Tag Game
Tagged by @vaysh11, who I feel like I've known forever but it was still fun to learn a bit more.
Rules: answer + tag 9 people you want to get to know better and/or catch up with!
Favorite Color: any dark rich color. Forest green or maroon would probably lead the list.
Last Song: "Whistle" by Flo Rida. Definitely more risque than I'd usually choose, but I needed a wakeup mix on Pandora this morning.
Last Movie: Nothing recently. Probably Dune 2 in the theatres 3-4 weeks ago? But I have been re-listening to the 1981 BBC Lord of the Rings radio dramatization, which hopefully counts.
Currently reading: Brent Spiner's Fan-Fiction. Frankly the concept is much better than the execution, but the concept alone is still fun enough to be worth reading.
Currently watching: Call the Midwife
Currently Craving: sliced oranges
Coffee or Tea: iced sweet tea
Tagging: I'm always shy about tagging because I don't want to put anyone on the spot and never have a good feel for who likes doing these kinds of things. But if you're seeing this I'd love to see your answers.

10 Facts about Andreas "TIX" Haukeland from Norway:
Tumblr media
article from wiwiblogs
01: International song writer:
As well as being a performer in his own right, TIX is also an established songwriter for other artists. Most famously, he was part of the team behind American singer Ava Max’s hit 2018 single “Sweet But Psycho”. TIX also co-wrote Flo Rida’s sporty 2017 single “Game Time”.
02: Tourette syndrome:
Otherwise known as Andreas Haukeland, TIX has been open about having Tourette syndrome and OCD. His stage name comes from a childhood nickname that referenced the involuntary tic movements he experiences as part of Tourette syndrome. It’s also why he wears his trademark sunglasses — to help disguise the tic movements he sometimes experiences with his eyes. Being open about his Tourette syndrome and OCD has also been helpful for his fans dealing with similar issues. TIX said, “Even if I only get one message from a parent saying their child is doing better because of me, I know I’m doing something right.”
03: Party Music:
Tumblr media
Anyone who has seen the hit Norwegian teen drama series SKAM will know about Norway’s Russ party culture. TIX got his start in the mid-2010s making music that would be the soundtrack to wild Russ parties. His debut single was the controversial “SJEIKEN 2015”, which sang the dubious praises of drinking heavily and shagging. However, TIX has since reflected a lot on his Russ phase and said he accepts that, in retrospect, he should have “used other words and phrases” in the songs. He also accepts his position as someone with influence, and said “I am now in a position where I can do a lot of good for people through my music and message – that is what I intend to focus on in the future.”
04: Paradise Hotel:
In 2019, TIX was a VIP participant in the Norwegian edition of the popular reality romance show Paradise Hotel. He also penned the theme song for that year’s series. The song, “Kaller på deg”, was a hit in Norway and reached No.1 in the singles chart.
Tumblr media
05: Four Number One Singles:
TIX hit No.1 in the Norwegian singles chart in 2019 with his debut solo single “Jeg vil ikke leve” (I don't wanna live). He has also had No.1 singles with his Paradise Hotel song “Kaller på deg” (Calling for you), his lockdown “Karantene” (Qurantine) and the Norwegian version of his eurovision 2021 song "Ut av mørket" (Fallen Angel).
06: Mental Health Issues:
TIX openly talks about the mental health issues he has faced in recent years. He has spoken about feeling isolated and anxious while hiding behind the confident rock star persona of TIX. But he is determined to no longer hide, being more open in both his music and his public life. TIX recently said, “I made it my mission that instead of trying to fit in, I would put mental health on the agenda”. In turn, TIX has been praised by Norwegian mental health experts for speaking out about his issues.
07: Lucky Dice:
Tumblr media
Viewers may have spotted the giant golden dice TIX wore at the grand final of Melodi Grand Prix. All sides of the dice showed a single dot. This was a reference to the reaction towards TIX from Norwegian music reviewers who had rated “Fallen Angel” only one out of six dice. One reviewer even declared he would “eat TIX’s headband” if the song won MGP. TIX turned the low rating into a piece of bling that brought him good luck. After TIX won Melodi Grand Prix, the critic who bashed him was forced to eat a trademark TIX headband live on TV.
08: Most Streamed artist in Norway 2020:
TIX’s music is super popular in Norway. Last year he was the most-streamed artist in Norway, proving more popular than international pop icons such as The Weeknd, Juice WRLD, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber and Eminem, and fellow Norwegian stars Kygo, Alan Walker and Astrid S. Even Ava Max couldn’t beat the might of TIX!
09: Norwegian Idol:
Tumblr media
Last year, TIX put his expertise as a hitmaker to work and joined the judges’ panel on the Norwegian version of Idol. Sitting alongside Tshawe Baqwa of Madcon and music journalist Silje Larsen Borgan, TIX helped mentor the acts competing in the 11th edition of the popular talent show.
10: Artist of the Year 2020:
In 2021 TIX won The Norwegian Grammy Artist of the Year 2020. After years of work in headwinds among critics, TIX from Norway has been widely praised for his efforts as an artist. His two songs "Karantene" (Qurantine) and his Paradise Hotel song “Kaller på deg” (Calling for you) was nominated for song of the year, and his songs had been streamed more than 70 million times in 2020, making him the most played musician in Norway.

could we get some two face fluff hcs pls? 🥺
Oughh.... this made me... feel things... I adore Harv so fuckin much
Harvey Dent + Fluff HC’s
He likes to get into bed with his s/o and sing to them while they cuddle… his voice is a bit raspy but it’s very nice to the ears.
He can be a big tease whenever he wants to be. If he’s bigger than his s/o, he’ll place their stuff on hard to reach spots just so he can pull it down for them.
Just gonna say it but he loves using pet names for his s/o!! He’s absolutely shameless about it too, shit like “sweetheart” or “cowboy”. He’ll be torturing Batman and without a moment’s hesitation he’ll just stop and say “Hey, Sweetie can you come over here and give daddy his glock??? And a kiss????”
He doesn’t even expect his s/o to call him daddy (he insists that you italicize it) that’s just what he calls himself bc he thinks it’s funny and maybe kinda sexy. He was also fine with calling himself papa bear but it lost the coin toss.
Loooves to sleep in whenever he gets the opportunity. He likes to spoon with his s/o and he kinda drools all over the back of his partner’s neck whenever he’s the big spoon but it’s all good.
He is very!!! Keen!!! On matching outfits with his s/o!!! He loves that shit!!!
Harvey ADORES animals. He loves cats, dogs, pretty much anything tbh. He would keep a horse if he had the time and space. He’s not on the same level as some other rogues are with their animals, but he’s definitely the kind of guy to go “pspspsps” at a friend’s cat, and would furiously pat his thighs until they go over and sit on his lap.
He likes to make playlists for his s/o and they’re really really sweet but HE’S SOOO BAAAD at it. He’ll come over and give his s/o a mixtape and will say something like “I made this for u, pumpkin :) put it on whenever u miss me :) it’s also really good to listen to whenever ur trying to relax in the bath.” and when his s/o puts it on it’s literally just Flo Rida, Ella Fitzgerald, a Gregorian choir, and Korn. there is NO organization in what songs or genre he chooses, but ppl always listen to his entire playlists because they genuinely have no fucking idea what he’s crammed into it.

EUROVISION 2021, personal favorites:
- Russia 🇷🇺
Manizha, Russian Woman: Absolute favorite. The sheer originality of the song! Her energy and the level of absolute badassery! She can sing, she can rap,and she's a bomb of energy. The way reggae and brass and hiphop and Slavic melodies overlap and it somehow works, the transitions between fun and "I'm bitter about the sexism and I'm mocking it unapologetically and making a stand" and the anthemic, emphatic and powerful message to Russian women; I was swelling with emotion while watching her. While to an American or a Westerner it may seem like performative feminism, I'm gonna remind you that in Russia and other Slavic countries that's very much not a thing and actually a very unpopular stand to make, and in Russia, The Balkans, and Eastern Europe in general, hundreds of women face domestic and sexual abuse on the daily, and those who do come forward rarely get support and are mostly dismissed. Let's not forget that Manizha got a huge backlash from the Russian government officials, and a big part of it was for her Tajik roots. The honesty of her message is real, and she's speaking from personal experience and the experience of women around her - nothing performative about her song, and you can tell from her delivery that the fire within her is true and she leaves her heart on the stage and pours it into the song. The staging and costumes are great as well, and symbolically well thougt-through. I would really like her to win, or at least get to the top 5. Most of all, I hope her message is heard and felt. 10000/10
- Italy 🇮🇹
Måneskin, Zitti e Buoni: definitely the closest thing to my actual music taste this year, so liking them off the bat wasn't a surprise. However, they're not just your regular Franz-Ferdinand-ish young alt rock band that wants to do rock "properly" - they have IT. The X factor, the Je ne sais quoi. I've been exposed to that particular genre, and I can confidently say that the song still manages to be refreshing and original (that bridge, those riffs!) The band has a great energy and no matter how much Damiano steals the show, they are still a unit and nobody is left in the shadows. They have the spirit of great rock bands of the previous century, and yet they don't try to copy anyone (khm,Greta Van Fleet, khm). Damiano's vocals are both powerful, seductive and provoking, and I'm still admiring the sheer amount of emotion he can pack into a single line and the nuance and yet rawness behind it. I'm not gonna state the obvious lol (the obvious being yes, I'm thirsty as well, he becomes yet another unattainable rockstar for me too,and yes they all look great) Anyway, great song, and maybe the clearest and most serious candidate for the number one spot, taking both the jury and the public into consideration. 10/10
- Iceland 🇮🇸
Daði Freyr and Gagnamagnið, 10 years:
What can I say about this masterpiece that hasn't already been said? A clear fan-favorite (hi, Valentina), but with the guns to back it up. The song is contagious, fun and campy, and unlike some other songs with said qualities, actually good from a musical perspective. Daði is incredibly charismatic and his sense of humor shines through, and even though he's the star of the show, the same can be said about the other band members. The synergy Måneskin has can be applied to Gagnamagnið as well, even though the energy is entirely different. They're serving us fun, sunshine, kitties rainbows sugar spice and everything nice, and manage to do it with zero cringe factor (plus those funky keytars). I'm one of those Eurovision fans that lament the golden age's (2004-2009) campiness (We'll never forget you, Verka), and Daði managed to bring it back, but modernised, polished and still sincere. I personally preferred the epic dad joke that slightly more commercial Think About Thing was (but that's one tough act to follow), but I'm always down for a husband adoring his wife and singing praises to their relationship. Since we're on tumblr, I feel obliged to use the term "cinnamon rolls" in describing Daði and the band. 9.5/10
- France 🇫🇷
Barbara Pravi, Voilà: She brought the theatrics, she brought the drama, and she brought the 101 in "that's how you perform". Her personality leaps through, and her voice is both beautiful and full of emotion and power. I'd hire her to star in a serious and artistic movie. Despite the fact that Voilà is from its melody to the singing style to the video to the vibe and the aesthetic hands down the most French thing I've seen since Amélie (do not come for that movie), it miraculously doesn't come across as a cliché, but rather an homage, and an individualistic one at that. It's not entirely my cup of tea, since I'm usually biased to songs that may come off as snobbish (I mean, the jury is going to lap it up), and are all about being proper and technical and oh how ~artistic~, but Barbara puts the soul into the immaculate. I'm not giving her the highest mark because I'm yet to see the performance, but I'm rooting for her. If she delivers the performance, we might have a clear winner. 9/10
- Ukraine 🇺🇦
Go_A, Shum: I'm a sucker for all things ethnic and mytological, so this was a no-brainer. I want that song played at every party. I want to go to the forest in the video and chant and summon the spring with flute and hard-bass. Kateryna Pavlenko has some unexplainable power over me, and her eyes are simply hypnotizing. The vocals are great, proper Slavic ethno right there (seriously, check out Slavic folklore and traditional music), and she has a subtle punk quality too(?). Ukraine came to save the spring and make us forget about the pandemic, and minus the Maruv fiasco (justice for her!), they always deliver and I expected nothing less. On the other hand, I loved the original version much more and couldn't help but be a bit disappointed with the revamp (yes, I know they had to), and while I personally love Shum, I think some other acts are more deserving of the higher placement. Go_A are not my winner, but definitely soon to be in my playlist. 8/10
- San Marino 🇸🇲
Adrenalina, Senhit ft. Flo Rida: You know that golden age of Eurovision I mentioned? THIS. I'm Serbian, so I can't resist a banger reminiscent of our horrible turbo-folk elements (and I say that endearingly, takes me back to 18th birthday parties (boy I'm glad that's over)). Let's just crown Senhit this year's Queen of Camp. The wild factor of Flo Rida...just?? Amazing. Can't wait to see how the performance goes (EDIT- it went great, I had a grin on my face the entire time and couldn't help but dance along). A certain refreshment after Serhat and Valentina Monetta endless loop. They didn't dial down the weird, but made it catchy af, and the vocal can rival any Balkan folk diva. While I think it's definitely the most entertaining entry this year, it's far from being the most original, and it's not really my genre of preference. Will vote for Senhit and root for her to qualify. 7.5/ 10
- Sweden 🇸🇪
Tusse, A million voices: As I mentioned before, I'm the first person that starts complaining about Sweden Superiority as soon as Eurovision season begins, and I'm with you all with being tired of Sweden qualifying just because they're Sweden and usually just bringing the same brand of MTV/Calvin Harris/American pop, or a successful and not-so-subtle imitation of the performances that did well the previous year, but listen: A million voices is a solid pop song and I'm going to die on that hill. It actually embodies the essence of pop - a catchy, pleasant melody sung by a good vocalist, with a short, sweet and uplifting message. It's not the same as previous years, it's not commercial, just good pop - good pop being something you immediately like and vibe to no matter how many common elements of the genre it checks. It relies on RnB rather than electronic sounds, auto tune or various DJ effects. Tusse is charming and charismatic af, and he's a 19yo kid doing an amazing job on a global stage. You don't have to like it, but there's no need to hate on it (ask Jendrik). Imo, Tusse deserved to qualify. Not winner material yet, but I wish him a fun time and a successful career. 7 5/10
- Switzerland 🇨🇭
G'jons Tears, Tout L'Univers: I saw the video first, and I HATED IT. It came across as a Duncan Lawrence-high-art wannabe, something technically perfect, but empty of soul or meaning, another soft boy with a sad falsetto, another jury-points bait. BUT. I changed my mind entirely after seeing him perform. Hands down, it was touching and epic. Reminding me of Hamlet aside, he DELIVERED, and made me love him, and actually enjoy the song. I still think the song is less original than Tusse's voices, but I enjoy the troubadour vibes of the pre-chours. G'jon is absolutely adorable, and I'm not gonna be mad if he wins. 8/10
shout-outs&honorable mentions:
- Serbia 🇷🇸 Yes, some national bias, but I'm proud of our girls. Ever Since we placed 2nd with Željko's Lane, we had that goddamn flute e v e r y year, and the same outdated scenography with a side of extra pathos (I'm sure that ruined Sanja's chances and her otherwise great performance back in 2016.) Finally something fun and actually representative of the music popular here. They looked flawless and the energy was off the charts. Go, Hurricane!
-Finland 🇫🇮 Yes, cheesy and corny and I cut my finger accidentally from watching the video on all the edge, but I'm biased because they're bringing emo and nu-metal back, and that's the music of my early adolescence (hello, Kaulitz brothers and Andy Biersack, hello Gerard Way and Linkin Park) Call me grandma lol
- Malta 🇲🇹 DESTINY CAN SIIIIIIIIING! I wasn't impressed with the song initially, but the performance blew my mind.
- Ireland 🇮🇪 A for effort, and so nice of her to try and give us something unique! While it wasn't good enough to qualify, it was super fun and she seems so nice. Also, we all know that she was out of breath an can sing much better than that. Still wasn't bad.
- Romania 🇷🇴, for being so young and brave enough to put on a show. The nerves got the better of her, but the song itself is good and no doubt she'll do well in the future
- Lithuania 🇱🇹, thanks for the memeries
- Croatia 🇭🇷, Not my cup of tea, but Albina gave a great performance
-Norway 🇳🇴, for embodying the spirit of Eurovision
- North Macedonia 🇲🇰, for the disco chest
- The UK 🇬🇧, for putting some effort
(Might edit later)

Semifinal 2 of Eurovision is coming up. Here is my personal ranking:
Albania: people are sleeping on Karma. I think it's gorgeous and emotional. I'm hoping the juries boost this one a bit because I get the impression that the language barrier is part of the reason fans seem to struggle to connect with this one.
San marino: Adrenalina is fun and funky. Flo Rida or no Rida, Senhit is going to slay the stage, and I have no worries about this one going through
Latvia: another fav of mine that people don't want to acknowledge for some reason. Samanta Tina is really giving us everything with her voice, and the green outfit she picked for her performance is so fun. I really hope she manages to secure a spot in the final, but I do worry.
Finland: we do love to see rock at eurovision. This song has a very nostalgic sound for those of us who were young and angsty in the 2010s. I think Blind Chanel is comfortably in the final.
Serbia: Loco Loco is fun and silly. The ladies of Hurricane all have lovely voices and we know they can nail a choreography while singing. I look forward to seeing this live.
Switzerland: beautiful. I normally dislike when men put a lot of falsetto into their performances as it is rarely as nice a sound as their normal register, but Gjon's Tears really makes it work. The song is very emotional and we can expect to see it in the final.
Estonia: Lucky One is a nice little pop ballad, and while it might not be the most mind blowing song out there, I do like it.
Greece: Apparently this song is getting a lot of buzz, but I have never been a fan of the disco/electronica revival. Last Dance is nice and Stefania's voice is great, but I do prefer Superg!rl and wish she had kept some of that sound for her track for this year.
Poland: Is it generic? Absolutely. But it is nice and exactly what it is advertised to be. This will probably be too low on most people's rankings to quite get the points for qualification but it's a decent enough song by my personal preferences.
Iceland: 10 Years is not at all my genre, but it is quite sweet and also thank fuck they are switching up the outfits a bit for Rotterdam. The group is quirky and fun, and I do expect them to make it.
Austria: I have a hard time connecting with this song as the metaphors are a bit mixed, but Vincent Bueno has an amazing voice and a lot of charisma. This song might eek in and I suppose I can't be mad if it does.
Moldova: Sugar is fun and sexy. I can't exactly put my finger on why the song doesn't work for me, but I just find it a bit meh. The rehearsal footage suggests that it will be pretty fun to watch. This is another on that I won't be mad to see qualify over some of my other picks.
Bulgaria: Victoria's voice is lovely, but this song is so sleepy and a bit fake deep. People really seem to love this one, but I'm a bit bored whenever it's on
Czech republic: the song is fun and light hearted, but some of the word choice rubs me the wrong way.
Denmark: why is this closing the show? It blew right past retro inspired songs like Greece, Lithuania, and Iceland have and went straight to old fashioned. Like, I guess it's fun enough of a sound, and props to the gents for singing in Danish, but this song is gonna tank spectacularly.
Portugal: if I had a nickel for every song about a dutch sex worker this year, I would only have two nickels but it's weird that it happened twice. Memes aside, I find the lead singer's falsetto whiny and grating. The song in itself is pleasant enough, if maybe a bit off color given that I don't know if the woman it is based on consented to his writing it or if she is going to get anything for her life story being broadcast like this. So like, I see why some people do like it, but I am squicked.
Georgia: boring. I forget You exists when my attention hasn't been called to it and I can barely remember the melody when I it has.

survey by --ranboweyes--
1.] What age is your youngest aunt? I have a relative who’s technically my aunt since she’s a cousin of my mom, but she’s like 3 years younger which makes her 18-19ish, I think.
2.] Do you miss someone right now? The only thing I’m missing is the weekend which is quickly ending lol.
3.] What can you see to the Northwest to you? I can see our living room couch.
4.] Do you like bowling? I love bowling. I wish I could do it all the time, only if a session wasn’t so expensive.
5.] Can you pronounce Italian words? I mean I can try saying the words but I know I’m definitely not pronouncing them in the native accent. @justsurveys definitely can though, heh.
6.] Do you prefer black or beige colored jackets? I have more black ones, but I’m not opposed to trying out beige.
7.] Do you own a hoodie? Yes, I’m wearing one right now because it’s pretty chilly tonight.
8.] Do you like roasting marshmallows on a bonfire? I’ve only done this once, which was in like Grade 3 when we had an overnight thingy in school and our teacher planned a bonfire for us. But I’m not a fan of marshmallows at all so the answer to this is no.
9.] Do you like cheesy puffs? No. I prefer other snacks.
10.] What's your name without vowels? Rbyn or Rbn, if we’re counting out the letter y.
11.] How many layers of clothing are you wearing? Just two, which is always the case if I do have to wear more than one layer; I have a shirt under my zipped-up hoodie. I’ve only ever had to wear multiple layers once; it was when we were in Sagada and I had to wear 4 or 5 layers if I didn’t want to shiver to death.
12.] When was the last time you got a takeaway? What did you have? I usually dine in the restaurant altogether or go to the drive-thru, but never takeout. Today, though, I did order a chicken barbecue at Starbucks originally meant to be for dine-in; but I got sad in the middle of my time there so I only had a few bites and brought the rest home. Which I guess technically counts as takeout.
13.] If you could climb any mountain or range which would you chose? Mount Pulag because I’ve heard so much about it and it’d be nice to experience it for myself.
14.] Do you alphabetically arrange anything in your room? What? Nope.
15.] Have you ever visited fat-pie.com? No.
16.] Do you prefer sweet or sour fruits? Sweet.
17.] Do you like Flo Rida? Which song of his? I mean, not really. There are a few songs he’s featured in that I find catchy, like Right Round, but I don’t like like them.
18.] How's your dancing skills? There aren’t any to speak of.
19.] What is your favorite number? I don’t have any. The idea of favorite numbers personally never made sense to me, but I do recognize that they can mean a lot to some people.
20.] Describe your best friend to me? She’s incredibly smart and creative, very motherly and responsible, and always knows the right questions to ask when her friends are troubled and what advice to give.
21.] What is your favorite alcoholic drink? Peach soju, Long Island Iced Tea, Zombie, and tequila are some of my favorites. I’m generally a fan of cocktails though, and I love it whenever bars have their own lineup because it lets me see how creative they get and because it also allows me to try their own spin on mixed drinks.
22.] Do you do any sports or have you done any sport professionally? I play table tennis, but I never played professionally or had formal training. It was a club I joined in middle school just because Angela dragged me but I ended up enjoying it, so I played and played until I unconsciously got better.
23.] What is your ringtone? Just the default Apple ringtones; I never changed them.
24.] Do you like chili flavored chips/crisps? Sure! Chili peanuts are great, too.
25.] Do you curl or straighten your hair? I don’t do either with my hair unless I’m headed to a special/fancy occasion.
26.] What's the nicest smell of shampoo? We used to have this brand that housed black shampoo and it smelled super elegant and nice, but I have no idea how to describe the scent.
27.] What smell turns you on? How about turns you off? It’s generally a turn-on when people make an effort to smell nice, e.g. applying perfume several times a day. BO and the smell of the sun are my main turn-offs.
28.] Whose your favorite comedian? I’ve only been able to watch a couple of her skits but Sindhu Vee is pretty high up on my list. I’m not really too big on comedians, though.
29.] RnB or Reggae? R&B, by a mile.
30.] What brand of batteries do you usually get? I/We haven’t had to use batteries in such a long time.
31.] Are any of your friends pregnant or have kids? A good number of people from my high school now have kids, but I don’t consider any of them friends.
32.] What is in your medicine cabinet? We don’t have one since no one in the family needs to regularly take meds. We do have a jar in the kitchen for multivitamins that my parents take every night.
33.] What's your favorite aspect of the natural world? The ocean. < I’d say so too. Mountain ranges are also beautiful.
34.] What's your favorite man made thing? Probs the internet.
35.] Can you whistle properly? Yasss.
36.] What song do you think is the most widely heard in the world? Happy Birthday or some Christmas jingle.
37.] Where's the strangest place a fast food restaurant was located? I mean...I think fast food restaurants are ubiquitous by nature, so I’ve never seen one and went, “That’s not supposed to be there,” lol. Whenever I spot a fast food restaurant, I’m usually able to make out the reasoning behind positioning it wherever it happens to be.
38.] What countries surround your country? Or are you not land locked? We’re an archipelago, so. Not land-locked. But the nearest countries are Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Indonesia.
39.] Do you own binoculars or nonoculars? What do you use them for? I don’t own either.
40.] Do you ever wish you had a telescope on the roof or attic to stargaze? I have always wanted one, yeah. I’ve always dreamed of placing it in my future living room, though.
41.] What's your favorite chocolate bar? Not a bar, but I like Reese’s peanut butter cups the most.
42.] Do you fall asleep easy in cars? How about planes, trains and boats? Unless I am extremely tired, it’s usually hard for me to fall asleep while in transport.
43.] Would you rather live a year of your life in every major country or stay in the same place you live forever without vacations? The latter sounds like an unfulfilling life to me, to be honest. Like I can’t even take vacations??? As much as I like routine, I do enjoy a bit of spontaneity and I think moving to a new country every year can do that for me.
44.] What will you not tolerate in a person? Someone who will make you feel stupid for asking a question. Also those who always have something mean to say about everyone.
45.] Do you forgive others easier or yourself? Why is this? Forgiving isn’t really in my vocabulary to be honest. Hahaha. I’ve always been more at peace this way.
46.] How was God made, if he exists? Key word here is if, so I’m skipping this question because it’s irrelevant to me.
47.] Have you ever done aqua aerobics or polo? Yeah we had to do a bit of water polo in swimming classes in high school.
48.] What age were you when you learned how to swim? I guess around 2? I have baby photos from when I was that age wherein I was having fun in our old inflatable pool. Swimming came naturally to me and I don’t think I ever had trouble with the water.
49.] What shows or characters scared you as a child? You know how older cartoons only featured the legs of some characters, like the housemaid in Tom & Jerry or the lady from Powerpuff Girls? The uncertainty of those characters always made me feel unsettled as a kid.
50.] Do you stay up all night on New Years Eve/Day or go to bed after 12am? I always go to bed well after 12 AM since my family usually holds a get-together for it.
51.] What's currently in your fridge? Some leftovers, some vegetables, essentials like bread and eggs, some condiments that need to be kept refrigerated.
52.] How about your freezer? Frozen goods like hotdogs and ham.
53.] What could you be doing now that is more productive? I should be working out but I’m skipping it for tonight because I hate Sundays, and I don’t want to make myself more tired than I already am.
54.] Give me some lyrics from the song that's stuck in your head? “Red lights, stop signs, I still see your face in the white cars, front yards...”
55.] What's your favorite type of firework? The grander the design the better for me, tbh.

AMIR
It was Tuesday evening and just coming back from rehearsal for Santino’s. We were on a mission at the mall to find something for her for her first gig at the club on Saturday night. We literally went everywhere and still nothing. V stood in the middle of the last store and said “this is stupid. Babe, can we try again tomorrow?” I held her from the back and rested my chin on her head. “Yeah. But we got work on another song for the performance on Friday and Saturday.” We walked out, hand in hand and she said “ugh. I can already feel my anxiety comin’.” I rolled my eyes at her when we got to the car. We both got in and were off. Alicia Keys’ “Unthinkable” came on and V was singing along. I had my hand on her thigh and bopping my head to the beat. She held my arm as she lied her head on it with both of hers. She looked up with those damn eyes; I kissed her forehead and can feel her grip tighten. “Amir, I was wonderin’.” She stopped then started again. “In high school, at the last game, what did that one guy say to you?” “What guy, V?” She rested her chin on my shoulder. “That one football player you almost killed.” I looked at her shrugged. “Shit, that was so long ago.”
We got home, got in the studio and I just stared at my laptop while she sat beside me with her notebook for hours, gettin’ frustrated. “Amir, we got get something. RJ said we need some pop dancey shit.” I rubbed my face and said “ I know, V.” Veronica stood and paced the floor as I played with some keys. She came back and got the keyboard finding a beat.  She stood and started humming something. V began cracking her neck as she was trying to concentrate. “You good, V?” She rubbed her temple and I took her wrist kissing it. “We can try early tomorrow morning. We don’t have to get something right now.” Veronica shook her head and said “Mir, we gotta come up with something by Thursday. Cassidy needs one more song for our performance.”
I heard sniffling and when I turned, she was breathing heavy and tears were falling. “I can’t do this, Amir.” I turned my chair and sat her in my lap. “Do what?” “If this is what being a performer is, then I can’t do it.” I wiped her tears and held her close. “I’m not letting you give up. I wouldn’t be a real man if I did let you. You think it’s easy making music? I remember when I got my first project. I had to create twelve beats for an artist in 48 hours. I was stressed out like a muthafucka but I did it in 24 hours. If I can do that then we, together, can make a track in in less and send them by Wednesday night.” I wiped her tears and gave her a kiss. “You think we can do it?” I nodded and said “hell ya. We got it, baby.” I rubbed her thigh and looked her in the eyes. “Veronica, I believe you will be big one day and we will get you up there with Bey and Rih, aight?” She chuckled and kissed me again. She pressed her forehead against mine and I said...

VERONICA
“I care about you, V.” I couldn’t help myself but kiss him while taking his shirt off. I took my own hoodie off, whining my hips into him. “I care about you, too, Amir.” He lift me off his hip to take my biker shorts off, take of his jeans completely while I took his dick out, stroking it and sitting on it. I eased on to it, beginning to bounce while he gripped for dear life. “MMM, baby. Keep doing that shit,” he said while groaning. I went faster as I took my bra off to feel his chest on mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and threw my head back. “Fuck. Amir. If you ever left babe..fuck. I swear I would lose it.” I said in between panting.
Amir said “me too baby. I’m not gonna leave. I’m staying right here. I’m not going anywhere. Shit.” I kissed his lips again and he started smacking my ass again. “Fuck, daddy. Promise you never leave again. Please promise” I asked in a sweet moan. He held me closer as he stood up and putting my back to a wall. “I promise. If I do leave, you’ll be right there beside me, baby.” His pace sped and strokes got deeper. “Look at that. You creamin’ all over that dick. Who making you do that huh.?”
“You are.” He put me back on the floor, turned me around and entered; he sped up. “I can’t hear you. Say that shit again.” He had my chest pressed up against the cold wall and y head yanked back, laying his shoulder. “You! Are! SHiiiiiiiiiit.” He started to kiss my neck and on my spot by my ear, making me soakin’ wet. “There you go, baby. Damn, girl. I’ll do anything for you. I’ll treat you better than you ever been treated. Anything you need, I got it baby. I’ll make you the best to ever hit the music industry.” Just his voice alone turned me but him saying things like that got me even more. After thirty more minutes of making love in the studio and finishing up in the bed, we lied there with my back against him and his arms wrapped around me. He had his face in my neck, kissing up to my ear. “Veronica, I don’t wanna hear anything else negative from you again, aight? I’m dead ass, too. You too good for all dat. I care about you too damn much for you to think anything negative. So that ends now. Aight. I’m not goin’ anywhere.” “Fine. Okay, Amir.” I pressed my back against him more and kissed his lips. He started to put his tongue in my mouth as I flatten my back on to the bed with him hovering me. “Babe, we gotta wake up early to record.” He said, with a pouted lip, “just the tip.” I smacked him playfully and said “BWOY!”

 AMIR
I woke up the next morning to see V wide awake in a burgundy sweat shirt, hair braided with her headphones, notebook between us and my MacBook on her lap. I sat up, put my arm around her neck, kissed her head and said “good morning, baby.” She took her headphones off and said “good morning.”
“What you doin’ up, girl. It’s six am.” She took the headphones out and the beat we started on last night started playing but it was finished and touched up. I nodded to the beat and looked at V. “What you think? I decided to finish in time to record whenever you got up.” I got out of bed and to our dresser to put on some grey sweat suit. I took her hand with macbook and her notebook, leading her to the studio. “It’s perfect. Now, get yo cute ass in there so we can get this song done.”; in five hours were editing, adding back up vocals and done.

We were listenin’ to the final cut as she sat in my lap and singing to me. “I told we can do it. Now, let’s send it to Cassidy so can get our routines done.” V planned on performing “Sorry Not Sorry”, “Love You Long Time” then to slow things down “Say It Again.” We got up and made our way to get dressed to get to Cassidy’s studio. She wore a biker set body suit and a white tee crop top while I threw on a white tee and black basketball short and we were matching high top converse. She had to bring a pair of heels with her to rehearse in. When we got there we saw a whole dance crew of men and women, Cassidy and two other females with “Say It Again” playing in the background; Demi, Gabi and Jazz walked in behind us.

VERONICA
The woman on the left was brown skin with big curly hair and the one on the right a light skin and waves. Cassidy whole team were wearing pride colors and all. “Hey, y’all” Cassidy said after taking a sip of water. Amir looked at everyone and said “what’s going on.?” Cassidy smiled and said “well since you are performing at one of the biggest clubs in Florida, V, I called in some help. All my best dancers that have worked from artists like, Flo Rida, RiHanna and Bey are here. Also, I called me girls to assist you with anything and everything you would possibly need.” She walked up to us with her heels clicking. “So no more struggling with finding ‘fits or trying to do your hair. When you start becoming a celebrity, you won’t have the time. Good start practicing now.” She held my shoulder under her arm and took Amir’s arm as we walked to the group.
Cassidy then said “Veronica, Amir, this is my styling dream team. Charlie Stone is one of the best stylist I have worked with. She has done work for multiple fashion shows in the underground fashion scene. She might be your celeb stylist one day” Charlie smiled at us and had a cute gap between her teeth like a British model. She wore a pair of latex pants, a white bustier top and white platform sneakers with a leather cap When she held her hand out, she an almond shaped french tip manicure. “Hi. I can’t wait to start working with you.” I shook her hand and agreed. Cassidy said “and this right here is the best make up and hair artist. When ever I have a huge event or a party to perform at she is the first one I call. Bonnie Cruz.” Bonnie wore a huge bomber jacket with a jean dress and nude Louboutin heels with her waves tucked behind her ears. “Hi, Veronica. Nice to meet you.”
Amir looked at them and asked Cassidy “so what did you have in mind for V as in the performance?” Cassidy looked at Amir and then at myself. “Well, V is gonna be singing and dancing.” My eyes grew big and I said “huh”. Cassidy laughed and nudged my arm.
“You are gonna be performing all while singing.”
“C, how in the lovely fuck am I gonna do that?”
Tumblr media
Cassidy started to explain. “Girl, it’s not hard. The dances I’ve made aren’t bad. You’ll be able to control your breathing and sing all at the same time.” She looked to her dance team as she stood beside them. Amir, Charlie, Bonnie and my back up singers stood to the side as “Sorry, Not Sorry” played. “Alright team, just like we rehearsed. Five, six, five, six seven eight.” They started and when I tell you this dance looked hard as hell. Amir and I looked at each other and I can tell what he was thinking.
“V, you think you got it?”
“I hope.”
AMIR
I looked down at her as she watched everyone and I can tell she was overwhelmed. I held her hand and brought her in closer. “Baby, you’ll be fine.” I grabbed her shoes and took her sneakers off to switch into her heels. The dance ended and Cassidy asked V “ok, V. So for right now while you watch, you’re gonna be jumping up to the beat and singing with the girls over here.” V looked at her and said “how can I do all this with mic with a cord on it.” Cassidy shook her head chuckled. “V, I talked to RJ and she said that you will provided with a headset microphone. I would not being doing all this if you had a cord microphone. Trust me, girl.”
HOURS LATER
"Okay, y’all take ten”, Cassidy said as the team went to their breaks. Veronica finally jumped in and got it down but she was exhausted. She came to my side on the mirror with beads of sweat coming down her face and her white shirt was see through because of all the sweat and tears. “You good, V”, I asked with a laugh and she smacked my arms. “This ain’t funny, Amir. I’m tired as hell. I can’t do it. And you not making me change my mind.” Before I can talk, she went up to Cassidy to ask where the bathroom was; she started walking and closed the door behind her. I went to Cassidy and said “go ahead and do another round with the team. I gotta talk to V.” She nodded and watched me go to the bathroom. V was looking at the mirror, I locked the door and turned to see me. “Bumbaclat! Amir, you scared the fuck outta me boy.” She sat on the sink counter and looked me in the face. My arms were folded and brow raised. “What”, she asked.
I walked up to her and asked “what did I say about being negative, V?” She looked me in the face and shook her head. “Words, V.” She looked me up and down and said “I don’t remember. Maybe, you can refresh my memory.” I spread her lips with mine and our tongues tackled one another. “Get up and take that suit off.” I told her as I took my self out my underwear; stroking it. I leaned against the stall and saw her eyes waiting on me to give her another command. “Play with that pussy for me, V. Make sure she get nice and wet for this dick.” She started rubbing her clit and grinding into her hand while looking at me. She sat back on the counter wit her legs wide open and heels on each side so I can get a clear view. I stroked my self harder watching her.
“Like this, daddy?”
“Yeah, baby. Just like that. Keep doing that shit.”
“I wish I can have your dick right now. I wanna cream all over it and suck it all off, clean.
“Nah, only women who don’t give up and act like big girls get dicked down. Are you gonna be positive, baby?”
She nodded and said “yes, daddy. Please?” I walked over to the counter and grabbed her ankles, pulled them closer to me and entered her pink folds, slowly. “Tell me you gonna stop being negative.”
“I won’t be negative anymore. I promise.” I sped up and said “fuck. Say it again.”
“I promise. I’ll only be positive.”
“No more negative vibes, right?”
“No more, Amir. I swear.”
“You gonna be a champ, right?”
“Yes.”
I sped up. “Nah, I can’t hear you. You gonna be a champ, RIGHT?!”
“Fuck. YESSSS. I’m gonna come.”
“Fa real?”
“Yesssss.” She began rubbing her clit but then..
“Wait, what are you doing” she asked as I put my dick back in my pants and zipping up. I looked her in the face and said “if you can go all day with out being negative as fuck, I might let you come when we get home. Deal?” I held out my hand and she looked at it confused but yet she looked amused with a smirk on her face. “Deal.” She shook my hand and I left the room as she got dressed. I leaned back on the mirror and watched her come back, standing next to C and the singers watching them. “You ready, V?” She had her eyes on me and said “ready”. The song started and V had her cordless mic in hand singing and dancing. No shaky breath found and her confidence sky high. She did one move were she bounces up and down as she turns to the audience; she winked at me and smiled.
Rehearsal was over, Bonnie and Charlie exchanged numbers with V and we were back our crib. She went straight to the bathroom and began the water. I sat on the bed, unlacing my shoes and getting comfortable. “You did great today, baby. You should have shit down packed by Saturday.” The room was silent then I heard “oh, Amirrrrrrrrr.” I looked up and saw Veronica, butt ass naked standing in the doorway.
“I believe I didn’t complain for the whole day, right?”
“Yeah, no complaints”, I watched her every move.
She walked, stood over me and asked “so are you coming or not”. She took my hand and lead me to the bathroom. “Shit, we gonna be coming soon.” We closed the door to enjoy our wet fun.

Firework officially launches a short-form video storytelling app, backed by Lightspeed
Facebook usage declined for the first time in a decade, while video-centric apps like TikTok are being touted as the future of social media. Entering this redefined playing field comes Firework, a fast-growing social video app whose clever trick is something it calls “Reveal videos” – a way for creators to take both horizontal and vertical video in one shot from their mobile device. Video viewers can then twist their phone as the video plays to watch from a new perspective and see more of the scene.
While Snapchat pioneered the idea of vertical video, newer companies are trying to free viewers from format constraints.
For example, Jeffrey Katzenberg’s mobile streaming service Quibi is pitching its ability to offer an ideal viewing experience no matter how you hold your phone. As Quibi CEO Meg Whitman explained last week in an interview at SXSW, the company has “created the ability to do full-screen video seamlessly from landscape to portrait,” she said.
That sounds a lot like Firework, in fact.
Firework has filed a patent on its own flip-the-screen viewing technology which it believes will give creators new ways to tell stories. Besides letting viewers in on more of the action, “reveal videos” also provide an opportunity for things like unexpected plot twists or surprise endings.
The way this works is that creators hold their smartphone horizontally to film, and Firework places a vertical viewfinder on the screen so they know which part of their shot will appear to viewers when they hold their phone straight up and down.
This recording screen has some similarities to TikTok, as you can stop and start recording, reshoot the various parts, and add music.
“Snapchat really pushed being vertical only,” explains Firework Chief Revenue Officer Cory Grenier, who joined the company from Snapchat, where he was the first Director of Sales & Marketing.
“What we see is that most professional filmmakers want to show their work on Vimeo first, and second on YouTube. There isn’t this world where you can really frame the context and the characters of a cinematic story on vertical – it just can’t happen,” he says.
Beyond the technology involved with Firework’s new filming technique, the company is also aiming to carve out a space that will differentiate it from other short-form video – whether that’s TikTok or soon, Quibi.
Firework’s videos are longer than TikTok’s at 30 seconds instead of just 15, but far shorter than Quibi’s eight minutes.
“30 seconds is really the sweet spot between the Snaps that are 10 seconds and something that’s longer-form,” notes Grenier. “10 seconds is too short to really tell a story. You want to have a powerful opening, a clear middle, and a really interesting or unexpected ending,” he says.
youtube
This format lends itself better to short stories, rather than the remixed, music-backed memes found on TikTok, the company believes. But it also remains user-gen, as opposed to the high production value “TV quality” content shot for Quibi using two cameras. (And a lot more money).
Instead, Firework is focused on what it calls “premium user-gen” – meaning, it will feature a mix of professional creators and up-and-comers. To date, Firework has worked with names like Flo Rida, Dexter Darden (Maze Runner), model and Miss USA Olivia Jordan, Disney star Jordyn Jones, Frankie Grande, and others.
It’s also working with a handful of brands, including Refinery29 and Complex Networks. But the company doesn’t want to inundate the app with content from brands, it says.

In addition to the horizontal-to-vertical trick, Firework is also doing something different in terms of fan engagement: it’s ditching comments. Users can only privately message a video’s creator – they can’t comment on the video itself.
“Haters and trolls, they want an audience  – they want to elicit a polarizing reaction. We remove that,” says Grenier.
And instead of “liking” a video, users can only bookmark the video or share it – an engagement which is styled like a retweet, as the video is posted to your profile with all the original credit intact.
Founded less than two years in Mountain View and now relocated to Redwood City with teams in L.A., Japan, and Brazil, Firework parent Loop Now tested a couple apps that didn’t find product market fit before launching Firework.
Its team of 51 full-time today combines both tech talent and Hollywood expertise.
This includes: CEO Vincent Yang, a Stanford MBA and previously co-founder and CEO at EverString; co-founder and COO Jerry Luk, employee No. 30 at LinkedIn and previously at Edmodo; biz dev head Bryan Barber, formerly of Warner Brothers, Universal Pictures and Fox; and CRO Corey Grenier, noted above.
Unlike Quibi, Firework’s parent company Loop Now Technologies has raised “millions” – not a billion dollars – to get off the ground. Its early backers include original Snap investor Lightspeed, IDG Capital, and an (undisclosed) early investor in Musical.ly. (Firework is poised to announce its Series A in a few weeks so is holding off on investment details for now.)
The app launched last year and has been in an open beta until now.
According to data from Sensor Tower, it has 1.8 million installs on iOS, 55 percent in the U.S.
Firework claims it has 2 million registered users, across iOS and Android.
