the night was still young, and the fun was just about to begin. from raging parties to slow makeout sessions in the back of clyde’s van, there was never a dull moment when you were with him.
tonight’s activity wasn’t anything special, but it held much potential for moving to the next level in your relationship. he was sprawled across the couch with you lying face down on top of him. he tangled complicated swirls into your hair and he used his other hand to draw mindless patterns onto your soft skin with his fingertips.
your eyes momentarily flickered to the movie that was playing on the television, your mind travelling to something that has strangely never occurred in you and his agenda. you had been through it all together: through the best and worst times of your life, he had always been there. you two had a palpable connection that took years to build and would only grow stronger. but you couldn’t shake the thought that you and him weren’t fully united.
he had never touched you. and it was mutual. the most heated you’d ever gotten with him was lying down on top of him as his boner pressed into your stomach, and even then, he insisted that you could have the bed to yourself for the night, not wanting to make you uncomfortable with the awkward occurrence of his erection.
but that had been your plan all along. you wanted to lead him on so that you could finally take that deeper step into your relationship. but as usual, he found a convenient way to turn you down. the first few times he avoided getting intimate with you, you paid no mind to it. but as the years passed, you got the impression that it wasn’t as much of a coincidence as you thought.
you snapped back into reality as he gently caressed your hips, his heavy-lidded eyes shutting as exhaustion spread through his body. your heart warmed at the sight, but the raging question still burned in your mind. you had pushed it back for as long as you could remember, but there was no better time than now.
you shook him a little. once, then twice before tickling him a little. you whispered gently in his ear. “clyde, wake up…” your lips just barely brushed against his ear lobe making his eyes spring open. his gaze met your bug, dolly eyes looking right back at him, causing a smile to tug at his lips. he pulls you into a tender kiss, holding it for a few seconds before speaking.
“what’s up, doll..?” god. his voice alone was enough to send blood rushing down to your sensitive bud. you cleared your throat slightly, deciding how to approach this. you could either ease him into the topic, slowly undressing yourself until he took charge, or you could just rip the bandaid off and get straight to it. considering all your past failed attempts, you decided to go with the latter.
you caressed his cheek with your thumb, his cold skin warming up with your touch. his breathing was barely audible over yours, the tension becoming stronger by the second. he wrapped an arm around your back, pulling you into him even more before slowly connecting his lips with yours once again, drinking you in as your hearts raced in unison.
short gasps slipped from his lips as you caressed his jawline. the movie droned on in the background but you had managed to get him to tune that out. his hands ran up and down your back as your hand slowly slipped down to his throbbing manhood. as soon as he caught onto what you were getting at, he pulled away from the kiss, his once pale skin now flushed brick-red.
he laughed nervously, putting some distance between the two of you. he looked at you, struggling to get his words out as his mind rushed. “w-we almost forgot about this movie, huh?” his eyes bounced around the room, displaying clear discomfort. you frown, beginning to see the bigger picture.
he notices your change in mood. he pats you on the head, smiling sheepishly before turning his attention back to the screen. with a frustrated sigh, you grabbed the remote out of his grip, turning off the tv. he looks at you with confusion painted all over his face. “baby..?” you toss the remote to the side, sitting up and pulling him with you.
you take a deep breath. it was now or never, and at this point you were just dying to know the answer to your question. “why won’t you have sex with me..?” as soon as you spoke, you cursed yourself for being so forward. your cheeks burned as you caught a glimpse of his flushed expression.
he chokes on his words, unable to give you any sort of response. this only fills your heart with even more dread. “am i the problem, clyde? is it me?” that dumb, stunned expression remains on his face. your patience snaps like a thread. “answer me! is it because im to-” your negative words are cut off but yet another embrace, his lips locking with yours with more passion than ever.
he holds this kiss for a long time, allowing your tongues to mesh together and explore each other more than ever before. his hands travel up your shirt, lifting it up and disconnecting your lips for just a second to pull it over your head. he takes a moment to stare at your body for a moment. you sat bare in front of him, your nipples hardening from the cool air.
his hands were wrapped around your waist as he took in your body for the first time. this was the closest to nude that he’d ever seen you. “s-so perfect…” his gaze travelled down your figure, stopping at your black panties. he went to go pull down the fabric, but you stopped him, placing a hand on his heart. “you haven't answered my question…”
he too a deep shaky breath, realizing that the truth would come out eventually. “ive been pushing back on doing it with you b-because… im a virgin…” his voice got quiet at the end, but suddenly you understood. you placed your hands in his hair, running your fingers through his brown locks as he continued to speak.
“dont get me wrong. ive thought about it, like a lot. like whenever we kiss or sleep together or you sit on my lap or-” he begins to ramble, getting turned on just by the thought of you in this state. his eyes meet your breasts once more before they move up to your eyes. he sighs deeply, speaking more solemnly this time. “y-your perfect, and i just don’t wanna mess up or hurt you or anything, y’know?” you scoot onto his lap a little more, feeling his hard-on pressing right against your wet, clothed pussy.
his ears started to tingle as his body begged for you. he made eye contact with you, exchanging a thousand words that didn’t even need to be said. he started pulling up his shirt, tossing it to where yours was before wrapping his arms around you. after a few moments, he finally says the words you’ve been dying to hear. “im ready for you, baby…”
in a flash, your wet panties along with his baggy sweatpants were discarded, leaving both on your bare as you hungrily embraced eachother. your mouths reconnected, the kisses becoming sloppier as each second passed. you lifted your hips, getting a light grip on his painful erection. he hisses sharply at the feeling of your hand wrapped around his cock, but he just watches, allowing you to take the lead.
you use his tip to tease the entrance of your dripping cunt, slurred moans slipping from your parted lips. clyde places his gentle hands onto your hips, helping you sink down onto his length. he fills you up pretty easily, but you gasp at the feeling of his length in your hole. he gets a stab of worry.
“are you ok? does this hurt?” you can sense the worry in his voice, but you start rocking your hips against him slowly. he takes your hands in his for support as the overwhelming feeling turns to one of pleasure. he exhales deeply, allowing his body to submit to the sensation. he watched as you slowly rode him, his precum making the perfect lube.
clyde quickly gets into the feeling, getting a better sense of what he’s doing. he slips a hand to your throbbing clit, starting to rub slow circles onto it. louder moans emerge from your throat, giving the signal that he’s doing the right thing. “t-this is ok..?” he still sounds unsure, but when you nod shakily, he speeds up his motions, hearing the wet sounds your sweet little pussy makes.
time begins to go elastic as you quicken up your pace, the sounds of breathless moans and skin slapping filling the room. clyde’s mouth is on one of your tits, swirling his tongue around your hard nipple as he uses his hand to work on the other one. your tight cunt squeezes against his length, causing his occasional groans to become more frequent.
your eyes travelled down his toned, muscular body, making you wonder why you hadn’t down this sooner. his dilated pupils swallowed his baby blue irises, making him look much more vulnerable than you’d ever seen him. the moment comes when he feels that bundle of heat forming in the depths of his gut, signalling his first orgasm.
the sensation is completely unfamiliar to him, and his body gets overwhelmed with the feeling once more, but before he can get a word out, he’s shooting his ropes of cum into your core. you throw your head back, riding him at a rapid pace and making both your bodies jump, your tits bouncing right in front of his face.
you milk him completely dry, not stopping until you sense his overstimulation. you pull yourself off of him, letting his cum drip out of your hole and back onto his girth. you collapsed on top of him, panting as you recollected yourself from being filled up so much. if he hadn’t told you that this was his first time, you never would’ve guessed.
clyde gently caresses your cheek, looking at you as the realization finally sinks in. you had taken his virginity. you allowed him to take that major step into manhood. silence filled the room as you closed your eyes, listening to the rapid beating of his heart. the silence was broken by a question that you never would’ve expected. “so… round 2?”

"sometimes I feel like i've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride, I never really noticed that I had to decide to play someone's game, or live my own life -- and now I do. I wanna move out of the black, into the blue,"
— "Get Free", Lana Del Rey
Suguru Geto was so cool to you. He just exudes an air of captivating mystery, a quality that draws you in. You found a reflection of yourself in him — the curious, introspective soul that found joy in dissecting and analyzing literature and movies for the sheer pleasure of finding a deeper meaning in art. This was a stark contrast to the persona you currently inhabited. Ever since you got everything you thought you wanted by joining the sorority, there’s this “hot girl” facade you’ve been keeping up. You had to, at least you tell yourself that. Being Vice President of the sorority, the hair and nail appointments every couple weeks, the packed schedule every single week, consumed by obligations at work, for the sorority, date functions, or mixers with fraternities — it was everything you thought you wanted.
The past two years had been hard in an unconventional way. You were suddenly best friends with over 60 girls, learning about what it meant to be a ‘sister’, navigating your academic life, new found social life, & trying to not fail miserably.
Meeting Suguru in Spanish class two years ago may have actually been around the time things started to get overwhelming. The sight of him walking into the bustling lecture hall remains etched in your memory. His raven black hair gracefully framed his cheekbones, a striking contrast to his fatigued expression. He calmly looked around the room for a potential seat when his gaze suddenly met yours, his velvety dark eyes sending what felt like a jolt of electricity through you. Immediately, you looked away, intimidated by such abrupt intimacy. As the moment drifted away, you couldn’t help but steal more glances, mesmerized by the effortless allure of his hair half-tied, and admiring the contrast between his hair and the crisp white of his band tee. Your hungry eyes lingered on the sight of his strong, lightly tanned forearm, the muscles flexing as he set his bag on the ground in front of his feet.
A small smirk played on your lips as the facts informed the fiction, aligning your romanticized narrative with reality — you liked him. You wanted him… right? It seemed like a recurring pattern, a new infatuation added to your roster each semester, you were starting to hate how your mind went to those places when looking at complete strangers. He settled into his seat a few rows ahead, to your right. The rest of the hour-long class went by as your attention wavered from the professor's lecture to the constant pings of the pledge class' group chat on your laptop, all while thoughts of this enigmatic boy swirled through your mind. What was it about him? Obviously, his looks played a role — he was undeniably attractive! But there was an unspoken allure about him that resonated with you. Something remarkably genuine.
He was attractive, but not like the frat boys you had started to learn — those confident, almost arrogantly charming boys supported by the rowdy group of self identified brothers. Suguru stood apart in that way, his demeanor stoic, shrouded in enigma. You, on the other hand, were no different than those frat boys. Donning your Greek letters, surrounded by sisters at parties or on campus, you exuded a confidence that was empowering. But when you’re all alone, face to face with a cute guy, maintaining prolonged eye contact feels like you’re in over your head.
A twinge of disappointment grew inside you as the realization set in; you haven’t changed. You hadn’t felt the profound shift you had envisioned when justifying your sorority membership to friends back home. College was supposed to be a fresh start, a chance to compensate for feeling like a loser in high school. Encountering someone like Suguru served to remind your of your discomfort within your own skin, in your clothes. Despite this, you pressed on, going through the motions because you thought that was what would make you happy. You thought it was what you wanted.
That concern quickly snowballed into a full-fledged personal identity crisis, intensifying by the time you were twenty-one. Everyone your age experienced that overwhelming anxiety about the trajectory life seemed to be going in, right? You were pretty aware that these insecurities stemmed from your less than wonderful experiences in grade school. The desire to be accepted, to belong, felt deceptively straightforward but in reality, it was complex. Seeking validation through association of status started to overshadow authentic connections, a realization that took two years to hit. Stepping down from the exhaustive responsibilities of the exec board of your sorority, a position that took way too much time and stress, you now craved a final semester dedicated to your genuine pleasure. No more putting on a facade, no more living for appearances.
So, when you trudged through the cold, grey January air to your senior seminar to find three or four other students, you immediately slipped into your unnatural facade, feigning interest in your phone screen instead of others around you that actually held your interest. So much for not living up to appearances, you thought silently to yourself when he walked in.
Suguru Geto. The name alone sent a jolt through you, so seeing him walk into the room sent a surge of excitement swiftly followed by a pang of panic. Today, he looked impeccable. His hair effortlessly framing his features, a brown flannel that accentuated out the deep hues in his eyes, paired with a white crewneck & off-white khakis. Simple, but something about it brought on a flush of warmth over your body. As he moved closer to your side of the classroom, the facade threatened to crumble. Buried in your phone, pretending to text your roommate, Utahime, just trying to avoid the prospect of awkward eye contact or embarrass yourself by speaking to him.
Your attention is lifted from the screen when the desk in front of you starts to shift. Suguru stood before you, unfastening his backpack, meeting your gaze. You silently hoped your flushed cheeks weren’t betraying your emotions as you offered the boy a friendly grin. After all, the two of you knew each other. A soft smile grew on his lips before he turned away, settling into his seat before class.
Yeah, you think to yourself, recalling that you and Suguru had crossed paths before, that it wasn't a fantasy you made up. Last Spring you took that boring poetry theory class together. That professor was super strict & everyone in the class realized it at the same time when he revealed the daunting project: reconstructing a Wikipedia page for an ancient poem. You got a B for the midterm, Suguru got a D and was shocked to see your grade so much higher than his. “Everyone got a super low score,” you remember him rationalizing, a touch of defeat in his tone. There was nothing you could really say back to him thanks to the slight intimidation that comes from talking to someone so effortlessly cool. Handsome, even.
“Yeah, I’m not entirely sure how I managed that score either. I didn’t really know what I was doing.” You admitted, not intending to mislead, but also recognizing you had no actual insight to give.
“I’m gonna call Shoko and see what she got. See ya later,” he waved before strolling over to the bike rack, phone already at his ear with Shoko on the dial. You tentatively wave back, feeling a peculiar sensation settling in your stomach. You noticed Shoko and Suguru in class together, but they’re dynamic never struck you as particularly flirtatious. They were definitely close though. It was funny for you to think back to the immense crush you had on him the spring semester one year before, only for fall semester to roll by — out of sight, out of mind. And then, there you were a year later.
The digital clock on the wall hit 9:30 right as the professor entered, exchanging morning greetings before setting up the projector. The first class of your last semester is starting now, causing a subtle flutter in your stomach. It was surreal that just four years ago you got lost in this exact building during orientation week. You had experienced a myriad of changes within yourself since starting university. Why did you feel such shame about it? Because it’s not you, you quietly reasoned to yourself. As Suguru adjusted in his seat in front of you, his hair and big shoulders encroaching on your desk space, the subtle whiff of his black-cherry scented cologne served as a gentle reminder of your conundrum.
Okay, so you’re into him.
This time, you silently told yourself, you’re actually going to do more to get to know him. Usually, your interest in men gravitates towards fraternity-affiliated boys, but after two years of mingling with them, nothing felt truly authentic, worthwhile, or genuine. Reflecting on the time an upperclassman in another sorority was gushing about her parents meeting through Greek life at a mixer — you could barely mask your dismay at the notion of finding a lifelong partner within that circle. Gradually, you learned to adapt to navigate those environments with copious amounts of alcohol among other substances. They served as a mask, veiling the disdain some of those young men would bring out in your expression. Their thoughtlessness with their dicks and carelessness with their words often left you repulsed and disheartened..
“Alright,” the disappointment in your professor’s voice snapped your attention back to the room. “Well, you were expected to have had that reading done for today’s discussion. Given that only two of you have actually taken the initiative of checking their emails before class, we’ll need to end early. Check your email for Thursday’s assignment as I’ll be sending it out briefly.” The sound of zipping bags and shuffling papers filled the room as the Professor’s words trailed off, students preparing to leave. Both you and Suguru remained seated, attentive. Hot, you thought. A man with respect for women speaking. “Thursday’s discussion will cover today’s missed discussion along with the planned agenda for our second meeting. See you then.”
She nodded briefly in your direction, and a faint warmth spread across your cheeks from the unexpected attention. Only two of you completed the reading? That caught your curiosity, and it seemed Suguru shared that sentiment. Pivoting in his seat to face you, his grin returning with your flush. “Hey,” his voice, smooth and gentle, made the corners of your mouth instinctively curve upwards.
“Hi,” you replied with a playful smirk, casually tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
“Did you do the reading?” Suguru’s voice lowered, his gaze discreetly scanning a few classmates nearby. You responded with a nod and a soft giggle.
“Did you?” You teased back, your own voice barely above a whisper. You felt like jelly when he rewarded you with a chuckle. Oh man, you thought silently.
“Yeah, I did. It’s just... none of it really made sense. Wondering if you might have some notes or something you could share,” he admitted as you both gathered your belongings, preparing to leave. You suddenly felt self conscious about your outfit, conscious of his attention. You and Suguru were unintentionally matched with your puffy, white turtleneck and shades of brown from your plaid mini skirt complementing his flannel. The leather knee high riding boots didn’t exactly match his black Converse in style, but certainly in color — you just worried it was too… girly. You hoped he wouldn’t write you off for your affiliation to Greek life.
“Um, I did read it, but I have a bit of a weird approach... Do you have a class next or are you free for a bit?” the words spilled out before you could second guess yourself. Yes, keep going, you urged yourself silently as you led the conversation with Suguru into the hall. He can’t make assumptions without knowing you, you reminded yourself. He nodded agreeably, indicating he had some time to spare, then suggested grabbing a table at the coffee shop near campus. As you exited the building together, you decided it was time to let him see the real you.

Kazuki sighs, looking at the contents of the refrigerator. He’s bone tired after a long week of reconnaissance and has no inspiration of what to make for dinner. He knows Rei won’t mind, but after seeing how much instant ramen the man had packed away, he was determined to get some nutrients in him most days – especially with the exercise regime he kept to. He knew he drank protein shakes, but Rei needed to respect the other food groups too.
“Hey, why don’t we order in for dinner?” He calls over his shoulder, finally shutting the refrigerator door in defeat. Rei’s on the sofa, playing a first person shooter on the games console. The blonde remembered telling Rei he should get a hobby – he used to spend an awful lot of time sleeping, smoking and staring into space – and, after they’d moved the exercise equipment in, Kazuki thought video games might fit the bill. He knew the Suwa heir wasn’t exactly going to go out socializing, but he had to suggest something to try and bring a smile to his face.
“Pizza.” The answer comes, his eyes never leaving the screen as he pulled off a perfect head shot.
“Ugh, sure.” Kazuki agrees – he’d had a sushi place he’d been interesting in trying, but he can’t be bothered with the fight. He picks up his phone and starts scrolling to find a menu for a place that delivers. “But you’re paying.”
“Why?”
“Your idea.”
“You’re the couch crasher.”
“I buy the groceries all the time…”
“Because you insist on home-cooked meals,” Rei grunts, mashing the buttons on the controller once more and Kazuki hears the victory ding.
“Okay. Rock, paper, scissors it? Loser pays.” Kazuki suggests, continuing to scroll through places on his phone.
“You want us to fight using only rock, paper and scissors? Interesting combination.” Rei stands up and stretches, looking around to see if any of the items are in sight. There’s probably some scissors in one of the kitchen drawers, some paper too… But a rock?
Kazuki looks up at him, a sarcastic retort on the tip of his tongue but the high-five incident a few weeks prior stops him. “No, no”, he laughs, lightly, rubbing the back of his head. “It’s just a game to help you decide something. I’ll pay…”
Rei’s the other side of the counter now. “Teach me.”
Kazuki places down his phone – he feels awful every time he lets a little bit of information like that slip, though he knows Rei’s aware that he didn’t have a standard childhood. “Okay, so it’s a game played between two people with your hand. You can play three options. Rock,” he clasps his right hand in a fist, making sure to keep it close to his chest so Rei doesn’t think he’s about to sock him one. He watches as Rei easily copies his motion. “Paper…” A flat palm this time – again, keeping it down low. “And scissors.” He returns his hand to the fist position, extending out his index and middle finger to mimic the snipping motion. “Got it?”
“Yeah. Then what?” Rei looks intrigued, quickly switching between the three positions with his hand.
“So, you can play one of those after the count of three. Rock beats scissors – it’ll blunt the blades. Scissors beats paper – it’ll cut through it. Paper beats rock – cos it covers it, or something. I always thought that was the weakest one of the lot…” He shrugs.
“Okay. After a count of three?”
“Yeah. You kinda bounce your fist like this and count, and we reveal what we’re going play on ‘go.’ I know it starts off looking like a rock, but you can change it to paper or scissors… Wanna give it a go?”
“Sure,” he shrugs, but Kazuki can tell he’s intrigued enough to give it a go.
“Right. On go, okay?” Rei nods. “One, two, three, go!” Kazuki goes for rock and so does Rei. The black-haired assassin looks up at him. "Then what?" "It's a draw. So, we can again. One, two, three, go." This time, Kazuki chooses paper and Rei goes for scissors. Rei looks at him, as if waiting for something to happen.
Kazuki smiles, “Go ahead - snip my paper in victory."
There’s a little hesitation, but Rei moves his hand forward and mimics the snipping motion on Kazuki’s flat palm.
“And that’s it?”
“Yeah, we can have another go and do a best of three if you like."
“But I won already.” Rei smirks.
“Yeah, but you might not the next round. Makes it more exciting, doesn’t it?”
“Mm, nah. You’re paying for the pizza. Medium, supreme – no green peppers or tomatoes.” Rei’s already turning back to his game as Kazuki sighs heavily.
“Come on - at least do a best of three for the veg!”

Neon Genesis Evangelion (EP 8, 16, 24, 26)
I want to start off this post by talking about a new main character Asuka. It took me about 2 episodes to figure out she is Rei's opposite. Appearances: Blue hair and red hair. Long hair and short hair. Eye colors are different. One is soft-spoken, the other is vocal. One talks too little (from what I gather from the assigned episodes, I think Rei is supposed to be Eve or Lilith, but Asuka is like Shinji in that they are some descendants of the Evas or Angels or something that is not totally human, so this explains why she acts so cold), the other talks too much. Also the weird but true observation: one is indifferent to perverted accidents, the other is sensitive to perverted accidents; both may or may not [always] involve Shinji.
Asuka represents the tsundere stereotype, I think. I hear the "Baka, hentai!" comment from her a lot, but I can't tell if it's hormones or if she is actually attracted to Shinji. Shinji is a teenage boy, so I know he gets the classic red hand mark on his face, and it's rarely ever his fault. Those characters who are quick to anger and violence without listening to reason are often redheads, and I know it's a popular trope, but I realize as I am writing this the paradox of it all. Asuka is a young girl, and as a bit of a crazy anime watcher, I do believe violence is not always the answer, but it's wrong to assume violence is not an option. However, if every situation that triggers you is answered or resolved in violence, then it's rarely ever resolved. If Asuka even paused for a moment, she could tell Shinji probably did not even have the guts to pull harassment on any girl. To accuse him would make her the true culprit, not the victim. I know the children did not have parental figures to follow, but I guess their immaturity further proves they are really not qualified at all to be humanity's saviors. On the other hand, it is ironic that Asuka's hits can be overlooked so easily. Think about it, if a young boy suddenly had his p**is touched, accidentally or not, by a girl, he probably would just shove her off because if he hit her face, everyone would call him violent. Children who are used as child weapons are essentially taught that violence via their mecha skills is the ONLY solution to solve humanity's biggest problems, so quietly, it's the only solution for small misunderstandings.
Finally, the last episode was more philosophical than I thought. I didn't watch EP25 which I assume is the final battle because I don't think there is a sequel series. The ending didn't even explain what happened to humanity. But I think it's a good moral story to explain ego and self. The swap to 2D pencil drawings is a good way. Without depth, shadow, and background, a sketch exists limitless. I like how Shinji was always told what to do and how he should live. Even at his crisis, he asks people what he should do and how to live, they are the ones telling him the truth of how he should live. While I know the show is the one telling us the truth, to Shinji, it's still outsiders instructing him, even if they have his well-being in the best care possible. It was Shinji, experiencing the No Angels AU (that got to be an AO3 tag, if not, something like No Eva AU) or Middle/High School AU (love the silly shoujo reference with Rei, bread in mouth, "I'm going to be late on my first day of a school in this new city!", and headbumping ML, but not the accidental peeking), that he realizes the truth people have been trying to tell him this whole time. Funny how even his best friends care more about him than he does himself, and only when he really loves himself unconditionally, Eva or no Eva, even in a world where only he exists, that he can learn to actually love others, even his hated father becomes a person he can accept unconditionally. You realize after hearing all the voices, it's because they were people, not static faces with voices, that Shinji can compare his world and his self-image to everyone he meets in the show to find his true self.
It's such a roundabout way to explain everything. All anyone needs is a famous quote by a powerful warrior, one who transcended the mortal realm for his wisdom, bravery, and sheer popularity:
Tumblr media
I never heard about ATLA until COVID-19. Funny because if I had heard of this show when it came out, I would have had a very different childhood.
My favorite post-spring break gift from my professors is an exam (it's not.)

It’s a little rough still, and I’ve only got an outline for the rest of the chapter, which means that it’ll be a little while before it’s finished and ready to be posted. But I like what I’ve written so far…
A sneak peek of Chapter 21 of A Light in the Dark:
“Welcome back, Luke,” Obi-Wan forced himself to smile at the boy – a young man, really – as Luke tentatively opened his eyes.
He watched as Luke blinked once, twice, before the weight of the galaxy seemed to come crashing down around him once again. So much pressure on someone so young. Far too much.
Never again, Obi-Wan swore. Luke was not a pawn to be used by anyone. Not even by those in the Republic Alliance.
“Rey…” Luke croaked out. His bottom lip wobbled for a moment before he set his mouth into a firm line. “Is she… okay? Rex said that she’d be alright.”
Obi-Wan took a half second to consider his words, and smoothed a hand over Luke’s wavy hair, which was sticking up every which way just like his father’s used to at that age.
“Rey’s surgery was a success,” he quietly told his padawan. “They were able to remove the chip that was in her head.”
“But?”
Obi-Wan smiled at Luke’s prodding.
“But she has yet to wake,” Obi-Wan admitted. He rubbed a hand over his beard and sighed. “It’s only been a few hours since her surgery, and a few hours more since she was stunned by Rex.”
Luke tried to push himself up in his bed with his non-dominant hand. “Rex shot her three times,” he said, his gaze finally locking on his bandaged right arm.
Luke’s new cybernetic hand was being held stationary by numerous clamps and splints. The doctor and med droid in charge of the surgery had informed Obi-Wan that Luke was required to be awake for the final few adjustments. It was something that he was already aware of given the fact that he’d sat with Anakin during the installment of his cybernetic right arm.
Obi-Wan nodded. “That he did.” He cleared his throat, drawing Luke’s attention back to him once again. “The doctors aren’t worried about it just yet,” he said as he settled back in his chair next to Luke’s bed. “Of course, the fact that Rey hasn’t slept much these past few weeks is likely having an effect on that as well.”
Luke frowned, and seemed to war with himself over something. “She was resisting it, you know. Her chip or whatever.”
Obi-Wan felt his eyebrows lift in surprise. He did not know, as a matter of fact. “Was she now?”
Luke shrugged, and then winced at the motion. “It looked that way, at least.”
Obi-Wan hummed thoughtfully. “Can you explain what you saw?”
He had, of course, already spoken with Rex while the clone got checked over for a concussion. All Rex had said was that he’d been tossed hard against the stone wall and had gotten stuck behind the bleachers for a few long seconds before he was able to get a clean shot to take Rey out.
“I felt something was wrong just before Rey stepped into the training room,” Luke began. “She tossed Rex against the wall behind the bleachers, then she attacked me.” He frowned. “Did you know that she wields her lightsaber with her left hand? It’s kinda weird to defend against that angle.”
Obi-Wan hummed in consideration of that fact.
Luke snorted. “Not like I defended much of anything,” he admitted, self-deprecatingly. “She uh… she sliced my hand off pretty quickly. But I was able to yank her lightsaber out of her grip with the Force before she could impale me with the thing.”
And wouldn’t that have been a horrible thing to have happen once again?
Obi-Wan forced himself to smile tightly at Luke, silently encouraging him to continue with his explanation.
“Of course, I hadn’t considered the blaster she had on her hip,” Luke continued, oblivious to Obi-Wan’s struggle to keep it together, “which she was quick to remind me of when she pointed it at my chest.”
Here Luke paused, frowning thoughtfully. “That’s when Rey seemed to hesitate.”
“How do you mean?” Obi-Wan questioned.
Luke’s frown became more pronounced. “Her hands shook. She could’ve shot me half a dozen times over in the few seconds it took for Rex to stun her. But she didn’t.” He met Obi-Wan’s gaze dead on. “Her hands shook, and I kept repeating her name, and I swear she could hear me. I could see it in her eyes. She was in there, trapped in her mind.”

Nagisa Kids
At some point long ago @tay-likes-toons introduced me to Kawoshin(I think specifically the Rebuild version) & we ended up making them a fankid. At some point I added 4 more kids & they've changed slightly over time. Vincent did most of the naming while I worked on designs. Also the RPs were very interesting due to very little knowledge of Evangelion.
This is the most recent attempt to draw the kids, these were posted to DA January 26, 2023.(I just realized these were posted on my Birthday) I attempted to recreate the art style of the Rebuild series but at best the hair & faces were the closest I got.
Tumblr media
Before I introduce the kids I want to mention that they're all human due to the final movie Thrice Upon a Time. From what I get Kaworu & Rei are human since everyone is now in a world were Eva & Angels don't exist. I also explain this for something I'll be showing later, also all the kids after Lilith were originally quadruplets before recently being separated out.(With Ibuki & Kain being twins)
Left to right
Lilith "Lilly" - The oldest of the Nagisa kids, Kaworu & Shinji ended up having her at some point in college. She's a friendly & cheerful person that can often be seen with a smile on her face. Lilly studies architecture & history as old historical buildings & ruins fascinate her. She sometimes travels to thanks to some projects but mostly lives a nice life in the city her parents live in. The bow she wears in her hair is a hair clip Lilly has had since she was a baby.
In the RPs Kaworu named her after the angel Lilith & for whatever reason Shinji let it happen thinking it sounds like a flower. Her nickname comes from a RP with crossover elements thanks to Shinji & Kaworu being other characters' kids. Shinji's dad in the RP had nicknamed Lilith "Lilly". Her hair & eyes are suppose to be a mix of her parents' colors leading to cocoa powder hair & purple-ish eyes.
-
Adam - Adam is a lot like his dad, calm & friendly, sometimes to an awkward point to people outside of the family given his dad. Adam was born when Lilith was 3-4 years old, despite this he's managed to get a growth spurt leading to being a little taller than her. He's an artist that does a lot of painting in a studio, he often walks around in his paint covered jeans leading to often seeing Adam with paint smeared on the legs of his jeans.
Adam got his name from his "grandfather" the angel Adam thanks to Kaworu. He & the siblings after Lilith were originally quads before I made changes. His outfit is based off of an outfit called "Fare Kaworu" that was a pic of Shinji & Kaworu in interesting outfits.
-
Ibuki - Ibuki is 14 year old in his first year of school, he's prone to getting injured by mistake leading to having a few band-aids on hand. He can often be seen wearing his sailor themed jacket & his headphones(mostly the jacket) when Ibuki is out of the house. He's quiet & doesn't show much expression but he'll try to interact as best he can. Ibuki enjoys the anime/manga Sailor Moon & listening to music, he wants to study music one day & work on music for anime. While most of his family got silvery hair thanks to his pretty much albino dad Ibuki inherited his dad's family's side's blond hair.
Ibuki is based on draft Kaworu, who had blond hair & was in a sailor suit, he has a personality similar to Rei's. His name before now was Satoshi which was mostly so he wouldn't be called "Gendo Jr" as he was named after his grandpa in the RP were the quads finally got names & Gendo became a good person in the end that lives nearby Shinji & Kaworu.(To be a helpful grandparent) His name was changed to Ibuki as it has the same meaning as "Able".
-
Kain - Kain is Ibuki's older twin, he seems as if he's the opposite of his twin as he's more out going & into sports. Despite this he's very close to Ibuki & also into music, the two seem to never be apart when possible. I guess you could say they're Asuka & Rei if the two were twins that had a close connection. Kain is often protective of his mom & Ibuki, the twins often go to a local cat cafe.
Kain's design is based on a sketch/prototype Kaworu were he had smoothed down hair with bangs swooping to the left. His name comes from "Cain", for some reason I named him Cain with a "k". Kaworu named all the kids except Ibuki but even then Shinji unintentionally named him something similar to the meaning of the name Kaworu would have chosen.
-
Eve "Evie" - Evie is the youngest of her siblings, she is three years old & often clinging to her mom or is being carried around by him. She's a sweet heart that tries to help mommy out but can only do so much due to her young age. While her older sister looks like a mix of both parents & her brothers get their looks mostly from their dad Evie looks the most like her mom. A family friend, Asuka is the one that gave her pigtails. Evie's favorite treat is milk pudding with some jam/jelly on top of it.(Think of those cute milk bottle containers with Japanese milk pudding with strawberry jam or something on top)
Evie is named after an at the moment unknown person named Eve.(I'll explain them eventually) Evie's hair was originally short like Shinji's but now is longer, it's inspired by Nadia from an official sketch were it showed you draw Shinji by drawing Nadia first.
Tumblr media
Here's Evie as an adult, she's meant to look like Shinji with long hair but she kind of looks like Yui
Adult Evie ends up living close to where her parents are. She lives a nice simple life while also running a book store, she's a pleasant person often with a smile she can be a little odd like her father & siblings. Evie sometimes has that odd smiling her family has as if she knows something. Maybe it's those no longer existing angel abilities, maybe something she knows like her mom? Who knows what it is.

Do you think Miraxus will have children, if so what do you think they will be like?
Hi ! I have pretty expensive headcanons about them but they're not that different from the "general" headcanon and I'm a very poor drawer so I never found an interest in writing or drawing about them.
They're three very blond heads (Mira wanted five but Laxus only one in theory so, ironically, they came to a funny compromise without even trying).
The first one is Rei (pretty sure I took that name from a french fic that I read a LONG time ago) which in japanese can be written as 光, which means "light" (I think, I actually only found one source that says it's one of the possible readings, if it's not then just ignore the whole part about her name). Very unoriginally, she is a blond, looks a lot like her mother with very similar eyes but a very strong jaw, defined eyebrow from her father. I like to make her a lightning demon slayer, she's very strong and about the same age as jerza's kid (pretty sure we got a drawing of him not so long ago) and they get along very well (maybe a little too well according to their parents as they get older).
The second one is a boy which is also a blond and three years younger than his sister (Mira had to let Laxus a little time before getting him to want a second one). I won't tell his name because it's a very open take from fictions but I can't find a name for him that I like. He is very strongheaded and looks a lot like his father except for the eyes and kind of mean to others except for his little brother that he protects with his life, and his cousin (elfever's kid) that tags along. I don't have any defined headcanon about his magic though.
The last one (finally, this answer is way longer than I thought it would be), I won't say his name either for the exact same reason as the other one (if anyone has suggestions, I'm open). He is a boy, as stated before, and only one year younger than the second one (wasn't exactly planned but welcomed with lots of love). He is the most fragile and shy, often sick since his birth (Laxus blamed himself a lot for that) but very devoted to helping his mother, from which he took a lot of features, and siblings. He has the lightest hair of all without it being completely white and is also the only one with his father's green/dark eyes (and he's pretty proud of it). He is not very good at magic (and it's okay).
Here you go, it's longer than expected but I hope it was clear enough. Come to me if you have more questions ^^

Not Giving Up: Good Morning, Chapter 7
More Chapters (including NSFW) and detailed tags on Ao3 The connections were strong now. The pair snuggled while watching holovids, doing quite a few of the stupid, wonderful things that couples do. They were connected at both convenient and inconvenient times. By now, they’d fairly worked out how to handle the unexpected company, each teasing the other in different ways if the one was unable to reply due to circumstance.
It was no surprise to Ben that he woke up to find Rey snuffling softly into the pillow beside him. Her brown hair was a mess around her shoulders, eyes still shut tight. She always looked beautiful in her sleep, his desert flower tangled in the black silky sheets. They’d long since stopped trying to understand if the Force was either putting them into two places at once or bridging their existences, simply accepting it. Instead, he leaned up slightly to press a soft kiss against her temple and nuzzle into her neck.
“It’s morning.”
A fussing groan was all he got in response, her face burying further into the pillow. He knew her routines somewhat by now - Rey normally rose early, a holdover from living on a desert planet wherein most activity was done before and after the spikes of heat in the middle of the day. If she was sleeping in, she’d either stayed up late or was particularly exhausted from some adventure.
“You’ll fuss at yourself if you don’t get up, Flower.” He nudged her again, putting a string of teasing kisses along her bare shoulder. Rey still wore a thin undershirt, sleeveless and made of a soft cotton, to bed but it had long ceased stopping Ben’s explorations of her.
One green eye opened a crack and looked at him. A displeased grunt before shutting again and rolling away, pulling some of the bedcovers with her. Making her lover laugh and admit defeat. If she wanted to sleep in, she could sleep in. He, however, could not.
No matter how she hated his work, there was still a great deal to be done. Not the least of which was attempting to dismantle the Resistance while keeping the targets off Rey and those close to her. Ben would allow no harm to come to her, and the protection he attempted to give her closest friends? Well… he owed her that much. Besides, they protected that which he valued above all else - Her.
Ben flipped the rest of the covers off, exposing his broad chest and the black silk pajamas he favored. It was hard to push himself out of the bed when Rey’s warm body was right beside him. His feet hitting the floor with a thud. When he straightened, Ben turned. Planning to draw the covers up around Rey again. But he stilled...
The sight of blood was hardly new to him. He was well familiar with the scent and smell of it, usually in the midst of combat. This… this, however, was new. Rey’s thighs were painted with a dark red smeared between them and there was a patch of darker, shiny black just beneath her on the black sheets.
“What the… Shit!” The final word slipped past his lips without thinking, in a sharp shout. He didn’t know what to do in this situation. Hell, he was just getting used to the kind, supportive boyfriend thing. His mind racing backwards to the various lectures Mother and Father had given him on how to treat partners. None of them had covered this topic.
“What happened?” Rey finally rose slightly, her emerald eyes blinking as she braced on her forearm, startled by his sudden cursing. Trying to wipe sleep from her eyes and annoyed that he’d woke her up.
“You bled on the sheets.” Frustration in his voice, more at himself than her. He should be doing something now but didn’t know what. Changing the sheets? Offering her… candy? Damn it, what was he supposed to be doing! If he didn’t get the sheets off and the blood out of the mattress, servants would be wondering how there was blood on the bed and they were trying to hide this bizarre Force affair. He could probably just burn the bloody bits with his saber. They were all used to his temper, then he could-
“Well, I didn’t do it on purpose!” It was easy to mistake his anger in her own embarrassment. How had that even happened - her period wasn’t supposed to be for another week, and she was in her own bed, from her point of view, so how could it be on both… Her face was flushed scarlet and the woman scrambled up from the bed. Entirely too aware of the blood between her thighs.
“I’ll change the damn sheets.” He muttered under his breath, pulling open the various drawers in his sleeping quarters. He was barely handling bringing her to Darkness, now he couldn’t find the extra sheets. Were there extra sheets? Who changed his sheets anyway?
“You don’t have to be a jerk about it!” Snapping as she retreated quickly to the bathroom, hitting the door button with what bordered on a slam and Ben could hear the lock engaging. Groaning inwardly and burying his head in one of his large hands. He really was an ass.
“Rey… Flower, come back!” Forgetting about the bed, which suddenly seemed trivial.
“Just change the sheets!” Calling out through the door as she sank against the bathroom room in the Falcon, burying her head into her knees and wrapping her arms around her legs.
His reaction was an unpleasant reminder. There hadn’t been much in the way of friendly  faces to teach her how normal this all was. Just frustration that she’d stained valuable clothes or blankets. Her shoulders were shaking as her tears started.
“Rey! I shouldn’t have shouted, I...” He could hear crying and he hated himself all the more. Not knowing exactly why but he knew whatever it was mattered. It was hard for him to apologize. In the First Order, to take blame often meant taking the punishment which was never good. It was far easier and better to push it off on others. He exhaled, letting his forehead hit the black paneled door of his bathroom.
“Leave me alone!” Her voice was cracking from tears and muffled. She didn’t want to think about those days. It had been… a difficult time. Plagued with new desires that were confusing, and attentions that she didn’t always want to be receiving. All the while, desperately missing her parents - who ought to have explained it all and protected her.
“Rey, you didn’t do anything wrong. I was startled and I overreacted.” It was hard not to knock the door down. The lock was flimsy and it wouldn’t be hard. A few solid Force pushes and it would crumple.
How could she even begin to explain it. Her fingers twisted into her brown hair and her silent cries were increasing. Chewie would be worrying about her soon if she couldn’t get her act together and a locked door would not stop the Wookie. Her shoulders heaving, trying to force the sounds of snide remarks out of her head. Those people didn’t matter anymore.
“Flower, what is going on?” It was more than this morning, he was certain of that but he didn’t know what. Was this normal for people on their periods? Ben had barely interacted with others since leaving Uncle and certainly never dealt with this aspect of things.
“Supreme Leader, you are needed on the bridge at once!” Hux’s voice floated in through a com speaker and Ben groaned, hitting his head against the door once more. The last thing he needed right now was Rey being reminded that he was Kylo Ren of the First Order. Just for this moment, all he wanted was to be Ben Solo and get his sweetheart out of the bathroom so he could figure out why she was crying and how to comfort her.
“You should go! They’ve probably found my ship.” There was anger in her voice as it drifted under the bathroom door. She hated hearing Hux’s voice while she was in the Falcon. It wasn’t right. All around her was the comfort and familiarity of home. This was where she belonged. Where she had friends. Where Ben brushed her hair, his nimble fingers braiding it for her before important meetings. The reminders of what he was outside this room were unwelcome. The First Order would hurt everyone who was ever kind to her.
“Flower, even if they’ve found your ship, I will never let them hurt you. Or the Falcon. You have my word.” His voice was quiet, soothing. Still Ben. Needing her to believe at least that. He had needed her trust to coax her over to darkness, surely it was working if their connections were growing stronger.
“Oh so you’ll just have them destroy everyone else instead!” Snapping back, her head raising so that her words were clear but still choked with tears.
“Supreme Leader Ren, can you hear me!” On the bridge, the redhead was growing impatient. He already loathed having to bow to the brat prince. Kylo should never have been favored by Snoke. It was his father who had worked to found the Order. By all rights, this was his. And he would rule it all. Once he found a way to displace Ren.
Ben hit his head against the wall one more time. It was impossible for him to explain to himself why he didn’t want Rey to hear him speaking to Hux. He wouldn’t be saying anything particularly troubling, simply a reply but… It was no longer a role he was comfortable with her witnessing.
“Rey, I’m going to protect everyone you love to the best of my ability.” A rash promise. One he might regret. But he could think of little else to say in the moment. A little comforted by an ease in Rey’s sniffles. Finally reaching over to hit the com button, unable to make himself darken his voice as he would normally do. “This is not a convenient time.”
“We’ve located a convoy bringing support troops to the Resistance. It’s going to be of interest to you.” There was a smug tone to the man’s voice that could be heard over the com and Rey’s breath caught. Finn was on it. And Ben could feel her distress rising through her emotions spilling through the room. Reaching out with the Force. The traitor was on that convoy. Today, of all days?
“Excellent work. I will be up shortly. Do nothing until I arrive. That is an order. I will handle this personally.” His fingers drummed along the wall in thought, allowing his voice to darken. To take on those shadows, his eyes growing black. Could he knock out part of the convoy and spare the traitor? But even if he spared the man, Rey would be upset and he couldn’t risk that. Not now. Not when he’d hurt her. The shadows departed from his face and he exhaled. The voice that followed was Ben’s. Quiet and pleading.
“Flower… I’m not going to hurt him, I know you know he’s there. I can feel it. Trust me.”
For a long moment, she didn’t speak but even a novice Force user could have felt the distrust and the pain rolling off her. Angry and hurt, not helped at all by the literal cramping of her body.
“Let me fix this, Rey. Open the door, let me kiss you before I go up there.” A last gentle plea, hoping to coax her into unlocking the bathroom door. If she didn’t, he couldn’t bring himself to force the issue and he’d have to find a way to divert attention from the convoy regardless. But it would be so much easier on his spirits if he could see her first.
“... I’m gross.” Rey finally spoke, wiping tears from her eyes and her face with the palms of her hands.
“You will never be dirty in my eyes.” A little chuckle in his voice, offering soft reassurance to her. The sound of her finally getting up was reassurance to him. Soft shuffling about in the bathroom. Water running briefly as she cleaned up a little before using a tendril of the Force to press the button which unlocked the door. Unprepared for how quickly Ben would cross through the door and across the floor. Gently cupping her face in his hands and looking down at her. Letting his forehead touch her own.
“I don’t ever want to make you cry again.” He didn’t have time for a full explanation, though he knew there was more at play than simply the events of the morning. Saving her friends, and helping to earn her trust in the long term, was going to be a difficult chess game with Hux and it would occupy most of his day, he suspected.
“What about Finn?” Her face tilted up in quiet demand. How this played out would impact their relationship. If he hurt her friend… It was difficult enough to handle this my-enemy-is-my-lover dynamic without him directly ordering the death or torture of those immediately close to her. She would not be able to continue this.
“Have a little faith in your Monster.” For a moment, Ben was truly his father’s son with a lopsided cocky grin. His thumb brushing over her cheekbones and leaning down to kiss her softly. “You send a signal to Finn that they should check their radar, watch your coms and we’ll talk about the rest of this later, Flower.”
“I will. I’ll be watching though. Don’t let me down, Ben.” Reaching up to gently run her fingers along his scarred cheek and he turned his head to kiss her palm.
“I won’t. With luck I’ll see you tonight.” Another kiss, this time on her wrist, just at the pulse. Letting the heat of his lips linger for a moment. Wanting to remind her of the bond between them, neither ready to put it to words.  And when he drew back, there was a faint smile through her tears. Still concerned - she didn’t entirely trust him. He could feel it, he knew it, he could hardly blame her… but certain that after success today, and sufficient apology for his personal screw up, that he could earn that trust. He’d come so far.
“I hope so, Ben .” As she reached up to give him a soft kiss on the cheek, he could sense the combination of growing comfort, receding distress and worry from her, she could feel the determination on him. The moments of Ben were growing and that soothed her more than anything else. As for the rest, his reaction and those he’d reminded her of? They could discuss it later, after she’d showered and ideally with his arms around her. Snuggled close under a blanket while music played in the background, Finn safe across the galaxy.
Hearing her say his name soothed him more than he would like to admit. Faint curve of his lips into a smile. And though he hated to leave, he had to. Not only to hide the affair and attend to his business but to keep his word to her. Her signal to Finn would no doubt help a great deal but he couldn’t rely on that alone.
As he left, she could feel the connection fade. Did the Force know when a connection must end? Was there something else powering this, something watching? A distressing thought for the private woman and she set it aside. For a moment, she considered powering up the Falcon and chasing after the convoy. She’d never forgive herself if she was wrong. But Ben promised. And he’d told her to send the signal. Which, granted, she would have done regardless. This would be a test.
They were not connected that night. It was almost a week before the connection brought them back together, a span of time that neither were comfortable with. Both afraid the connections had stopped and having no idea how to reach out to the other safely through any other means.
Ben was pacing his throne room, Kylo gnawing at the edges of his mind. He knew where she was. For once. There was a report in his datapad regarding a slain unit and a spy in the Resistance had managed to obtain the Falcon’s next planned stop. He had removed the two reports from general circulation among the First Order elite, and placed them within his private files but it was certain that others had read the reports before he had accessed them.
In frustration he ignited his saber, letting the furious red blade carve grooves with the cold floor where he’d last seen her in person. She’d fought beside him. She’d trusted him with her life then.
“Ben, what are you doing?”
His gaze lifted slightly before she spoke, eyes finding her just before his throne. Hovering in the air while sitting cross legged. Rey had certainly seen action. There was a cut along her cheek he didn’t like the look of and bandages along her legs. All the same, she seemed at peace - with a series of boxes and odds and ends of a ship floating around her in two circles that intersected.
“Get out.” The Supreme Leader turned his head to snarl at the red cloaked Praetorian  guards who lined his walls. It was remarkable how easy it had been to replace the ones they had killed. There was never a shortage of those willing to grovel, to be close to power. Each masked guard turned towards him for a moment to confirm.
“Now,” snarling the word and pointing the way towards the door with his lit saber. Only turning off the weapon when the last guard was gone and the door was shut behind them. Barely hooking it to his belt before he ran towards her.
“Are you alright?” Brushing aside the floating bits she was practicing with to run his hands down her arms. Looking over her injuries. Not noticing that he was breaking her concentration in his concern.
“I’m fine. Just got caught in a fire,” frustration in her tones as Rey tried to keep herself and the bric-a-brac she’d been practicing with aloft. The debris hitting the ground first before she started falling, only to be caught by Ben. “I was doing something!”
“So was I.” He responded in kind, quickly turning so that he could settle in the throne with her still in his arms. “What’s this about fire? I didn’t see that in my reports.”
“You were having a tantrum. Do we have to sit here?” She muttered crossly, easing her legs over the edge of the throne even as she fussed about it.
“Yes.” Ben’s short reply, the tips of his fingers running just over the bandages along her legs. She’d been burned. More so than she cared to admit to him but she’d recover. Assuming she was taking care of herself. “Have you seen a healing droid?”
“Ben, I’m fine. I got hurt worse on Jakku.” Just over five days of no contact and this was when the Force decided to connect them? It could have picked up when she was thinking of him before the mission, when she’d gotten the news that Finn was all right - that several of the firing controls on the attacking ships had jammed. It could have picked up just after the fight, when she was in pain and desperately wanted his arms.
“You’re mad at me.” He commented dryly, brown eyes flicking up to her green ones. “Did my solution not work? My reports were that your friend and his transport escaped.”
“I’m mad that you aren’t here.” Rey sighed in exasperation, letting her head fall onto his shoulder. He must have felt the sting for the arm around her back tightened a little. Her eyes closed and she breathed out a slower exhale. “Ben… I’m sorry. I’m… just… being pulled in a lot of directions at once. Leia doesn’t want me on the missions anymore, not till I’m better trained.”
“And you want to be there, to protect them.” For once he held back comments about her needing a teacher, needing him as a teacher. This was not the time, he was gaining her trust back. He would need that.
“Mmmhmm.” She murmured in agreement, eyes closing and nestling close into his arms. Savoring the quiet and the feel of his chest rising and falling beneath her. Carefully, Ben rested his other hand on her ankle and let his forehead brush hers. Outside the First Order was bustling about with plans of domination and conquest. Some he knew about, many he didn’t - simply too small scale to warrant his notice. So few things could receive his personal attention and nothing could supplant the mission in his arms.
“Thank you, Ben.”
He was almost startled when her voice broke the quiet. Thumb lazily running along her scarred bicep as he felt her press a soft kiss against his cheek.
“The plan did work. You were right.” A quiet admission that lifted the weight of mountains. While it seemed so easy for her to say, he buried his face into her shoulder to hear it. The arm around her side tightened.
“Thank you, Flower.” When he spoke at last, Rey did not understand the quiver in his voice. Only letting her cheek rest against his head. Her slender fingers slowly stroked through his curly black hair. How it managed to always be so perfectly tousled, she’d never know. But there was a peace flowing through him that she’d not felt since they’d stood side by side. A peace she’d not interrupt for the world.

AFTER CONTEMPLATING FOR SEVERAL MINUTES:
reiner braun 🤪 + “please?? just pretend we’re dating. it’s only for today, i promise!
this is literally the cutest moonie, i'm proud of you for hitting 250!! ilysm 💖✨💕
oh my gosh i’m so sorry this took me so long,, thank u so much for the request n the congratulations mar !! very happy that my first work for this event can be for my love, our one n only reiner ♡(。- ω -)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in all your years of knowing reiner, you couldn’t say that you’d ever once heard him sounding so frantic.
“please?? just pretend we’re dating. it’s only for today, i promise!”
those were the exact words he’d used over the phone, imploring for you to come to the official marley high ten-year reunion and pose as his girlfriend. despite how you assured him that you were certain no one would judge him for being single, he seemed adamant that it would be the exact opposite. and after a few apologies for your laughter at his predicament and a brief negotiation over his payment of getting you your favorite drink from the cafe near your workplace for the next few weeks, it was a done deal.
though you admittedly felt a twinge of anxiety upon entering the venue of chattering adults, dressed in the best semi-formal outfit you had in your closet, you could see that he was the more obviously nervous one between the two of you.
“just relax, rei.” you murmured, slipping your hand in his and giggling at the way his arm tensed, “these are your high school friends! i’m sure they’ll be surprised enough that you managed to find a nice girl like me all by yourself—“ he huffed disapprovingly, earning another small laugh, “—and only ask about your work or something.”
you barely finished your brief attempt at a pep talk when a loud voice came from somewhere by the food table. “is that you, braun?!”
reiner’s jaw shifted, a sign you’d come to learn meant him holding back a wince, turning to see a man with slicked back hair and a broad grin on his face approaching. based on his heavy-lidded gaze, paired with the red solo cup tipping dangerously horizontal in his grasp, you assumed he was quite tipsy already.
“considering how late you are, i wasn’t sure you’d even show,” he chuckled, still having to peer up at reiner despite still being taller than you, “but the more i thought about it, the more i remembered you never were the punctual type anyways.”
“great to see you too, porco..” reiner replied half-heartedly, palm already getting clammy in your grasp.
you glanced momentarily between them, deciding to come to your friend’s rescue by clearing your throat, drawing the teasing attention away from him. “actually, he was late because of me.” you flashed a smile, leaning into reiner’s side. “just wanted to look my best since i knew i was gonna be meeting his old friends.”
“holy shit..” porco muttered after a moment of silence, hazel eyes blowing wide as he stared at you like you’d disappear if he blinked even once, only breaking his gaze to turn over his shoulder and call out, “piecky, c’mere! i think reiner’s actually got a fuckin’ girlfriend!!”
you barely stifled a laugh at reiner’s low sigh of discomfort, pointedly ignoring how the people around glanced at porco’s shout. “did you seriously used to hang around with that guy?”
“no..” he grumbled back, “he hung around the people i hung around with and always gave me shit for no reason.”
“wow, rei, feeling a little feisty tonight, are we?”
he scoffed as you reached up to poke at his cheek, able to see the pink flush that had settled over his sharp features despite the dim lighting, dodging your inquiry while he looked ahead. “he’s coming back.”
putting on the smile you’d practiced so many times right back on, you caught sight of a cheerful dark-haired woman sidling over to your small group. “reiner?! you seriously got even taller? who’s this?”
you both exchanged names, offering a hand for her to shake which she eagerly took, turning to reiner for affirmation of your identity, to which he said, “yeah, she's my.. girlfriend...”
“how long have the two of you been together?”
“a couple months—”
“—almost a year.”
you quickly laughed off the sudden nerves of giving conflicting answers, turning back to reiner’s friends and recovering with, “we’re not super big on keeping track of dates. you know how time flies when you love someone.” you turned up to reiner, lips perking into a doting smile, “right?”
his cheeks flushed an even darker red, a sheepish smile brightening his expression. “right.”
“looks like you’re the only single one, pock.” pieck teased, laughing when the man rolled his eyes and huffed.
“you’re still with zeke?” reiner asked, prompting her to extend her left hand, waggling her fingers to show off the large diamond ring on her finger.
“yep, engaged for two years now!”
“apparently still too good to come to anything she invites him to.” porco grumbled in response.
“i already told you he’s on a business trip,” she frowned, taking his cup from his hand and taking a generous sip from it, “i’m sure he would’ve come if he hadn’t had somewhere else to be.”
“whatever you say..” he sighed, letting her finish his drink despite his apparent annoyance.
thankfully, your small slip up had been ignored, allowing both you and reiner to relax when the two finally turned their attention back to you. the night progressed much less turbulently than you’d previously anticipated, reiner allowing you to handle any questions directed at your relationship, not saying anything when you frequently slipped in little white lies to make everything seem more convincing. it didn’t stray terribly far from the truth, you were entirely honest about the way you’d met and the things that had made you “fall in love with him”.
you took a strange amount of joy in posing as his significant other, just as he gave equally genuine reactions when you wrapped his arm around your shoulder or ate something from his plate of food, flustered and smiling all throughout. for a few brief moments, you almost forgot that he was meant to be pretending too. he’d seemed more than happy to see that you were getting along well with all his old friends.
you learned more about reiner in the hour that you’d been milling around the room with him than you probably ever had in the confines of the job environment that you’d met him in—intrigued to hear that he’d been the captain of the football team, feuded with the neighboring high-school’s while being head over heels for the captain of their cheer team, held the title of champion arm-wrestler for all four years he attended marley—little details that you made you would’ve never known had you never agreed to come. the unintentionally intimidating, humble, easy-to-fluster human resources manager that you’d befriended apparently used to be a total jock, always getting himself into trouble.
and, based on how many times you’d been congratulated on managing to stick by his side for longer than a few months, you could only assume that you hadn’t even scratched the surface of discovering the entirety of reiner’s character.
eventually, your small group of four that’d you started out the night with had reconvened, tipsy from constantly sipping on spiked punch, an excited exclamation from pieck made all of you turn. “look! the photo booth finally opened up!!”
she was already rushing away for the corner of the venue before anyone could say a word, everyone following suit with a laugh as she stuffed a five dollar bill into the pay slot.
“uhh, pieck, i think this thing was only meant for two people.. max.” porco said after drawing open the curtain, earning a frown from her.
“but i want us all to take a picture together!” she slid into the booth despite the observation, turning to you, “c’mon, i’m sure we could all squeeze in if you sat on reiner’s lap.”
you felt your face flush, knowing there was no way to work around her request without raising some kind of suspicion and ruining the act you’d both somehow maintained for the entire night. “sounds like a plan..!”
you could feel how tense reiner was behind you as you got settled on his thighs, hesitating to rest his hands on either side of you while pieck and porco struggled to work the screen before them. you were starting to regret not asking if this was okay with him before agreeing, but you were sure he would’ve found some way out of the situation if he was truly uncomfortable. he only seemed to be preoccupied with the thought of making you uncomfortable, something which made a flicker of affection warm your chest.
“alright! we’ve got four pictures,” pieck announced, “starting... now! and make the first a normal one!”
the first three pictures were the standard photo booth antics—one with all of you smiling normally, one with all of you making the most ridiculous face you could think of in five seconds, and one of all of you arguing over what the third photo should’ve been.
“do something cute for the last one to make up for the messed up one!” pieck demanded through her laughter, pointing urgently at the countdown on the screen, “hurry up an’ kiss or something!!”
you turned back to look at reiner, wide golden eyes gazing down at you, obviously unprepared for the steadily escalating circumstance that was only being intensified by the chanting of “kiss, kiss, kiss!” coming from the woman who’d paid for the photos in the first place. and although you knew you had no obligation to do what she asked just because she had been so kind to you despite only meeting you tonight, or because the timer was winding down towards zero all too quickly, you still found yourself reaching out a hand to settle just under his jaw, heart racing impossibly fast when you realized he was already leaning down to meet you halfway.
his lips were still sweet with whatever juice had been mixed with alcohol, skin warm and blushing from your proximity, the hand that had been resting in your lap wandering to lace your fingers with his. the exchange didn't last nearly long enough, the click of the camera drawing you back to the cramped reality, pieck's cheers through giggles and porco's disgusted scoff for you two to get a room.
"i better be invited to your wedding!" pieck joked, reaching across you to draw open the curtains in a silent sign for you to pry yourself away from reiner.
"likewise." you replied with a smile, almost giddy with excitement as you clambered out of the photo booth.
though reiner's expression just barely passed as casual, his cheeks were burning red, even the tips of his ears flushed as the four of you waiting for the machine to dispense your photos. the function was winding down fast, and as soon as your drawn-out goodbyes were finally finished, you and reiner left, hand-in-hand, much to talk over but neither of you willing to speak until you'd reached the privacy of his car.
you turned to him, smiling in the dim glow on the lights of his dash, laughing softly at his sheepish expression, "i know you said we'd only pretend for a day but.. you think i could request a little extension?"

BNHA chapter 290 reactions
Oh boy, just when I was saying that such a long arc was eroding my ability to hype myself...
Tumblr media
Oh boy... I guess we finally got the answer to “Was that message for Rei or for the whole country?” and the answer is both. Dabi sent a direct message to his mom and we don’t know what he told her.
And since we have a big close-up on the flower “Enji” gave Rei without leaving a message, I am now wondering if it wasn’t a gift from Dabi.
Tumblr media
Ah, the Todoroki pose of “I have no idea of what to feel.”
Also, I think we now have the confirmation that Dabi is a theater kid.
Tumblr media
Okay, so first, it’s nice to have the confirmation that Izuku did make some damages.
What’s less nice is knowing that AFO can control Tomura to this extent. By accepting to become a guinea pig, he became AFO’s puppet and I am not sure of how long it will take before AFO erodes his will and takes full control of him.
Tumblr media
Horikoshi, think of the fanfic writers. When you show cool attacks, explain stuff about them, please. Because of you, I will have to spend an hour trying to analyze three panels.
Tumblr media
Oh, that’s a meme waiting to happen.
Endeavor when Nejire and Shouto fight Shigaraki: “RUN! HE’S GOING TO KILL YOU! RUN!”
Endeavor when Midoriya was fighting Shigaraki: “Welp, this might as well happen.”
Tumblr media
I don’t know what’s the more terrifying, Gigantomachia channeling the Rogue Titan or AFO having fun with Forced Quirk Activation. Okay, probably the later.
There should really be a limit to how long those tentacles can get, thank you very much.
Tumblr media
Bakugou is awake and if I was him, I would go straight back to sleep but no, not him.
Does... Does he still have a quirk, though? I would like to see some sparks flying. Just to be sure.
However, he is right in the sense that they need to kill Shigaraki now. If he manages to escape, they will have lost everything. That would mean that another cataclysm can happen at any time and society will collapse. I am not talking about the hero society. I am talking full Dawn of Quirks mess.
I do not want to witness what so many people with uncontrollable powers can do when they are scared.
Tumblr media
I am going to believe that Machia assumes that the second “Master’s scent” also comes from Shigaraki because with all the smoke in the air, he didn’t notice Izuku and his multiple quirks who are right there.
Also, Izuku wasn’t using cough... all for one... cough several quirks when Gigantomachia arrived, don’t think I didn’t notice it.
I was robbed from my Little Lord moment!
Tumblr media
Shigaraki, every bones of his broken and the only reason why he remained standing so long is probably because AFO was manipulating his strings: “Oh, do tell me about your problems. It’s not like I can go anywhere after I was INCINERATED THEN BEATEN HALF TO DEATH BY THE INCARNATION OF FERALNESS. But please, tell me how hard it was for you.”
Tumblr media
The small green child with broken bones isn’t named Shouto, Endeavor.
More seriously, you see Endeavor’s hand on Midoriya’s back? He isn’t checking that he is alright, he is actually holding him back because he is scared he is going to yeet himself again at the villains and try to finish the job.
Tumblr media
That’s why you never make promises on live television. Too many witnesses that will call you out later.
Tumblr media
Shouto is so fucking done at this point. He just survived a decaying wave, he showed up only to see all the heroes and his friends half dead, he almost got slapped by Gigantomachia, this is NOT the day to keep messing with him, and here is this asshole, all happy during the worst time of Shouto’s life.
As for Dabi... This man is hilarious. Look at how happy he is. His audience is here, too weakened to kick his ass, and now is the time.
Also, you see the bottle he is shaking? That was in the pouch he has been wearing since his first appearance. He was ready from Day 1.
Tumblr media
Now, the riddle for the ages, the thing that interests me far more than what happens one panel later: what the hell is this and how did it bleach his hair so fast?
Tumblr media
What am I hearing? Oh yes, the sound of ALL THE DABI IS A TODOROKI BEING VALIDATED RIGHT NOW. CONGRATULATIONS, FUNKY LITTLE CONSPIRACY THEORISTS. MAY KNOWING THAT YOU WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG MAKE YOU LIVE LONGER.
Whatever you’re thinking about Dabi, you have to admit that he knows how to use a narrative. He has been sitting on this for years, waiting for the right time to do the most damage, and here he is.
Tumblr media
Let’s all appreciate this rare moment where Shouto and Enji have the same face of “What the hell is going on?”
But more importantly, let’s all appreciate Midoriya who was once again dragged into the Todoroki drama.
This has nothing to do with him, and yet, once again, a Todoroki appeared and felt the need to announce his entire tragic backstory in his vicinity. All those jokes about Todoroki never meeting Izuku because he would have coughed up his secret in the second were true.
Tumblr media
Dabi looks so soft here and some part of me wants to believe that’s because he knew Rei would be watching.
And by that, I mean Dabi is a Momma boy.
I am bravely trying to keep a straight face as this guy is about to explain us why he killed 30 innocent people instead of his dad or some members of the Hero Commission.
I mean, Fuyumi managed not to snap despite many reasons, so really, there is no excuse.
More seriously, I hope that he won’t only reveal what Endeavor did. I want to know why he was considered dead. And I want to know if my theory about Touya being in the same HSPC program as Hawks is true, because there has to be a reason why he knows his real name.
Of course, for the last one, I can accept that Young Touya found a drawing of Endeavor and a young kid with red wings sent by a little fan through the Endeavor agency.
But I would much prefer to see more about the HPSC and how horrible it is.
Tumblr media
The real victim of this chapter: Can’t-You-See-kun.
Tumblr media
Look at how happy he is. I am pretty sure this is the best day of his life.
@pocketramblr is the one who realized that Horikoshi had to knock Dabi unconscious in Kamino because that man would have jumped on the occasion of screaming to the world who he really is, only to see society freak out.
There is 50% chance that AFO would have killed him for being more dramatic than him but, man, what a way to go.
Tumblr media
*squints* Is that his hair becoming white due to the strain?
Tumblr media
I am... actually not surprised by it. Dabi doesn’t know Shouto. And he isn’t Touya anymore.
The only thing Shouto is to him is Endeavor’s weapon to become number 1 and the child that stole his place and who made all his pain meaningless.
Tumblr media
Endeavor: “Redemption arc?”
Dabi: “Hahaha NO. Step 1 of my plan where you get everything you want right before I make you choke on it.”
Tumblr media
This is nothing short of breathtaking and once again, Horikoshi steals my breath away.
Make no mistake: Touya is dead. He died a long time ago. Only remains a rageful ghost hold together by hatred and staples. He will not hesitate to sacrifice anything to destroy Endeavor, be it himself, others, and even members of his family.
Tumblr media
I have about zero regret for Endeavor but the rest of the Todoroki family? Dabi just took a sledgehammer to that and now, they will all have to live with the consequences.
Kudos to Dabi, though. He did what All for One didn’t manage to do. He wanted to ruin the number 1, to show that he was a liar and how pitiful he was. All for One failed to do so when he revealed All Might’s true form but Dabi executed that plan perfectly.
The other really good point about this is that no one will care about Izuku using multiple quirks. With how Dabi stole the show, Shigaraki will be lucky if people still talk about him.

A Bit of Water
Word Count: 1554
Character: Jean Kirstein
Content: low key sad, head trauma (no mentions of how it happened), amnesia, bit of fluff
Tumblr media
“Do you really think Armin’s right about the sea existing?” You asked, sitting down next to Jean. It was a long day of military movement and you were both finally able to relax alongside a lake. Contrary to being with the group of friends you shared, he sat alone.
Your friend looked at you and shrugged, “We’ll know once we see it.”
“I wonder if the water would taste good,” you pondered aloud, suddenly looking at the lake with curiosity. Then you murmured, “Maybe it tastes better than well-water.”
Disgusted laughter erupted from Jean and through laughs he choked out, “Why would you drink sea water?”
Now it was your time to shrug, but with a sheepish chuckle. Yep, your crush probably thought you were weird. “You never know! Maybe it doesn’t taste too bad.”
Jean snickered, “You’re really something, Y/N.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment,” you flushed.
A comfortable silence fell on you two as you both watched the currents of the lake. Everyone behind them were chatting up a storm, but here you two were. Silent except for the sounds of your breathing and the pounding of your hearts. The moon cascaded on the lake with white brush strokes to provide a beautiful scene. It was one etched into your mind forever.
You smiled with a sigh, “I’m sure Marco would’ve loved to see it.”
Jean drew a sad expression until he exhaled and smiled, too. “You’re right. He would. But we’ll see it together, okay?”
~
Unfortunately, you never got to visit the sea. In fact, you didn’t know why you were here in the hospital at all. Apparently, you suffered a head injury that made you lose all of your memories. You knew your name, your family, and some of the names of people from your past. The nurse, Mrs. Rei, would tell you of a visitor who only came in the night. She said the visitor didn’t want you to know who they were.
“Did he come again, Mrs. Rei?” There was a loneliness in your voice that the older lady caught onto.
Her mouth dropped into an apologetic line, “Yes, I’m sorry. He’s just not ready yet.”
After a soft sigh, you nodded. It had been a month or two since you were admitted into the hospital from a brain injury. The only people who came were your family on occasion. Otherwise, it was just you, Mrs. Rei, the glass of water on the night stand, and a Wings of Freedom emblem in the drawer.
If what you knew was true, you were a member of the Survey Corps. From where you were now, you couldn’t imagine the courage you must’ve had to want to journey outside the walls. You peered out the window, which was the only escape from this room that you had. Small birds here and there fluttered freely, without a care in the world. Trees swayed with the seasons and life around you carried on. Yet you were stuck here.
Perhaps your comrades were out there right now, searching for answers and fighting off Titans. Perhaps they were all dead and no one wanted to break the truth to you, for fear of further mental regression. Either way, the only thing you did know was that you knew nothing of your unit.
~
It had been a few months since Jean saw you. The last time, you were asleep, as usual. If you were awake, he wouldn’t know what to do with himself. How could he tell you that he was the reason you had to be hospitalized with no memory to speak of? How could he tell you everything that your friends went through? How could he explain to you how beautiful the ocean was, but when he saw it, he couldn’t even think about anything else but you?
How could he control himself if you were awake, not even remembering him at all? How would he handle knowing that any feelings you two might’ve shared are no longer reciprocated? Yet he bit his lip and walked into the hospital.
For the first time, he would be seeing you in broad daylight. Albeit in a hospital, it was still better than nothing. The smell of cleanliness hit him first, sterilized as much as possible to reduce infections. Captain Levi would love it here. But this wasn’t a place for happiness.
The nurse, Mrs. Rei, recognized him immediately and knew why he was here; but she still managed to widen her eyes slightly in surprise. “You’ll be seeing her this afternoon, sir?”
He gave a sure nod to stabilize himself. “I think I’m ready.”
She smiled, “Follow me. She’s awake, drawing something right now.”
Jean followed obediently, thinking about what he’d say to you. First, he’d apologize for not visiting in person and then for your accident. Then, he’ll hopefully be able to catch you up on everything. Finally, he’ll give you a present.
“Mr. Kirstein, are you ready?” Mrs. Rei looked at him worriedly. After all, he’s tried to do this before but backed away before he could even open the door.
He exhaled and nodded, “I won’t hesitate this time.”
She smiled, “Good.”
Then, the door was opened. There you were laying on the bed with a sketch pad on your lap. You looked up from your drawing, surprised at having a visitor. He wasn’t anything like your family, who visited in civilian clothing. He was wearing his military uniform, with a clear Wings of Freedom emblem on his chest. You must’ve known him.
Jean stepped into the room, with Mrs. Rei leaving them for privacy. He stood awkwardly before the door, all the conversations he played in his head suddenly vanished. Your curious eyes looked at him from under your eyelashes. In fact, you spoke first, “Hi, did I know you?”
You asked such an innocent, rational question but it still shot through Jean’s chest. The guilt and sadness nibbled at his heart, threatening to swallow it whole. “I- you do. I’m Jean Kirstein. We were in the military together.”
Immediately you sat up straighter, like an invisible string pulling on your head. “So, we did know each other... Are you by chance the one who visits me in the night?”
An embarrassed blush rose to Jean’s cheeks, “You’re right, I am. I’m sorry, I just didn’t know how to approach you.”
Despite all his stammering and embarrassment, you smiled kindly at him. “It’s fine. I don’t think I would know how to approach someone who lost their memories either.”
You stared at him, into his very soul. He wasn’t able to look at your face, but chose to look at anything but you. His eyes glanced from the window to the water glass on your nightstand. Then, they landed on your sketch pad. “I was drawing something; would you like to have a closer look at it?”
He slowly stepped towards you, taking a seat as you stretched your arm out so he could see it. As he looked at the drawing, you were able to smell him. His woody scent was so familiar and calming that it put you at ease. In fact, being near him made you so much more comfortable after only having hospital staff as company for so long. You eased and leaned towards him, resisting the urge to put your hand through a complete stranger’s hair.
Jean’s eyes sparkled; it was the same lake you two sat at before everything fell apart. Taking in the drawing, he was forcibly thrusted back into that time. When it all seemed so much simpler and you remembered everything about everything.
“It’s beautiful,” was all Jean could muster.
You chuckled, “Thank you. It’s one of my favorite scenes to draw.”
“Do you remember anything about it?”
“I remember how it made me feel. Safe, warm, happy.” Your voice drifted off, “But I don’t know why.”
Jean’s eyes drooped slightly and a frown pulled at his mouth. Out of habit, he covered his ears. “I’m sorry, it’s all my fault you don’t have any memory.”
Your eyebrows furrowed, “Jean. Whatever you did, I’m sure it was the only way. I may not remember much of anything, but I’m still able to make new memories.”
“R-right,” he stuttered. “That reminds me, I have something for you.”
He reached into his pocket and procured a small bottle of water. At the bottom was a collection of some sand with a tiny, red shell on top. His warm hands handed it to you, “You always wanted to see the ocean.”
You gaped and whispered, “It’s real?”
Jean chuckled with small tears forming in his eyes, “Yeah. Just – don't taste it though, it’s really salty.”
He was so serious with that flat line on his face that you laughed aloud, “Why would you drink sea water?”
“You never know! Maybe it doesn’t taste too bad,” he defended himself and crossed his arms. His mouth pouted in such a way that you felt this strange need to kiss him so he felt better.
Although he was peeved at being teased again by the girl he liked, seeing you smile sent butterflies to his stomach. Another blush rose to his face against his will. Your sweet voice spoke again, “Thank you, Jean. You’re really something.”

Driver
Pairings: Kazuki x reader Warnings - car crash, explosions, implied death Word count: 4,411 For an anon request. Please do keep sending in requests - love the inspiration!
--
You enter the café – shoving the door open with a little more force than is strictly necessary. Kyu raises an eyebrow at you, but continues his polishing. You glance around to find the establishment empty – not unusual for the time of day – and take a seat at the bar. Once you’re settled, you remove the USB stick he’d given you last night and place it down on the counter, sliding it over to him.
“Nuh-uh, Kyu. You’ve got to have something better than this for me.”
“Sorry?” He scoffs. “Didn’t think your current situation allowed you to be so picky.”
That stings. You’ve been out of work for a little bit, courtesy of a broken wrist slipping on the ice in the winter. You’ve been out of the cast for just over a month now and the limb’s finally back to its normal level of flexibility. Your savings account has taken quite the hit due to being out of work for so long and Kyu is somehow aware. Figures.
“Rude.”
“That’s all I have for you – take it or leave it. I don’t care either way.”
You sigh, looking at the USB stick. It’s not so much the job that’s the issue, it’s the people it’s with. It’s always clear when someone in the Organization is starting to get sloppy and you’d seen the articles in the papers whilst you were at home, losing your mind. It only took a tiny amount of asking around to find out who was acting the clowns – Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa.
Everything they’d done recently seemed to draw publicity and was a little less subtle than things usually were - a Christmas party with literally hundreds of witnesses had been the most publicized. You preferred under the radar jobs as much as possible and you had pride on how you handled your job. Your father had been a mechanic with a shady side career. He’d taught you how to drive and how to hot-wire all manners of vehicles since you were 12 years old and you’d helped him in his endeavors right up until his death. When you found yourself facing homelessness at 17, you’d found yourself with Kyu as a contact.
“They’ve just been so… flashy.”
Kyu smirks – he’d also used the word in reference to the two. “And that’s why I’ve partnered you up. You’ve been out of work for a while and after an injury, we need a skill check. Make those two look good and you’ll be back in the good books.” He slides you across an espresso you hadn’t noticed he was making. “On the house.”
“You’re not going to sweeten me up with free coffee.”
“As I said, take it or leave it. I don’t care. I can get another driver to take it, but you’re not getting any other work until they’re happy that you’ll still up to scratch.”
You bristle at that. Up to scratch?
You down the espresso in one and snatch back the USB stick as you leave.
--
You sigh, before opening up a new email and pasting in the email address from the USB stick.
Hey. Kyu’s referred me over as a driver. When and where can we meet to discuss?
You heat up some leftovers and settle on the couch in front of some mindless TV. An hour or so later, your burner phone dings with a reply.
Great! Can you meet at the attached at 11am tomorrow?
Attached is an address. You search it via the maps app, surprised when it seems to be a residential address rather than an office or a warehouse where your usual briefings took place, but then granted it’s the boss’ son you’ll be dealing with, perhaps they’re comfortable doing things there.
See you then.
It’s a nice morning as you make your way to the address. You’re dressed pretty casual – black boots, black skirt and tights, white t-shirt and a black denim jacket with your hair down loose. It’s a huge apartment complex by the river-side, much more aesthetic than your dinghy box-room apartment downtown. You press the button for the elevator and ascend to the top floor, head towards the numbered door as directed and ring the doorbell, looking around as you wait.
The door opens – a handsome blonde man in a blue t-shirt, a pink shirt, cargo shorts and an apron with a cartoon shark on it greets you. He’s not who you’d immediately picture as an assassin and you wonder if you’ve possibly misread the address.
He stares at you for what seems an eternity.
“Diesel?” You sigh. It was a dumb nickname from your teens and it had stuck. You were pretty sure there were those in the Organization who knew your real name – Kyu did for sure but knew better than to use it – so most people knew you as that.
“Mm-hm.” You nod.
“I’m Kazuki, come on in.” He widens the door and steps back, allowing you entry. You step in but as Kazuki shuts the door, a force slams you into the wall, twisting your arm behind your back.
“Are you armed?” A voice hisses in your ear.
You stomp on your assailant’s foot firmly, thankful you still had your boots so you can really aim for the toes. Their grip stays firm though you’re sure it must’ve hurt.
“Rei!” The blonde protests. “Get off her.”
“I said, are you armed?”
“No!” You mumble into the wall. A hand starts patting down your sides to double-check before you’re finally released. You scowl at the dark-haired man – this must be the Suwa heir. His hair is long and shaggy and he looks like he could do with a few good meals and a week’s sleep.
“What the hell? Is that how you treat all your guests?”
“I’m sorry about Rei, there was a better way to do that. Are you all right?”
“I’m fine.” Your arm smarts but you’re not going to give him any satisfaction. “Can we get down to business already? I don’t have all day.”
“Please – follow me!” Kazuki starts heading further into the apartment and you follow, aware that Rei is behind you – probably to make sure you’re not about to pull something.
You’re led to a kitchen table where there’s a laptop and folder waiting. You’re surprised to see a child’s seat there too. Rei sees you staring as you take the seat next to it, but you won’t ask. It’s a job. There’s no need for pleasantries.
“So…” Kazuki slides over a manilla folder to you. “This is our hit.” You flip it open and are greeted by a surveillance photo of a young man, drinking and smoking at what appears to be a casino. Seems like he’s irritated someone enough to be removed from the picture.
“Uh-huh, and where do you picture me in this scheme?”
“Well, intel suggests the perfect time to hit him is two days away. He’s due to be heading into the country for a week. We’re trying to be more subtle” – it’s hard not to notice the side-eye he gives to his partner. “so my thought was to run him off the road, make it look like an accident.” He opens up his laptop and spins it round, showing you a route. “There’s a section of the road along the cliff here. He’s known for his love of fast cars and speeding, so it could be quite subtle.”
“Can you not run him off the road, blondie?” You ask the obvious question.
He raises his eye at your choice of nickname but doesn’t comment. “I’m not so confident in my driving skills in that type of terrain. Worried I might drive off the cliff myself, but I’m reluctant for an all guns blazing approach.”
“Mm.” You agree. “Do you have in here what he drives?”
Kazuki slides the folder back over to himself momentarily, scanning the documents before he finds what he’s looking for. “There.” He flips it back around and taps.
You recognize the model. “Ooft, fancy. That’s high spec and is pretty speedy. You’ll need something that can keep pace, but heavy enough to survive the impact without the risk of us getting injured too.”
“Do you have anything?” Rei asks.
You sigh. “Nah, not to hand. I usually jack a car for the job, but I don’t think I’m going to find something suitable on the streets for this.” You drum your fingers on the table, thinking for a moment. “Can I look something up on your computer real quick?”
Kazuki nods and pushes it forward. You open up a new tab and search – finding what you’re looking for with ease. You swing it back round. “This could be the solution though.”
“A dealership?” He questions.
“An exclusive dealership. They’re showcasing some army models there at the moment on the sly. The specs are intense and it’s a solid body – it should keep up with his car no problem.”
“How are you going to steal a car from there?” Kazuki questions. “Let alone one that’s not for the public to purchase.”
You twirl your hair between your fingers. “I have an idea. But first, do you have a really outlandish suit?”
Kazuki grins.
--
It’s the day of the hit. You wanted to be at the dealership as soon as it opened, but Kazuki said they weren’t available until 9am due to ‘prior commitments.’ Fine – they were technically the lead on this after all. You’re waiting down in their car park, leaning against the limo your hook-up had provided. You did each other favours all the time – getting cars in for their elusive clients and in turn they sourced you cars if you needed cover. It’s bright white, leather seats, shiny rims – it screams more money than sense.
Thankfully, their car park has remained quiet whilst you’ve been waiting for them to join you. The elevator dings and you see the two exit, dressed exactly as ordered. Kazuki is in a bright red suit, cravat and all, sunglasses on and looks the real deal. Rei is dressed in a more simple black suit – well-fitted but not screaming ‘look at me’.
Kazuki whistles at your attire as they approach, his eyes going down your body before he stops at your feet. “I don’t think the trainers quite go with the look, Diesel.”
“You try driving in stilettos, then we’ll talk.” You’re wearing a tight black cocktail dress, heavily applied make-up with bright pink lipstick, your hair is in soft curls and on your feet are comfy black and white trainers. You head to the back of the limo and open up the trunk and sit down, removing your trainers and removing a pair of high heel shoes to put on. Rei and Kazuki join you and place their bags in the trunk before you pass Rei a chauffeur’s hat. “To complete your look.”
“Why am I the chauffer again?” He mumbles.
“Sorry, you don’t just scream rich asshole to me as much as blondie does right now.” You wink, getting to your feet before retrieving a small clutch bag. “I mean, look at him.”
“You do know this is my own suit, right?” Kazuki raises an eyebrow.
“And I stand by it. We ready?” You slam the trunk shut and chuck Rei the keys.
Rei sighs. “Let’s get this part over with.” He goes to open the driver’s door when you clear your throat loudly.
“Baby, where did you get this one from?” You stomp your foot as you ask in a whiny voice. “He’s not even going to open the door for me and I just had my nails done. Tell me, do these look like the nails of someone who does manual labour?”
“I’m sorry, darling,” Kazuki joins in, sliding an arm around your waist. “He’ll learn. Ahem.” He looks pointedly at Rei.
Rei stares for a moment at the pair of you in disbelief, before scowling even more and opening the door for you. “After you, ma’am.”
“Much better.” You smirk and slide into the back of the limo, Kazuki following after. Rei slams the door shut a little heavy, but you’ll give him a pass. You’d left the partition between the driver and passenger areas down so you watch him get situated before he starts the engine and begins the drive to the dealership.
You open your clutch, pulling out a spray bottle. You spray it into your mouth and wince at the taste, before you liberally spray yourself and then Kazuki.
“What is that?” He flinches back from your assault.
“Vodka. They need to think we’re wasted. Open your mouth.” You order and he reluctantly opens, also wincing when it hits the back of his throat.
“What is that – paint stripper?”
“It was the most potent stuff I had in the cupboard.” You shrug, putting it back in your clutch.
“Potent’s the word for it. Ugh.” Kazuki groans.
“Tell us when we’re a few minutes out, okay?” You direct towards Rei.
He grunts in response.
The dealership is about 20 minutes away and you’re not one for idle chit-chat so the ride passes in relative silence until Rei lets you know you’re four minutes away.
“And we all remember the plan and back-up plan?”
“Yes,” Kazuki and Rei chorus.
“Good.” You press the button on the divider between the front and back and it slides up, obscuring Rei’s view before you grab Kazuki by his ascot and push him down on the seats and straddle him. He looks alarmed for a moment – had he forgotten this bit? But then he pulls you down and starts to kiss your neck, moving up to your jaw and then, finally, your lips.
You bite gently at his lip in response and he moans, allowing you to slip your tongue into his mouth. He feels good. You run your hands through his hair, ruffling it up, before your fingers work on the first couple of his shirt buttons and you slip a hand against his muscular chest.
One of his hands is now in your hair, the other on your ass, your dress riding up. Kazuki’s a surprisingly good kisser and it’s getting a little heavier than you intended, but, hey, you’re not complaining…
Suddenly, the door is opened and Kazuki’s head falls out, breathless and his mouth smudged with your pink lipstick. Rei has the usual expressionless look upon his face, but the dealership associate besides him looks quite shell-shocked by the scene they seem to have interrupted.
“Apologies, sir,” Rei breaks the silence, “but we’ve arrived.”
You giggle, crawling back off Kazuki’s chest and allowing him to sit up. He nods to Rei before stumbling out the car. You see the associate’s nose twitch at the vodka cologne you’d concocted – perfect.
Kazuki offers his hand back to you and you take it, stepping out the car with a little more grace – or as much as you can when your dress is riding up dangerously high. You wink at the associate as you shimmy it down and he looks flustered before attempting to compose himself.
“Good morning, it is a great honor to have you here.” He bows. “What can I help you with today?”
“Well, baby said he’s gonna buy me a car!” You pull at Kazuki’s arm. “I crashed the last one but I promise to be much more careful this time.”
“Anything for my honey,” Kazuki drawls back.
“I want a big one.”
“I’m sure we can find something suitable for the lady’s tastes, sir, if you’d follow me.” He gestures towards the showroom.
“Great. We’ll call for you when we’re ready.” Kazuki says to Rei.
“Very good, sir.” Rei nods, before shutting the passenger door and heading back to the driver’s seat. You lean heavily on Kazuki’s arm as the associate leads you into the showroom, leading you to a plush sofa surrounded by outrageously expensive cars. There’s a table covered with brochures and he makes you both a coffee while he encourages you to pursue the catalogues.
As he returns, you make a show of haphazardly flicking through the pages and pouting. “No, all these cars suck. I thought you said this place was exclusive, baby.”
“What’s wrong with them?”
“I want something big, powerful and indestructable...” You shift your legs on the sofa, aware that your dress is riding up again from the associate’s flush face.
“Don’t you have anything better? Price is no barrier for my darling girl.” Kazuki directs at the associate.
“Er, well, we do have an exclusive just arrived, for certain clientele…” Kazuki glares at him. “I can show you, if you’re interested. It’s, er…” He looks around but there’s no-one else in the show room. “..army spec.”
“I wanna see!” You demand.
“And you will, sweetheart,” Kazuki squeezes your thigh. “Show us.”
“Okay. This way, please.” He gets to his feet and leads you out the back, picking up a key on the way from a lockbox behind the desk. In the back there’s a non-descript car – much like a jeep.
“Now, I know it doesn’t look much, but that’s the beauty of it. It’s fast and strong – bullet-proof, even…”
“Bullet-proof, baby!” You tug at Kazuki’s arm. “Surely that means I can’t wreck it. I wanna sit in the front.”
“You heard the lady.” Kazuki directs to the associate, snapping his fingers. The man fumbles with the keys and you hear it unlock. You clap your hands giddily and open the door before clambering up. You’re sure you flash both Kazuki and the associate as you situate yourself in the steering wheel, chucking your clutch bag on the passenger seat.
“How does it feel, sweetheart?”
“So good, baby. I love it. Give me the keys.” You hold your hand expectantly out to the associate.
“I… I’m sorry, ma’am. I can’t…” He sounds flustered. “We don’t permit test drives when, er, people have been drinking.”
“Oh…” You frown. “Fine. But I still want it! Baby, I can have it, right? You’ll buy it for me? I really want this one.”
“Okay, okay, anything for you.” He turns back to the associate. “Can you tell me more about the specs? I want my darling safe as possible.”
You use the distraction to shut the driver’s door. The associate gives you a look but with the keys firmly in hand, he knows you’re not off anywhere soon. Kazuki points towards the back rims, moving them out of eyesight of you for a few moments. You remove the stilettos, throwing them into the passenger footwell and pick up your clutch bag. Opening it, you remove a screwdriver and pliers and pop open the electronics console under the steering wheel, disabling the alarm before it can even beep. Kazuki and the associate are still chatting as you work on setting it for the hot-wire. It’s a little difficult in newer cars as they’re always improving the technology but with army specs, you know they don’t go as hard on the security - it wouldn’t be ideal to strand your soldiers if they lost their car keys – so you’re pretty confident when you put twist the two wires you’ve cut together the engine will roar to life.
You lean over and open the passenger door. “Baby, come sit with me! I’m lonely…”
Kazuki nods. “Can you go and get things organised for the wire transfer? I can’t keep my girl waiting.” The associate nods and heads back towards the office.
Kazuki gets in and once the associate disappears from view, he clicks in his seatbelt. You follow suit before feeling under the steering wheel and twisting the wires together. The engine starts to your delight and without hesitation, you accelerate furiously into the gates – the metal crumpling in the vehicle’s path.
“They weren’t lying, this thing is strong.”
In the rear-view mirror, you see the associate run out of the office, stunned.
--
Rei is waiting in the limousine at the rendezvous point – a plot of land near the hit’s house, making sure he didn’t head up into the country earlier than they’d been informed. As you park the beast of a car, you turn to the blonde.
“Can you grab my trainers out the limo?”
Kazuki nods and hops out to greet Rei, before retrieving your shoes. He brings them over to the driver’s side as you open the door and he presents them to you with a flourish.
“Your slippers, Cinderella.”
“Thank you, my prince,” you winked and put them on quickly before jumping down. “Any movement?”
“No, he’s still there.”
“Great.” You dug around your clutch bag again for the screwdriver before setting to work on removing the registration plates on the stolen car. The two assassins are having a hushed conversation as you work but you catch an odd word here and there – one that sounds like daycare? - but, honestly, you couldn’t care less and concentrate on your work. After the plates are off, you pick up the jerrycan you’d filled earlier that morning. You didn’t know exactly how much it would have in the tank at the dealership. It wouldn’t be wise to steal the thing and then stop for gas.
Kazuki slipped into the back of the limo with his duffel bag and emerged in a jumper and jean combo as Rei packed the plates into the back of the car. The plan was to ditch them in the river later. After you’d sorted the car, you dug out a baggy jumper to throw over the dress. It was still probably too short but at least you looked more casual in the jumper and trainers than you had just stumbled out of the nightclub. Checking the trunk was now empty, you shut it and left the keys behind the sun visor – your friend would be retrieving it later this afternoon.
The three of you sat in the car. Kazuki in the front seat with you and Rei in the back. You drummed your fingers on the steering wheel as Kazuki kept an eye on the front of the hit’s house with binoculars.
“We’re on.” He commented, as he caught sight of the target heading towards a very expensive-looking sports car. “Ready?”
“Always, blondie.” You winked, turning on the engine. You watched as the man reversed out of the driveway and headed towards the expressway, before you followed at distance. You weaved in and out of traffic easily, keeping him in sight the entire time.
“He’s getting a bit far away, isn’t he?” Kazuki questioned.
“Oh, no!” You replied sarcastically, maintaining your speed. “Sorry, I thought you hired me to drive. Wanna switch?” That shut him up pretty quick.
After about half an hour, the traffic had thinned out as you hit the coastal path. The target took advantage of the empty roads to really put his foot down and you followed suit. The car was heavy all right but the engine really packed a punch and it was super responsive to every steering tweak you made. You were near the suggested spot – a notorious point where people had driven off the road due reckless speed and the way the road zig-zagged – not a good combination but perfect for your intentions. You’d slowly been catching up with him and it became clear he’d noticed as when you were about a car length’s behind the bastard brake-checked. You weren’t a novice behind the wheel though and it gave you the perfect opportunity to move over into the other lane – thankfully clear of opposing traffic. As you began to become parallel with the target, you leaned over, “Blondie, might wanna hop in the back now and go behind the driver’s seat with Rei.”
He nods, unclipping his seat belt and climbs into the back seat. You caught Rei’s eyes in the rear-view mirror as he did so, who nods and withdraws his gun. You’d agreed the other day that if things did go well and truly south and the target pulled a weapon on you that Rei would intervene.
You look through the passenger window and see the man in question. He’s laughing, enjoying the race, it seems. Probably thinks your car is too chunky to match his. Too bad. You jerk the steering wheel to the left and the two collide, sending his vehicle bouncing off to the dirt on the side of the road. His carefree face turns to one of confusion, then panic as he struggles to control the machine as he tries to steer back to the tarmac. He then tries to brake but you match the speed perfectly, ramming him in the side again. His car begins to spin out of control, you ease off your acceleration as it rotates back into the road, before you hit the gas again and get alongside him, giving one last hard shunt and the car goes spinning off the edge, down into the chasm below. You slam on the brakes and yank up the handbrake, bringing the car to a complete stop without losing control. As you go to exit the car, a huge fireball erupts from below the cliff in a flash, before settling back down. The three of you exit and look down to find nothing but flames.
“Well, I’d call that a success.”
“Mm.” Rei nods.
Suddenly, you find yourself yanked up off the ground and you’re being crushed in Kazuki’s arms.
“Blondie!” You protest, as his embrace threatens to squeeze the air out of your lungs.
“I’m sorry, it’s just been so long since one of my plans has gone the right way!”
“Gee, thanks.” You retort as he puts you down, sheepishly. “So glad you believed in me.”
You turn back to get in the car, missing when Kazuki and Rei share a knowing look. Rei beats you to the driver’s seat, cutting in front of you. “I’m driving.”
“Uh, excuse me?” You frown, but the blonde man takes your hand, tugging you towards the back seat.
“I thought we could go over part one on the plan again, baby,” Kazuki smirks. “Rei drives and…”
“Oh.” You catch on and hop up into the back seat, sliding in so he can follow you. “I guess it wouldn’t hurt to practice some more, in case there’s a next time.”
“Yeah, next time.” Kazuki agrees, before crushing his lips into yours.
Rei wishes this car had a partition.

Todo-Orgy Snow Bunny Family Meeting 2
You briefly glanced at the nearest window and must not of been too subtle about it, because immediately Natsuo easily lifted you up and into his arms, holding you close and securely. You weren’t going to escape unless you fought your mate and you didn’t want to do that, to hurt him, no matter how something inside you screamed to “run”. Besides, the comfort his touch held was really needed right now, even if something bad was to soon follow it.
…you really hoped nothing bad was about to happen. Please, nothing bad!
“You’re shaking!” Natsuo stated in surprise as you trembled in his form. “What’s wrong? Are you feelin—“
“Did I mess up?” You couldn’t help but blurt out in an interruption, fidgeting in the hold of your largest mate (in some ways, at least). You worried your bottom lip, biting it as you wildly looked around from face to face.
Shock and concern. Everyone looked and smelt strongly of their surprise at your question and worry as their eyes assessed you. It was Fuyumi who spoke up, moving from the loveseat to on the couch next to Natsu. She began to run her hand through your hair, trying to calm you.
“What do you mean, Bunny? Talk to us, please.”
And you did, gripping ahold of the arm of Natsuo’s jacket as you spoke. You told them the whys behind your question and explained a little. Everyone let out a little exhale and their scents turned to reliefguiltprotect.
“No, babe, you’re not in trouble. C’mere,”Touya spoke, making a slight grabbing motion towards you that had you wiggling out of Natsuo’s loosening arms and into his. He settled you down, pressing a light kiss to your lips and another to your head as he made sure you were comfortable, laying against him, chin resting to his chest. He also ignored the little looks that you didn’t even see him receive for stealing you away. “We have something important to talk about, kinda serious but not anything bad.”
“Serious, but not bad,” you tasted the words as you spoke them, brow furrowing in confusion. Usually the two words went together. You had no idea what would cause them not to, but soon your other mate fixed that without even realizing.
“Yes. Are you okay with being impregnated by us?” Shōto, blunt as usual, got to the heart of the matter.
“…children?”, you asked in surprise and wonder, ignoring the punch Natsuo gave to his little brother’s arm — There was a reason that Shōto wasn’t often asked to start off important, delicate conversations. But, children! Kits! You turned over the words around and around in your head in quiet awe.
Touya inhaled deep and sighed with the exasperation only an elder sibling can produce. “You’re ours, we don’t want—“
“Can’t imagine,”Fuyumi quietly added, to Touya’s nod as he kept talking.
“—having anyone else in our lives. Not now, not later on, not when Shōto finally learns social graces. You’re it. You’re our girlfriend, mate, partner, whatever. For life.”
“And, well, we know you’ve talked about how you always wanted kids someday,” Natsuo took over, scratching the back of his head as he spoke. He smiled reassuringly, hopefully. “We do, too. All of us, actually, want kids. And we want them with you, which would be a lot on you and s—“
“Yes!”
You couldn’t help it. You had started to wiggle so much you were practically vibrating in Touya’s lap, causing him to tighten his grip on you, just a bit, eyes sparkling and the tail tip of your succubus traits hitting the cushion behind you in a happy wagging motion. Your mates! They wanted kits with you! They wanted you to have their kits!
“Whoa!” Touya gave a quick, surprised laugh at how suddenly you became excited to such a degree — he made a mental note to find a way to recreate you moving like this in the bedroom — and reluctantly loosens his grip so you could move more. Which you did by surging up to kiss him deeply before bouncing over to do the same to Shōto, who was nearest, then over to Natsuo and finally spinning around in nearly a full circle to slip into Fuyumi’s lap, straddling her in glee.
Fuyumi. Your girlfriend, your mate, partner, Mistress… and the only one who’s kids you couldn’t have. You stopped bouncing in her lap and drew back. Looking up into her eyes, you could tell she hadn’t seen a problem and that- that hurt a bit, but was something she probably never thought about so she wouldn’t feel the same. Probably.
She didn’t have the biological instincts and desires that your inherited quirks did. Succubus and Rabbit, both effecting your sexual desires, modestly (which there was a lack thereof) and socially, the relationship aspects. Natsuo had said that everyone wanted kids, but did she ever think of having them herself? A partner who could give her that one way or another?
Her eyes searched your frame, tone as concerned as the others looked at your excitement that had quickly waned. “Bunny?”
You smiled weakly, a sadly wistful look in your eyes and yearning tone in your voice. “…I wanna have your kits, too, Fuyumi. I wish I could. I wish I was good enough to be able to give you that.”
The sole Todoroki daughter (officially, so far (much to Mama Rei’s chagrin)) widened her eyes at the statement. It squeezed at her heart tightly, her heart that was already fit to burst with the love she felt for their Snow Bunny. Their Snow Bunny that was so excited by the question and happily included all her mates equally like she always did, with the thought of doing otherwise never even entering her mind, despite that her brothers would be the only ones providing her what she needed to become pregnant. She would be okay with being the cool Aunt to them instead of another mom because it might be too confusing for the babies, toddlers to separate everyone like that. But… what if…
Hmm. She had the beginnings of an idea stirring.
…but it could wait. Her little Snow Bunny needed reassurances and quickly getting to her feet, she set the other down to walk in front of her, pushing her ahead gently yet firmly, in a way that spoke that if she could teleport the two would already be there so.
“Wha—“
“Hey!”
“‘Yumi, we weren’t done!”
Fuyumi threw a look over her shoulder. “Details later. I’ve got a girlfriend in need of reassurance — or do you have a problem with that?”, she asked. Not that she stopped moving long enough to hear an answer, but the implied threat in her words has the others waving her off. Well, Touya and Natsuo waving her off, while keeping ahold of Shōto’s shirt so they could explain why going against Fuyumi when she was using that tone was not something he wanted to do. Ever.
“Yumi, I—“
“—am perfect as you are, which I’m going to prove to you.”
“Bu—“
“Shush!”
You both reached her room in little time and before you could even say another thing, Fuyumi was on you, kissing you deeply as she multitasked by unbuttoning your shirt and stepping out of her own skirt. It took even less time than the walk over for her to strip you completely, hands cupping your breasts, thumbs brushing over your nipples, helping to draw out a moan that allowed her tongue to slip into your mouth, easily dominating. You’re not sure when you reached the bed nor when you both climbed into it or when she took her rightful place her atop you, but you certainly felt such a hand reached lower and fingers played with you, pinching your clit and making you buck your hips in response.
You both came up for air as you gasped from the sensation. “F-fuyumiiIIIII!”,you moaned as she gave your clit another pinch and then leaned forward, pressing you into the mattress, demeanor switching. You moaned again as you felt her breasts rub and press against yours. The stimulation from that alone could of sent you over the edge if things in the air hadn’t just changed.

tw: blood, slight gore : @genshin-rei for the bootiful art
Behind lidded eyes, he relishes on a time when his wings that of an adepti beast carries beauty and elegance as he engulfs you in his arms. Wherever you are in Guyun, eyes distant and gazing the passing clouds with Ganyu, he always manages to find you.
The way you perk up at the sound of his descension before you even gaze at him, how your hands find its way on his arms as he offers a hug from behind, how every bit of worry leaves your body the moment you lay back on his broad chest. Moments like these are what he looks forward to the most. For when you are in his arms the world around you is forgotten, the waging war and looming death does not touch the tranquility when you two are together.
You are a simple adepti that serves to aid the main protectors of Liyue. He's a junior to the Yakshas. Perhaps in a sense you two do seem to have duties in common, and was fairly certainly the main reason you two got together.
Your song and dance of battle were still graced as one of the elegant devotions on protecting Liyue, sometimes red spills on the snow from a crane’s razor sharp wings, foes slain taller than your form as the snowflakes swirls with both of your movements. This was the time during the Archon War, and when the gods have fallen, it was a time of great celebration and relief. At least that was what he hoped.
When he opens his eyes, Pervases is met with more darkness as the looming clouds chases the light of day. The pain had already passed and turned into nothing but an aching numbness, the spear struck through his chest also embedded itself on the boulder he had his back rested on. “Perv...ases?” The urge to inhale deeply passes him, but he only winces as the fresh wound seem to widen more. With a breathless scoff he drops his head at the feeling of touch on his hand, another smaller hand managed to reach his pinky, and the moon reflects the onyx band wrapped around both’s ring fingers.
“My dear, how do you feel?” Pervases chances a glance at your laid form and he feels the tears prick at the edges of his eyes once again. A huge splatter of blood colors the ground beneath you like a veil of gore, the bottom half of your body is hidden by the boulder he was stuck to as well, pulverized and unsalvageable. You wouldn’t be able to dance with him anymore. “Dearest?”
You turn your head to finally face him, half of it drenched with the sickening color as you rested your cheek on the bloodied dirt. You’re struggling to focus from all the blood loss, Pervases figures at the way your eyes seem to unfocus from time to time. Yet you still managed to smile. “Do you still remember our wedding vows?”
“With this hand I will lift your sorrows.” How he wishes to intertwine your fingers right now, to share the last bit of warmth.
“Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine.” So instead he musters up the brightest smile he could, like how you’ve always wanted.
“With this candle, I will light your way into darkness.” Your eyes rapidly blink, squinting, before finally closing after your efforts.
“With this...ring, I ask you... to... be...”
“You got this... dearest. T-To be?” Despite how long you two had been there, Pervases right now is wide awake more than ever. Carefully watching your face, every detail, every wrinkle on your skin. A twitch under your left eye that shows a twinge of pain reaches his stare. “It’s to be mine.”
“To be mine...” The way your eyelids felt to have dragged itself open pains him more than the spear through him, battling the call of death to gaze up at him with a bloodied smile. “By wave and storm, we protect those we love.”
“By wind and snow, we cherish what we have.” Pervases finds his eyes glued to the wedding ring you two adorned, smooth and beveled to fashion a black diamond within the jade band. It was more oriental than cosmetic to keep up with your duties, “I love you.”
