Synopsis: Dash Nailo and his twin sister have a secret. They’re half Frost Dragon, and in the post Dragon War world that could get them killed. But one day out of the blue an old friend that they had thought dead turns up and brings news. The forges that were used by Dizerdrat in the Dragon War are relighting for the first time in a decade and a half. As the peace they had worked so hard to achieve is blow apart by the reappearance of an old enemy; Dash and his friends are thrust back into the deadly frontier of Halmire and a world that they had hoped to leave behind 16 years ago.

Next thing you’ll say is that Dash has magic.” I coughed awkwardly. “Uh, actually I do.” I admitted as I snapped my fingers and a small orb of shadows floated above my open palm. “Well shit. You two definitely owe me that story.”

Terms you should know:

Demonsblood: The common name for a race of humanoids descended from fiends. Often bearing signs of fiendish origin such as horns, tails, fangs, and unnatural skin colors.

Giantsblood: A race of humanoids descended from Giants. 7+ feet tall. Grayish skin, good weapons craftspersons.

Half-Celestials; Angelsblood: Humanoids directly descended from Celestials. On some occasions can manifest wings. Sometimes born with wings.

Dragons: Large, scaly, winged lizard-like beasts. Two subspecies; Frost & Fire. Frost Dragons can breath frost/ice/cold and have Silver, Blue, White, or Steel (Rare) colored scales. Fire Dragons have Red, Gold, or Black colored scales and breath fire. There is a third, extremely rare type of dragon with sapphire scales and no known breath weapon.

Vetinari being a cane user is ever so significant to me. He was an already beloved character I could feel seen in when I became physically disabled, he helped me to make the decision to get a cane in the first place, he helps me feel more confident and accepting of myself...

And of course, both him and Drumknott, my equally favourite character, have autistic characteristics. And that is also so, so important to me. It was one, though only one, of the reasons the duo became my favourites.

WTF Going Postal (2010) removed Vetinari's canonical disability to show the main villain murder a man with a cane.

I'm pissed. It's so unique to see a beloved character being a cane user like me and they not only took that away, they replaced it with that fucking murder scene.
