Hiii your artstyle feels very loose and fun!! Are there any specific influences or ways you go about it that you think contribute to that? :O

aw thank you so much!! I actually think my style could be looser haha but it definitely used to be more stiff and I think that mostly comes with practice and building line confidence over the years!!

i have been trying to incorporate more quickly-drawn lines of action into my sketches, and if i don't feel like a sketch is going how i want to just restart sooner instead of trying to fix the current sketch.

I also kinda have 2 sketch phases now, 1 very quick just for very loose lines of action+shapes, and 2 an 'actual' sketch that i can be more loose about (ie less worried about proportions or posing) because i already got a good base from sketch 1

and maybe its cause ive been drawing more traditionally in my sketchbook, for whatever reason i sketch more quickly/easily in there and i think its transferring over to helping me draw looser digitally too! :]

i'll look into it myself a bit later today, but does anyone have any good storyboard classes they really recommend? specifically about toonboom storyboard and learning to use the camera + the ui, step by step to making the storyboards into an animatic, and maybe some 3d thrown in if that class is Really comprehensive. i've used harmony, but i've heard storyboard is a bit better for animatics so i wanted to give it a try

What writing program do you use? I really like that session word count target feature

i use scrivener which is expensive but i really enjoy it. they have a free trial and i looked up a discount code when i bought it and got like $20 off :)

its got a lot of shit in it that tbh i dont know how to use lmao i mainly use the blank project preset and (its best feature for me personally) is that i can have every fic 'open' at once and swap between them with a click

^ this is my side bar for my fanfic project for reference and not having to open a new document or tab in order to start working on a different fic is sooooo helpful for me so that i dont get stuck

the session counter thing is super useful! you can edit the amount to suit your writing style and stuff its awesome. and! theres a little blue bar that fills as you write so you can visually track how youre going without having to see an actual count!

in recognition that i have been On One today i do want to say that the combat in veilguard has really grown on me!!!! i think that it took me a while to learn+get comfy with but now that i'm more used to it i'm comfortable going out w/o a companion set up to heal me. i feel pretty good about strategizing w party comp and what skills/runes to slot in. i'd consider trying to up the difficulty to hard mode in my future runs.

Saw a dress tutorial that uses one of those pre smocked fabrics from Joannes + another type of fabric you like, where the person cuts out triangles from the smocked dress then sews on the other fabric in those spots and it makes the dress more flowy and im. kinda tempted to try my hand at it bc it looks fairly easy....
