their appearance in FFRK!

First to join the fray are Ace (of course), Deuce and Nine! Their Soul Breaks was said to have their voices too. I’m just so happy.

Now all that’s left for me is to see if they will have their own realm (I really hope so!) or they might be included in the “Other” realm (please no :c) We will found out on their relics once the event is out.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Japan Current Progress Part 9

Here’s a list of my current progress in the Japanese version of the Final Fantasy Record Keeper (#ad) (FFRK) mobile game.

Before that, let me start by saying the reason why I started playing the Japanese version of FFRK. It’s the same reason why I’m also playing the English version. The answer is Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Currently, he’s my absolute, most favorite Final Fantasy character. He’s in Final Fantasy Record Keeper, so that’s why I’m also here.

Characters with Water Soul Breaks

My only dupe is Bartz’s Sync on banner 1. I considered pulling on these banners to shore up my water team since it’s severely lacking. My only water Sync is Bartz. My water AASBs are Paine for physical and Rydia (from Final Fantasy IV) for magical. I also have Tidus’s TASB and his physical Chain. My magic water Chains are Gogo’s and Strago Magus’s (from Final Fantasy VI). 

Got a few other water relics but nothing all that remarkable or of use like, AFAIK, I have Arc’s G+, but what use is that to me if I have nothing else for him? I may have Gogo’s and Strago’s Chains but I don’t have a single BDL relic for either of them and my magic water DPS is basically just Rydia with her AASB so what good does that do me? How could I form a magic water team with only these relics?

Physical water seems a bit more promising with Tidus, Bartz, and Paine but it doesn’t seem to be enough. For Bartz, I have a few of his Glints but I don’t even know if one of those is for his water tech (he has relics for lots of elements). Having his water Sync is nice and all, but SASBs can only be used once per battle, so what’s he gonna do once the effects of his Sync have run out? He’ll be useless if I don’t have other BDL relics for him or even just an Ultra Soul Break (USB) or 2.

To my surprise, I actually have quite a bit of Paine’s and Tidus’s relics. I was under the impression the only decent thing I have for Paine was her AASB while for Tidus it was his TASB and his Chain. Apparently though, I also have one of Paine’s USBs and her AOSB and possibly a few more that I can’t remember right now. Too bad I don’t have any other BDL relic for her though. 

For Tidus, I have one of his USBs, his Limit Break Overstrike (LBO) or Limit Break Over Flow (LBOF) and possibly a few more that I also can’t remember right now. Don’t have any of his Syncs or AASB though which sucks. 

So when these water banners dropped, I eyed them with interest, especially after hearing how good the featured relics were. Banner 1 has mostly newly released stuff while banner 2 contains rerun items but since I only really pull on banners with Final Fantasy VII chars (especially if they include my fave Genesis), there was the potential to get something good from both banners.  

Pull on Water Banners?

Was feeling reluctant about pulling though because:

The rates are so horrible here on Final Fantasy Record Keeper that I always dread pulling. More often than not, I end up with 1/11 that’s either a dupe or a relic that’s useless to me even if it might be new. I still remember that time I spent 500 mythril pulling for Cloud Strife’s (from Final Fantasy VII) TASB and Zack Fair’s (from Final Fantasy VII and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII) SASB and failed to get either.

All that mythril down the drain for nothing. It was such a horrible experience that I don’t think I’m ever gonna forget anytime soon. It was so freaking frustrating and depressing because there was no pity system for that banner unlike in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. 

In DFFOO, it’s fine even if I happen to get unlucky since at least I can pity the featured weapons. So it doesn’t feel like a waste even if I end up spending lots of gems. At least I can still get what I want.

I couldn’t do that for the Cloud and Zack banner though. Even if I kept on throwing mythril on that banner, there was no guarantee that their relics would ever drop.

These water banners have a sort-of pity system although I don’t know how to feel about that. On one hand, it’s great to finally have a pity system. On the other hand, this could have been implemented better. Behold the stamp sheet for these banners:

You get 1 stamp every time you pull on either one of the water banners. You then get the reward associated with that stamp. 

Selection A includes the AASBs on banner 2 as well as the G+ and LMRs. Selection B has the new stuff on banner 1 as well as the Syncs and TASB from banner 2.

In short, you need 500 mythril to pick an item from Selection A and you need 750 mythril to pick an item from Selection B. 500-750 mythril for 1-2 banners is way too much considering FFRK isn’t generous at all when it comes to giving pulling currency. You’d need to skip a lot of events and banners to be able to “pity” a banner or 2. And you can only pick 1 relic from each Selection. What if you miss out on a lot of relics? IIRC, the stamp sheet doesn’t reset.

In contrast to that, on DFFOO, it costs 75k gems to pity an Ex, 75k to pity an LD and 125k to pity a Burst. There’s no limit as to how many times you can pity. 75k and 125k might seem like way too much but it’s really not that bad when you take into consideration just how generous DFFOO is. Seriously, the game practically showers us players with tickets and gems. The rates are pretty good too. Yeah, I’ve had to pity a few times but I’ve also gotten lucky a number of times. It all balances out. 

And I never dread pulling on DFFOO. I might be miffed if I end up with a series of crappy draw results or if I have to pity a weapon, but it’s never for long, and I find that I can never really hate this game. Heck, all I need to do is remember how bad FFRK is when compared to DFFOO, and any rage I feel soon goes away. Besides, it usually doesn’t take long before I get something good on DFFOO after a bout of bad luck so it feels like it all evens out in the end.  

Also, did I mention how generous DFFOO is? We get lots of celebrations and campaigns that give us multiple first free multi-draws across several banners. They’re so generous that I can pull regularly and still have a stash of resources. Ah, if only FFRK was more like DFFOO. If only Genesis was in DFFOO. Seriously, Genesis in DFFOO when? Genesis being in FFRK and not in DFFOO is pretty much the only thing that Final Fantasy Record Keeper has going for it and why I still play it even though there’s lots of things I hate about it.

Ahem. Sorry, got distracted. Anyway, where was I? Right, was reluctant to pull on these water banners because of the trashy rates. Another thing that made me think twice about pulling was the fact that there wasn’t even a single char from FF7 on this banner. I prefer to pull on banners with FFVII chars, especially if said banner features my fave Genesis. 

That’s another thing too. Wouldn’t I be better off just saving my mythril in case a new banner featuring something new for my fave shows up? Genesis just got his TASB though so I was fairly sure he wasn’t gonna get anything new anytime soon although I certainly wouldn’t say no if the game decides to surprise me. I doubt it though. 

I mean, if we were talking about the likes of Cloud, I could definitely believe it. Heck, it just happened actually. On the same banner that featured Genesis’s TASB, Cloud got new relics. He got his third Sync and his third Awakening and a brand new Chain Soul Break. Who cares if there are still plenty of chars who don’t even have a single AASB or SASB, right? Just give all the new tech to Cloud and all the other super popular chars, right? LOL.

I get it. Cloud’s a protag and he’s popular so of course, he’s the one who often gets relics even if he doesn’t need them because his old ones are still really good. I like Cloud too. Heck, that’s why I tried to pull for his TASB, remember? Nevertheless, can’t help feeling rather miffed about him always getting new stuff anyway. Can’t help but wish that Genesis could get more relics too. Give him a new SASB or AASB, please. How ‘bout giving him one of those new Limit Break Guardian Summon Soul Breaks (LBGS)?

So I ended up going back and forth on whether to pull on the water banners or not. Couldn’t seem to make up my mind. I was like, I don’t need these chars. Yeah, my water tech sucks, but so what? Maybe I’ll get more via free pulls (at least this game gives a few free pulls sometimes although sometimes, it also only guarantees that you’ll get at least 1 5-star relic which sucks because all the good Soul Breaks are 6-star or higher) or whenever I pull on a banner with an FF7 char and which also features these other chars. 

Then I also thought about how I actually need good water tech if I wanted to take on 6-star fire Magicite Ifrit as well as water-weak Argent Odin (also known as White Odin). I need an Ifrit with 2 Empower Fire Passives and an Argent Odin with the Fire Seal to power up my fire team. There was no way I could do any of these fights without a decent water team though.

After thinking about it some more, I eventually decided to go for it. It took me so long to decide though that, by now, there were only like 2 days left before the water banners would go away. I almost wish I missed them. In retrospect, I do wish I had ended up being too late to pull on them. 

Water Banner 1 Multi-Draw Results 1

I started with banner 1. Was hoping to get Paine’s tech, particularly her SASB and TASB to go with her AASB. Then I could make her Hero Ability (HA) or Unique Ability (UA). Tidus’s AASB was also welcome to go with his TASB.

Bartz’s TASB was fine although I wouldn’t mind missing it. Too bad his AASB wasn’t here. Hoping I don’t end up duping his Sync. Aria’s SASB seems nice but I don’t have anything else for her and I don’t think she’s gonna be all that useful with only her Sync so I’d rather get other relics than this. 

Leila’s water Chain buffs physical attack and it’s better than Tidus’s so I’d love to get it. Then she can be my physical water Chain holder. With her Sync, she can join in the DPS after casting her Chain. Have nothing for Serah but being able to get both her AASB and SASB would automatically make her my primary magical water DPS.

Okay, so I basically want everything on this banner except the dupe Bartz Sync. Could do without the bottom half too. Like I said though, the rates here are so trashy that it seems impossible to get some, much less all my wants on this banner.

Currently, I have 456 mythril on hand. My first draw gave me 1 disco orb. Welp, looks like we’re already off to a bad start. This is gonna be dupe Bartz Sync, isn’t it? Or maybe Dr. Mog won’t even show up and I’ll just end up with one of the G+. 

Thankfully, Dr. Mog showed up, turning the 6-star item into a 7-star one. He actually gave me something new. Just got Paine’s TASB. Nice. 

Getting just 1 item sucks though. Wish I could have gotten more. It really feels bad to see just 1 6-star after spending 50 mythril, especially since acquiring that 50 mythril didn’t come easy at all. 

And if I didn’t already have a few of Paine’s relics, including her AASB, this would have been a really lousy draw. I mean, I have Tidus’s TASB and no other BDL relic for him, so he’s not exactly usable. So, yeah, this draw could have been a lot better. Then again, it could have been worse as well so I guess this wasn’t as bad as it could have been. 

Water Banner 1 Multi-Draw Results 2

You know, my plan was to only do 1 pull on this banner and possibly 1 as well on banner 2. After that, I was supposed to just walk away and ignore these banners already. But how could I walk away with just Paine’s TASB? At least give me her Sync too, right? 

I shouldn’t have done it. I really shouldn’t have done it. But I ended up doing it anyway. Yeah, that’s right. Just did another multi-draw on banner 1. I regret this. I really do. 

Because once again only 1 disco orb showed up. WTF is up with this? Seriously? 1/11 again? Why? Ugh. How frustrating. Even more so since Dr. Mog didn’t even have the decency to show up. 

Was afraid I’d end up with one of the Glints here. Thankfully, I got one of the Awakenings instead. Tidus’s AASB2 showed up. Hell, yes! Finally, I have something to go with his TASB. The 1/11 still feels bad though.

Water Banner 2 Multi-Draw Results 1

Since I just got Tidus’s new AASB, I was like, let’s try for his Sync on banner 2. His SASB2, which was the one that’s featured on banner 2 was said to be one of the best Syncs in the game. His AASB2, which was the one that I just got, was said to be much better than his AASB1.

Good Sync or not though, I was interested in acquiring it either way so I could have another BDL relic for Tidus. Then I’d have no qualms making his HA. See, I want to have at least 2 BDL relics for a char before I make their HA. And I’m not counting a TASB for that because it’s basically just an improved version of an Arcane Overstrike Soul Break (AOSB) right down to costing 3 bars to cast the finisher (unless you max hone them, in which case they’ll only cost 2). So I’d want either 2 AASBs or 1 SASB and 1 AASB for a char before making their HA.

And so that’s how I found myself on the water banner 2 even though I should be long done with this pulling session by now. I pull and get yet another 1/11. WTF? This is the third time already. Is this some kind of joke? Argh! So freaking annoying. What’s with all the 1/11, damn it?

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Dr. Mog didn’t even appear. But wait, there’s more. Because this draw wasn’t horrid enough, of course I didn’t even get an Awakening. Nah, instead all I got was Gogo’s LMR+. Eff this game.

Water Banner 2 Multi-Draw Results 2

I was angry and disappointed and frustrated and - man, I just freaking hate this game. Why? Why? Why? Argh! In my rage, I decided to do another draw on this banner. Yeah, I’m writing this post after the end of this disastrous ordeal and I regret everything and wish these banners had disappeared before I made up my mind to pull for them. Still filled with such rage. This is like the worst freaking game ever. Sigh.

Anyway, guess what I got on this draw. If you say 1/11 again, then you’d be right because eff this game. Of-freaking-course it was 1/11 again. This is like the normal thing now, isn’t it? I hate all my pulls on these banners. Eff all these 1/11. Could I just get out of here already, please? I want to quit this goddess-forsaken game but Genesis. Someone add him to DFFOO already, please. 

Oh, hey, look, Dr. Mog just showed up. Small mercy, that. I think this game really just wants me to hate it though or something. 

Why? Because I just got Meia’s TASB. Did I mention that I have nothing else for her? How in the world am I supposed to use her with just this? TASBs can only be used once. The initial 15 seconds of BDL costs 0 gauges but the finisher costs 3. And then that’s it. What’s Meia supposed to do after using her TASB? 

Argh! This is so freaking frustrating. Why did this have to happen? Why couldn’t this have been Tidus’s Sync instead? Heck, I’d even take Meia’s Sync or AASB. At least those 2 have effects other than just the BDL. 

Water Banner 1 Multi-Draw Results 3

So I went back to the water banner 1 even though the right thing to do was to just walk away. Should have done that a few pulls ago. I guess I kept hoping that things would get better, that I’d stop getting 1/11. But that’s all I kept getting and it didn’t seem like that was gonna change anytime soon.

Was only 1 draw away from getting the 3 Daily Draw Tickets from the Stamp Sheet though so I thought I might as well go for it. In retrospect, I still regret everything. 

This draw actually gave me 3 disco orbs. Was surprised, to say the least. It felt like forever since I’d seen more than 1 disco orb. Then Dr. Mog appeared and turned one of them into a 7-star item.

And I get to the draw results screen and see that quantity doesn’t always equal quality. Was hoping for Paine’s Sync so of course that didn’t show up at all.    

Instead I got Serah’s AASB, Bartz’s TASB and Aria’s G+. Well at least Bartz now has another BDL relic. Now if I can just get his water AASB. Serah can go join my very few water mages. Ah, if only her Sync had shown up instead of Bartz’s TASB. That would have been really helpful in shoring up my water magic team.

Have nothing else for Aria so her G+ is basically useless. Would have been better off with her Sync. Also, it looks like I forgot to take a screenshot of the draw results screen for this pull. Must have been too disappointed. Still, it was really nice to see 3/11. Here’s to hoping I can see more. Just don’t want any more 1/11.

Daily Draw Tickets

That last pull just gave me 3 Daily Draw Tickets via the Stamp Sheet. These tickets are used on the Daily Draw banner. 

These tickets are a 10-draw but it looks like you aren’t guaranteed to get anything, or maybe you’re only guaranteed at least 1 5-star. Not sure. Either way, was pretty disappointed with the results of these pulls.

The only seemingly good thing I got was an Awakening from a char in Final Fantasy IV. I think it’s Fusoya. Still too pissed by how horrid all these draws are that I can’t even be bothered to look up what Fusoya’s AASB does though. Pretty sure I have nothing else for him anyway. At least I remembered to take screenshots. Here they are:

I’m down to 217 mythril now. So much for only doing 1 or 2 pulls on these banners, huh? I really should be done by now. Haven’t I been disappointed enough already? Yet here I am, about to do another multi-draw. Argh! 

Couldn’t seem to help myself. I kept thinking how the relics that I just got weren’t completely enough to really shore up my water team. Just look at Meia and Serah. All I have is Meia’s TASB and Serah’s AASB. Need more BDL relics for them, especially Meia. And I’d really like to have either Tidus’s Sync or Paine’s Sync, preferably both. 

So against my better judgment, I did another pull, this time on banner 2, hoping for something good. It wasn’t meant to be. Eff this game. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating - I really freaking regret everything. Curse these goddess-forsaken banners and these game and its trashy rates.

Once again, got 1/11. Dr. Mog didn’t show up and the game couldn’t even give me something new. Nah, to add insult to injury, I got Gogo’s LMR+. Again. Ugh. Yeah, I freaking hate this game. Why is this happening?

So I went back to banner 1 instead of just stopping. Yeah, I don’t know what I was thinking back then anymore. I think I was just so angry about how horrible all these pulls were. I just wanted to get something good. Which was apparently the game’s cue to give me another dupe. It was Tidus’s AASB this time. Eff this game.

By now, I’m 7 draws deep across both banners. It feels too late to stop. It’d be even more of a waste if I stop now. So I kept going. Back to banner 2 this time. Seeing the 1/11 disco orb didn’t even surprise me anymore. Was expecting it. Still disappointed anyway. 

Dr. Mog showed up, which was nice, but even this could turn out to be bad. Might just end up with another dupe.

Allowed myself to be cautiously hopeful when the “Congratulations” screen showed up and it wasn’t immediately followed by a rank up screen. At least I’m getting something new. The question is if this could be of use to me.

The good news is that yes, I was able to get something of use. Tidus’s SASB2 just came home. Hell, yes! Now I can finally make his Hero Ability. And he just became my primary physical water DPS.

Was relieved to get something good but, argh! Again with the 1/11. Why is it always like that? Sigh.

I’m 2 pulls away from the Selection A pick from the Stamp Sheet so I decided I might as well go for broke. It really was too late to stop now.

This draw gave me yet another 1/11. This time I got Paine’s G+. At least it’s new. But why couldn’t this be her Sync instead?

I’m definitely broke now though. Started out with 456 mythril. After multiple disastrous pulls, I’m now down to 18 mythril with only a few good relics to show for the loss. Don’t even have enough anymore to do another multi-draw. 

Have to grind some quests to get more mythril for my last multi-draw. Just need one more pull to get the Selection A pick. Would have preferred the relics from Selection B but there was no way I could get to that now. The banners are ending. AFAIK, I’ve less than 24 hours to scrounge up enough mythril to get to 50. Getting more than that seems impossible since I simply don’t have enough time. 

Don’t think it’s worth it either. Honestly, I don’t think this entire pulling session was worth it. I regret ever looking at either of these banners. Wish I could go back. Should never have pulled even once.

After what felt like forever, finally have the 50 mythril I needed for my last pull. As usual, got 1/11 because eff this game. You’d think Dr. Mog showing up could make up for that but nah. 

Looks like he appeared just to give me a dupe because eff this game. Clearly, I needed another copy of Bartz’s TASB. Did I mention that I hate this game?

Looking at it like this, it’s really easy to see just how bad all these pulls were. They were all 1/11 except for the lone 3/11. What were the odds of that happening? Even ended up with 3 dupes. How utterly disappointing, depressing, frustrating, infuriating - eh, you get the point. Sigh. Eff this game.  

Selection A Pick

10 pulls equals 500 mythril = Stamp Sheet 1 complete.

Now I can pick a relic from Selection A. Too bad this doesn’t include any of the Syncs. The best relics from the list are the Awakenings. 

Decided to get Meia’s AASB to go with her TASB. Maybe someday I can get her SASB too as well as her other relics.

In conclusion, eff this game and these banners. Fest is coming soon and I’m at 0 mythril. Looks like I’ve no choice but to skip it. At the moment, don’t really feel like doing anything on this game anyway. Just feel so disappointed and frustrated. It’s maddening. Unless Genesis gets a new relic during fest, not gonna bother. Doubt that’d happen anyway. He just got his TASB, after all. So I guess I have nothing to worry about. Still furious though.

Final Fantasy Tactics / Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (PS1/PSP)

Ahhh, the game that ages like fine wine <3 I love the story line, the characters and their development, the battle system (although confusing for a 7-year old), the everything!

I first played this game when I was 7. English isn’t my first language, I was having a hard time understanding a few dialogues and skills description. It was my cousin who helped me get through, she’s 4 years older than me. She doesn’t live in or near our house so she gave me a dictionary instead that translate a few English words to my native tongue to help me when she goes back to her hometown.

I remember getting stuck in Dorter and Wiegraf one-on-one for months. Being this is my first tactical RPG, I don’t know how to level up properly. That also includes the JP farming. When my cousin went on vacation in our house, that when she told me how.

What I loved in FFT the most is probably how “human” the characters are. We have Ramza Beoulve, a young man from a noble house of Beoulve. He’s raised with a status, behind high safe wall of Eagros Castle and was quite naive with how the world outside the wall function until their encounter with Milleuda that made him question if he’s doing the right thing or not. Over the course of the game, you will see him grow mature and wise but still keeping friends and family over other things. Then we have Delita Heiral, the commoner adopted in the House of Beoulve, Ramza’s trusted friend. He’s the person succumb to revenge on what happened to his only remaining biological family, his sister Tietra. He swore to never be a victim and be manipulated again. He also don’t want anyone else to become a “Tietra”. He wants to make Ivalice a fair and peaceful kingdom to both the nobles and the commoners. But when he reached the near of his goal, his want for revenge changed into want for power. And just how inevitable it is, wanting for power leads to corruption. He did never become a victim nor being manipulated but he’s the one doing it. Bonus: The day Ramza and Delita let go of their youthful thinking. This scene is also one of the strongest scene in FF series. Delita is set to what he wants if all else fails.

Another one, and probably the most human of them all, is Wiegraf Folles. A Knight succumbed by revenge and hatred towards the Order. He is the leader of Corpse Brigade, a group of commoner soldiers who helped during the Fifty Years War but weren’t paid. Now they are a group of soldiers, on par with the Northern and Southern Order of the Sky, who are against them. Despite them hating the Order, Wiegraf never resort of thievery and violence, as he wants Ivalice to be a peaceful kingdom too, until Gustav defied this and kidnapped Marquis Elmdore for ransom. All Wiegraf wants was for the group to be paid and recognized as one of the soldiers who saved Ivalice. The kidnapping that lead to Corpse Brigade’s demise but also his sister, Milleuda. Grieving for his sister’s death, blaming his self for not being able to save her and lacking the power to take revenge for her death, he took the only opportunity that stepped in his life. Taking the stone of Aries. His encounter once again with Ramza lead him to being wounded and near death. Losing all the hope for his vengeance, he took another opportunity that opened up, that is to be the host for the Lucavi Demon of Aries, Belias.

The War of the Lion, or the PSP remake of this gem, even made the game greater for me. Not only they added in game cutscenes and voice acting, but they also added my favorite character in the entire Final Fantasy series, The Leading Man ♥ (and yeah, he’s no thief, he’s my husband a sky pirate)

And just a year ago, FFRK released their very first FFT event. Of course, I cried again after hearing the OSTs playing. I also love the tiny detail DeNA added to that event. The dialogue between Ramza and Algus in Ziekden, the spell or skill incantations that was missing in the WotL, the battle background, the sprites, the everything! And with more upcoming FFT events, the details are getting more beautiful and more pleasing to the eyes of FFT fans. Here are a few detail that really pleased my soul:

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Japan Final Fantasy VII End of Month Event

Just heard the news that in the Japanese version of the Final Fantasy Record Keeper (#ad) (FFRK) mobile game, the End of Month (EoM) Event will be for Final Fantasy VII. Supposedly, the banner for this event will feature the following FF7 characters and new relics for them:

Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - True Arcane Soul Break (TASB) (known as Arcane Dyad Soul Break (ADSB) in the English version of the game)

Barret Wallace - TASB and Synchro Arcane Soul Break (SASB)

Cloud Strife - Chain Soul Break+ (CSB+), SASB3, and Awakened Arcane Soul Break 3 (AASB3)

Vincent Valentine from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII - SASB2 and AASB2

When I saw Genesis's name as part of the list and that he was set to get a TASB, one of the latest kinds of Soul Break in the game, I got really hyped and excited. Couldn't wait for the event to happen. It feels like it’s been forever since he got new relics here on FFRK.

Currently, Genesis is my most favorite Final Fantasy char. He’s the reason why I’m playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper. On my English account, I was able to get all of his currently available relics, but here on my Japanese account, I’m missing 2 (his Arcane Overstrike Soul Break (AOSB) and Legend Materia Relic (LMR)) that I hope to be able to get soon. It’s just that those relics haven’t shown up in a banner again. But the moment it’s possible to do so, I’ll definitely try to acquire them.

Actually, the stream where the FFVII End of Month event was announced also mentioned that the The Record Lab will finally be updated with new relics. They’ll be adding AASBs, CSBs, and AOSBs to the Lab and you can use Anima Lenses to get these. 

I really hope that Genesis is one of the chars whose relics will be added here. Up to now, none of his relics can be  obtained via the Lab. He doesn’t even show up there. Now, I hope the update will include his relics, and hopefully I have enough to be able to buy them so I can finally complete him.

Before the Final Fantasy VII End of Month event, which will happen on the 30th of April 2021, there will also be another event that will happen on the 23rd of April 2021. The banner for this event features the following charas and their relics:

Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII - TASB2, SASB2, and AASB3 

Bartz Klauser from Final Fantasy V - TASB4 and SASB4

Matoya from Final Fantasy I - TASB and SASB

Master from Final Fantasy I - SASB

Sephiroth’s dark Sync and Genesis’s fire Sync are also set to return together on a banner on May 3, 2021. And, assuming the stream was still talking about this banner (it was all in Japanese so I couldn’t really understand all of it. Thankfully, there were people who translated the really important information), it sounds like relics for Angeal Hewley (from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII) and Zack Fair (from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII) will also be featured here. Most likely, these will all be old relics, which is too bad.

I mean, on this account, I’m missing a lot of Zack’s and Angeal’s relics, but unless there’s something new on this banner for Genesis (already have his Sync. Also already have Seph’s Sync), I can’t really justify pulling here. Obviously, all my mythril will go to the banner with his TASB. 

If I manage to get that early and still have some mythril to spare, then I could try my luck on other banners. But, well, considering the trashy rates on this game and the fact that it doesn’t even have a pity system, I can only hope that I won’t be walking away from the FFVII EoM banner with 0 resources and no Genesis TASB to show for it.

Thoughts About the Final Fantasy VII End of Month Event News

Okay, really, truly, I was so freaking hyped when I heard that Genesis was gonna get a new relic. I’m gonna pull for it, no questions asked. I’m ready to grind the remaining Realm Dungeons and Record Dungeons and whatever other quests I haven’t done on this game just to have enough mythril to hopefully acquire Gensis’s TASB. I really, really hope he comes home and that he does it early, preferably before I run out of resources.

However, I can’t deny feeling rather disappointed after thinking about the FFVII EoM event some more and finding out more details about it and the Labyrinth Dungeon event that was gonna feature Sephiroth’s relics. Previously, the translation I saw only listed the chars and the relics they were gonna get minus the numbers so I was under the impression that Cloud and Sephi were just gonna get reruns of their old relics again. Then I found out they were actually gonna get new stuff. 

I mean, it’s not like that’s such a bad thing or anything. It’s just that - look, the EoM event was supposedly about Cloud but the one featured on the banner is Genesis and Barret, presumably because they were the ones getting a True Arcane Soul Break. I can’t help but wish that either the banner just didn’t bother to include Genesis or that the event was about him.

It hurts to say this, but he feels like nothing more than an afterthought on this banner. Everyone else gets more than one relic but he only gets one. They could have removed him from this banner, and I don’t think it would have made a difference. Heck, since they’re giving Cloud new relics anyway and the event is apparently all about him, they might as well have just given him a new TASB while they were at it then featured him on the banner alongside Barret.

It just feels bad that he’s only getting one new relic but then you have chars like Cloud and Sephiroth who are getting their nth relic. Feels really unfair. I know they’re super popular. And heck, I actually like Cloud (my thoughts about Seph is a bit more complicated so let’s not get into that now. Let’s just say that there are times wherein I don’t mind him, but there are also times wherein I hate him with the fury of a thousand burning suns), but this game is making me hate him. It’s maddening!

You know, I wish this game would do a Crisis Core banner. Feature the SOLDIER Firsts and give them more than one new relic. Give Genesis a second Sync and Awakening. I’m hoping that it’ll turn out that he’ll actually get more than just his TASB on the FF7 EoM banner, but that’s looking highly unlikely. Sigh. Sometimes, this game can be so freaking infuriating.

Honestly, Cloud and Sephiroth are already OP enough as it is with their old relics. But of course they’ll just keep getting more anyway even though there are plenty of other chars who don’t even have a Sync yet or who only have 1.

I suppose I should just be glad that at least my fave Genesis already has a Sync and Awakening and now he’s about to get a TASB. There are plenty who haven’t been as lucky as him. And I guess it’s not just Cloud and Sephi anyway. I mean, look at Bartz. He’s apparently getting his 4th TASB and Sync.

I was really quite miffed about Genesis probably most likely only getting a new TASB on the FFVII EoM banner, but after looking at other chars who have it worse than him, I’m just glad that at least he hasn’t been forgotten. I can only hope that he’ll eventually get new relics and that he’ll get to show up in more events and banners. 

Besides, FFRK JP actually deigned to include Genesis on this banner even though they didn’t really have to. That has to mean something, right? I mean, if they were looking for an FFVII fire char to add to this banner, they could have gone with Elena.

Still hoping for an actual and good Crisis Core Banner though, not to mention a Crisis Core-themed event. Make it happen, please. And feature the SOLDIER Firsts. I want to use them in a team together, but that’s not happening on this account anytime soon ‘cause I don’t have anything for Angeal here other than his Ultra Soul Break (USB). Ah, well. At least I can run the trio together on my English account.

The only thing I have on this banner is Tidus’s TASB so I was thinking of pulling, mostly for Cloud’s TASB and Zack’s Sync. Having Barret’s AASB2 in my English account, I wouldn’t mind being able to get it as well. Also, I heard the other relics are are all pretty good.

I was kinda unsure about pulling though. I mean, I want to, but I was worried that I’d end up with nothing again. The very first time that Zack’s Sync and Cloud’s TASB were featured on a banner, I went to pull for them. Ended up spending 500 mythril. Guess how many copies of Zack’s Sync and Cloud’s TASB I got. A grand total of zero. Yeah, neither had the decency to show up. All those resources lost for nothing but dupes and more dupes. Disappointing and frustrating doesn’t begin to cover it. Remembering that incident still pisses me off. 

So I’ve been debating with myself on whether to try pulling for Zack and Cloud again or not. I was like, you’d probably fail again so why bother? Just save instead of wasting your resources. Or, pull and watch you get literally the only dupe you have on this banner. On the other hand, maybe I’ll get lucky. Who knows?

Just when I decided that I’d at least try a pull or 2, the banner had disappeared. Welp, I took so long to decide on what to do that the banner had ended already and the Spring Festival was winding down. I felt - well, on one hand, yay for being able to save my resources instead of wasting them and failing to get the relics I wanted. But on the other hand, maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad if I’d gotten to try drawing. Besides, it felt like forever since I last pulled on this game since none of the banners that have shown up previously had really interested me. 

However, now that I’ve heard the news about Genesis’s upcoming TASB, I don’t regret missing out on the Spring Fest’s Banner 5 anymore. Now I’m so freaking glad I didn’t get to pull on that banner. If I’d pulled, it was highly likely I wouldn’t be able to stop at just 1 or 2 if I end up getting such lousy results. The possibility of rage pulling and using up all of my mythril was very high so I’m really happy I was able to avoid that. 

Now all that mythril I’d been able to save could be used to go all in for Genesis’s TASB. You know, I can’t help but wonder if this was somehow meant to be, like if this was fate or something. I mean, I had no way of knowing that Genesis would be getting a new relic soon which was exactly why I was all set to pull on the Spring Fest Banner 5. The fact that I ended up skipping that banner - well, maybe that means something? I certainly hope it means I’ll be able to get Genesis’s new Soul Break. 

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Japan 6th Anniversary Festival Revival

The stream also mentioned that the 5 banners that showed up during the game’s 6th Anniversary will return on the 29th of April 2021. The first pull for all of these banner will be half price. And there will be a Relic Draw Stamp Sheet shared by all of these banners. You can get various rewards if you fill out the Stamp Sheet, including being able to pick a Sync from a select list.

The third banner from this fest was the one that featured Cloud’s TASB and Zack’s Sync for the first time. This was the banner where I ended up throwing away 500 mythril and walking away with nothing. Well, okay, it wasn’t entirely nothing. I got a few new things from that banner as well as a whole lot of dupes. Also 500 mythril allowed me to fill out the Stamp Sheet so I was able to get a new Sync. 

Still hate the entire incident though. It wasn’t how I’d wanted things to go. Heck, didn’t even get to pull on the other banners. All 500 of my mythril went on banner 3. Now the fact that the first pulls of all of these banners will be at half price (a.k.a 25 mythril instead of the usual 50) is tempting me to pull, especially since it means being able to get a “free” Sync via the Stamp Sheet at a much lower cost. Not sure I’ll go for it though. It’ll all depend on how my pulls for Genesis’s TASB will go. I’ll think about all of these other banners once I get his new relic. After all, that’s really what’s most important.

Speculations About the Final Fantasy VII End of Month Event

These past few days, I found myself thinking more and more about the upcoming Final Fantasy VII End of Month event. Yeah, really excited and can’t wait for Genesis’s TASB.

Anyway, the event is apparently about Cloud. The event image features him, Zack, and Angeal, and yet the event banner features Genesis and Barret, so like, what’s up with that, right? LOL. Well, Cloud’s relics does show up on the event banner, and it looks like Zack’s and Angeal’s will show up on the second banner for this event. 

What about Barret and Genesis though? Will they show up in the event too? I certainly hope so. I always want to see more of Genesis. However, it does seem like Barret and Genesis were the chars featured on the event banner simply because they’re the ones getting a TASB.

Another thing to take note of are the chars that are featured on this banner. Genesis, Barret, and Vincent are all fire element. Cloud is the odd one out since his elements are wind and dark. He’s getting new relics though so could it be that he’s about to add a third element to his repertoire? Perhaps he’s gonna be following in Sephi’s footsteps since Seph got fire relics on the Labyrinth banner. 

Besides, he already followed Sephiroth when it comes to the dark element. Cloud’s main element was wind until he got dark-type relics. Seph’s main element was dark until he got fire-type relics. 

Sephiroth’s New Soul Breaks

Speaking of Sephiroth’s new relics, the banner where you can pull for them is now up. Just checked out their animations and I found myself rather disappointed with them. I was hoping to see either Angeal and/or Genesis as part of the animations. Too bad that wasn’t the case at all. 

The Record Lab Update

The The Record Lab has finally been updated. Lots of new relics have been added, including Awakenings, Chains, and AOSBs. More importantly, at least for me, some of Genesis’s relics have finally been added to the Lab. Hell, yes! To be more precise, the following relics that belong to him have been added:

Glint Soul Break (G), Epic of Destruction

Glint+ Soul Break 1 (G+1), Epic of Creation

Ultra Soul Break (USB), Apocalypse Genesis

Arcane Overstrike Soul Break (AOSB), SOLDIER's Epic

Legend Materia Relic (LMR), Fierce Opposition

Which means that I can finally get the relics that I’m missing for him. Hell, yes! So freaking happy about this. I don’t care how much they cost. I’ll get them anyway. Thankfully, they’re not that expensive, and I actually have more than enough to be able to buy his AOSB and LMR with my Anima Lenses.

However, while I’d love nothing more than to get his LMR and AOSB now, I’ve decided to wait for a bit. As part of the celebrations for Golden Week, we’re getting tickets that lets us do a multi-draw for free. You’re only guaranteed to get at least 1 5-star, and the relics list is way too bloated and the rates too trashy to expect much, but, hey, you never know, right? Maybe Genesis’s LMR and/or AOSB will drop. Besides, what’s the rush? His relics won’t be going anywhere. I can get them whenever I want. Right now, it’s more than enough to know that.

Also, aside from being pleased to see Genesis added to the The Record Lab, I’m also happy about the addition of some of the Awakenings and Chains. It’ll take a while before I can get any one of these, but it’s good to know that I’ll eventually be able to because I have a few chars whose Syncs I have but I’m missing their Awakenings. Chains are always useful to help boost your damage, so they’re always welcome.

Too bad I don’t really have anything for Vincent on this account. I think I only have his LBOF and one of his Ultras. I wish my Global or English account was the one that had this Glint+ because my Vincent is more complete there, having his Sync and Awakening. 

Also, so much for Cloud becoming a fire DPS. His new relics are all wind and dark. Vincent is still firmly fire while Barret is mostly fire. His AASB deals fire, wind and non-elemental damage but he still gets Awoken Fire Mode.

This banner comes with a Stamp Sheet. Get rewards as you fill out the Stamp Sheet. You get a Stamp each time you pull on the FF7 banner. Here’s a list of the rewards:

Selection A has some old relics that belong to some of the Final Fantasy VII chars. This includes Genesis’s Awakening and 2 of his Glint+. 

Selection B has a few Syncs that belong to some of the Final Fantasy VII chars. This includes Genesis’s Sync as well as Sephiroth’s, Angeal’s, and Zack’s. This is also where you can get his TASB and Barret’s in case you fail to get either even after 15 pulls. The other new relics featured on this banner can also be selected from here. 

It costs 50 mythril to do a single multi-draw. Multiply that by 15 and you get 750. So you need at least 750 mythril in order to guarantee 1 relic from this banner. Ouch. So expensive. But it’s better than spending that much and still failing to get what you want and having no other way of getting it. For Genesis, I’ll readily make use of this so-called pity system. It’s better than nothing.  

Genesis Rhapsodos True Arcane Soul Break, LOVELESS

On the Japanese version of Final Fantasy Record Keeper, there’s a feature that lets you check out each relic that shows up on a banner. So of course the first thing I did was take a look at the animation for Genesis’s True Arcane Soul Break. 

It’s freaking brilliant! Super special awesome! Also, it’s voiced and he quotes from LOVELESS, and - yeah, I love it. I just love this. Want to keep using it. Too bad TASB costs 3 bars unless you max hone it in which case it will only cost 2. Anyway, here are some screenshots:

Okay, it’s time to pull. Hopefully, Genesis’s TASB comes home early. Worst case scenario is I have to spend 750 mythril just to get it. Thankfully, I have enough mythril to do that since I hardly pull or do much here. Just been saving for whenever Genesis gets new relics. Sometimes, I’d try pulling for an FF7 char like that time I spend 500 mythril for Cloud’s TASB and Zack’s Sync and got neither.

If I’m remembering correctly, the last time I pulled was on a fest banner that featured Sephiroth’s TASB. This was the next fest after the one that had Cloud’s and Zack’s relics so I was dreading a repeat of the aforementioned fiasco. I worried I’d end up spending an exorbitant amount of mythril for nothing but disappointment again. I was thinking of doing just one pull but I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to stop once I got started.

Eventually, I decided to go for it. To my complete and utter surprise, that first draw gave me Sephiroth’s TASB. I think Bartz’s water Sync tagged along as well. So, yeah, it was a pretty good pull, especially ‘cause I already have Seph’s dark Sync and dark Awakening plus a few of his other dark relics. I was actually tempted to pull a bit more on this banner as well as the other fest banners so I could go for the Sync select on the Stamp Sheet again. But I managed to talk myself out of doing so. I wanted to end that fest on a high note.

Anyway, I currently have 914 mythril. So let’s do this. Welp, looks like we’re off to a bad start. Only one disco orb showed up for my first multi-draw. But maybe Dr. Mog will show up and - 

Yeah, no. LOL. Of course, he didn’t show up. Instead I got Vincent’s new Awakening. At least it’s new. Still, I wish I could have gotten a Sync or better yet my fave Genesis’s TASB.

Okay, let’s keep going. Ooh, are things looking up? 3 disco orbs just showed up. Heck, yeah! Now if only Dr. Mog - 

OMFG! He actually showed up too. Dr. Mog just showed up and turned one of the disco orbs into a 7-star item. That item soon revealed itself to be a sword. This looks like Genesis’s Red Rapier+. It is, isn’t it? Tell me it is, please.

I get to the draw results screen and - hell, yes! It is Genesis’s Red Rapier+. Just got his True Arcane Soul Break, LOVELESS! Yes, yes, yes! So freaking pleased about this. Seriously, no words can describe what I’m feeling right now.

I’m just so freaking happy. I didn’t think it’d show up this soon. I mean, I wanted it to, obviously, but what were the odds of that happening, right? Hell, I was worried that I’d have pity it, that I’d pull and pull and never see it. That was what happened with Cloud’s TASB and Zack’s Sync and, unlike this banner, there was no way to outright pity those relics so there was nothing I could do.

Aside from Genesis’s TASB, I also got a dupe of Vincent’s Glint+ and Barret’s Awakening. 

Keep Pulling on the Final Fantasy VII End of Month Event Banner?

Now that I have Genesis’s TASB, I’m kind of at a loss as to what to do now. I mean, should I keep pulling on the FF7 banner in the hopes of snagging the other relics there, or should I turn my attention to the 6th Anniversary Festival banners?

I only have a few relics on this account, so I do need to pull if I want to be able to clear more content. For what seems like forever, I’ve been stuck at the 5-star Magicites since I hardly ever bothered to pull here aside from the free multi-draws we sometimes get. So I have a few scattered relics that belong to various chars. 

I’m eying the 6th Anniv fest banners because the first draw for each of those is at half price. Maybe I’ll do those first before going back to the FF7 banner. I certainly wouldn’t say no to a dupe of Genesis’s TASB although I would want other relics to show up with it.  

Final Fantasy Record Keeper 6th Anniversary Festival Banner 5 Multi-Draw Results

So I decided to go for it. The first pull was only 25 mythril and I barely have any dupes on these banners. On the 6th Anniv Fest banner 5, my only dupe is Minfilia Warde’s (from Final Fantasy XIV) USB, which surprised me because I have no idea where and when I even got this. It was probably from one of the free draws. Anyway, I started pulling on this banner first just because.

3 disco orbs showed up! Was hoping for Dr. Mog to make an appearance then he actually did! Hell, yes! Got a dupe of Minfilia’s USB, Rydia’s (from Final Fantasy IV) AASB2, and Shantotto’s (from Final Fantasy XI) Sync.

The dupe USB is meh, especially since I have nothing else for Minfilia. Rydia’s AASB2 is welcome although I don’t think I have much of anything for her either. Still, an AASB is an AASB and they’re always nice to have. The same could be said for Syncs.

Honestly, I’m not that fond of Shantotto, and if I was gonna get a Sync on this banner, I would have preferred to get anyone but her. But a Sync’s a Sync so still thankful that I ended up with one. Besides, apparently I have Shantotto’s Awakening so, yeah, looks like this game really wants me to use her. LOL. Have her lightning Chain Soul Break too and her USB.   

Hmm, with those and Rydia’s AASB2 plus support from Cait Sith’s (from FInal Fantasy VII) AASB and a healer, I might be able to field a magical lightning team. At the very least, I might be able to take down my second Dark Odin so I could get another Black-Armored Echoes (gives major resistance to all elements) accessory which would allow me to clear out my inventory a bit. 

Final Fantasy Record Keeper 6th Anniversary Festival Banner 1 Multi-Draw Results

My only dupe on this banner is Balthier’s (Ffamran mied Bunansa from Final Fantasy XII) fire Chain Soul Break. My first draw gave me 2 disco orbs, one of which was transformed into a 7-star relic by Dr. Mog. Ended up with 2 new relics - Bartz’s Glint+4 and Balthier’s Sync. 

I have Bartz’s Sync but it’s for the water element. His Glint+4 is for the fire element. AFAIK, I don’t have any of his fire relics so this G+4 is useless for now.

Balthier is my preferred fire Chain holder for physical DPS because his Chain also buffs the party’s attack. He even has a Burst Soul Break (BSB) that can imperil fire. Wasn’t able to get his Awakening. His Sync looks pretty good though since it can also imperil fire.

Don’t have a single dupe on this banner. Unfortunately, that doesn’t necessarily mean my pull would give me something good. I suppose I was bound to get a crappy draw sooner or later. Only 1 disco orb showed up and there was no Dr. Mog to make up for that fact. 

All I got was Strago Magus’s (from Final Fantasy VI) Glint+ Soul Break. Well, I do have his water Chain, but still. Was hoping to get more decent water tech so I can start building a water team.

My only dupe here is Arc’s (from Final Fantasy III) Glint+. Which of course meant that that’s exactly what I got when I did my half-priced multi-draw here. Didn’t even get anything else. Was so disappointed that I didn’t even bother to take a screenshot. Eff this banner.

My dupes here are Tidus’s (from Final Fantasy X) TASB, Queen’s (from Final Fantasy Type-0) Sync, Agrias Oaks’s (from Final Fantasy Tactis) Sync, Zack Fair’s AASB2, Zack’s G+, Hope Estheim’s (from Final Fantasy XIII) G+, and Hope’s LMR+.

Unsurprisingly, I have a million dupes here because this was where I threw away 500 mythril way back when this banner first showed up. Instead of the Cloud TASB and Zack Sync I’d been hoping to get, I ended up with a bunch of dupes, mostly from the bottom half of the banner. 

Will my first pull here now be any different, or will it bring me nothing but disappointment yet again? I dread getting more dupes and useless relics. But okay, let’s just get this over with already. 

3 disco orbs showed up, which seemed promising but I tried not to be too hopeful. Then Dr. Mog actually appeared and turned not one, but 2 orbs into 7-star relics. OMFG! That’s brilliant. Could it be? Am I about to get - 

A dupe. Yeah, that’s right. I got a dupe. Not just one dupe or 2 dupes, but 3 dupes. Another copy of Zack’s G+ and 2 copies of Agrias’s Sync. Agrias’s Sync didn’t even rank up anymore because I already got it to its max rank of 5 thanks to my previous pulls on this banner. In short, eff this banner and eff this game. Ugh, seriously, I think this banner is cursed. Can we just get out of here already? So freaking disappointing.

I found myself going back to the Final Fantasy VII End of Month event banner. Maybe I’ll have better luck here. At least I hope so. I’d really like Vincent’s Sync to go with his Awakening. It can imperil fire so he has a place on my physical fire team. 

Barret’s Sync and even his TASB wouldn’t be unwelcome either. He’d certainly make it to my FF7 Torment, Dreambreaker and possibly even Dragonking team. I’d like to add him to my physical fire team too but I’m not sure I can manage that since he’s more of a support than another DPS. I’m not sure who I’ll be removing to add him in. But, well, it’s pointless to think about this now since I don’t have either of the aforementioned relics yet. Hopefully, I can snag them. Cloud’s stuff could be of use too.

Anyway, so my third draw gave me 1 disco orb. Sigh. Watch this be a dupe of Vincent’s G+. Again. Wait, ooh, Dr. Mog just appeared. Yes! Looks like I got something new. I’m pretty sure this belongs to Barret. Let’s see.

Yeah, it’s his. Unfortunately, it’s also kinda useless. Just got his Limit Break Over Flow (LBOF). There’s no way I’m choosing to cast this over Genesis’s LBOF. I mean, I’d use it if I had extra gauges, but I’d always prioritize Genesis’s, especially ‘cause his has been honed to the max and usually deals max damage.

1/11 again. At this point, I suppose I shouldn’t even be bothered to be surprised. Eff this game. Seriously, sometimes, FFRK can be so freaking frustrating. Why are the rates so trashy? Could I please get something good, please?

Well, at least it’s not a dupe. Don’t know how good this is though. It’s Cloud’s new AASB. Don’t really have much for him at the moment other than a few of his lensable relics so, yeah, unless I get his Sync and more of his stuff, I don’t see myself using him with just this. Or I could try bringing him to the Dreambreaker or Torment maybe.

Argh! 1/11. Again. Why, why, why? Eff this game! At least Dr. Mog showed up.

He gave me Cloud’s new Chain Soul Break. It’s new and it seems fine enough, I guess, but come on, please, give me a Sync. And stop with the 1/11, please.

On a side note though, I’ve seen the animation for this relic, and it’s pretty good. It features Cloud, Zack, and Angeal. Angeal gives the Buster Sword to Zack then Zack hands it over to Cloud. I guess this is why the FF7 End of Month event title translates to the The Buster Sword’s Legacy.

Ugh, I’m getting flashbacks to the time I spent 500 mythril for nothing. Not a good feeling at all. Damn this game. Why does this have to happen? Sigh. My 6th multi-draw on this banner gave me yet another dupe of Vincent’s Glint+. Argh! Eff this game. Was so pissed off that I forgot to take a screenshot.

1/11 dupe Barret AASB. Eff this game. This is the absolute worst. What’s with all the 1/11? Ugh, if Genesis wasn’t here, I wouldn’t be here right now. This game needs better rates.

1/11 - OMFG! So freaking pissed off. This is utterly infuriating. Why is it always 1/11? I hate pulling on this game. This is not fun at all. My mythril is slowly going down but I’ve been nothing but a pile of disappointment for the last few pulls. 

Maybe I should have stopped after getting Genesis’s TASB. That way, I could have ended Golden Week on a happy note instead of being so - angry? Pissed? Infuriated? Annoyed? Disappointed? Miserable? Depressed? All of the above?

Oh, look Dr. Mog showed up. At least I don’t have to worry about getting dupe Vincent G+ again. Could still end up with a dupe though like another copy of Barret’s LBOF. Meh. If I’m getting a dupe, could you just give me Genesis’s TASB again? I wouldn’t mind seeing it again, especially if the alternative is a dupe of Barret’s LBOF or Cloud’s Chain.

Well, no rank up screen showed up so this is undoubtedly new. It’s also a gun. This is Vincent’s Sync, right? I’m pretty sure he’s the only gun user on this banner. Please tell me this is his Sync. 

I get to the draw results screen and - hell, yes! It is Vincent’s Sync. Finally. A Sync. 

And that’s it. I’m freaking out of here. I can’t take this anymore. My mythril keeps going down, and it just feels like a waste to keep going. I don’t care anymore. This will have to do. Vincent can be my secondary DPS with his Sync and Awakening and he can help Balthier imperil fire for Genesis.  

Conclusion

Which means that, yeah, I don’t care about filling out the rest of the Stamp Sheet anymore. I need 2 more pulls to be able to pick a relic from Selection A but I just checked, and it looks like the only things I’m missing from there are Angeal’s second Awakening, his Glint+ and Sephiroth’s Glint+. 

I wouldn’t mind getting any of those, especially Angeal’s AASB2 because this one features Genesis in the animation, but I’m just really so frustrated already. It’s so disheartening to spend 50 mythril and get 1/11 which often turns out to be a dupe. 

And it’ll take me way more mythril if I want to be able to pick a relic from Selection B. Not sure it’s worth it. I mean, if I was still missing Genesis’s TASB, then hell yes, it’s definitely worth it. As it is though, maybe I’m better off saving my resources. Will just have to make do with what I already have. I should just wait until Genesis gets a new Soul Break although since he just got one now, it’s likely gonna be quite a while before he gets featured on a banner again.

Anyway, to be honest, I’m still kinda frustrated and infuriated with all the 1/11 and usually crappy draw results, but I think I can at least end this Golden Week event on a happy note. I mean, on the bright side, I was able to get my fave Genesis’s True Arcane Sol Break and, really, that’s the most important. That’s what really matters. He came home, and that really makes everything better. 

Even managed to snag Balthier’s Sync. He’s my physical fire Chain holder, so  now he can also help deal damage when he’s not casting his CSB. Plus this Sync can imperil fire, which is definitely a good thing.

Missed out on Cloud’s new Sync and TASB and Barret’s Sync and TASB, but it’s okay. It’s fine. At least I was able to get Vincent’s new Sync and Awakening. He was who I would have wanted to get if I had to choose anyway, other than Genesis’s TASB, of course. Because Vincent can imperil fire so he can help boost Genesis’s damage. He can act as my secondary DPS too.

Besides, on my English account, I was able to do the Final Fantasy VII Dreambreaker fight without Cloud and with only Barret’s AASB2 and his USB. The rest of the team was Genesis, Aerith, Sephiroth, and Angeal for my initial clear. Then I also tried with Vincent instead of Angeal. 

I should be able to manage a similar clear on my Japanese account, especially with the addition of Genesis’s and Sephiroth’s TASB. Also, Vincent’s new Sync imperils all elements the more FF7 chars you have in the party, which means he can imperil dark for Sephi too.

And I’m not that fond of Shantotto but even her Sync isn’t unwelcome since at least I already have her AASB and, at the very least, she could help me clear some lightning-weak content. But I’d definitely prefer to never see Agrias’s Sync ever again though. LOL.
