Hobby journal : I spent the last few sessions freehanding everything. I did the shield and started the horse fabric (need to learn some vocab lol). I hesitate a lot about whether doing some purple layer in the blue shadow and orange for yellow or not . I'll make some tests later, when everything will be clean.

My friends and I were clowning on Augustine's ridiculous orange socks which are SO WEIRD on his design since the rest of it doesn't use orange when it struck me...

Oh my god these two grown ass men are at the "stealing each other's socks" phase in their relationship.

They're so fruity please help they couldn't be fucking normal and steal each other's shirts noooooo they HAD to steal the SOCKS!! I'm sure Lysander's socks are blue!!!

Fit(ted) for a king! Two unicorns support the coat of arms of the king of France in this manuscript of Jacopo d'Angelo's Latin translation of Ptolemy's Cosmographia. This manuscript was originally made in Ghent for Louis de Bruges, lord of La Gruthuyse by the talented scribe Johannes de Krieckenborch. It later came into the possession of King Louis XII, and Jean Perréal modified some portraits and the coat of arms so to make them Louis's.

Here's a portrait of another under-appreciated male character in Escaflowne - Chesta the Dragonslayer.

  Chesta (spelled Shesta in some translations) is one of Dilandau's team of elite Guymelef pilots. He is an innocent and cheerful youth with an authentic Mediaeval hairstyle who is very loyal to his comrades and Dilandau. I've noticed when in danger Dilandau often calls out for lil’ Chesta's help, showing the two have a strong bond. This sweet kid unfortunately fights for the evil Zaibach empire.
