A few nights ago I had a dream that there was this new trend, promoted by Youtubers and whatnot, where you could be, like ... buried up to your neck in a flowerbed. Like, you lay down in the garden, and your whole body got covered in dirt and moss. For, like, months on end. At no point did the dream establish what the point of this was. There wasn't even a name for this ... phenomenon. I decided to have this done to myself.

My "flowerbeds" project is still on-going. Front yard needs few flowers more, on the wall as well, and a carpet. It looks too naked like that, with unfinished rose flowerbed as well. Another Dahlia needs some green like the yellow one. Local flower seller had only 3 of those green vine plants but he said he will get more of them later. I need 3 of them for red Dahlia. I also need to get outdoor power wire for the fountain.

I also need to finish 2-3 big flowerbeds on the backyard. I also want to make one small vegetable bed for my peas and carrots. Maybe potatoes too.

basil may be the oldest of the 3 but he is also the shortest and they will make sure he will not forget it ^_^ revenge

In the autumn, Nature bedecks the garden with red lanterns. 

The “lantern” is the inflated basal calyx surrounding the fruit of the Chinese Lantern Plant (Physalis alkekengi). Each lantern contains a round red fruit that becomes visible as the lantern decomposes into a spidery web of vascular tissue. If picked at the height of their colour, the Chinese lantern fruit makes a beautiful dried flower that keeps its colour and shape for over a year. This plant is the only Eurasian species closely related to the famous Andean aguaymanto or cape gooseberry (Physalis peruviana). Unlike the tasty aguaymanto, the berry inside the Chinese lantern plant is not edible although the plant is used in East Asian herbal medicine. 

Approximately for the Halloween season, the plant features in Japanese folklore as a lantern associated with the spirit world. I’ve included a page from the Japanese manga series xxxHolic by CLAMP depicting supernatural beings using the lanterns, or “hozuki”, in a procession.
