I watched The Whale 2022

The Requiem for a Dream is the first Afronsky film I watched.

I was really impressed with his film making style to say the least.

there is a similarity in The Requiem For a Dream, Black Swan and The whale, the characterss have an obsession/addiction as the fatal flaw.

It was really an overwhelming performance by Brandan Fraser as Charlie. He deserves all the praise and hopefully an Oscar!

I knew the second I saw Max(Sadie Sink) in Stranger Things that she is gonna be a great actor

The Whale is gonna be a breakthrough in her acting career..

I don't know why people are not okay with his character and are unnecessarily relating to fatphobic. In my opinion attributing such things to a movie or novel will only spoil the experience.

It defies the very idea of a film, So to the people that are not okay with his character, just chill out!

To conclude The Whale is a beautiful film in its own right

if you have not watched the whale and lookin for a recommendation

this is the right time!

FIRST UP, The Village (2004) dir. by M. Night Shyamalan. What are your opinions on this (very) controversially hated/loved film? Personally, although it had flaws, it’s just unexplainably magnetizing to me, I’ve watched it three times in two weeks, and the original score is bone chilling. I’ve been listening to it non-stop.
