Hai! Thank you to everyone who reached out during my little break! I’m slowly getting caught up on things as well as queuing up gp posts I had on pause. I do have a medical update but I’ll slap that under the cut! I hope everyone is doing well and taking care of themselves <3

Oke so. Lore drop. Over the last year or so, I’ve lost about 30 pounds without having to try. I’ve had issues with digestion in the past so I assumed this was just a flare up but then it started getting to the point where I’m in a lot of pain coupled with a bunch of other symptoms. As of right now, I’m being tested for different autoimmune diseases and I have a few procedures I’m a bit nervous for but yea! Hopefully I’m able to find some answers because dealing with this has truly halted my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Again thank you if you have read this far, here is a picture:

"Can you pass me the sugar, sweetheart?"

Conan's voice easily melds with the soft melody playing from the radio, but you somehow manage to hear him just fine. With a hum of acknowledgement, you leave the cake batter in Conan's care, take a cursory glance at all the ingredients scattered about on the table, and look for the rogue bag of sugar you were certain you pulled from the shelf earlier. Once you find it hidden amongst the flour and eggs, you place it within Conan's reach... before an idea comes to your mind.

With a mischievous grin blooming on your face, you casually lean over and plant a kiss on Conan's cheek. His reaction is almost instantaneous; it barely takes three seconds before the look of surprise forms on his face as the redhead turns towards you, slips a hand around your waist, and happily returns the favour.

"Cheeky," He murmurs, "You know that wasn't what I meant."

His other hand slips into your own grasp in an innocent gesture, and soon enough, you both find yourselves gently swaying to the music. The scruff of Conan's stubble tickles your forehead when he draws near, but you don't seem to mind it that much when he's pressing soft, butterfly kisses against it in a silent apology.

"...It's not often we get a quiet moment to ourselves like this."

"Mm."

Resting your head against his chest now, you listen to Conan's heartbeat as he continues to sway you back and forth in a soft lull. The gentle thrums emitting from his chest almost sync up with the romantic music as you both sway to the beat, but the tender moment comes to an end once the melody begins to fade out.

With a sigh, you glance up at the redhead and give him a soft look.

"We should finish baking Alice's birthday cake first." A playful nudge from your hip coerces Conan back to his original spot by the kitchen island — but not before he places one last kiss atop your head. "Are you done with the sugar?"

Your lover steals the air from your lungs by leaning down and placing one final kiss against your lips this time.

"...Now I am."

Its been a while since I've put out one of these huh? I'm still working on them I promise, they're just going to be a little shorter than the ones at the start (between 200/300 words now) and I'll be queuing them out instead mostly because I'd like to have these done so I can open normal requests now - there are going to be a few more legend ones though <3 also for my own sanity they won't have the same banners anymore because the winter theme is honestly not that fitting anymore

“Hmh? Where is this coming from link? And how are you so drunk, I swear you’ve had the same amount as me.”

Maybe I shouldn’t take this for granted, it’s the first time he’s opened up like this as well as my best shot at learning more about what it all was like for him in there. If he’s willing to ramble and a bit of drinking is all it takes to loosen up those words? Well I can just pour him another drink or two, no harm right?

“Relivin-ng everything over and over out - out of order, all of m’ quests. Thought you were tryina drive m’ insane.”

“But then I - I started hearing y’u. You - you were so gen’tle I -”

The second he started swaying it felt almost natural to tug him into my side and let him rest his head on my shoulder like he was an old friend. Not that he isn’t I suppose, from what he’s saying and how many games I’ve played we might as well be. Being so wrapped up in how I felt about all of this going on, I didn’t even consider the impacts on him that he’s been dealing with, after everything that happened with koholint. It’s not surprising he’s struggling when he’s had to go through someone he deeply cared about being entirely fictional. 

“I-I’ felt like I was real hic I- I could hear som’one real.”

“It were like- like I- I had  - It was I.”

Anything coherent is completely gone now, with him bawling into my side. It’s hard to tell if he’s struggling to talk from the tears or how drunk he is now. Not like it would really make a difference.
