Fic update!

So I know I've been MIA and making you wait to much between updates, real work is killing me ><

After the update of golden phoenix I decided to take a break of writing something new and re edited Not a kid , (mostly I added more details and dialogue directly from the avenger's movie)

I'll start working with How to be a hero on my next weekend, so I thank you for your patience ><

I can't promise to update Golden phoenix any time soon, but I'll try to not to take another 6 months _ _||| and probably will expand the Yiling Wei into a proper fic next year

For my fics in hiatus like Flames of hope, or The young and (a little bit) broken series I'll keep to try working on them, since I really dont want to abandon then entirely, and I'll probably continue the Marvel saga next year with the Winter Soldier if you guys are into it

In the meantime I'll try to upload more stories, oneshots that I have in a folder and that so I hope you'll enjoy them

I'm glad you like htbah!! I think that one tends to be the one people like the most (myself included). I'm actually rewriting it rn and fixing it up to give it some extra love and I'm always pleased when people tell me its their favorite

Ohhhhh thank you! So I have been terrible at finishing anything this year, but I'll do favourite five books so far, and at a later date I try to put together a fic rec list because some of them deserve so much more love!

How to be a Heroine - Samantha Ellis

Okay, so technically I'm actually reading Take Courage by the same author atm, but I read HtbaH a few years back and found it life changing honestly! The author goes back over her childhood heroines and reevaluate them and how they shaped her. Not only did it inspire me to try some new stories (Anne Shirley my beloved!) but also inspired me to revisit some of my own childhood heroes.

From a certain point of view - Empire Strikes Back - various authors

I love Star Wars. I love short stories. I love wild takes. I'm only at the beginning but I liked the previous one - it's fun and it supports my hot, gay young Tarkin so no complaints.

Superman Smashes The Klan - Gene Luen, Girihuri

Okay, so this is a reread but I want to talk about it. So this is a YA comic based on the 1940s Superman radio show, and this is one of my favourite eras of Superman. This is the 'Superman went off to fight the Nazis in Europe then came home to fight Nazis in America' era and I adore it. I might do a separate post about the sheer ballsiness of this era. But anyway - good story, good characterization of Clark and Supes, good exploration of the immigrant experience, cute artwork and just a good read.

Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

Okay so technically I haven't started reading it yet, but it is my mission this summer to read it. My friend made me promise on Jane Austen's grave that I would, and after talking to @clone-bar-79s about it, I'm very excited to start!

Lonely Planet Guide to Australia

I'm going to Australia soon. I'm very excited.

Hello! I first came to you from wattpad and i was in love with htbah! But i saw that u answered an ask here where you said you considered htbah as "dark past" what did you mean by that? I hope i won't offend you by asking and you could ignore this ask if you don't feel like answering. Also, I only read for bts fics(my ult) but the first time I've ever read a fic from a different group was from yours! I really like your works and i'll be looking forward to your writing! - lovely anon

it's not offensive, don't worry <3 what i meant by 'dark past' was that htbah...actually....wasn't that good. now i know there are literally millions of people who will contest that point but as an author i feel like i've grown so much since i wrote that book, you know? and even if i still have a long way to go—although i did rewrite it like thrice in an attempt to salvage it, i can still never look at it with as much pride as i used to.

but then it's helped educate a lot of people so there are still some things to be proud of i guess, but just not writing-wise. i'm so honored to see i was the person who got to introduce you to the other groups, i hope they lived up to your expectations! thank you so much for supporting me through thick and thin :')
