my gender + orientation when combined with my taste in media is so funny. yeah i’m queer genderfluid n i also consider myself a nb sapphic. yeah i do experience attraction to men but it’s rare so i don’t really consider myself a gay dude? i’d also be surprised if a gay guy were into me on the basis of gender. while my gender is almost never strictly male or female i tend to lean a bit more fem i guess??? so i like sapphic :)

I know I've made like.. this exact post like four other times but it's gunna keep coming back up until I Figure It Out so.. I have been on and off thinking about the actually solid Idea I had for remaking FaHI as an Original text (along side or after FaHI Proper is written) And I think where I've ended up with it is pretty good! It captures a lot of the same themes and the bones of the thing and I like it! And Yet........ I don't think it is possible to 1 to 1 translate FaHI, it will always Loose Things, very very important things that will always make it a Completely Different Story. The same heart around the same ideas, in the broadest sense, but as soon as you take it out of exactly Where and What It Is it becomes something completely different.. Like you can't hit Any of the same story beats in the same way.. The structure of the environment is different so the way everyone interacts changes and thus shifts every important interpersonal moment.. the situation with the mold and the magic changes and changes the characters themselves in inherent ways that change how they interact with the world and each other but I have to change these things else it will be Very Obvious What This Was.. not a revolutionary concept by any means but I'm not entirely sure what to do with it.... FaHI; the fanwork is a story I Very much love and want to share as the fanwork that it is but there's a lot about FaHI that I love and Wish dearly I could share in a professional or personal context and I simply can't as much because of it's limitations as a fanwork... and I want to split the difference but ooo it always feels like I'm loosing so much.. GRAH!!

Okay so I feel like I can trust you not to judge me (and I have the power of anon) but I just had a baby boy (and I'm over the moon about him). His sperm donor is a fucking creep (unfortunately I didn't find out until after I was pregnant and we broke up) and... Is it weird to sometimes pretend Ignis was his dad... I just want him to have a good dad... (he has the same hair and eye color as Ignis too 🥺)

Two, congrats on your beautiful baby boy! I’m actually really glad that both of y’all don’t have the father in y’all lives because listen… a bad father figure is worse than an absent one. If thinking of Ignis gets you through some of the rough spots and helps bolster you, then I don’t see a problem with it. I used FFXV to help ease the pain of losing my mom. Another person I know used Ignis as a way to help heal from losing her father as well. People may hate on it or think it’s silly, but whatever. You have to do what’s best for you and your son, and if mentally conjuring up the image of Ignis makes it easier, I won’t be one to tell you to stop!

… also, we all know Ignis would be the BEST dad. He spent all his formative years running after Noct, you know he’d just step right in and wear the baby on his back while making homemade baby food… 🥺
